2014.04.18 | 護膚香身

[Volume 9 Issue 4, #1884]
got these stuffs (yes, i purposely erased the brands from the photo because i am not advertising here) for myself last saturday at a warehouse sales, a warehouse sales i've always been looking forward to every year.. besides clothes and shoes, skincare and perfumes are something i like to shop.. albeit being old stock manufactured 2-3 years ago, i suppose cosmetics and chemicals don't expire huh?? if they do, they don't degrade badly right?? with such attractive price at least 40% off the retail, i cannot resist but to stock up because i probably won't be getting them at these price until the next event next year.. but i was a little disappointed that they did not have more choices hence i only got these few compared to the last round.. anyway, i am still happy that i saved money from getting them at cheaper price, that's seeing things from a different angle so i don't feel bad for spending money on them, haha!! life is short my dear folks, let's choose to be happy and stop being grumpy~~ :)

    1. So 哲学 topic today....must think think a bit first.....sometimes depends on the person, some people buy the thing because they feel worthy but for certain other people, they might think that's not worthy for that price!!!

Like my friend always said I always very stingy on food, enough to fulfill my stomach then is good enough la, don't have to eat very very expensive food like high-tea or somewhat...and think seriously, those food end up gonna become excreta...as long as we eat healthy then is good enough la, right???

Because compare to food and things I like, I would prefer things I like, food end up become excreta, but things can last longer...and I see it everyday and use it everyday!!!

Also like some people they are very willing to save all their money to buy a branded bag, because for them the bag is everything, also can show off a bit to people around them.....but seriously for me...it's just a bag mah...even though people saw it already, they might just "wah, wah a bit!" then the end of the story and forget about it after that...no one would remember who and who have very branded bag!!!

    2. Like it or not really is depend on the person, like many elderly complains many youngster nowadays love to use the money they earn to buy cars, luxury stuffs or go travel etc....in their perspective should at least save some money to buy a house first, because if something happened, you at least have a house on hand mah!!! But nowadays those houses are so expensive, even though youngster want to buy also got to face a lot of problems...

kkk...got to ciao first...come back later tonight...so many things to do today!!! =]

    3. Good morning Xiao Ying. I agree with you on point 1.

It depends on what you like lor.

For me I like books...nope...i LOVE books...so if ask me go borong books and spend a few hundreds ringgit i don't mind. But if ask me buy clothing...I will "sakit gigi" if the baju more than rm100 leh...or of the price i perceived that it worth.

Sure will kena the manufacturer scold coz am such a cheapskate on clothing.

Like SK..I think perfume on 40% sale is very worth it leh. Just think...some perfume selling rm200-RM300 leh...then slash price to 40% wor...better than buying full price la. Some more for me not always use leh.

Kaldip bought me perfumes some years ago i have yet to finish using leh. But i do like the bottles. can be collector item.

    4. On point 2...saving for houses...i think we are turning to be like in Hong kong where house prices shoot up too high. At least in Singapore they have the flat though have to wait long la.

Price shoot up too high..cannot afford to buy so what else...buy things that is affordable lor...baju...gadget...beauty products and stuffs like that

actually for me perfume a bottle rm200-Rm300 i already think it's over priced leh. The inventor just have to create a scent...then after that no need any upgrade or maintainance and he/she will keep earning money from that perfume leh...but that is my typical stingy thinking la

    5. Meow, same here.. It very much depends on what you like.. If you drop me at Daiso for 15 minutes, I think I can bring the whole place down with a cart full of stuffs.. But if you ask me buy perfumes at RM25, I will think left think right, think once, think twice, whether or not to buy.. Coz I don’t use perfumes and fragrances..

Hubby (then bf) bought me a set of C* perfumes from the airport many donkey years ago, before we started getting serious in paktoring, I keep until now, belif? Never use leh..

Same case, if drop me at Time Square, I think I can also bring the whole place down within minutes *monkey dance*.. But if you drop me at Pavillon or Starhill, errr, I think I call you back in 3 minutes ask you to come back and fetch me home..

So yeah, it depends what you like and whether you use it or not..

    6. err...Daiso ah/...errr...i can come out empty handed la...even MPH or borders also can come out empty handed unless you know at what sale la

for this perfume sale i think if i go i will end up buy also la...mostly will buy for kaldip la as he working and when meeting needs to use perfume la.

