when everyone is rushing to watch "Transformer" the movie at their soonest convenience, i chosed to watch this Japanese movie yesterday during weekend.. this is a multi award winning movie, including the best foreign language picture for this year's Oscar.. frankly speaking, compared to the also best foreign language picture "Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon", i think this movie is more subtle and witty, and in a way more acclaimed, to bring out the message of family, love and hope.. i recommend this movie, to all movie lovers this is a MUST in your list..
有一幕係我印象深刻嘅: 痛失愛兒嘅爸爸喺納棺儀式完成之後, 感激地對禮儀師話:「佢在生之時, 我每次見親佢男扮女裝, 我都覺得好丟假, 我哋一定大嘈一輪.. 今日多謝你哋達成佢個心願, 將佢化得好靚.. 剛才重見佢展開笑容嘅樣, 我終於明白無論佢變成咩樣, 佢都依然係我嘅親生骨肉!!」說罷, 即刻聲淚俱下..there was one scene that i remember most clearly: a father who has lost his beloved son told the morticians after the encoffinment ceremony, "when he's alive, everytime when i see him putting on his drag outfits, i would be very angry and we would certainly be quarrelling very fiercely.. but i really want to thank you for fulfilling his dream, you have made him look absolutely beautiful today.. i saw the long lost smile on his face, and i finally understood that, no matter how he has become, he is always my son no doubt!!" the father burst into tears after this..

ReplyDeleteI've watched this movie last week. And yeah, I love it soooo much. The storyline is very touching with great performance from all the actors/actresses. I would recommend this movie to everyone as well. I'm kind of love the last scene though...

oh precisely!! it is a really good movie, it’s touching yet not heavy at all.. i agree with you that the last scene was very well plotted, but i have a little complaint that it ended too soon, i was like hoping to see a happy ending – eg: the wife finally accepted his profession, and they are playing happily by the rocky river band etc – didn’t expect it ended that way, hahaha, perhaps that’s normally how a award-winning movie ends?? :D
Really that good? Then I must watch it! But I have yet to watch Transformers!

ReplyDeleteI think the wife had accepted her husband's profession when she told people that her husband is a "Professional" lo. But I agreed la, didn't expect it to end just like that also. The last scene where he recalled back his childhood and his father's face eventually became clearer...I think it was briliant. :)
