[#1243] i know it's mid-autumn and posting this pair of shoes here will sure make everyone loose their appetite for the mooncakes.. i really can't help but to share with everyone how "clean" my nephew's pair of shoes even just after one day wearing it to school.. i am totally puzzled how he did it!!

i remember my shoes had never been so dirty before as i really took good care of them, even a little dirt will make me uneasy.. guess what's the smartest thing i did?? haha, used white chalks in the classroom and rubbed them over the dirt and instantly the shoes were cleaned!! unlike kids nowadays (who get their mummy or maid to wash their shoes), i had to wash my shoes myself, and sometimes when i was lazy, i just spread a layer of shoe whitener on top (of that dirty shoes), and immediately they looked snowy white like brand new pair, haha!! that is why if you get me to wear this pair of black-colored white shoes, i will feel very embarrassed indeed~~ @_@

  30. One thing, I would say I am proud of my elder daughter, she is 7 years old, or I should say I am proud of myself, as I have made her washing her own white shoes on every weekend. Doing this, she is able to be more careful when walking with her shoes, as she knows the pain of washing it.

    ReplyDelete
  31. he needs to apply the shoe-white after washing.

    ReplyDelete
  32. is the environment getting dirtier, or are kids getting more irresponsible of their school shoes?

    ReplyDelete
  34. I also remember I did the same too by putting the shoe whitener on top of the dirty shoes. At one time I got so used to that that I did not wash my shoes for a month @.@; don't worry my shoes are washed :p.

  40. @ Danny:
those are shoes for schools, so must be white only, cannot have colors or else the teacher will scold~~ :D

    @ Mai Yang:
haha, yeah, i read your blog too.. but obviously yours is more pleasant to read on since those are pretty shoes, haha~~

    ReplyDelete
  41. @ reananclaire:
oh really?? shoe whitener came as soap bar?? that will be very convenient right?? my days are those in bottles, and we dip that with sponge and apply to the shoes.. i must apply the whitener, or else i don't feel satisfy with it, haha!! must wear a shiny white pair of shoes to school every Monday morning.. i do put lots of powder and bleach, but still cannot stay away with the shoe whitener!! haha..

    @ Hayley:
then you are good!! while i try my best to keep my shoes clean also, sometimes naughty classmates will just envy and step on your clean shoes, haha~~ :D

    ReplyDelete
  42. @ Merryn:
hahaha, that was why i described that pair of shoes black-color white shoes!! hey, i just saw that after his school, maybe just when he reached his school, already become like that.. so for the whole day through, no more space to get worse already, hahaha!! :D

    @ yvonne:
actually i seldom use the chalk unless there is news on spot check!! normally i just use the shoe whitener to cover, haha, that's more effective actually!! yeah, i wonder why my sister in law can stand that, if i were his dad, for sure i will demand him to wash that dirty shoes himself!! already 8 years old, should be doing that already.. i remember i start washing my own shoes since i go to school..

    ReplyDelete
  43. @ choi yen:

    @ suituapui:
hahahaha, you make the guess!! it's the same question of asking whether a zebra is black with white stripes of white with black stripes.. hmmm, i think if we make them wash their own shoes, most probably they will do their best to keep them clean.. because they do not want to wash everyday~~ :D

    ReplyDelete
  44. @ lina:
not a clean freak but then don't you find that pair of shoes is really too unacceptably dirty?? i wonder if i could make it even wearing for one whole month, haha!! oh, you let your dad wash the shoes for raimie?? haha, that's the problem, kids nowadays have people wash their shoes for them, so they never care and appreciate at all!!

    @ Mai Yang:
haha, so how dirty is dirty to you?? please share this in your next posts~~ :p

    ReplyDelete
  45. @ Bananazஇ:

    @ iamthewitch:
hahaha, same same here!! i won't purposely use the chalk unless i heard about spot check by the headmaster, haha!! and the shoe whitener is a must for me, whether on a pair of clean shoes, or when i am too lazy to wash them!! haha.. i also try to keep my shoes clean, hate people stepping on my shoes and dirtied them too..

    ReplyDelete
  47. @ Isaac Tan:
yes, exactly!! so amazingly "clean".. nowadays they have people to wash the shoes for them, that's why they never care..

