It's Bangkok, Again..

當呢篇貼出街嘅時候, 我應該已經辦好登機手續, 等緊上機由曼谷飛回家喇.. 係呀, 今年第二次嚟曼谷, 今次係兩日公事另外再加兩日逍遙遊.. 其實都冇乜要寫囉, 所以一篇貼搞掂佢當係作個紀錄啦.. 我哋大家都喜愛精簡嘅(旅遊)貼嘛, 唔係㗎咩?? 哈哈!!

when this post is published, i should have already checked in and waiting for my flight back home from Bangkok.. yeah, this is my second trip to Bangkok this year, this time two days on business and another two days on leisure.. nothing much that i have to blog, so just one simple post to conclude it all and for a record.. i think we all love short and sweet (travelogue) posts, don't we?? hehe!!

酒店就喺正國家體育場對面, 由十九樓房間望出去嘅靚景色.. hotel is located directly opposite of the National Stadium, great view from my room on the 19th floor.. 喺曼谷其實唔係行街買嘢就係食嘢, 今次好似食日本嘢多噃.. :p i guess it's all about eating in Bangkok besides shopping, and i think i had Japanese more this time.. :p 當然少不了小食啦, 因為樓下就有間麥當勞, 隔離就有間7-11, 怪佢太過方便, 哈哈!! of course, did not miss out snacking since McD is just below and 7-11 is just next door, blame the convenience, haha!! 最後, 展示下兩日逍遙遊所斬獲到嘅戰利品, 當然比上一次少得多啦~~ lastly, some clothes i bought during the two days on leisure, surely less than what i had from the previous trip~~

我最近嘅曼谷之旅基本上係寫完㗎喇.. 不過見手機內仲淨低幾張相, 倒不如就拎埋出嚟寫多篇完結貼咁啦.. 史上第一次成個trip嘅相通通曬冷, 唔係我寫得多, 而係我根本冇乜點影, 哈哈!! 今日就以呢個問答貼埋尾啦, 唔係你所以為嘅旅遊貼士或有奬游戲, 只不過係回答讀者留言所問嘅一啲問題啫.. 再一次證明雖然我(冇時間)回覆留言, 但係我有去逐條睇㗎!! enjoy.. :)

i am basically done with my recent Bangkok trip with the previous three posts.. however, i saw a few remaining photos in my phone and thought, might as well just use them all up for one finale post.. for the very first time i "show hand" all photos of a trip in my blog, not because i wrote a lot but because i took very few photos, haha!! so, a Q&A post this is, not about travel tips or giveaway contest, but rather to answer some questions posted by my readers in the comments sections.. it proves again that though i did not (have the time to) reply to your comments, i actually read every single one of them!! enjoy.. :)

我對上兩次去曼谷係八年前同一個月, 都係當年嘅公司出錢嘅, 一次係去training, 而另一次係公司team-building旅行.. 再之前嘅泰國遊呢, 就係2000年世紀初去過合艾兩次.. 一共四次trip就係我學會少少好基本嘅泰語同埋點樣嗌某啲食物.. 今日呢篇係曼谷悠遊系列最後一貼, 我知好多讀者都很期待睇我食過啲乜.. 好啦, 好似寫遊記一定要寫美食咁, 請大家細賞.. 不過先此聲明, 我唔係(好記得)影咗好多相, 而且我冇食冬陰功, 冇食芒果飯.. 多謝大家捧場!! :)

my last two trips to Bangkok were in the same month 8 years ago, both sponsored by my then-company, one for training and the other a company team-building trip.. before this, my Thai experience was in early 2000s when i went to Haadyai twice.. these four trips were when i learned a little basic colloquial Thai as well as their local food.. as the final post for this series of Bangkok travelogue, i know many readers can't wait to read about what i had eaten throughout the trip.. okay, like a food post is a must, here you go.. but please pardon me as i did not (remember to) take many photos, and FYI i did not have tomyum and sticky rice with mango.. thanks for reading!! :)

我哋原先都冇諗住要extend咁多日嘅, 之不過因為公共假期關係, 機票特別貴.. 所以決定逗留耐啲, 因為俾多兩晚住宿都經濟同值得過俾peak-season嘅額外票價啦.. 一共有八日咁長, 都有諗過可以花一兩日去清邁, 巴提雅或者大城府, 但係最終放棄呢個打算.. 與其咁緊湊, 倒不如輕鬆自在留喺曼谷啦.. 就咁, 除咗見客嗰一段時間, 我哋其余時間就周圍去行下(當然中會有空檔返旅館擺低嘢同休息)同埋搵幾位嗰邊嘅朋友見下面..

we did not plan to extend stay for that many days initially, but due the overlapping public holidays, airtickets were more expensive.. hence, we decided to stay longer in Thailand since two more nights of accommodation was a lot more economical and worthwhile than paying for the extra peak-season airfares.. having 8 days in total, we thought of an excursion to either Chiang Mai, Pattaya or Ayutthaya, but we ditched the idea and ended up taking it easy and relax just in Bangkok.. therefore, besides the meeting, we spend our time "exploring" around (with intermittent breaks back to hotel to unload and take rest) and meeting up with a few friends there..

