For nice and beautiful places, everyone wants a part of it so many people loh. What to do. What you want, everyone also wants.
ReplyDeleteThis word is so precise! Everyone wants a part of it....!
DeleteThe worst places with unruly crowds are in many places in China where I have been pushed like a doll. Once I was at the most dangerous Mount Hua in Xian, when someone smack and pushed me while I was posing for my wife's camera. I was shocked and speechless as I was not blocking that stupid fella.
Call me jakun, but what is "the angry face" feature? I only know the current thingy is the "stupid" thingy with "Mr. N kor" face symbol..
ReplyDeleteWah, lei hou geng! I click A,B, then I click E.. I was so surprised and thrilled, and then I click on the photo in A.. Wah, really got different thing wor..
DeleteYou are so right about yourself.. When I was clicking A,B, I was thinking, eh, this SK, post so simple, and macam nothing to do with the title.. Mana ada angry face feature? All also "I love you" happy face lei geh.. Hahahahaha..
DeleteI click all the pictures, and I agree with everything.. Just like life, "you see people good, people see you good".. You see people drive "Ben-See", wife take branded bags, maybe for all you know, the guy in huge debts, and business not doing well.. Or you see people drive big car, live in big house, but the son having long-term sickness like leukemia, we won't know..
DeleteI agree with you Princess! I always have these thoughts when I went overseas. I would sit down at the airport lounge or cafes on the streets and watch the many foreigners walking by. They smiled, laughed, screamed or walked quietly on their own. I told myself that the whole world of illusions were playing right in front of my eyes. Everyone of us have problems and even sickness that we do not share or show them. Nothing is real. What we see daily is just illusions where nothing is permanent in this life.
DeleteDidn't realise the Angry Face, feature, i only know the like, love, haha, wow, sad, angry...
ReplyDeleteI only know the new emo icons last Friday at Facelook. Kinda cute to me. But well, good to have all this new emo icons while we wanted to click the "LIKE" at least some people can express deeper towards what people sharing nowadays. If there are only "LIKE" and "DISLIKES" I'm sure will have some conflicts. You will know what I meant here.
ReplyDeleteEh, how come your click and click there's an angry face come out jor? So cute. If Facelook can do it (emo icons), so do you lor SK. Nah, SK you don't have to build in your blog space here. You already have more than enough. You've gotten it earlier mar: Rate this post; also got LOVE, LIKE, DISLIKE AND HATE.
DeleteHmm, are you aiming for another holiday or getaway? But that will be the reality of those nice places after conquering by so many visitors. Great to share this one too.
Great Wall of China - Heard many of it. Even read from books also know that is one of the 7 wonders in the world. When I was small, I know this Great Wall of China from David Copperfield. I watched a lot of TV when I was young. David Copperfield really walked through the wall. How good is his magic tricks or effects, please search from Youtube I think still available for watching if someone has uploaded/posted it. My grandma manage to be at the Great Wall many many years back. That was the time my grandparents “balik kampung” to China. They actually went back to my grandpa’s hometown twice. My grandma said is not easy to walk this Great Wall. Very far and there are many parts/wings to walk. It maybe take many days or weeks. But there they have a stop by a place for all the visitors to buy souvenirs and great spot for photo taking. Many steps to go through also… not easy. If you want to see nice view like the photo you got it from, then should be walk more far apart from that tourist spot, because no one is willing to walk that far apart. If you have chance to go there, maybe just go there and take a photo of your signature post will do. At least you have been there. Muahaha….
DeleteKolkata Howrah Bridge of India – The sunset look so tranquil and peaceful. Hahaha…click with the angry icon, Alamak – rubbish thrown everywhere. No wonder you said” What you see may not be what you get!!”. This is so true. Once a country is promoting their country always look and see for the better side. They are parts that didn’t really cover. Saw kids lagi “mandi-manda” beside the sea side. Could be those of them, who are homeless, try to take their bath for free and some collecting rubbish for earning. Pity lar them. Or this photo taken was like after the tsunami?? I’ve never been to India too. I have no idea how it is the country looks like. Heard more about India when MIL’s friend went there for a family vacations and also one of my colleagues went there too. My colleague mentioned India is one of the amazing place to visit. She experienced 12 days in India, sightseeing their culture and living throughout the trip. She brought back some Indian snacks for us. She said worth visiting. MIL’s friend pula mentioned that she and her family will not visit there again. They came back with bad experiences. hahaha. Well is it from everyone’s point of view. For me I wish to go what about you, SK?
