M.I.T.O: Meals In The Office (Part 1 of 2)
Meals in the office - Grilled cheese sandwich and vegetables salad

lately I have been staying in office to get my lunch settled.. that's because (1) I'm getting bored with the eateries around, (2) things are getting unreasonably expensive sometimes.. of course, you can't expect (me) to cook things like Char Koay Teow and Sizzling Yee Mee in the office, and you know I am a dumb in cooking, hence what I usually have are simple things like salads, sandwiches or even just oats.. for example, the grilled cheese and tomato sandwich with garden salad you see above, but pardon me for the cheapo freebies cup and plate i used, hehe!! anyway, with all these cold and bland food, I am sure one would occasionally like to have something savory and hot, agree??

    2. I enjoyed eating in at times, cos you can enjoy the air con and can finish the food faster so you can more rest time, if go out to eat, sure have to wait for seats, queue for food and one hour of lunch time will be gone in a while

And oh my dear I tell you, damn crowded dou… We went at 9am, to shop for groceries in Aeon Big first, then by the time we finished, ngam ngam hou.. 10am.. We went up to the concourse and dear, I tell you, the crowd…. It’s really very hard to manage two active toddlers, running around, trying to hug the Minions, and there were many other family who were waiting for their turn to take family pictures, and suddenly, my boy was running in front of them, they had to stop and wait again, oh dear, paiseh, and tiring.. After 10 minutes, we left..

I eat what come out what, better don’t waste money eat expensive stuffs.. Really, I go café also, choose the cheapest food, coz after that, sure “come out” , may as well eat cheap food lor.. If me, maybe I’d save the cheese.. I’d just stick to maybe scrambled eggs and tomatoes toast.. Cheese mahal ma, hehehehehe..

    3. Ok, your bihun soup looks very good also.. It’s possible to do it, like I said, you just need a microwave or rice cooker, then anything also can cook inside.. Just bring some leftover ABC soup, bihun, fishballs, chuck everything into a bowl into the microwave..

      Delete
    4. Talking about bihun soup, I remembered many years ago, when I was still staying with my mum, she used to buy very nice instant bihun soup.. The brand is called Tung-I, or something like that.. Very nice the bihun, but now, can't find already..

    5. Uikks, two types of food only? No more jor la?

Sometimes I do feel wasting time to go out eat also but need to social a bit mah, then can ba gua here and ba gua there, if sit at the front desk then won't know what happened outside. So I'm a very kiah su type must go ba gua. But if no one at the office and I've to eat alone, I will be very happy to do so, and hoping for it everyday, hahaha...

    1. hehe, no need to learn lah, just get the stuffs and thrown everything into the microwave only, muahahaha!! and true also lah, sometimes need to go out with colleagues for lunch to social one.. but maybe one day you can suggest everyone to cook and makan in the office together mah.. hor?? :)

    3. even if have microwave..in a big office there will be problem also la. My old office like that also,

Hahaha...ya sometimes nice also go out kaypoh kaypoh with colleague. Also if stay in the office always then the boss see your face sometimes boss will call ask to do this and that. like they tarak tau it is your lunch break. That is why when i was in last office i preferred to go out jalan jalan instead of staying in office. boss likes to kacau. but if small office and boss are one of the mate instead ..then can cook in the office la. my first job was like that. we even cooked sweet dessert at the office. so nice,

  7. First picture, your garden salad and toast sandwiches look very presentable and good. Your mihun soup a bit plain but very healthy. Good that you prepare your own lunch in the office. My company has microwave also, but I seldom make use of it, because I am too lazy. If I am bored with the food in the cafetaria, i will just buy bread and bun from the canteen. Then I have bread and bun with a cup of 3 in 1 coffee.

    ReplyDelete

    1. The only food I bring to office that I prepare myself is overnight oats. The rest of food I will just buy from the canteen. So nice that you have found a nice colleague who always help you to prepare your lunch. Then you guys can eat together.

    2. Yannie is a very cincai person, if I have really got nothing to eat. I will eat cream crackers with a cup of coffee or milo. That's all my lunch in the office.

      Delete
    3. because we all sien with the food around the office already.. somemore save time to just prepare something in the office, then 清清地 for a temporary change also not a bad idea lah.. yeah the beehoon soup is very plain, just anchovies and kelp and mushroom for the soup, no other things, very 齋 one, haha!! and Yannie always have bread and crackers with 3-in-1 ah.. actually if you want to drink coffee, don't go 3-in-1 lah, those are very sweet, buy your own coffee powder and brown sugar and milk better leh..