相信唔少讀者都很好奇我上個禮拜去咗邊.. 唔係咩又遠又高檔嘅地方啦, 泰國曼谷之嘛.. 呢次可以話係個九私(下遊玩)一公(幹)之旅, 去嗰邊見個potential partner, 然之後趁假期之便, 自己extend幾日逗留喺曼谷玩.. 其實冇諗過要寫呢個trip嘅遊記, 只係有讀者提醒咗我.. 點講呢?? 曼谷係「普遍」至好多人都有去過嘅地方嘛, 我其實冇乜特別嘢好寫喎.. 更何況今次已係我第三次去, 2007年十月都去過兩次, 所以新鮮感不大.. 都好, 與其絞腦汁諗要寫咩貼, 倒不如拎我(記得)影低嘅少少相片, 實行以相片分類說故事啦.. 不過放心, 呢個系列會係易消化嘅(因為只有3篇貼), 唔似得日本遊記咁heavy(我知悶親大家), 哈哈!! 希望各位慢慢觀賞啦.. :)

i guess many readers were curious where i was away to for the past week.. nowhere far nowhere exquisite, just BANGKOK only lah.. it was a 90/10 Leisure/Business trip, went there to meet up a potential partner and then extended stay for leisure considering the long holidays.. i actually have not thought of blogging this trip until some readers "reminded" me with their expectations.. i mean, Bangkok is like so "common" and many have been there before, i have nothing special that i wanted to blog about.. furthermore, this was my third visit after the first two in October 2007, hence even less excitement.. okay, rather than having to scratch my head for topics, i shall just blog in categories base on the very few photos i (remember to, sic) have taken.. no worries, i promise you this will be a light series (only 3 posts) unlike the heavy Japan trip posts (i know they bored you), haha!! hope you enjoy~~ :)

最近兩位博客朋友不約而同寫咗佢哋去曼谷嘅post, 讓我記返起我自己於2007年嘅曼谷之旅, 爭啲就忘記咗我嘅游記重溫系列添!! 好啦, 去馬喇.. 到目前為止, 我一共(只係)去過曼谷兩次, 兩次都係同一年嘅同一個月去, 而且兩次都係舊公司贊助嘅.. 第一次係去training五日, 跟住就與同行嘅兩位新加坡同事延長三日, 自己喺呢個城市週圍逛.. 第二次係company trip, 除咗去曼谷, 我哋一大班人(包括來自馬來西亞, 新加坡, 香港, 北京及上海嘅同事, 仲有泰國生意夥伴嘅幾位代表), 齊齊坐火車去曼谷以西一個叫Kanchanaburi嘅小鎮.. 唔講咁多喇, 大家睇相說故事啦~~ :) [後註] 其實當時都有寫過呢兩次嘅曼谷之旅, 啲相比蚊滋仲要細, 視覺享受絕對係零分, 呵呵!! 不過確實係記載住當時每日嘅心情同事跡嘅.. 有興趣可以去呢度重溫噃.. :)

a couple of blogger friends blogged about their trips to Bangkok recently, and that reminds me of my trips back in 2007, i have almost forgotten about my travelogue revisit series!! so here we go.. till date i have been to Bangkok (only) twice, both trips happened on the same month of the same year and both trips were sponsored by my previous company.. the first trip was a training for 5 days, together with two colleagues from Singapore we extended for three days and explored the city over the weekend.. the second trip was our company trip, besides Bangkok we (including colleagues from Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Beijing and Shanghai together with a few representatives from our Thai partner) took a train to a small town west of Bangkok which is called Kanchanaburi.. i better not write so much, better let the photos tell the story~~ :) [PS] i did blog about these two trips to Bangkok back then, all in chinese and photos were so tiny even ants couldn't see.. but they recorded my views and incidents that happened at those particular moments.. click here if you are interested to read on..