For myself, i seldom use la. I will buy a tiny bottle for myself maybe. Coz i love all those cute cute perfume bottles. The bottles are so unique. I love their design.

I wonder if this perfume sale have those or not

    7. well, normally cosmetic products have a shelf life of about 3 years. The effect will degrade when it reaches its expiry date. But it can still be used if it's kept in a cool place. I usually throw away once it's expired as my sensitive skin will have problem if I use it.

      Delete
    8. for a year should be okay gua....like...if manufactured two years ago....can use for one more year.

      Delete
    9. yes, don't keep for too long. Bad effect for the skin.

      Delete
    10. Yeah, don't use after the expired date. However, all these products can last very long.

      Delete
    11. Btw, SK, got keep some expensive and nice perfume for special dates ? Lol

      Delete
    12. Good Afternoon Bloggers! It's Good Friday too!

Long expired perfumes should not harm the skin, they will just be less fragrant only. If we use expired skincare products, then they may not be safe for the skins.

    13. So I met Thambee there at the warehouse! Dei you woke up so late and half of the barangs all snapped up liao. Anay was early bird and had to queue up so long outside to get in.

    16. I got no comment on perfume since I can't smell, I always got to ask my friend or my sis to smell for me, if they said it's good then it's good lo!!! So usually my perfume came from my sister or my friend and some beauty box la, as they only give in the small small bottle one, those can use when traveling!!!

About the expire perfume, my eldest sister has used one of those expire perfume before, then her skin got itchy and red...not sure whether she has sensitive skin or what, but better don't use after expire date la!!!

Like those cosmetic and facial stuffs if I saw they're very close too expire date...I won't use them anymore......as I've very bad experience that I've a friend who gave me a very big box of Christmas present, I was happy for it......but when I open it, inside was full of almost expire beauty products!!! =.=!!! Not to being impolite but I really scared to use them la, as I always tell my sis "I'm very short and fat already, I don't want anything happened to my face!"

    17. very true lah, those things that we like, no matter how expensive also we may want to own them.. but those things we find no interest or no use, give for free also may want to consider.. so it's all individual sukak lor, i myself can be quite "vulnerable" when comes to all these skincare and perfumes, and what's more, it's so much cheaper than the retail!! i will regret and feel bad if i don't get them from the warehouse sales, haha!!

hmmm, those are actually stocks manufactured between end 2011 to end 2013, so i think should still be okay to use them.. must use them lah, since i bought them and not cheap also (though still cheaper than retail).. my thick fat skin should be able to take them hahahaha!!

      Delete
    18. Yah, yah, I know that feeling, I've see some books very cheap during warehouse sales, then I keep on telling myself "don't buy la, I still have a lot to read at home!" Then few weeks later I saw the same book again, it goes back to the original price...felt like I was so stupid why I didn't buy it at the warehouse and some books I want are no longer selling anymore!!! =[

      Delete
    19. hahaha, spot on!! i have experienced that before.. when sales that time didn't buy, but then when sales over and the item went back to normal price, or when return there another day and found that it has sold out, feel like want to stab myself lor, haha~~ :D

    20. alo anay...

muhahaha...me and letchumi same la....buy perfume spray liao no more leh...but buy books after read can read again or donate out mah :p

The sets buy for letchumi ka Her skin is perfect leh. Hmmm...got buy anything for yourself or not...later all habis liao. Letchumi more cantik leh nanti other guys wanna tackle her jor.

Hahaha Xiao Ying understand me...ya lor...i see the book rm8 only wor...see in other book store rm40...sakit hati or not.

But if perfume i will sure grab for kaldip la. unless got those tiny cute cute bottles. Those i buy to keep. Coz i like those bottles shapes.

      Delete
    21. i love perfumes lah, of course must be the types of smell i like lah (for: fresh and light, not those fruity and flowery and powdery and heavy ones) and i also love their bottles too, very nice design lah.. have tried collecting the bottles after the perfume finish, but then took up too many space so i throw them all, haha!! :D

  2. I like your last sentence.. Like my tag line: Life is short, just do it, break the rules (don’t get caught), but know the boundaries.. YOLO & Go with the flow..

    Wait, YOLO?

