albeit spending just a short 4-full days in tokyo, i think this trip was indeed a great one, i have been to most of the places a tourist should go, i have seen and eaten most of the things i wished to see and eat, plus a big bonus for being able to attend a shintō wedding.. at least, i can say i have been to japan after so many years of wanting to step foot onto this land of the rising sun.. i believe we can never see and do everything with just one short trip, probably i'll plan for another trip to tokyo again for a more "detailed" experience of the city.. anyway, this is part five as well as the last part (very happy right??) of the travelogue and i hope you'll enjoy reading it.. :)

    1. Adoi! STP, you don't have nice thing to say to SK kah? The other day said SK far from nice, today say SK is dark.

Adoi! Luckily I didn't say anything bad.

By the way, SK is wearing Ubah color, thumbs up!

    2. Sunburn in Japan? The chances to get sunburn is higher here in Malaysia. Just stand under the sun for 30 minutes and I'm sure you'll get 100x darker shade, muahahaha!

      Delete
    3. Actually I feel the sun is way hotter in Japan than in Malaysia.

Like it's hotter (and dryer) in Beijing during summer months. Give me Malaysia anytime.

    4. i have no idea why i looked more tanned, hahaha!! maybe the UV is stronger there, plus we were mostly outdoor during our stay in Japan, unlike being home we stay most of the time indoor..

japanese curry is nice, not the spicy ones that i couldn't take yet it has the fragrance still.. i like~~ :)

    1. I am quite shocked that Tokyo Disneyland was opened so long ago before your daughter arrived!!! Blink! Blink!

Now it is cheaper to visit Japan compared to 20 years ago! It depends on your lavish style of eating and hotels.

    2. Twilight Man, you right? Nowadays with AA you can always fly to Japan with a very reasonable rate. Do some own research, I bet is a fun trip without a tourist guide.

    3. Besides air tickets fair, hotel and food is up to you to choose from according to your budget. SK's RM2500 4Day's trip to Japan is simply amazing.

aiyoh, next time go Japan must consult Anay and Lina lah.. they really know how to make the trip 5-star with just 2-star expenses!!

Do you know Japanese rice they served are the best quality among those exported to other countries? They always reserved the best quality food for their own rakyat. Second best only are the exported ones.

    2. I love Japanese curry to bits, same as my girls. I always cook that myself.

      Delete
    3. i've been there for only 4 days and i had almost one month of rice intake quote back home, hahaha!! oh, i didn't know that they reserved the best for themselves.. unlike us, the best are always exported and the rakyat always have the lower quality ones..

i actually like japanese curry, not hot and just nice to eat, yet still have that very fragrant curry smell..

  21. Yeap, their building and houses is built slightly inchess apart. Meant for earthquake? it could be.

My guess will be, they always have this culture "mind their own business". One thing is that they do not like to share with strangers. Ot it could be they do not want to be disturb or they don't want to disturb by other people. Japanese are friendly, but sometimes in terms of this privacy they are very particular with.

    5. Thanks for sharing your awesome Japan travelogue! I had a good time looking at all the photos and reading your descriptions! ;)

    6. I thought the gap is there simply because the owner / builder of each building is different. & then, they can easily tore down each singular building to build a new one? No?

    7. the trip is definitely wonderful i have to conclude.. yoyogi park (yes, what a cute name) is very huge, what i showed was just one small corner of it, it has lots of facilities and amenities.. we were just briefly strolling on the way to the flea market..

okaylah, my intention for this trip wasn't to shop and buy lots of things.. more of sightseeing and of course eat lah.. for example, having afternoon tea in a posh area like a 富太, that was a good experience mah, haha!!

i really have no idea about the gaps between the buildings.. so mainly because they are owned differently??

  34. Photo F: Anay loves Japanese Curry Rice and Letchumi makes the best ones. She accidentally discovered the secrets how the great Nihon Chefs made their curry so fragrant in restaurants! In Kyoto we dined at the famous shop that only served Japanese Curry and they have their spicy Ratings from number 1 to 10. Anay played safe and ordered No 6. My mouth was on FIRE!!!!!

    1. oh, Letchumi cooks the best japanese curry rice?? Thambee likes, so what are the secret ingredients she found out and used?? aiyoh, if Thambee was to choose then maybe just 3 lah, cannot take spicy food and doesn't want to take the risk, I still want to enjoy my holiday.. BTW, what is the name of that curry restaurant??

      Delete
    2. One day when my angin is right I will ask Letchumi to cook the curry and ask my despatch to deliver to your door! Let me go home and dig out my Kyoto photos to get the restaurant's name ok.

    3. wokay wokay, i will get the kukubird to make you naik angin one day!! muahahahaha!! eih, no joke, i actually love japanese curry, very appetizing and can make me wallop the whole plate of rice!!

  35. Photo G: Anay has been dreaming to visit Harajuku and see the punks doing street dancings! The BERSIH crowd was so scary and poor Thambee had no souvenir shopping! It was really a bustling place!! I would prefer a quiet street to do window shopping.

    1. i don't know, haha!! maybe a place like Sungei Wang lah.. with lots of weirdo and interesting things to see, but primarily should be all the Lolita and Naruto that makes it famous.. yeah, i would like to snap more photos, but really it was too packed with people..

    3. yeah, i may take photo but then most probably i won't blog anything about them lah.. to me these are so mundane details!! hahaha.. hmmm, foongpc blogging workshop?? wow, entry requirements: must be generous bloggers who want to share EVERY DETAIL OF EVERYTHING!! :)

  46. Photo K: What a polite bunch of Japanese demonstrators! If they come to BKK or KL, they won't be noticed!! They need to have BERSIH's size of rally dei. They fought for children's better future BUT here we have been fighting so hard for UBAH - INI KALI LAH!!! Nothing has happened so far, so I think only a disaster or lightning is required to remove them!

  48. Photo M: I saw in TV documentaries that Tokyo has so many earthquake proof or resistance buildings and structures. They had so many mild and strong tremors every year and the buildings have remained intact without cracks. Those taller buildings have giant buoy-like metal structure below underground to allow the buildings to sway a bit!!! They are indeed so advanced!!

I am more interested to know what was that white sculpture that looked like Alien-Sotong!!!! Muahahahahaa

    1. yeah, they have been surviving from numerous devastating earthquakes and natural disasters, and yet they are still so advanced!! how we oughta salute the japanese right?? errr, the white sotong?? i don't think it's something special, just some random sculptures on the street i guess..

  50. Photo O: I always liked the idea of ctching late evening or night flights home, so that I could laze around to do last minute sight seeings. I have big lessons never to arrive at the destinations at midnight or depart at early mornings! Both timings are wasteful of money!!!

So this is the photo that some squint-eyed people said you looked dark?? I think it was just some lighting effects that gave you the tanned look like David Beckham! Nice!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. very true!! i also prefer taking late evening or night flight back, at least still have some time to sort of linger and do some last-minute activities.. hate having to rush to catch early flight, which means one day wasted..

BTW, David Beckham isn't tanned at all lah.. actually i think we spent time outdoor most of the time, not surprise that i got tanned with the strong UV there..