Eiffel Tower in Paris – Lagi never been there before lor. The first photo was awesome, nice view for picnic. Hahaha, I felt funny with the photo I clicked in. How can it be flooded with so many people. To keep myself bluffing, so I must say SK you picked the photo whereby there’s any event is going on at the Eiffel Tower’s park is it? I saw people seated down like waiting for a parade to begin. Muahaha… Last time I saw York Mei’s photo also got a lot of people. I’m surely this place always flooded with many tourist form around the world. Me belum have chance to visit it yet too. Maybe won’t go too, too expensive lar. So Europe like Paris and Venice will be one of your travel list in 2016? Good for you SK.
Beautiful Beaches in Bangkok – Sigh… mana ada lagi since many of the islands in Bangkok already conquered by human beings. Friend said Pipi Island do not have so many people wor? True or not I also not sure. Heard people said that before. Hua Hin, Phuket, Krabi and the rest telah dijejaki oleh manusia “ganas”…hahaha. Click on the other side of the photo, also I wanted to LoL. All this beach places always want to get business – snorkeling lar, round island trip lar and many many more. Yes it is true, I can imagine the view when I was in Bali (which is in Indonesia)for vacation with my hubby. The driver brought us to visit one of the famous beach in Bali. So hubby said since we were here, why don’t we go have a look and see. We thought of taking a short tour around the island (I forgot what is the name) by boat, somehow the crowded make us feel “sien” – bored with the people. Ended we didn’t sign for any package for the short tour because I do not want to waste my time only waiting at the beach. Then, hubby request the driver to pick up us and indeed we had our lunch around that area. Nice food with chilled coconut water compared if I have to sweat and waited so long at the place. Hubby and I not disappointed because hubby and I not a beach person too.
DeleteSantorini Island, Greece – I seen many of Facelook’s friend share nice photos about this place. I can remember the photo you posted here. But somehow never realize it will the next photo scene you’ve shown to us here! ALAMAK?... So nothing is tranquility anymore! Aduh!
So at the end of day, where you plan to go SK?
DeleteHey, I was puzzled by this quote of beaches in Bangkok. As far as I could remember they never had any good beaches unless we traveled out 1 or 2 hours to places like Hua Hin, Pattaya or Koh Samet. Those beaches around Bangkok are so dirty with murky waters from their many canals and some places around Samutprakan have become salt mines since hundred years ago.
DeleteShame on me, I have never visited Hua Hin or Pattaya.
Yah, I baru noticed the additional emoticons on FB. Actually with this extra feature like giving us more work pulak, right? But it is good also because if someone post a sad news, "Like" may not be the right response. At least now we can click "sad" reaction.
ReplyDeleteThis morning when I checked this post and read your last remark, I didn't quite get it. It was too early in the morning I guess and my brain wasn't full on.
DeleteA : The Great Wall looked so majestic and it's so quiet and peaceful.
DeleteA : Sekali click one more time, alamak! When you are touring and if peak season, everybody is there lah. It's so congested and I see the guy in red's face I wanna laugh. Gosh! I hope not to get caught like that when I go and see the Great Wall!
DeleteB : The color of the sunset is spectacular! Looks so tranquil in low light.
DeleteB : But the reality in daylight is astounding! So much rubbish and yet, taken at sunset and blocking out the undesirable parts, we are fooled!
DeleteC : I like this picture. Will sure click Love. I mean, look at the green grass and the color contrast. So romantic and refreshing.
DeleteC : Oh no! The crowds again hah..hah... Tak mau! Better go off elsewhere :D
DeleteD : This kind of photo sure evokes feelings of romance lah. Honeymoon destination? Better click again before deciding hah..hah...
DeleteD : The scenery is still gorgeous but how to be romantic when it is so crowded with people? No place to take selfie also hah..hah...
DeleteE : Wah...this one I find the most beautiful among all the pictures.
DeleteE : hah..hah...with all those people, I will sure become so grumpy and grouchy. Where got beautiful that place?
DeleteThat's why we should not be too taken by the photos we see in brochures or posters. Photographs, lighting and angles make a world of difference.
DeleteOh well, I have been in advertising line all my life and never believed the brochures much. I believe the written facts but not the pretty photos.
DeleteJust like the recent trip to Borobudur, I refused to join the private tours to watch the heavenly sunrise! The only private hotel there monopoly the tour with hefty price and stay at their hotel to be able to watch sunrise. Many people were disappointed that many mornings were cloudy and could not see the anticipated beautiful sunrise. They wasted their money to see the dark clouds instead!