      Delete
    4. But SK, you ate so light for lunch, would you go hungry after 2 hours? If you hungry what would you take before you left office for home?

Usually Yannie would take a cup of beverage again at 3pm.

      Delete
    5. Yannie like a worm in my stomach!! muahaha, she knows i will be hungry.. i have overnight oats or fruits for afternoon tea if i am hungry.. or if i don't want to eat, i'll make myself very busy and forget to eat :p

      Delete
    6. Sure I know SK will go hungry after 2 hours with only those food in the SK 's big stomach. Yannie too, goes hungry every day at 3pm.
SK so healthy only had fruits or oats as snacks in the afternoon. Yannie would munch biscuits or sweet potatoes.

SK can make himself very busy and forget to eat at all. If not busy, how to act busy, SK! Well, if Yannie is not busy, Yannie must go spamming SK0617 more and more often, so that Yannie will forget about food.

      Delete
    7. wei sk you dont suka suka go hungry like that al . later get gastric lagi susah leh the problem . if hungry must eat something la. at least the brainwill work leh instead of become zombie.

Initially you will feel okay la skip like that if hungry...but if long term...not good for our body leh

  8. Good afternoon, SK and all bloggers. Yannie typing this from Golden Sand Resort Cool Lounge. Cyber Corner. I am making use of their free internet. The girls are having at the adventure zone right now. I may go to the gym for working out later. Yannie is going to have 2 days buffet breakfasts and 2 buffet dinners during my 3D2N stay here.

After going back, Yannie must take garden salad and beehoon soup like SK every day.

Jin Jin some more said want to take me to buffet durian. Die la! All my effort to keep fit will be wasted in these few days.

    1. OMG! OMG!!!! You are in Penang!!!! The durian season has just started and I was drooling at my friend's FB posts. Now you are killing me with the word Penang Durians!!! Hope Yannie gets fat and fat with all the Penang's yummy food.

Worry not, come back to Taiping and eat SK's beehoon soup with vegetables. After cooking, throw away the beehoon and just drink the soup. Muahahaha

      Happy Holidays JAMY

      Delete
    2. wah, so happy JAMY on holidays!!! why Yannie still in the lounge?? i thought Yannie was at either the pool side or on the beach, laying on the suntan chair in her sexy bikinis and Gucci shades and Audrey Hephurn style big hat..

      Delete
    3. Long story, dear Anay and SK, I brought my very sexy bikinis, but then that bikinis is only sexy but not practical for a swimmer like me. So Yannie threw it away in the hotel bathroom dustbin. But then Yannie went to do running in the gym for 2 hours every time after heavy meal. I hope Yannie is still in good shape after returning to Taiping, otherwise Yannie has to drink beehoon soup without beehoon. Thanks for the great idea, Anay, you are so awesome.

      Delete
    4. muahahaha.. sexy but not practical?? meaning?? once put one and moved the body a little, the bikini pecah by itself?? hehehehe~~ :D

      Delete
    5. SK, you are right, the bikini pecah and showed all. I was so scared. Jin Jin reprimanded me to throw this bikini away. He said "Please, don't scare people away." When I went into the sea worse, my bikinis is so loose, and causing me to show all . Jin Jin scared I kena saman.
By the way, I just finish my very heavy buffet breakfast right now, and we are going to checkup to have buffet durian for lunch.

When i go back home, I must every day drink soup and have garden salad day and night only, SK. I can't afford to eat beehoon and sandwiches.

  9. No wonder you comment what you commented in my latest blog post! But ah... while the microwave is good enough to cook simple soup like this, I don't think you can easily cook ragu with it. I mean, it is possible lah, but... hahaha why don't you try it and amaze me? :D :D

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. hehehe.. now let me go and search in YouTube if there is any microwave versions of ragu.. i am sure there are some, and let me impress you soon, muahahaha!! :D

  10. Good that your office let you cook simple meals during lunch. Both cheese sandwiches, vege and hot meehoon soup sounds better than those oily and salty chapfan outside. Well done on your part. Putting in bonito flakes into your soup definitely give the soup more umami!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. yeah, i think with a microwave and a toaster oven, many things could be done huh?? but of course, at times i still miss the salty and oil chap fan though~~ :D

      Delete
  11. The first dish you showed was actually not that bad at all.. I prefer this kind of comfort food actually.. When I was working in an office.. I don't bring my own lunch either but would rather buy one in our company's canteen but if the meals for that day was not good, i have no choice but to stay with biscuits and cereal drink..

