2014.02.25 | 有屁就放

[Volume 9 Issue 2, #1864]
when i commute in LRT, i don't usually sit unless the train is really empty, because... so there is this spot i rather love to squeeze in because... while i admit i love this spot, i must confess i sometimes committed sin too!! and you are trying to gossip what.. imagine the person sitting next to this spot, his or her nose is probably at the same level as my "hump".. and so there are times that the bifido-bacteria (i consumed in my daily yoghurt diet) in my stomach perspire too much and i couldn't help.. i really felt guilty when i see the poor passenger covers his or her nose immediately, the innocent face trying to find out the source of the stinky smell yet has no proof to do anything!! haha, sorry but i just have to pretend nothing happened, though i may want to laugh i still feel guilty for doing so!! but one cannot control farting, it's something very natural right?? :D

  2. The times that I take lrt, I would prefer to sit but if too many people then stand lo. Also at your spot there. My reason is pick pockets. That place is kira as safest la. If in the middle then hv to think about bag n all four sides. Whereby if at your spot I just hv to jaga front.

    1. Which's why I always have to grab my bag very tight and have to be aware all the time!!! =[

    2. Those days when I took the LRT, I always made sure I took a sling bag that day.. Sling in front, and hug tight tight in front of me lor..

I don't take tote bag or hand bag which I have to carry by hand.. Put on shoulders also dangerous and I don't feel so secure.. Sling bag is the best!

      Delete
    3. in front also they can cut the bag at the bottom if too many people. Very takut de. Then also have to protect the bum bum from kena raba leh LOL

    4. LRT better. Last time I took LRT no kena raba but if take bus, will kena. LOL

  3. Another reason why I like your spot is that if I stand in front of the seat, I would be too ketot to hold the strap. Arms very tiring leh hanging like that. Hard to balance. Nnt if train turn I might fall . How embrassing would that be. Hv to korek lubang n hide.

    1. I don't like to hold the straps too.. Like not secured.. Maybe I'm weak and dunno how to hold tight tight kot.. But really, I hated holding the straps.. I always feel when the LRT moves, the straps will move too..

Many many donkey years ago, I pernah kena.. I took a mini bus (those pink colour one, without aircond, that was before they changed to Intrakota, remember?).. When I got up the mini bus, I held on to the strap (standing of course).. I told myself hold on tightly coz the bus will move anytime, don't memalukan diri).. So I was holding very very tightly.. When the bus moved, well, still I moved backward and forward like wana fall down like that.. Still malu lor..

So I hate to hold straps ever since..

    2. I would hold the metal bars that hold the straps instead as I found some straps to be dirty with perhaps some sticky mucus!!! Bluek! Who knows they have germs and later I might rub my eyes!!!

    3. aiyo...anay so tall can reach the me ketot like me htal bar at the top la. orang how to reach leh....yucks....ya lor those straps so dirty

    4. People like my height 148...always hard to reach, just can hold something lower only!!! >.<

    3. Alrite, now I am imagining things.. I don’t think SK will rub his thighs against the poles even if he’s having wild thoughts that time, coz, in the first place:
      1) How to have wild thoughts when the LRT is moving and the place is basically smelly with people’s ketiak smell, fart smell, “chau harm yue” (smelly salted fish) underwear/pants smell?
      2) Even if he’s having wild thoughts that time, maybe he can just hump the poles instead of rubbing against it, like a cat.. Coz SK looks more sexy by humping.. Like the Black Eyed Peas song “My hump, my hump my hump my hump”, kekekeke..

Ala, you know SK ka nada kelas, where will rub against the poles one.. Hump more hi class la, sexy ma, keke..

Well, nothing’s impossible.. Justnow I said I don’t think SK will have wild thought while riding in the LRT.. I take back my words.. Coz after some thoughts, I’m thinking it’s possible also.. When there’s a lenglui inside the LRT, possibly standing next to or near that area, then maybe SK fantasize about her kot.. LOL~

  5. But even if got plc to sit whn there r a lot of passenger I will b uncomfortable. Coz if the ine standing in front of me is male I dunno where to look. If look in front then he might think I am looking at his ahem ahem

Yea yea yea...me very auntie i know :p

    3. I wont take out book to read lor.. Mafan dou.. Like you said, after read have to put back.. So mafan la..

Imagine you are holding a tote bag.. Put on shoulder.. Standing somemore.. Then after finished reading, have to put back into the bag.. Some bags can just slit open the zip and throw inside.. But what if the bag is tight and small, have to "sai sum" open the zip and put inside?

You know la, ladies bag macam macam design ada.. I would prefer a big giant shoulder bag, then just throw everything inside.. balik rumah or sampai destination baru arrange nice nice lor..

    2. Ooohh, I would choose your spot too when I take LRT, but not always I will get that place la.. I never think so much like you like need to offer that place for somebody else or what..