I think it is all about the timing and/or the actual spot you go to. Eg the Great Wall, they actually have a few different entry spots, if you go to the less popular one maybe you won't be suffocated by people. Also maybe people go early in the morning or late at night to avoid crowds (although you can say such inhumane hours render the word "holiday" pointless lah) :| ...
ReplyDeleteI agree that we should be wise to enter the right entry points of the Great Wall besides selecting the good hours! The Great Wall is too long and stretched over 21,000km with no lesser than 50 entry points, at least! I think late evenings, near the closing time has the least crowd as people tend to flock there in the mornings for the first sip!
Deleteyea, I tink some of them were taken during the holiday peak season, perhaps go on low-season, then it wouldn't be as bad.
ReplyDeleteThat is correct that low season means lesser people and everything would be cheaper like flights, hotels and even entrance fees would be halved!
DeleteSo where are you planning to go this year? So far I do not have any plans though I love to go UK and US again and again.. just wait for timing... :)
ReplyDeleteWhat is stopping Claire? You just need to open your mouth and your wishes always came true! Lucky mama!
DeleteHAHAHA
ReplyDeleteWhat a great twist!
I likey!
It's true. You may not get what you see. Love the view of the great Wall of China. When you get there, you wouldn't want to climb it all. I just walked some distance and I gave up.
ReplyDeleteIt was always my dream to walk across the whole Great Wall of China. Their lengths is only 21,000km and sounds not too long but the conditions of the paths and flooring is the big questions. I am sure you have seen the huge steps and that was scary. Even long legs like mine would be torn apart after 1 km walk. Wakakakaka
DeletePicnic near the Eiffel tower sounds so romantic. But when I was there, everyone was all over the place! You would rather have picnics elsewhere.
ReplyDeleteWhen I visited Krabi Beach in Dec 2013, the beach was also very crowded with people and tourists from everywhere
ReplyDeleteWhen I visited Phuket by cruise last year, the ship also berthed near Krabi for us to get down onto small boats as the port at Krabi is too shallow for huge ships. I was so excited to see the beach so empty!!
DeleteWhy empty??? It was raining lah. Muahahahaha
Yaya, I saw the new features in FB but have yet to try out....
ReplyDeleteGreat Wall of China, an interesting and famous place for everyone... Never been there anyway... Erm don't think I have the energy to conquer the whole place also, too old for this.. :p
That bridge in India.... Looks very common.. Macam other countries also have, erm may be because of the design, macam saw it in movies..
Picnic near the Eiffel Tower is something I wanna do! Can imagine how fun and nice it is! Of course must be a nice weather la, takkan picnic during winter la right? LOL! :p
Speaking of the tower, very miss it la! Don't know when can go again :(
Beaches in Thailand... I think I have never been to one ler, though I have been to Thailand several times, but mostly is for shopping only...
Santorini!! Its in my wish list ler!! Love this beautiful place! So romantic don't you think?
Picture A
ReplyDeleteYeah, Facebook has released those reaction figures and I also tried it. I guess it's been long delay as similar apps like Wechat also has it long ago. Anyway, it's nice to have it but it can irritating to the comments thread if many people used it. Imagine all the icons moving around.... hahahaha
woah... Great Wall of China! And that's an awesome picture that your friend took! I guess it's either early of the morning during sunrise or evening at dawn.
You know what, after my China trip, I hope to go to Beijing and visit/walk at the Great Wall.
hahahha..I was talking to a taxi uncle just now where his wife is from China. He asked me to avoid China during their holidays in August, as it will be super crowded. He went to Shanghai's pearl tower and it was so many people around.
DeleteSo, I guess the Great Wall will be like that too la... hahaha... Let's go during Dec then and enjoy the minus degree!
I think this taxi uncle is not a regular visitor to China even though he has a China wife. He should know that the most scary and dreadful months are their Golden Weeks!!! We have seen on TV and newspapers how the cars would jam the streets besides the train & airports would be swarmed by millions of humanoids. I would shudder to think of them again. I made a mistake to visit Shanghai during the Golden Week but my wise planning saved my ass.
DeletePicture B
ReplyDeleteOh...your friends are really well traveled. I don't think I will go to India due to the food and different culture. Don't get me wrong, I got lots of Indian friends but I don't foresee myself going there...LOL
However, I am sure India has lots of beautiful places to see. That was a magnificent bridge, so is it at Kolkatta? Awesome!!