29.10.2007 | 繼續曼谷(4) 還我本色

最後一日, 早上checkout食完早餐之後, 距離上機時間尚余數小時空檔, 冇乜可以做, 於是就梗係同成班同事(係啊, 又係一棚人啊) 齊齊去shopping啦.. 嚟到Siam廣場就開始分組各行各, 我就同GC, MY同NG一齊行central world, siam paragon同MBK.. 因為啱啱由曼谷training返嚟不久, 所以就由我領軍帶領三位初哥大戰商場, 誓估唔到竟然叫我領教佢哋嘅血拼本色, GC同MY竟然第一間鋪就有斬獲, 跟住NG都不甘示弱.. 最後竟然係我呢個老雀空手行出個商場, 簡直離晒譜..
見佢哋一楸二冷笑口噬噬咁, 原本心情平復嘅我即刻被激起嗰份隱藏已久嘅購買慾, 於是一口氣喺siam paragon連續買咗三件, 好好醜醜都不至於得返個兩梳蕉啦.. 最後四人闊步昂行於呢個購物區, 仲惹起某些人羨煞目光添, 哈哈.. 滿載而歸之余, 當然就少不了同啲戰利品影影相留留念啦.. 不過遺憾的是, 時間唔係好夠, 匆匆忙忙咁又要趕去機場喇.. 未完架, 去到機場梗係又唔錯過免稅商品啦, 結果買咗一罐潤膚霜同買一支護眼素, 嘿嘿..

呢次曼谷company trip, 就以血拼本色劃上一個完美句號喇~~

28.10.2007 | 繼續曼谷(3) 勞勞碌碌

呢個桂河營地對住條河同埋幾座山, 山崖上有條鐵路, 而且又瞓喺水上, 堪稱係山明水秀啦.. 其實今次喺個貼近大自然嘅地方搞個company trip, 都算係一種體驗啦, 我覺得幾得意幾OK架, 不過唯一唔滿意就係要5個大男人逼埋一間擺得兩張Queen Size床褥嘅房間, 所以噚晚就真係瞓得唔好喇.. 不過算啦, 都係一晚啫, 知道要organize呢個trip都唔易, 唯有將就啲啦..
今日嘅重點就係teambuilding activities喇, 朝早食完早餐就開始一系列游戲.. 有拉布袋啦, 筷子夾乒乓波啦, 夾雞蛋啦, 河邊跋水啦, 掟水球啦, 都幾好玩嘅.. 結果公佈成績, 我隊竟然拎第一喎, 哈哈, 搞笑, 但係點解冇獎品嘅??

之後就食lunch喇, 跟住就搭火車(係啊, 又係架殘舊火車啊)返曼谷.. 五小時車程路途遙遠, 唯有與同事喺車廂內玩玩扑克牌消磨時間.. 幾經波折, 終於傍晚1830抵達曼谷.. 因為時間有限, 所以就揼低行李畀其他返酒店嘅同事, 我哋同香港同事即刻一支箭飛去shopping.. shop到唔夠喉, 又趕下一組泰式massage, 享受massage過後, 又再趕下一組唐人街食魚翅.. 成棚人浩浩蕩蕩咁, 嚇親街邊啲曼谷市民, 真係唔好意思喇, 哈哈!! 途中見有人賣炸草蜢, 青蛙, 蟋蟀, 蝗虫.. 有個神勇同事買咗嚟試, 都唔記得訪問佢食後感添..

叮叮噹噹咗成日, 返到酒店都差唔多係凌晨兩點鐘, 沖完涼敷完面膜(要多謝香港陳同事醒目幫我帶幾包即用面膜)即刻蹋落床勁瞓到第二朝.. 總括嚟講, 今日三個字可以形容--好鬼攰~~

27.07.2007 | 繼續曼谷(2) 桂河營地

未能盡情享受間豪華酒店高枕暖被, 今日晨早0530就出發去火車總站乘搭0630開往Kanchanaburi嘅火車喇.. 要咁早起身真係好痛苦嘅一回事, 況且今日係星期六.. 呢一程路, 可謂係舟車勞頓喇, 第一: 架火車真係好殘舊, 第二: 個目的地好遙遠, 第三: 沿路停停續續大小各站, 所以大部份時間都係喺度覺覺豬..
沿路停咗好多站, 但係最重要都係個桂河死亡鐵路橋(Death Railway and Bridge on River Kwai), 呢個聞名於世嘅歷史古蹟, 相信都唔駛我點介紹.. 見到呢座桂河橋真面目, 同平時照片上個樣一模一樣, 心內有種說不出嘅特別感覺.. 跟住就係個鐵路終站, 係個瀑布公園, 之不過有點失望, 個瀑布都冇乜特別, 而且人又多, 所以唯有喺呢度唯一一間餐廳食晏打發2.5小時停留時間.. 個餐廳雖然係"up up dup dup"咁, 不過啲嘢都幾好味噃, 尤其係上圖串燒豬肉同炭燒魚蓉, 好好食..