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. oh yeah, the easiest thing to make in the office must be salads and sandwiches, hahaha!! and i actually don't mind having them..

      Delete
  12. yup, even though eating cooked and well prepared meals is good it's not really ideal to cook in the office and one of the reason is how time consuming it would be unless your company will give you generous amount of break time.. in my old company we had 3 breaks, 2 15 minutes and 1 1hour lunch...

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. oh good to see that you and your colleague managed to pull it off and came up with your own cooked meal using the microwave hehe..
Yup, i think I would love this meal.. it's perfect especially now that it is no longer summer and the rainy season had just begun

      Delete
    2. the procedure was easy but in my case, the ingredients you have here is quite hard to find especially that kelps and bonito flakes

      Delete
    3. well, if we have to find food, we have to drive out to nearby eateries, so the time spent in travelling is about the same as preparing for the food in office.. but we practice flexible hours, so that's actually not a big issue..

hmmm, yeah.. with a microwave, there are many things we can do.. i think you can always replace one thing with another in cooking, just improvise and you will have surprises!! that's the fun of cooking~~ :)

      Delete
  13. hmmm... I do agree with you sometimes it's kinda boring going out to eat the same thing over and over again , especially if there was a canteen of foodcourt nearby your company.

Luckily I am not a choosy eater and most of the time, I will eat at the same few food courts around the vicinity of my company. Sometimes, I just grab a quick lunch regardless of the dishes left for those economic rice and most of the time, I just go for chicken rice or nasi briyani. Well, just want to fill the stomach and get back to the comfort of my office under the cool air-cond. quickly, and rest during lunch.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. i am also not a choosy eater, because there are only just a handful of eateries that we go and we eat the things in a repeating schedule, that's not choosy at all right?? but still can get bored also lah, hence makan in office for a change la..

      Delete
    2. Ya lor... for me, its kaya toast almost daily with kopi and alternate days for chicken rice or char siew rice. Other days will be economic rice. Wait for weekends to eat nice food but can pamper myself with a ramen once in a blue moon ...muahahahahaha...

      Delete
  14. aiyo..you serious you have that so-called garden salad and tomato sandwich? It looks more like kaya and butter sandwiches to me from the picture ...muahahahaa....
So, you can tahan the whole afternoon just with this? I am sure I will look for food half an hour later ...hahaha...

Aiyo.. I don't think I can have oats , salads or sandwiches for lunch. Maybe those sandwiches with a lot of ingredients like chicken ciabatta or subway type still allright as they are quite full. But not simple sandwiches which are more suitable for tea break or breakfast. Oats ?? That's either for supper or breakfast when one is not well... muahahha..

Anyway, that's a healthy meal provided if you feel full and can tahan till knock off time.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. of course i make more sophisticated and classier sandwich lah, kaya and butter?? hahaha, not in my list woh.. errr, cannot tahan long lah, afternoon tea can still snack on some oats or fruits one mah.. eat more meals but less portions :)

      Delete
    2. yeah yeah .... it works with more meals but smaller portions. Also give you the energy to work and less tendency to fall asleep. No wonder you don't need kopi!!

  15. For me, I think I needed to eat a lot and that explains I didn't lost a lot of weight despite all my almost daily workouts and runs. I needed to feel full else I can't work. Well, I almost had 5 meals a day - breakfast, lunch, tea , dinner and supper...muahahaha...though during weekdays, dinner and supper are together after my workout, but not on weekends.

  16. I must again compliment you for the efforts and creativity you put on your blog. The part 2 is such a good idea, click the button and another post came out. A very simple but effective idea in this '2 in 1' post. Kudos again to you.

And, I also realise we can preset th language now compare to the past where the irritating banner kept asking us our preference language...muaahahahah... Mostof the time, I just ignore it.

as for the language thing, of course irritating lah, since you did not bother to choose, then it will haunt you every time you load the page lor.. now that you have chosen your language, it will not bug you anymore, peace of mind, haha!! :D

    2. muahahaha... luckily I preset the language! Next , the chart toppers pop-up also kinda irritating though I love to see my handsome face there. How about like last time...create a post for it?

  17. The bee hoon looks good leh... I like this type of bee hoon. The simple flavouring like anchovies, 'tung choy' (not sure you got put or not, didn't see in the recipe), kelps, shiitake mushrooms, salt sure make it smell good! No seasoning ??