So, the slumdog millionaire thingy surface here! That's also the reason I don't go India la, it's so dirty and polluted... or maybe the photo is just a fake...LOL.
DeleteWhat a disgrace to the beautiful bridge after sunset but this is true also in some rivers in MY too. At night, cannot see the garbages but in the daylight, all sorts of sampah floating here and there.
I am also like you. I don't think I would visit India for now although I love all types of Indian food. I have long wanted to visit Taj Mahal and Jaipur but after seeing the mammoth crowd at Taj Mahal, I better think twice! They also need to clean up their wastes and improve the hygiene issues.
DeletePicture C
ReplyDeleteOh..I love this pic. It tells a lot of stories! And, in my opinion, these type of pics will win award. Why? Cos this picture reveals a lot till it's long to write it down.
First, there's the Eiffel Tower of Paris which is the centre of attraction for all folks in the summer. A lovey dovey couple enjoying a sweet picnic there while admiring the tower as well as 'pak tor' there. They look so relaxed as though as nothing will troubles them as just live in the moment.
The picture also show the joyfulness of the folks around... basking in the summer sun around an iconic figure... I can go on and on... Thumbs up!!
At least the folks are admiring the tower ...hahahaha... though crowded. Still can picnic but needed to keep everything in the basket as there are no places for them to lay their cloth. hahahaha... Oh mine.. I rather run away from the crowd!~
DeleteI have always been fascinated by this Eifel Tower since I was a kid. Those days, we never hear other towers in other parts of the world. We didn;t hear of Petronas Twin Tower, Tokyo Sky Tree, Burj Dubai or Pudong Towers yet. The world today has too many tiangs, towers and tallest buildings to kiss the skies. Do we really need them so high when most of them do not get fullest tenancy occupants.
DeleteNow the design of Eifel Tower looks dated although it has longer history.
Picture D
ReplyDeletePicture D set a romantic tone to the picture. Oh well, I guess we are admiring pictures in the post, now only I noticed! muahahahaahaha... Coming back to the picture, it's really taken at a nice ambience and settings. Couple kissing under the sunset and it's getting dark with the beautiful hills at the backdrop.
I wonder how your friend managed to catch this shot or the couple just wayang there for him to snap ? hahahha
hahahahaha... true true. What kissing on a romantic beach in a sunset setting! Maybe this happened in the past where tourism is not so commercialised or the places of interest not so commercialised.
DeleteI am sure the motorboats will take away whatever clean beaches remains there. Reminded me of Phuket Patong beach. The angmohs are sun-bathing there while there are all sorts of business going on , from motorboats, massage in makeshift tents, hawkers and etc. Sigh....
Muahahahah! You believed that SK's friend snapped the couple kissing in the photo. So gullible kurage dei. I think his friend took the photo from website links given to us. That shot was so professionally and well taken with the right sun setting background.
DeleteThe Patong Beach in Phuket is really a lovely place to stroll and enjoy the scenic beach and its breeze while sipping chilled pina colada and watch kawai gals in bikinis. I am sure your hamsap eyes will roll and mouth dropped down.
Picture E
ReplyDeleteSantorini Island in Greece is one place which every ladies would like to go with their men. It's full of romance, beautiful old buildings, nice beaches and a place where you can romance your girl all the time. hahahha
The view where the picture is taken was well composed! The focus is on the buildings which lighted up beautifully during sunset with a breathtaking view of the beautiful Mediteranean Sea and mountains in the backdrop.
So , all my plans to romance a lady in Santorini Island are gone with these folks cramping the pathway to the top.... Sigh.... Better, stay in the hotel room. And, forget about taking pics too as I saw a lot of fat asses around, hogging the road.
DeleteYour mouth is so sweet and you can romance the girl there at sunset. How come your geography stated the can view the beautiful Mediterranean Sea? I thought Greece is a 2 main land country with thousands of islands and surrounded by the Aegean and Ionian seas.
DeleteI would love to go there!!!
Picture F
ReplyDeleteOk man ... actually I was wondering what the hell this SK was doing with this post by publishing all the beautiful pics around. And I got fool again...muahahhahhaha... ok la, it's midnight! Now I need to go back to Picture A - E, just like a For...then loop in programming....!
Btw, nice theme for this month, very clean and professional. Your banner looks good!
ReplyDeleteI was like what? I clicked A, B, C all again and nothing happened also? And then I clicked on the pictures themselves and oh my... expectation vs reality. I have been to Great Wall and Eiffel Tower and am glad to say there wasn't that much crowd in Great Wall of China. We can still manage to take a nice picture without others photo bombing us. Eiffel Tower is a little bit tough though. People here people there.