    Y – You
    O – Only
    L – Live
    O – Once

How many Year 2014 you have? How many 32 years old you have? You tell me. If you spend too long time thinking and stressing aout something, you might let the good things around you slip away.. But it’s always easier said than done, if it really happens to you, then maybe you won’t say the same thing.. Things happen to me, it still is til today, but nobody except myself can help myself.. Unless, well, you want to go see a physiatrist and eat some pills to relax your mind.. Sometimes when we are “blind”, we just need a neutral medium to slash some sense into our brains..

    1. Ooops, what am I talking about? But errr, ok ma, still goes along with your topic, coz it’s about your last sentence in your post, teehee..

Ok, back to your post.. Errr, call me jakun:
I don’t go to warehouse sales (coz no time and nobody fetch, I’m bad in my sense of direction)
      I don’t use cosmetics (I don’t put on makeup)
I don’t use skincare (I only use water to rinse my face everyday, I have moisturizer but rarely use it, coz some expired liao, hehe, but “mm seh tak” dump it..)

    2. But I wish I can go to warehouse sales.. It’s so tempting, especially when I see baby warehouse sales.. Things there are usually cheaper than market price.. Expensive and bulky things like sterilizer and certain baby accessories are really expensive, but if can grab at warehouse sales, very “dai” also.. I remembered the A***t blender cost about RM400++ in the market, but if can grab from warehouse sales, it only cost about RM299++..

I’m using the blender til now actually.. It’s a steamer & blender, two-in-one.. It can be used to make baby purees easily.. Steam the vegetables, then you just have to overturn it, and it is turned into a blender already.. Really very convenient..

    3. Can only write so much today.. Coz I'm not really good at warehouse sales, never been to one in my entire life.. Errr, what else to talk about ahh?

    4. why cannot go for warehouse sale? scared of crowd?

Another friend also went for this perfume warehouse sale and whatapps me the photos. Mak oi....so long queue just to go in. I really salute my friend la. Early in the morning as they open for business already start queueing up.

LOL...sound like me and the books warehouse sale Muhahaha....fanatic about that

anyway...SK ..what time you go to the warehouse sale? My friend went as they open door leh. got long queue and they let people in by batches.

Maybe you arrive late so some of the brand that you wanted already people borong all?

    5. I regretted not buying all my baby things from the warehouse sales lastime.. People usually say take hand-me-downs and second hand for baby things, coz they grow up very fast, no need to buy new stuffs.. I agree on some, but disagree on some..

Here’s my case, then you know why.

When I was pregnant with Kz, I insisted “harn dak jau harn” (jimat), no need purposely buy new stuff.. Can use all second hand from BIL coz he has a son.. His wife die-die say no more kids.. Don’t want another kid liao.. So I took all her stuffs, you name it – breast pumps, sterilizer, cot, stroller, car seat, hi chair, toys, clothes, basically all the big stuffs..

Then…. About a year later, she got pregnant! (People who say don’t want kids liao, liar, don’t belif them).. So I had to give all back.. That time Kz was already 1.5 years old, then I was thinking, ok la, can give her back, since Kz no longer needs most of the stuffs..

      Then, ta-daa, I was pregnant with G!

How? No breast pumps, no sterilizer, not even a cot, stroller, car seat, damn !! Triple damn !!

Buy new ones lor.. Now you tell me, save money or spend more money?

      Delete
    6. aiyo no need to rant on this la. I also get hands me down from my SIL for J. She also said no more kids. But then come out one more. Kids are blessing la. Now she have 4 kids.

But by then J no need those things already la.

You can still source from other friends and family la

Those prams , baju car seats and all that we bought from warehouse sale for J we also hand down to friends and family leh.

And some of the baby gift I cannot use all, I also "recycle" give to other people as gifts.

Speaking of...i think it is a good idea to buy perfume as gift leh.

SK you borong for yourself only or also borong as gifts for friends and family?

I think if close friends who know we buy from warehouse sale they wont mind la accepting as gift.

but I wont dare to give to those who is not close la. Mana tau people may see the manufacturing date and say why give barang that is near expiry.

But then again...if friends that is not that close punya , i wont be giving such expensive gift leh. even in warehouse sale...perfume also will cost in the region of RM100 leh

      Delete
    7. At one time, very "hing" Justin Bie**r perfume or something.. Office people seems to be crazy over it.. They borong like 10 bottles per person leh.. Then I think they either give it as gifts or they sell to others at a markup price.. They get it from someone, who claims to buy at the price of RM50, so this someone sell to the office people at the price of RM60.. So he untung RM10 for every bottle sold to the office.. Then these office people, with 10 (or more) bottles in hand, sell to their own friends or give as gifts (I dunno), maybe at a price of RM80, still cheaper than market rate, which was about RM135 or more.. I heard la..