It's simple and healthy and there are vegetables too! And, most importantly, it's hot unlike your previous cold salad and sandwiches. hahaha.. But the bowl seems too small for me leh.... you should add more vermicelli to fill your stomach and maybe some fish balls and fish cakes... yummy!!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. hahahahaha, you fish cake lah!!! want to add so many things inside the beehoon, like that how to lose weight?? must eat less mah, and if you notice, this beehoon actually quite vegetarian one leh.. seasoning?? the salt is the seasoning lor, haha!! :p

      Delete
    2. aiyo.... just eat la... lose what weight. Furthermore, your bee hoon very light already.... Add sausages too!

  18. Well, did your colleagues asked you to make a bowl for them too ? Reason I ask is I am sure the smell will teased everybody tastebud and end up they will be curious to check out what you guys cooking ? :D

I remember in my previous company, there was this fat fella who love to eat and was a great cook. He likes to cook and always cook in the pantry using the microwave, which ...well, it really tease our tastebud. Even my big boss check out his cooking but he paisey when that fella offered the boss some of the cooking.

    1. hehehe, if we worked together in the pantry of course takkan lah aku saja yang ada makan, right??

    2. Ya la... unless someone ask you to make some for them... very hard to turn them down too if that fella not paisey. And when it comes to good food, most people not paisey especially those who love good food.

      Delete
  19. No..most of time, we will have something hot..hahaha... And, that's why we have to eat out for hot food. Of course, if we are at western eateries, then there will cold salad and sandwiches but then, the food they served also warm la.. like steaks and so on.

Try to eat more hot food instead of bland and cold food as that's not good for your digestion system. I am sure you feel better after some hot food especially on rainy days. Oh...that reminds me of fish head noodles... it's soupy and hot and slghtly spicy with ginger slices added. yummy!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. errr, i am totally okay with cold dishes one woh, no need to have hot dishes all the time leh.. i think it really depends on individuals, i even like my salt baked chicken eaten cold, cold as in just out of the fridge, not hot from the oven!! :D

      Delete
    2. I am different, I need something hot like ramen ...muahahahah.....

      Delete
  20. So, you are cooking in the office now? hahahha... Then, its time for you to experiment with different type of food and post it here. Soon, you may earn extra income but cooking for your colleagues... not a bad idea hor? Package the food nicely in a plastic container or banana leafs, with FF pix as logo and title SK's hot food! muahahaha...

  21. The last thing I will have is to eat instant noodles in cup form in office. It's simply not nutritious and also not filling.

Anyway, I am blessed with a lot of eateries around my office and there's one cafe in my building which serves a variety of western food. So, food usually not a problem with me though as I mentioned, I will go for a quick meal with a cup of kopi and buy some fruits too.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Everyone knows that cup noodles are the least healthy food but it can help to keep our stomachs full. If one cup noodle is not enough for you, then eat another 2 more cups!!! I always brought the curry falvour cup noodles to Japan and China because some days I would miss the local curry taste! So yum yum! I added bak kwa and meat floss inside when in overseas, for added Ooomph!

      Delete
    2. i do have a few packets of instant noodles in office.. i mean it's okay to have them once in a long while (i sometimes also feel like eating lah, hahaha).. but most of the time, this would be like some "emergency" thing..

      Delete
    3. hahaha.. somehow I find that eating cup noodles gave the impression to others that you are super busy and no time for lunch. In addition, there's cafe below my building and no need to brave the rain or hot sun. Just take a lift to the basement and the food is good though expensive. So, not many people in my office take cup noodles.

      Delete
  22. An alternative is you can also order McD or Pizza if you run out of ideas of what to cook or eat. Of course, you cannot have fast food everyday lah but once in a while is ok. Sometimes, I also ordered fast food when my colleagues are ordering where I tumpang them and settled a meal in office.

    1. Here many people would rely of FOOD PANDA delivery services which could bring you almost anything you desire to your home or office. Their services are very good. My wife used them regularly.

    3. SK - hahaha... I forgot about the minions which you just had a Happy meal and make you happy!

I dunno whethe there is food panda in SG, need to find out but I never see my colleagues ordering from food panda , which I think its only Msia.

  23. I hate driving out to eat though I don't have a car in SG and tumpang my colleagues's car. Some of my colleagues are very adventurous in food and they will search around for good food. I find that it took quite a lot of time and by the time we come back to office, I almost wanted to doze off, due to the travelling time as well as the hot weather.