ReplyDeletehmm...so fast March 2016
ReplyDeleteGood afternoon sk.
ReplyDeletenew header again this month. Aisey why the pokkadot punya leh. LOL...would have thought you follow Facebook by putting on those emoji on you header ma. AFter all this round the emoji get very hottttt...muhahahaha...so many angry face flying here and there wor. more syok than looking at the stock market leh. Template and the header fill it up with emoji la.
Woi...berapa ribu thanousand MB each photo leh...my chrome pusing pusing so darn hard to load lah.... the emoji attached made the photo so heavy and susah to load ka?
Photo A
DeleteBitten by the travel bug? kena poison by friend's travel photo in Facebook. Hmm..i can guess one of them is who already muhahaha.... now someone having popsicle in Japan lor. Betul tak. But how come photo A is the Great Wall of China punya ? Not Japan ka?
Wei... you haven't been to the Great Wall of China Ka? I thought when you were working in Hong Kong you and your friends got curi ayam go to china? Ahem...sorry ya...my geography enam pening punya so tarak tau whether Great Wall of China is near Hong Kong or not.
Anyway, it is good for you to go now la. You are still young, can walk and climb a lot. Don;t wait till old and need wheel chair baru wanna go travel lo. Later who is going to push your wheel chair or wanna hold your tongkat leh.
I don't know true or not but heard that the Great Wall of China now very "commercialise" Everything also money talk first. But you and your friends who loves to travel sure will be able to bring your readers to some unexpected corner of the Great wall of China punya la. You and anay also dua kali lima type of person
Photo B
DeleteThe Sunset at Kolkata-Howrah bridge of India? Wah lau eh...itu tempat you also can find ah?I really have not heard of this place before leh hahaha. If you have not mentioned india, i would have thought it is somewhere in the west .
where the heck you get the photos leh. I click at the link cannot load. From the title of the article in the link it sound very interesting leh The difference between travel expectation and travel reality. I think there might be a great difference leh
From the photo here the sunset and the bridge may look very romantic and beautiful . But when go near and under the direct sun, we might see the place full of sampah sarap and the water in the river muddy and sinky...well...at least it is applicable over here
hahaha finally loaded. Oh my kucing...oh my great wall of china. I think if you really go there have to use photoscape and erase erase erase till pants also drop lor. Hahaha....will not be able to get the photo as shown in photo A
alamak...photo B really kasi me guessed correctly. Wah lau eh...still have people go swimming in that river ka? I think i would cabut lari jauh jauh first. Can imagine the shards of broken glass there.
Anyway, all these photos have to have an artistic eye baru can managed to snap nice ones la
Photo C
DeleteHaving a romantic picnic near the Eiffel Tower. I still can't imagine what is so romantic about the eiffel Tower leh. Why so many people wanna go there.
It's the tallest man made structure but we have KLCC also mah.
So when are you planning to go there leh? soon? Or wait till ringgit malaysia become stronger baru go? Hmm by the time you go there i think your french is passable gua. of course hard for them to understand our loghat la . same like when foreigners tried to speak Bahasa malaysia. We also find it hard to understand but at least when you go there uses their language instead of english , they will not look down at you gua.
But i heard from claire that the queue to go up the tower is very long wor. She kira unlucky and yet lucky last year coz of her foot injury she gets to use the disable person lane. so no need to wait long.
Let me guess, you probably will not go up to eiffel tower to look see and dine gua. Maybe just snap photos from the bottom of the tower or some place a bit further just like what you did in Japan? After all...go up see the scenery also more or less the same what you can see from photos. Stay at the foot of eiffel tower and picnic better la. maybe go there early and get a nice spot for picnic. can eat strawberries and berries there and also makes us envy like nobody's business. Then again...the other photo in the link...hopefully it is the weekend crowd only gua. normal days not like this gua. See movies like very clear only wor. unless they cleared the road for making the movie la
Photo D
DeletePhewit....Spending some private moments on the beaches of Thailand....naked beach or what ah? LOL. Planning to bring Kamala go there for second honeymoon ka? I don't see any palm trees there wor. How to bollywood there ah? I know anay bollywood with letchumi in Borobudur la. got photos to prove it some more leh.
Wokay la beach in Thailand. Nobody will tangkap one of ahem ahem...kiss a bit . Not like here have to wrap up all. Hey...even india not safe leh. They also tangkap if got "private moment".