一輪車程之後, 下晝1500最後終於到達我哋目的地--桂河營地, 聽聞呢個桂河上嘅島仔, 以前係囚禁犯人嘅地方, 啲犯人都係全部捉去建條死亡鐵路嘅.. 我哋今晚就係住紮喺呢個已改為度假村嘅地方喇, 仲係住喺水上簡陋板屋兼輪流使用公廁, (同噚晚比較)直頭係夠晒簡朴生活嘅體驗啦..

26.10.2007 | 繼續曼谷(1) 一大棚人

約三個星期前曼谷一遊之後, 今日又再一次故地重游喇.. 雖然係短時間內去返同一個地方, 但係個心情係唔同嘅, 上次係因為公事而去, 今次係company trip所以個心情係開心啲嘅.. 好耐好耐都冇成棚人一齊去旅行喇, 今次除咗KL同事之外, 仲會同埋新加坡同事, 香港同事, 部份北京上海同事一齊喺曼谷會合, 大概有40人所以真係好大棚架..
今日仍需返半日工, 跟住全公司同事一齊搭下晝機飛曼谷, 一齊checkin一齊等行李, 睇吓我哋成車行李, 你話幾咁虛撼.. 我哋係最遲到步嘅, 所以其他同事都已經喺度等梗我哋架喇.. 平時同某啲同事都係MSN或email聯繫, 今次終於可以一見廬山真面目, 幸會幸會.. 見到啲好耐唔見嘅新加坡同埋香港同事, 就更加倍感親切, 個感覺真係好開心..

不過最開心最意外就係間酒店喇, 其實係間公寓式酒店, 大老細為咗攪關係所以用心良苦編排唔同office同事同住一間單位, 我有幸被編排入住五人單位, (經香港陳同事證實之後)應該係全酒店最大間最豪華單位.. 客廳, 飯廳+廚房, 三房+各自浴室, 大概有兩千呎咁大, 真係成世仔都未住過咁正酒店啊..

今日, 覺得自己好幸福~~

08.10.2007 | 曼谷符碌(9) 後會有期

第九日, 寫呢篇blog嘅時候正在飛機上.. 因為乘搭下晝班機返吉隆坡, 所以基本上係冇乜時間進行大事活動.. 都係得個朝早出去(係又再去)Ratchaprasong.. 冇乜「任務」在身, 所以都係喺啲商場入邊消磨時間, window shopping同埋影影相咁啦.. 大概三點鐘就折返酒店, 起程去Suvarnabhumi機場喇.. 泰國呢個新機場好大好靚啊, 帶點futuristic嘅設計, 個architecture好似個時光同道咁, 型爆啊.. 個機場真係好大, 入邊啲duty free shop又超多, 所以如果太早check-in都唔駛怕無聊.. 睇吓價錢其實啲嘢都有啲貴, 窮等人家冇錢買, 所以就漫遊整個機場, 週圍玩自影, 哈哈.. 雖然係架N年老相機, 但係出嚟啲效果都唔錯架, 算係為我今次曼谷之旅作個完美嘅回憶總結啦..
[繼續寫於降落吉隆坡後] 抵達吉隆坡時候落緊大雨, 因為坐budget airline嘅關係, 所以個機場都係budget type.. 落機後需要行一段open air路先至去到個terminal, imagine六七十年代啲機場就係架喇.. 落雨喎, 所以每人需要擔遮行過呢段路, 成世人都係第一次遇著咁落魄嘅情形, 勁搞笑..

07.10.2007 | 曼谷符碌(8) 行街洗錢

好喇, 嚟咗咁耐, 玩又玩過食又食過喇, 都應該輪到另一高潮節目—shopping是也!! 發覺其實曼谷都真係好多好多商場, 而且集中於某些地區, 所以一站式嚟到Ratchaprasong區(BTS Siam或Chit Lom站)一日其實都唔夠時間行晒全部商場.. 呢度主要商場有聞名遐邇嘅高級Siam Paragon同Gaysorn, 中級Central World同Chit Lom Central, 普級MBK.. 在下用咗足足一日時間走馬看花式地總算概括呢幾見主要商場, 好攰!! 就睇外觀, Siam Paragon同埋佢出邊個噴水廣場, 好有氣派.. 論interior就非Central World莫屬喇, 好潮好時尚..
因為現金有限, 而且又唔想郁動到信用卡, 所以今次都係就住就住落手.. 主攻啲未見過或者喺吉隆坡揾唔到嘅牌子.. 啲嘢其實都唔係平, 為大家展示在下寥寥無幾嘅戰利品, 堅信下一次曼谷之旅應該會更上一層樓..