    @ HappySurfer:
hahaha!! yeah, those are originally grey and the white spots you see are actually dirt!! haha.. thanks for the greeting and hope you enjoyed your mid-autumn celebration too.. :)

    ReplyDelete
  48. @ Kian Fai:
haha, school kids must wear these white shoes and not black leather shoes lah.. but even if they are wearing black shoes, i'm sure the shoes will turn grey also lah!! wakakakaka, how you wash your shoes?? no common sense at all!! or you just pretend and your mum has no choice but to do that for you?? kekeke, smart eh~~ :p

    @ Alice Law:
definitely no accident because it's been so perpetually dirty whenever he comes back from school.. i really wonder how he can make it, playing foot stepping with classmates maybe, haha!! hey, i love those whitener, really helps especially when i don't feel like washing the shoes, haha~~ :D

    ReplyDelete
  49. @ Medie007:
reminds me of your clorox-ed robe!! hahaha~~

    @ Tekkaus:
hahaha, that could be possible because i really cannot figure out how he can turn the shiny white shoes into that "clean"!! hmmm, i can only wash on Sunday morning because i need to go to school 6 days in a week.. so many times i don't wash because of rain, and that was when i use the whitener!! hahahaha.. errr, i will feel uneasy if i'm to wear such "clean" shoes to school, the teacher will sure ask~~

    ReplyDelete
  50. @ bluecloud:

    @ Sheoh Yan:
yeah, that is the problem with many kids nowadays.. too spoilt by parents or grandparents, and they don't have to wash their shoes, that is why the never care!! should have ask them to wash the shoes themselves, then they will know it's better to keep them clean.. :)

    ReplyDelete
  51. @ wenn:
errr, nope, even if it's shiny white, it still turns out to be this grey after a day in school~~

    @ ladyviral:
yeah, kids nowadays are never taking responsibilities.. they mostly have their shoes washed by somebody else, that is why they never care.. unlike us, we need to wash them ourselves, and there comes all sorts of tricks to make it clean so that we don't suffer than much when it comes to washing the shoes.. or maybe just grab a can of shoe whitener will do right?? hahahaha..

    ReplyDelete
  52. @ Wai Kitt:
but you were wearing white shoes to school for like 20 years right?? haha, but i still like white sport shoes now, they look good and i'm often on white shoes during leisure..

    @ Amelia's De-ssert:
yeah, you are amazed with how he turned that shiny white shoes into such "clean" pair right?? haha, last time we are so lucky to have shoe whitener right?? cut down our pain in washing them~~ :p

    ReplyDelete

    @ kyh:
hahaha, so i think many of us are doing that too!! the white chalk is only the last resort when i heard there will be spot check.. but the shoe whitener is a must for me, whether on washed shoes or unwashed shoes, hahaha!! :D

    ReplyDelete
  54. we used to wash our own shoes too...and i enjoyed applying the whitener. i love white color shoes too....

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  56. hahaha! Yes, SK we do! Layers after layers after layers... by the time I washed my shoes... there was so many layers of whitener, my whole pail was white and it was hard to get rid of the whitener haha!

    ReplyDelete
  57. eventually kids today also got more than one pair of shoes. i have seen some that changes shoe pattern everyday... (in singapore they can wear white nike shoes as long as it is white) so technically, no need to wash if not dirty =3.

  66. @ mNhL:
haha, yes!! i also enjoyed applying the whitener, because the shoes really looks extraordinary clean after that..

    @ edward:

    ReplyDelete
  67. @ ladyviral:
oh?? i would thot the whitener will already peel off gradually before you bring it to wash, that's why the shoes get dirty mah.. hmmm, maybe you've been applying too many layers already.. for me i don't see a problem, everytime i wash my shoes, sure it will get more dirty (because the whitener was washed off), but then applying a new layer of whitener it becomes brand new again, haha!! oh yeah, i only have one pair of shoes last time compared to kids nowadays at least three pairs!! they are really so lucky..

    @ foongpc:
haiyoh, of course not my shoes lah, i don't even remember my shoes had been so dirty before even one month wearing it.. haha, i only use the white chalk as the last resort, normally my shoes will be quite clean, just wash it once a week but make sure i have whitener applied.. hmmm, i think it's a good idea to wear black shoes.. and i also hate that green pants, luckily my school uniform is all white, but again getting dirty easily..

    ReplyDelete

    @ Bengbeng:
haha, he has been wearing that shoes all the time.. but i think if he ever has to change to another pair of shoes in school, most probably he will have forgotten his shoes too!! i really know this nephew well, haha.. gosh, so you make Benghui fork out the RM18 by installment for another pair of new shoes?? :D hey, doing well here, just the same old me.. hope you are well too~~ :)