Haiya but the beach there will usually be full of tourist. how to have private moment leh. The beach there reminds me of Jimbaran in Bali. Beach dominated by tourist and also the restaurant there very pandai. sell seafood there so that customers can sit have their dinner and enjoy the sunset.
So bila going there leh or maybe you have already been there during your business trip to Thailand last year.
Heard the sea water very clear wor. low tide you can even walk across to the boulder opposite there.
Hmm not sure why but am not very keen n sea. Maybe the sea breeze have salty water. feels uncomfortable. When feel uncomfortable very hard to have private moments la hahaha.
Photo E
DeleteFeeling the tranquility and exploring the placid colours of Santorini Island, Greece? Hmmm.... darn it...this is not travel bugs that is biting you leh. Feels to me is that Cupid arrow had struck you leh. all the places you mention from B to E very romantic type leh. Places that couple tengah pak tor will wanna go. Hahaha Not Photo A la. Photo A more like married couple or single travellers would wanna venture there
Ahem ahem....kamala oh kamala...I wonder where kamala keen to go. So many choices.
fromt the link the Santorini Island like not very tranquil leh. so many people there. If wanna makan there surely will have to book the restaurants few months early kot?
For me i think i will not go there coz it feels sad to me. It's the remains from volcanic eruption. Many must have perished there. Just imagine all the restless souls there.
But then with you sensitive eyes maybe you will spot beauty everywhere la. Maybe you will explore the remains of the buildings there and see the art work...hey! wait a minute...i think am in the wrong blogl. That is what Anay would do.
For you, i would imagine you will have a good walkaround the island and work out an appetite. Then go and sample all the delicious local cuisine like Brantada, Koskosela, Santorinio Sfougato, Melitinia and the wine there. Heard the wine there is very good as the grapes were planted on volcanic soil with give it a distinctive taste. Shall i hint hint and wiknk wink for you to bring home a bottle or two for your readers here? *Evil laugh*. Then I imgine you will come back and try your hand cooking all those delicious dishes and desert for your office mates to try. Yum yum . They are so lucky.
Photo F
DeleteWahahaha...wei ada wait a minute punya ka? What you see may not be what you get? I click all over the pic again nothing happened leh. Programming error or what ah?
Anyway, i suspected what you wanna show la. i saw the link also...Uiks mana pigi Photo F? Arghh got bloggers hantu ka or am i in this blog too long like till i start to imagine things?
Anyway...i noticed the places you chosen to be bitten by the travel bugs are all warm whether place. Hmm....tarak feel like going for camping in the himalaya ka or maybe have dinner up mount everest.
You are quite adventurous. I saw in FB before there is a Glass "road/ledge" in China. Have you every give a thought of going for a walk there? Me definitely not coz am scared of height.
ANyway... have a great day. Time for me to get ready liao. I go for arm chair travelling only la
wokay wokay...got it liao. laugh die me with the sweat photos. Same as I have suspected. Oh well...after looking at THIS set of photos, you you still feels like going travelling or have you put Tiger Balm on the place where the travel bug have bitten you? As i have said earlier...for me most likely will be foe arm chair travelling la.
DeleteI think China , especially the tourism spots are very commercial now. Can't help it la, they also wanted to make a living as so many tourists flock over all over the world. Even there are hawkers and souvenir peddlers selling stuffs at the entrance and most of the folks are eager to looks at it , though they know it's mark up.
DeleteEven the china town in Singapore also commercialised too! Thanks to the tourism! These places nowadays are mostly visited by tourists.
Errr... I think the best time to travel is during non peak season, if you can have the opportunity. For us with families that's definitely difficult. Having said that , do note that other countries holidays fall on other months, like China , their holidays are around July to August. These are the times to avoid else it will be like the crowded Great Wall scenario ...
DeleteTraveling during non peak also good, cheaper and less crowded !
Facebook has new feature eh! What new feature? How to use the new feature? Please enlighten me, can?
ReplyDeletePicture A: I didn’t expect to see the actual scene of Great Wall before clicking at the very majestic and beautiful Great Wall of China picture. It is so crowded and I can imagine that. Muahahaha! All famous tourist spots are crowded, it is so impossible to take a picture without anyone in the background. So many people until the selfie stick will poke at people behind us, Muahahahah!
DeletePicture B: Kolkata-Howrah Bridge of India, this is even worse than Great Wall of China. The day view is so dirty, oh my god! The evening view is so serene and lovely. I can’t accept the actual scenery at all.