Then at one time, very "hing" apam ladybird.. It's steamed cake, with ladybird pattern.. Go google.. Then office people crazy over it and keep borong-ing.. Either they eat themselves or use as door gift.. They can borong 10 packets each, I also dunno for what.. Takkan they can finish the cake in 1 day meh..

And now, latest trend, borong oats & wheats bar.. I forgot the brand.. Now very popular, everyone in the office (including my fussy boss) also borong about 90 pieces of the bars.. It's made of wheat & oats, coated in white chocolate, something like that, if borong can get RM12.. if buy from outside, I think FB people selling at RM15 or 20..

I think there's a group in FB (I forgot the name) which tells us what the "in" thing right now, what's the latest trend, warehouse sales, kid's playgroup, latest yoga place and all.. Hmm, speaking of this, gotta search for this group liao..

    8. I also become aunty kiasu liao, see office people borong what, I also want.. Some salespeople go Ipoh or Pg for sales, borong biscuits, cookies and chicken, they "take orders" from office people.. I see I also want, hehe.. End up like pasar malam.. When this fella come back, we will go to him to "take our orders" and pay him.. Like "yat chau yee lang" (both hands full) ambil barang pergi carpark after work, really look like aunty kiasu, keke, but very cute also la..

Then there was one time this fella go back hometown (he goes back to his hometown every month lastime), borong otak-otak.. I didn't join in the "fun" lastime coz I was thinking, aiya, otak-otak, not interested.. Then office people started ordering from him, and asking him to kirim balik.. Not 1 or 2 packets leh, but 10 or 15 packets !! It must be really nice, I was thinking.. Lady boss borong 50 from him leh !!!

So, being an aunty kiasu (as usual), I also borong 5 from him.. Turned out, wei, sedap wei... Can just terus heat up using office microwave, eat like that or "kiap" with bread, boleh jugak.. Yumm yumm, I think I must ask him again, when go back hometown, wana borong otak-otak from him again... *slurrrppp*

      Delete
    9. Even the "yim kuk gai" (salted chicken) also we borong leh.. See who go to Ipoh (for sales or what), then we tumpang him to kirim.. Poor fella, his car full of chickens.. Sometimes up to 30 boxes !! Gawd !! Imagine one office person already ordered 3 (I'm talking abt myself, teehe).. One chicken tak cukup, so small, must eat 3 chickens, haha..

What also can borong one la.. Sometimes, I wonder ahh, no need to work, become middle person to borong all this can make money also hor.. Just like the drop-ship thingy in FB and online sales right now..

Works like this.. You no need do anything, you just kangkang sit there only, become middle person, of course you need to promote and spread the website to your friends..So when your friends order that thing from you, say baju, you just have to forward that order to the "supplier" or the person who ask you do the drop-ship.. The fella will do everything for you, handling the order and posting the baju to your fren.. Then you just sit there, no need do anything already can get RM10 (or more).. Say the baju the supplier selling is RM20, you become the drop-ship agent, you advertise in your FB selling for RM35, so when your fren buys, you get RM10 from this fella lor, while this fella also untung RM5 from this transaction...

Aiya, now what also got.. See wana do or not only..

      Delete
    10. A colleague sitting at the back of me is doing this now.. She got to know a friend from FB.. This fella borong all the clothes from warehouse sales, then selling it at her own FB.. My colleague is interested to become drop-ship agent, so the fella gave her everything to be uploaded in my colleague's FB.. The clothes info, measurement, etc.. So now, my colleague created another account in FB, using a vogue name for this website, and started uploading pictures into this FB.. No need to do anything, just create album and upload the pictures (given by the original fella) only.. Price? Up to my colleague to decide.. Fella selling for RM25, colleague up the price to RM50.. If there's buyer, colleague get RM 20, fella get RM5.. Everything done by the fella, colleague just have to spread to her contacts and friends 9and hope people will buy)..

Of course this cannot be treated as full time job la.. The salary of a full time job is still more than the drop-ship online business.. But my colleague has high hopes and ambition, she is hoping to have own shop and sell clothes (bought at warehouses of coz) at a cheaper price..