I prefer to settle a quick lunch nearby, with some other colleagues.

    2. sometimes it can be quite tiring to drive out all the way just for lunch.. imagine, driving out and then having to queue and wait for food, then you have to quickly finish your lunch in 10 minutes and then rush back to office.. but luckily we have flexi-hours so this is not that a big issue..

    3. The traffic is definitely much better in SG though there are certain places needed to be avoided as they are prone to jams. But then, finding a parking in SG can be challenging too, regardless you are in malls or those HDB food courts.

TM - wow..let me know when you come to SG next time, ya ?

  24. In KL, with jams all over the place, I understand most of the folks hate to drive out too unless got an appointment. Its better to stay in office la or eat nearby. My bro in law always had subway for lunch as its just near his place ...hahaha..

    1. Yes KL might be jammed always but we have so many entertainment hubs and happening places scattered all over Klang Valley. So no problem to reach fine dining places within 5 minutes.

    2. we will just settle lunch in eateries nearby the office..driving out also won't be further than 10 minutes away..

    3. Yeah, I agreed with SK else by the time you come back with all the jams...I am sure your boss will be fuming mad... muahahaha...

I also prefer to eat nearby if I go out either tumpang others' cars or public transport.

    1. True what you say about eating out. I got bored with the chap fan and I found that it's not the most healthy thing to eat 5 days a week. Though the price is quite OK, in terms of nutritional value I can do better at home.

    2. I am trying to imagine how you prepare your lunch in the office. Your office pantry much be big enough and have the proper amenities like oven, fridge and kitchen utensils. I guess for simple food prep is OK and definitely not for frying char koay teow hah..hah...

    3. Your so-called cheapo freebies cup and plate look nice actually. Very functional :)

    4. So how? You bring your bahan-bahan from home? Or you buy and keep in the office fridge/pantry?

    5. Sandwiches are easy to prepare and so good to eat. I used to make sandwiches for lunch and I enjoy them a lot.

    6. Eating in is very convenient because the weather is so hot. Just going out to tapau food and I come back to office sweating as if I just had a shower. Now with home packed food, I don't have the hassle of going out unless if I want to go to the bank or buy some groceries.

    7. If got microwave in the office, you can actually cook in advance during the weekend, freeze the food and then bring to office. Fried rice freezes quite well. But then you don't cook at home right? Stick to simple food prep in the office is better for you.

    8. I think these days many offices are buying sophisticated stuffs like high end coffee machines plus those electric pots that could cook as well. I forgot that name which is popular from Amway. SK should get one like that as it could heat up, keep warm and even fry.

      Delete
    9. but sometimes i also miss chap fan lah.. that's why during weekends, i probably will have chap fan for lunch, hahaha.. and i guess it is nice to have a little change to cook and eat in the office, until i am bored with this again, then probably will go back to makan at the eateries nearby office.. i think this is some kind of a cycle?? :p

oh yeah, with microwave in the office, many things can be done.. first of all, reheating the food we brought or bought.. more advanced would be cooking using the microwave.. i've been searching for clips on YouTube for microwave recipes, and i have seen many people who are able to cook amazing dishes by just using a microwave.. but then too much of microwaving also not good lah, will try to make simple food instead..

electric pots that comes with many functions?? that sounds interesting, but then not a good idea to have it in the office lah.. afterall it's an office and not a restaurant or cafe~~ :p

    1. Chewah! Got recipe some more. Actually it's good that you provided recipe so that other people can learn how to do it in the office hah..hah... But I cannot wor, because my office don't have pantry.

    2. Not bad lah, should be rather flavorful with the anchovies, kelp and bonito flakes.

      Delete
    3. This bowl of soup is definitely better than the ones from the shop because there is natural flavoring and practically oil free. But it would be even more awesome if you had some fried onions to sprinkle on top hee..hee..

    4. So your colleagues also do simple cooking in the pantry. How many of you are there? I guess you will have to take turns to prepare food or else it would be crowded in there.

    5. I guess many people are not aware that SK is a fussy and simple eater all rolled into one. I would say that he cannot eat too spicy and too strong flavoured besides avoiding all the caffeine drinks.
He only loves Tosai with cheesy mutton curry and down with gallons of toddy! Burp!