DeletePicture C: Wow! Picnic below Eiffel Tower in Paris, France is every woman’s dream, ok? It is a place of dream and love. But after looking the closer shot of picnic below Eiffel Tower, might as well I picnic under the palm tree at Taiping Lake Garden. Lagi shiok and romantic, SK! No believe, you make a trip to Taiping yourself. I will plan you a picnic.
DeletePicture D: At first glance, I thought it was Hayley and her hubby kissing at the beach of Thailand. Hehehehe! The evening view is really awesome and romantic, the day view is a bit packed, but still acceptable. It is still very hard to have private moment at the beach anyhow. Private moment can only be found in the hotel room dei!
DeletePicture E: Santorini Island of Greece is indeed very unique and beautiful. After viewing the first batch of all pictures, I wanted to tell you to go to Greece. After clicking at the picture, it reminded me of the long queue in Disneyland Tokyo, just to take a single picture with Mickey. I am scared to see such heavy crowd.
DeleteI really enjoy looking at these post-sharing post before pictures. So funny!
DeleteHave you decided on your next trip?
Are you going to tell us where you want to go this time?
I really there is such software, which can allow to erase those dynamic objects at the background and leave only those static objects. In fact it is very difficult to catch a good picture at famous attraction spots.
DeleteWhen we want to a good picture, those moving human behind is kind of spoiling the whole feel of the picture. But it is so unavoidable.
Delete哈哈,第一張真喺笑到我碌地; 有創意。
ReplyDeleteThese are really interesting places you can include on your bucket list! If I only have that overwhelmin wealth, I will definitely explore these fascinating places .. of all the places listed here, I really want to step my foot at the great wall of china!
ReplyDeleteSo is the preview that you're going to travel soon? Hahaha, got a feeling of that.
ReplyDeleteI wondered why Facebook doesn't have the dislike one ya? I guess is pretty fun to have the dislike one, then everything will be dislike here and there, like youtube, I always like to see how much like and dislike, see my expectation is that same as the results.
Picture A I hardly say I like to travel in China, but I do like to visit the Great Wall, even though I've been there when I was young, but due to it's amazing layout, I guess nobody do not wish to see that, but if you say you lazy to climb that's another case la. I also like to see but lazy to climb and difficult to climb also, as it has been there for years, most of the stair step aren't look like stairs anymore and most of there are not so balance, some of the stair gap are even very small or very big.
DeletePicture B Hmmm, the bridge looks very beautiful and attractive, but it's in India. One of the place I wish to visit last time was India, but not now after the few dangerous cases happened in India, I know many people had went there alone, but maybe can say I scared to die so not dare to go.
DeletePicture C This's my dream place to visit last time and also now, and it's never gonna to change. I went to Paris last year, but didn't get the chances to visit Eiffel Tower, which is too bad my friend only allow me to visit a place there're the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Eiffel Tower, both are my favorite, so in the end we chose the church. Too bad, due to lack of time we can't two places.
ReplyDeleteIndeed the Eiffel Tower is very attractive like you can't stay your eyes away from it. Even though Paris is famous of pickpocket but still many people wish to go there, mostly I guess the Eiffel is part of the reason too that makes people wanted to go there so badly.
Picture D Hmm, this one too sweet la...I always go travel alone, this sweet sweet thing not my cup of tea. Especially seaside, I will always try to avoid that, I rather go see buildings than beach. But it could be other story if I'm going with someone beloved, hahaha...any beach also can be Maldives.
ReplyDeletePicture E This's also my dream place to visit, at first I thought this place only for couple or for newbies honeymoon, but later on I found that actually is not bad to go alone also. Hmm....still deciding when to go, because the white building and blue roof really caught my attention very much, this must miss in Europe.
ReplyDelete现实是残酷的,接受吧!
ReplyDeleteI love your blog postings always like this one. You would go great miles to search for the least blogged topics to share with all of us using your fabulous click buttons that we are not able to create them. You could get them done easily like eating kachang puteh. My SK Thambee is so pandai dei. Pat your karipap hair.
ReplyDeletePhoto A: I was shocked to see the nice empty Great Wall and when the clicked photo showed the crowded tourists walking on the Great Wall, Anay wanted to pengsan on the spot.
DeleteI went to China back in the year 2002 and walked on this less crowded Great Wall. I could guess that it was spring time from their dressings and fresh green colours of the trees & plants along this Great Wall. This is the best time for the tourists and local folks to visit all the big cities in China when the weather is pleasing with coolest temperature.