Wah, suddenly my essay is talking about online biz liao.. But well, still within topic.. My keywords are: borong & warehouse.. So I think still ok - LOL

Warehouse sales are always cheap and worth buying. I would grab without much thoughts at one go and later give away pula! This round i bought 3 perfume sets to be given away to 3 Birthday people in August. I have saved RM200 easily.

      Delete
    15. Oh no, I calculated again...I think i saved RM400. Happeeee!!
The YSL set costs me only RM100 when outside sells at RM250 a set. The Armani Sports was RM100 when outside sells at RM270.

    16. Actually it can turns into some sort of business one, a lot of youngsters like to do that like those always been called as "after 70s or after 80s!!!" Like they go Korea or Japan spotted on some clothes then wear it, have a selfie of it then post on FB or website ask who wants it, if the customers confirmed then they buy it!!! As for those very close customers, they'll straight away send the picture to them ask them whether they want or not!!! It's a very good business but must really have the heart to do it and very time consuming, like starting the business must have to build a very hardcore trust between suppliers and consumers!!!

      Delete
    17. yes, agree.. it's our life and in the end, it's only us who is going to help ourselves to solve the problems.. so no point being emo and rant, but just take action and do not let things drag.. choose to be happy, face the problem positively :)

yeah, a friend also showed me the long queue.. but by the time i was there around noon, there was no queue already, probably the people have already grabbed all the things and left, only left behind very little things for me to buy, haha.. anyway, consider not bad since i can still grab something..

TM only bought perfumes to friends whose birthday are in August.. what about those in June?? muahahaha.. the gray one is RM105, the white ones are RM65 each and the perfume is RM120.. so i spent RM355 but i guess i saved more than that comparing to retail price..

I know for books got people do that la. Buy RM8 then sell online RM20. Untung leh. But I lazy to do that.

For perfume and toileteries and some m0re branded products sure got people will grab if someone sell online.

Might be worth checking it out in various FB groups or online individual sale website

  5. Good morning SK and all.

Warehouse sale shopping ah. syoknya. But i have to avoid liao coz i tend to overspend when in warehouse sale. used to chase all these warehouse sale when J was younger coz it's much cheaper buying kids baju and those diapers from warehouse sale leh

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Ooohh you avoid ahh? Me? I wana go also no chance go, coz usually those places are not in shopping centres.. It's always located inside a taman perindustrian inside a housing estate, something like that.. Very rarely I see in shopping centres one..

My skincare expired also I still use also.. I use it to sapu on my legs and hands lor.. "yung tak mou sai" (still can use don't waste), hehe.. *tak malu*

But baby products very "dai" if can grab from warehouse sales lor.. Especially new mummies who seems like wana get everything brand new.. Can get at cheaper price.. Like breast pumps, sterilizer, stroller, etc.. But lastime during my time, all hand-me-down from BIL..

The bad thing about taking all from BIL was, when I had G, his wife also pregnant.. So they need back all the stuffs.. So I had to give them back.. Ended up, I need to buy new ones for G afterall.. So, better get our own..

    2. It depends on what warehouse sale la. Some are in shopping complex leh like the recent perfume sale that SK went to is in Park Royal if I am not mistaken.

And the mattel warehouse sale was in Jaya 1.

Pureen warehouse sale is in warehouse la but then in "civilised" area mah...straight go from Jaya one will be the factory for Pureen warehouse sale lor. when J was younger and need use diaper i would go borong there as it is cheaper. same goes for those steriliser pills for the baby bottles , baby powder and baby lotion etc.

But that warehouse sale is more flexible la. Not like this perfume sale. I heard no handbags allowed. Coz some of those perfume are tiny. so people might curi .

I usually bring handbag. scrae to leave it in car . so kinda troublesome to go for perfume sale.

      Delete
    3. I used to go for sales items when my kids were young. Save a lot on clothing and toys. Now I still love warehouse sales but I have to control myself. Otherwise, I will shop and shop till I drop.

      Delete
    4. yea...can shop and shop in warehouse sale. Now i seldom go liao. Coz as J grows ...those pricey bb baju no longer applicable.

Can buy cheapskate baju for him. When baby was worried about allergy and all that la. now bigger immune liao.

      Delete
    5. I always buy cheapo sets for Kz.. RM8.90 for a shirt+pants.. Normally J K*ds from J**co.. Very good brand, I like.. Coz always in sets, and price is affordable, hehe..

