A Review of 2014 by Month: Part 2 of 2
it felt like time passed even more quicklier (okay, i mean more quickly *again*) than winking my eyes, year 2014 will be a history after today!! end of every year, i will do a summary for my blog by picking one most "have-the-feel" post from each month and then consolidate them into this concluding post (split into part one for yesterday and part two for today).. well, i better not make more introduction but let's see how much you can still remember about the following posts i have hand-picked?? hahaha.. before i sign-off, let me wish everyone a HAPPY NEW YEAR and we shall meet again back here in 2015!! :)

[Volume 9 Issue 12, #1980]
The Eating and Look-See Trip in Ipoh
nope, i didn't just come back from Ipoh but it was a stop-by on the way back to KL from Penang couple of weeks ago.. just want to get this posted before the new year comes, you know, i am not one who likes to drag my travelogue for years as i always believe "freshness from the oven".. if i keep dragging, i'd feel like myself lagging behind while others have already moved on far ahead (no offence intended), haha!! so, just a quick one for Ipoh, as i know many have been to this place and elaboration is not necessary.. to briefly wrap up this trip, i'd say i did the same thing like i did in Penang - see mural paintings and eat!! hahaha, enjoy the photos below anyway.. :p

[Volume 9 Issue 12, #1979]
31 Years Ago in 1983 A.D.
i've moved house three times and the current one undergone one major renovation, hence many of my stuffs are (still) kept in boxes.. you know, when you don't need that thing, it's forever kept intact inside the box regardless how many inches of dust it collects.. okay, too much nonsense I know.. i actually wanted to say i accidentally found my kindergarten graduate certificate and report card!! year 1983, it's 31 years ago, and they are still in perfect conditions, OMG!! so old even the chinese reads from right to left, haha!! i surely had no idea what those were when i received them, now i am shocked to see my results and that i actually topped the class!! hahaha, no wonder i was asked to perform solo and elected as the representative on stage on that graduation performance night~~ :D
chinese idiom of the day: 小時了了, 大未必佳 (xiao3 shi2 liao3 liao3, da4 wei4 bi4 jia1) - one who was clever when young may not be as good after grown up.. :p

[Volume 9 Issue 12, #1978]
The Incident of A 20-sen Coin in Chili Sauce
My 20-sen Dropped into Chili Sauce
i guess everyone wonders why this 20-sen coin is dipped inside the chili sauce, haha!! nope, i'm not that hungry that i would eat this coin (with chili), it was there because the noodles stall boss accidentally dropped it inside.. i said he dropped it because it was before the change reached my hand, reasonable?? so, today's post is all about two questions below regarding this incident..
#1.. What would you expect the boss to do??
my expectation:
the boss will give me another clean 20-sen, take the chili sauce back to his stall and then come back with a new plate of sauce.. i don't actually expect an apology but i guess most people will at least do that, agree??
what actually happened:
the boss looked at the coin, said "oh, it dropped into the chili sauce" and then walked away, never looked back and never came back!!
#2.. What would you do??
what i would do:
under usual circumstances in which i guess most bosses would show some signs of apology, i'll said "no problem" and let it be, regardless if i am going to get back a clean 20-sen and the sauce.. it's actually a small matter really, agree??
what i actually did:
seeing no sign of regret from the boss, i picked up the coin, rinsed it in the clear soup (of course after i was done) and then washed it with soap at the basin in the coffee shop.. 20-sen is still money, no matter how troublesome, i am so not going to "donate" it to someone who behaved like him.. it's a matter of principle and not about money - what say you??

Penang: The Heaven for Local Street Food
Penang Street Food @ Air Itam
i guess i have already passed that stage that i must take photos of every single food laid in front of me.. when i remember Penang is a heaven for local street food, and that many bloggers love to see food posts (in the common flat layout), and in order i am not "complained" for not writing a food post for my Penang trip, haha!! hence, i searched for the food photos i reminded myself to take.. okay, here are what i have, *paiseh*.. but i have to say i did enjoy the food very much, so enjoyed that my camera may not "eat" before me, hahaha!! hope you enjoy reading too.. :p

[Volume 9 Issue 12, #1975]
The China House @ Lebuh Pantai, Penang
there is one thing i love about Penang, everywhere i go in Georgetown, i can still see old buildings very well preserved and maintained, and many are converted for commercial use.. so unlike her big brother KL, where it seems all old buildings must be demolished to give way to modern structures (=.=").. after a brief walk at Armenian Street that night , we hopped over to this place called ChinaHouse for a drink.. nope, it's not a place to house just the Chinese but a place with restaurant, bar, art centre etc under one roof, one roof that links two pre-war colonial house.. i LIKE this "retro contemporary" place, sounds contradicting?? but that's what it makes me feel!! :p