My tour guide took us to the favourite spot to climb onto the Great Wall in Beijing. He told us there was another very crowded one which I could not remember its name. Anyways, I had seen many parts of Great Walls that spanned across many cities, mountains and remote villages in China. They have different walls, bricks and stones being used to build them. The views from above these Great Walls are different and the best time to view would be at the late Autumn when all the trees and plants would be golden yellow, red and brown like a heavenly picture! I had seen these walls from Beijing passing Chengde until Tianjin. The other parts of this 21,000km wall was seen in Shaanxi when I visited Xian. They looked a bit different in their own majestic colours.
This Great Wall was built some 2,300 years ago and I would still feel so proud to be a Chinese which built this wall long before the Qin Dynasty. I guess many people are not aware that many walls were built by different warlords as their forts long before the Qin Dynasty but it was during the reign of Emperor Huang Ti who joined the walls together when he also united the China. It was during the Han Dynasty when it was extended to the West through Yumen pass. Finally, one Emperor during the Ming Dynasty rebuilt these broken walls. I heard that 1/3 of these long walls have been lost without trace as many looters removed the bricks and stones to build their own homes! When you talk China, Anay always gets excited to show off la. Better share what I remember here as I won't bring them to my graves.
Photo B - I didn;t know that this Kolkata Howrah bridge is so famous to be mentioned. Perhaps it was being photographed to show the drastic difference in actual situations. I wondered why the photographers captured the best shots to lure the tourists?? I would scream if I had gone to the bridge to see so many people all over swimming, bathing and washing their clothes. I might find SK Thambee jumping down into the river with his slumdog friends too. Muahahahaha
ReplyDeleteNow I start to think of the famous bridges that I have seen like Penang Bridge, Golden Gate in San Francisco, NYC's Brooklyn Bridge and London Bridge. There is no one running across or having a gala time picnics on them. That's due to the strict police watchdogs patrolling the place with added surveillance CTV cameras to prevent suicides. That means the police and authorities at the Koolkata Howrah Bridge are least bothered and anyone is free to sleep, rot or even jump down to commit suicide!
Photo C - I have never been to Paris and not even seen the real Eifel Towel with my own eyes. I am dying to visit there when I strike my jackpot lottery la.
ReplyDeleteI am quite shocked to see the great amount of tourists hanging around there. Just like the ancient ruins of Borobudur, I thought it was a serene and peaceful holy place but I was so wrong when I saw the hundreds of humanoids crawling like ants around the Mandala. Seeing is believing lah!
I wonder how they could clear the whole place around this Eifel tower whenever they made many movie films at this location. It would be costly to do so besides getting permits and hire guards to cordon off the spot. To every tourist, this Eifel Tower is the perfect scenery backdrop for their love and marriage remembrance!
Photo D - The best and most popular beaches in Thailand are all around the Phuket Island such as Phi Phi Islands, James Bond Island, Similan Islands, Coral Island, Racha Island, Phang Nga Bay, Koh Yao Island and Krabi. I think I have only been to 2 -3 islands as they looked almost the same to me. Usually the crowded places like your photo are at the beaches or bay areas only as many older tourists are not game to take speed boats that travel at hair raising speeds over choppy waters to the remote islands for scuba diving or water snorkeling activities. So they would sun tan by the beach umbrellas and sip coconut water. So everyone has to fight for space to take photos. That place in your photo looks like Phi Phi Island.
ReplyDeleteThere are still many unknown and unspoilt private beaches and islands around Thailand which have started getting global attention. They just need to build huts, cafes and jetty before advertising on Thai websites to attract the locals who would scramble to visit there for a dive before posting them on Facebook. Within months, the new place would be popular when their photos of exotic beaches went viral.
Photo E - If I were to have only one place to visit in Europe in my whole lifetime, I would definitely choose this Santorini Island of Greece!!! I am not kidding lah as it is very relaxing with nice food and places to stroll besides spending hours at their exotic beaches! I have added this place Santorini Island in my bucket list since many years ago. Another good choice would be Barcelona in Spain which our Lucky Thambee has visited. So between Barcelona and Santorini Island, I would prefer Greece as I love to eat Greek food very much. Their ancient histories of those Greek Gods and Goddesses are also interesting.
ReplyDeleteWell, this place ranks the top 5 in popularity for Summer holidays in Europe, so the huge crowd is expected annually. Now with the plunging economy and currency in Greece, more people are flocking there to take advantage. However, we must never hope to change our currencies there or even withdraw from their banks at the moment as everything seems chaotic.
That's such a nice picture :)