    6. I hardly buy clothes for my children anymore as they like their old clothes. Those clothes are cooler it seems.

      Delete
    7. I also try to avoid. Too many aunties just grab this and that until I couldn't walk and choose what I want, and its so hot inside. Then, also kena accidentally molested by hamsup aunties....hehhe

      Delete
    8. Haha Chris, am laughing now.. You always get molested by hamsap aunties ahh? What about lenglui? If lenglui then I think you won't say like that anymore lor..

      Delete
    9. Leng lui then don't mind la... hehhe

      Delete
    10. haha, so it all nails down to how you see things - whether you spent money buying, or you saved money after you have bought them.. and yes lah, most of the warehouse sales are in very remote areas like factory etc, but some also in shopping malls and easily assessable lah..

but then can be crowded and have to be aware of your belongings.. so far this one i went still good, they will ask you to leave you bag outside while you take out your valuables, and that though crowded but the venue is spacious so won't be like sardine.. and they also control the crowd going in..

      Delete
    11. LOL...what la Chris ni...wait for aunties t molest ah...later aunties cream you hamsap lou leh. these sale normally is aunties go one mah. Yes...one thing about warehouse sale like sk said...gv to careful of your bag. senang kena seluk saku.

But i see the perfume sale crowd control ok la. they go in by vbatches. ones can browse easily. no need to besardine and danger of being pick pockets

      Delete
    12. haha, yalah, later those hamsap aunties molest you but then blame you who touched them instead.. these things ah, being guys manyak rugi one you know??

yeah, this sales is okay woh, though when i was there, no queue and not big crowd but guess there wasn't any unhappy thing that happened lah..

  6. Eh...i see Polo blue....there is one black punya kan? Think I bought black punya before la

    ReplyDelete

    1. ah, yes, that one is RL.. they have different types of RL perfumes all very cheap in combo boxes.. Meow bought the black one for Kaldip?? that's the one Anay hate most, hahaha!! :D

    2. hahahaha...yea...bought for kaldip before....that one have very strong scent

      Delete
    3. oh, Kaldip loves strong scent like those?? or maybe Meow loves those very masculine smell that's why she bought for Kaldip :p

    1. yeah, not bad.. i think the saving is more than what i've paid for..

  8. Oh I see that SK likes branded stuff :) And you are smart to get them at warehouse sales because the regular prices are ridiculous. I know these things are quality goods but price wise we have to pay too much. I am not into perfumes and toiletries but I do go for handbags, shoes and clothes (very rare though, I am not fashion conscious hah...hah...). So I only buy during sales. Money not so easy to earn :(

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I like your last sentence.. Money is not easy to earn.. Especially with two kids.. Was trying to find a nanny for G, he's too young to go to a nursery, guess what, RM1k for daytime only! if we pick him up late, there will be OT charge.. My, RM1k! And it's not near, ahave to drive a certain distance from my place to hers.. The nursery, on the other hand, is just downstairs my condo, only cost like RM400 (but it's not one-one or one-to-two attention), and it's not Chinese-owned, so now still contemplating.. Sigh, headache..

      Delete
    2. haha, yes branded stuffs, because all things also have their own brand right?? hehe, and of course i started buying them from counters in departmental stores, until i came across this warehouse sales few years ago.. wow, really a lot cheaper, so now i only buy from warehouse sales.. money not easy to earn, so have to save more lor, buy discounted items!! :p

      Delete
    3. sometimes i think buy one branded stuff but it can last long time instead of buy several chiplak things that cant last long is better...but branded stuff usually i buy from warehouse sale leh. too stingy to buy full price

      Delete
    4. very true lah, if keep on buying several chiplak things that can't last long, might as well buy slightly expensive ones for better quality.. yalah, branded stuffs always very highly marked up, better go for warehouse sales.. :)

  10. I like warehouse sales too as you can really get discounted products unlike those in malls where they marked up. However , the problem is there are too many people in these type of sales where you can barely moved and choose your products. In addition , there could some insiders job where the workers keep the best for the themselves or friends.

well good or bad still okay la...price is cheap mah in warehouse sale. barang that we frequently use then can buy la. and also the low price makes us able to buy and try out new products leh. like a certain kind of skin care ...i wanna try out but full price too expensive. when i see it in the warehouse sale i will buy lo. if after use tarak ngum my skin or what at least i wont feel so sad la coz lost money.