    6. hehehehe, i can cook myself and tipu that i bought the food, or i can tapao and then tipu that i cook myself.. but then this beehoon was really cooked in the office from scratch leh.. i am actually quite proud of that, i know it's simple lah, but for me, it's a big deal already, hahaha!!

oh, fussy and simple eater all rolled into one?? errr, how abstract this is to describe me!! and yes you are right, not too spicy for me :D

  28. Hello Sk and friends!! Hope you all are doing well!
Missed a few of your posts already, busy busy... Hope now can catch up with those posts la!

So, it'd s good idea to stay in and have lunch, once a while la. Sometimes too often also can feel bored. I remember my friends and I used to do this too, when I was still working. Sometimes it was because we were lazy, sometimes because it was too hot/raining outside, and sometimes simply because we brought own food there. Anyway, I do enjoy having lunch in the office, since it was lunch hour so it was quiet cause everyone went out already, really can have peace of mind, and I can surf the net without needing to worry that my boss will see, haha!
Also, we can stay clear of the traffic jam, and can save petrol fees, haha!

Well your sandwich looks not bad! And those greens, looks tempting to me cause I am always a vege lover! And best of all, cucumber and carrots no need cook also can eat, just need to wash and cut. Haha xD And it's crunchy too right?

Your bowl of beehoon soup, not bad, very presentable. Anyway it was really simply to prepare I can see, since most of the ingredients no need deep cooking one. See those anchovies, kelps and shitake can easily 'cook' using microwave instead of stove. As for beehoon, soak in hot water can already. Not bad not bad, who says lunch in the office is boring? :p

    1. If you are hardworking, you can always prepare your lunch ahead at home.. Or wake up earlier in the morning to cook... Like fried rice or noodles. Even 3菜1汤 also no problem, simple one la! Hehe~

    2. yeah, after eating the same food around the office like a cycle, it can be quite boring one, so i made a change to cook and eat in the office lah.. so things like sandwiches and salads sure will be in the menu lah, since they are the easiest to prepare and actually quite delicious also.. not much of (or even none) cooking needed, and can almost serve immediately.. so, not bad at all huh?? errr, 3菜1汤?? maybe once in a while lah, everyday do that ah, then not so possible gua?? hahaha..

      Delete
    3. Haha of course, once in a while la, eat too often also sien ma right?
For me, must spare some bread or biscuits or mee cup in the office, anytime hungry can eat, hehe~

    4. Oh yes, my office drawer is full of snacks like a mini F&B Department. That's my only happiness at work when the days are boring. My office's departments that share the same open floor concept with my table, consist of many noisy aunties and sistas who yakked like noisy parrots daily. They also snacked too much until big rats started living beneath their tables! Geeez!

  29. I think it is quite inspiring lah this post. Now people can see that they can actually prepare their lunch or breakfast in the office. I does not seem that difficult at all. I guess you guys have to be more diligent to keep the office pantry clean because cooking activities does require more clean ups.

    1. yeah, of course after having "fun" cooking in the office, then also must make it a responsibility for the aftermath, make sure to clean up and tidy up the pantry, and of course all the washing up.. :)

    2. I agree that this post inspired me a bit to consider eating food from home or cooked from office's pantry. I often felt sick of eating the food at coffee shops nearby my work place as our area is a big industrial area and you can expect many factory workers like me packing all the eating joints. The hot weather these days is not too pleasing too.

i look forward to see more of Thambee's office recipes.

  35. salutebyou la always have those salad ..oat and sandwiches. I am a rice tong. Would like to eat rice or rice product. at least something warm punya la. Beh tahan eating oat and roti. for me roti are like snacks instead of a full meal

  36. too bad la you tarak ngum much of rice. otherwise can but one of those mini miracle rice pot that can cook rice and steam vegetable and also make soup in the office. at least that way will be cheaper la. very simple to use only. just need electricity . not complicated one. then can have healthy meal jor. cook rice put broccoli, carrot and chicken slices in and steam together then can eat jor.

  37. hahaha you bowl of warm bihun also very creative leh.

wei...already have microwave in the office. then can make la many things to eat. go read up some rsimple recipe using microwave la.

you can also "fry" keropok using microwave leh. But then too much microwave food is not good for health la. That is what the expert says .

  38. That bowl of beehoon hor...if let say you don't wanna use salt, you can use tung choy. can buy a packet from 99 speedmart. just rinse the tung choy and piut into the the bowl of soup. will come out nicer than you use salt.

vegetable you buy from where ah? Near your office there got many pasar and pasaraya. sure can get many ingredients cheap and nice la.

hahaha one of these days i think you will be making herbal chicken soup in the office jor.