But those like detergent or househokd product sale i will still chase

    6. haha, Seremban is not very far lah, i guess even if you factor in the petrol, still no rugi because the warehouse sales can really help to save a lot.. errr, and true, some so-called warehouse sales also tipu one lah.. just very little discounts or big discounts on very limited stock only, those went once and that's it~~

  21. How I wish there's such a warehouse sales here at my hometown!! I know there're lots of warehouse sales happening at KL, clothes, bags, perfumes and etc... Not just woman loves it but man too!
I love going such warehouse sales, not only can get some worth buying stuff, but can get free samples too! (haha auntie mode ON) Well even if we are not buying, window shopping is good enough since there're so many brands around, one shot can see all, how convenient!

But going to such sales must make it early, and if possible don't go on weekend... Otherwise sure need to squeeze with people like sardine. Those fairs also same thing, I remember visiting the baby fair at KLCC when I was preggie, it was so packed cause it was a Sunday, and people din't seems to avoid me though I was pregnant, actually many pregnant women around but the public just don't have the intention to be careful. So we have to be careful on our own.

    1. Hmm, cosmetics and chemicals DOES expire!! It should be written at the bottle, usually at the back or bottom, it's a sign like a container with the number of months in the center, like 12M, 24M, it means 12 months or 24 months or more or less.
I always pay attention to this, some I even labelled the date of when I first use that product. Call me kiasi but I think it's something we apply on the face so don't play play. Later if anything bad happen to the face then regret also no use. Well you know la face is the important asset for a lady so I better play safe.
But hor sometimes we feel kinda wasted if we just throw away the product... Especially if it's expensive, or given by someone, or bought from oversea. So if applicable I will use on my legs/arms, haha! Or if it's the cosmetics like eye shadow or mascara, I'll use them as 'color pencil' and draw on papers, saja saja main la! But now hardly do that, where got time!! :p

      Delete
    2. Mask also will get expire lo, so that's why I must force myself to use it everyday, but not everyday, sometimes very lazy, but at least three to four times per week!!!

      Delete
    3. but many of these warehouse sales are only during weekends because it's temporary and only weekends that they can have more crowd.. anyway, this warehouse sales i went always good one, maybe the time i reached there, the crowd has already left with most of the goods, left little for me to buy only, haha!!

oh, i just find the month of manufacturing but didn't notice the 12M and 24M thing you mentioned, hmmm, thanks for sharing this information, let me go back and try to find this information on the bottle.. but you are right lah, the skincare and perfume though cheaper but still quite expensive mah, how to just throw away like that?? deliberately waste it lor, so that at least it's thrown away empty, haha!!

      Delete
    4. hmmm, i just went to check my products and they all have that a open jar symbol that writes a 12M there.. but i google that one a bit, it says that is not really the expiry date, it means that you can still use the product for 12M after opening the bottle or jar.. thank you for sharing this info, now i have a better idea already.. after opening, sure can finished within a year lah, i have a huge face mah!! haha~~ :D

      Delete
  22. So I can see you are pretty happy with your loots! 40% discount?? Wow!! No wonder you grabbed quite a lot! Well consider quite a lot already la, for a guy.
Not many choices? Hmm, at least you are still happy to be able to buy something in the end. I mean with such a great deal, die die also must get something la! If not, waste the energy and petrol going to the sales ma! :p

I remember you said you love perfume! Well I know what to get you if I go oversea, some special perfume ;)
Speaking of perfume, I do have a few bottles of perfume, and they seems to tak habis habis one, haha! Already keep for years but still cannot finish!! So to help them finish fast I usually spray on the clothes, spray at the closet, treat it as room deodorant, haha! Of course if spray on clothes, have to see what kinda clothes la, if it's light colored then cannot, if it's dark then ok la!
So I know you said you remove the brands, but I think the perfume is from Polo Raulp Lauren? And the others, are skincare products right? Hmm is it Biotherm?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Yea, life is short to think too much. So just go do whatever we want... That include to pamper ourselves and buy the things we like/want, also to eat the food we want!!
You know sometimes before we buy some things, we'll sorta hesitate whether it's really necessary? Will we use it in the future? But sometimes we debate with ourselves for so long which in the end the evil's side wins, we'll say to ourselves 'haiyah don't care la, lantak la, buy first then only decide how to use...'
So end up we keep stocks at home, haha! But what I wanna say is, if it's cheap and worth buying, we shall not think further!!

      Delete
    2. yalor, haha!! actually doesn't make sense if all the way go to the warehouse sales but come out empty handed right?? die die also must buy something lah, and this time really consider not much woh.. 3 moisturizer and 1 perfume only, the last round i borong more leh, haha.. hehe, yeah, i like perfume lah, especially those fresh and light scent (hate those fruity, sweet, flowery, powdery, strong masculine type) and also the bottles..

yeah, sometimes if i notice the perfume like 用極都用不完, i get kind of impatient and want to finish it faster (so that i can use a new bottle).. so i'll spray on clothes lah, and that also explain why i seldom buy large bottle.. i usually go for the small one so that i can finish faster and change to another perfume.. and you are right for the brands, haha, so pandai lah~~ :)

yes, life is too short!! just go with what you think you like, sometimes the more you think the more problem you are giving to yourself, things have to be instinctive at times.. haha, 死就死 lah, 買了才算 lah, i think these are not necessarily bad thoughts you know?? :)

Keep that in mind, we'll be happy always and not grumpy at all...

    3. Life is short, so don't "ham pok" - torture our life right? Spend something we fancy and we like... definitely will make the happiest person in the world. Hehehe...

But there is a limit lar...don't spend until you become broke. Some people is going to broke also want to buy luxury stuffs..then this is not right lor. it is hard to judge a person when it talks about MONEY. OK not so serious lar...just an elaboration what I taught from my mind! Come back to your topic....here; your topic is about spending something we love and make your life feels good....

    4. In the office we often talk about Tesco and Giant offer things... "Hey you know Nescafe is RMXX.XX only some more got free 5 packets inside... You know Dynamo is only RMXX.XX who wants?..... " This always happen all the time... when things are cheap they will keep going to restock and restock it at home...

Sometimes I think back, do they really doing a saving here? or keep and save something before the rain comes? I'm not sure... those stuff got expiry dates leh...if buying in bulk in cheap but we must understand how fast is our turnover. If we use it fast, I don't mind buying more with lesser $$$. But if is the other way round, they better keep the money than buying...it will become a waste of money at the end the things and goods are near the expiry dates!!!

Big city warehouse sales are far much better... My son will go crazy if got chance to go Mattel warehouse sales.

    8. Perfume, cosmetics and so on also got expriy date leh...don;t play play ya... But must choose before you buy ok...Don't think is cheap and just grab it and never check nothing at all..

If you don't know the expiry date...I'll check the manufacturing date. Usually can last up to 5yrs gua. As long as the smell won't turn out badly, the colour doesn't get darker or turn yellowish or the liquid form is not thickening....then should be fine.

    9. One product I keep stock until now is my childen milk powder... definitely will finish...so when it is cheap I will buy extra to keep stock.

If the items or products are cheaper by a few dollars...but when comes to think of the transport, petrol and time just to get the things from there also not worth it lar right? Unless if you're going to get more than that....

    10. haha, have to depend on what you are spending on lah.. spending on something you like and worthwhile sure happy, but spending on things that are not necessary and forced to pay then sure unhappy and lots of complaints lah.. but then of course, more generally, if spend on buying things then don't go and think again and again and regret for spending lor..

errr, ladies perfume i don't know one woh, cos i don't use them hahaha!!! but then yeah, we got same taste lah, we use that YOLO perfume and we don't like fruity, sweety, flowery smell.. i am more to those fresh and light ones.. but then this warehouse sales is one day only, and the next one will be either end of the year or next year.. i also no idea lah, depends on how much stock they want to dispose off gua.. but i know there's another perfume warehouse sales which is more often like once a month.. maybe i can let you know that one.. that one is RM150 flat for all types of perfume, slightly more expensive than this one i went..

and very true lah, we spend within our ability.. i of course use my credit card to pay, but then i never hutang my credit card and always pay the full amount one.. the interest on credit card is so high, don't want to let the bank earn my money!! haha.. though i will be crazy but then still rational and spend within my budget and limits lor..

no idea about the expiration of the skincare and perfume, but i just googled they do have recommendation for how long the product can last after opening.. usually it's 12M from open the jar, so i think it's safe lah, one year sure habis already lah.. :p

  25. Normally is 2~3 years, if not old stock then wont be on sale lah!
    我曾经很喜欢买香水,不过已经很久没有买了,价钱问题。
    用了就会想一直用下去,现在都投资在护肤品上,没办法,还是脸重要些啊~