My reason is simple.. No need to be sandwiched between the crowds and just get up, stay near, and get down.. That’s all.. That spot is the nearest to the exit, so it’s easier lor, no need to “pik” with people.. Senang..

      Delete
    3. Oh yes, talking about the person sitting down at the seat next to your spot, well, you are saying that your butt smelly izzit? Kekekeke..

After a whole day at work, your underwear also got “harm yue” (salted fish) smell liao, so when the person sitting nex to your spot closes his/her nose, then means your underwear/pants got “harm yue” smell lor, kekeke..

Wait, or maybe it was a fart you are talking about.. Eh, if it was a fart, I am sure you will try to hold kua.. If you let it out, kesian the “victim” lor.. I think you also malu wana face the “victim” coz if it’s only you at the spot, then very obvious it’s you liao wor.. But if there are a few passengers at your spot, then still ok, can blame others, keke..

    4. You were on MC yesterday for being giddy and feverish yet you could spam in fullest swing today. What ubat you makan?

i think maybe he meant passing gas kot? also not sure...so i put as ahem ahem lo

But then not viable la Anay to take LRT KTM coz the station not strategically located. some sooo far away. U just see the KTM sg buloh and the proposed MRT station. So far away. Jalan kaki tak sampai unless you are Lina la. Hv to take bus or taxi if take taxi will kena flat rate. End up drive is faster and similar cost leh.

At least better dressed people and sweet smelling people ride them during office hours with good air conditioning system unlike ours here!! Our air con is warm during packed hours and we could breathe all the sweaty armpits & B.O. to clear any nose blocks! Ewwwwwww!!! bluek!

  8. Morning!!! Morning!!! Usually I'll stand, only sit when I was very tired, like my last Singapore trip, I got to meet up my friend at a specific station, as I was so tired after the airshow with my whole face black and red, even some of the passenger can noticed that......!!! =.=!!! that time was around 7 something so no doubt it, it should be very pack, don't have expect any empty spot to sit, so I just remain standing lo, but I was too tired didn't hold on anything so once the train stops I almost fell down, luckily a lady saw me, she asked her brother (I think) to give his seat to me...(so sweet of them, hehe!!!)

    1. I think everywhere in the world, their subway trains would just be the same packed capacity like sardines during rush hours! Otherwise they would not build ghost trains with empty seats! Long ago, I had already tried the subways in Manhattan and Queens in NYC during the 90s. They were horrible and scary experience to ride at night when their trains passed the notorious areas in East New York City and the likes in Harlem, Brooklyn and Bronx! I still get goose bumps thinking of them. I don't think there are similar areas like that in other parts of the world where subways ply.

Singapore is a very safe and lovely city!

  14. If your fart is that smelly, you have a problem. Constipation perhaps - will need to eat more veg, more fibre!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies

    1. It is not because of constipation.

Farts are caused by trapped air, which can come from many sources. Some of it is air that we have swallowed while chewing or drinking. Some air is caused by gas seeping into our intestines from our blood, and some gas is produced by chemical reactions in our intestines or bacteria living in our guts.

Please don’t hold farting, it is bad for the health. It is just like holding urine and shit, it will make you really uncomfortable. If you hold your fart, you will end up fart in your dream. Muahahah! Then, your dream smells badly

    2. Nice explanation there Yannie! I think I've read about it too!

I know it's not good to hold farting, but for me, I'll try to hold it if I'm in a quiet place, I just feel it's not good, haha xD
Even in my room, if someone is there with me, I'll go to the bathroom to fart, kakaka xDD

  17. Good afternoon, SK. For your information, I fart a lot too. I love eating sweet potatoes, so I will fart especially when I move vigorously, but you stand still also will fart one eh! Some more, you hide your buttock inside the wall of the LRT, and yet you still can fart like nobody business. Kesienlah the passenger sits near you.
By the way, I am lazy bum, I love to sit whenever there are seats. May be my legs are long, I can’t stand standing for too long. My legs would get tired easily. Anyway, how come your fart is so smelly, until the person who smelt it would cover nose. Adoi ! What you ate, SK? Your fart must be the silence one, that is why so smelly. Some people said, “响屁不臭, 臭屁不响” . I hope your fart isn’t loud and yet smelly. Heheheh!

But come to think of it, it's your birthday today of course you must write something in your blog la right? So any celebrations today/tonight with your white Knight and princesses?
Haha yea, I love potatoes too! And also garlic! And it's normal to fart after eating these kinda food. But sometimes the fart is not smelly, just 'angin' only. I believe it just depends on what food you ate that determine whether the fart is smelly or not!
But SK, if everytime your fart smells terribly, then I guess better go for a check up? Hehe... Or may be your digestion system is so good that it expel everything from inside? =_=

As for 响屁不臭, 臭屁不响, I've heard of it too! But unfortunately, it's not like that everytime... LOL!

Our beautiful lake garden turns into a desert now, sigh! I wonder when will it rains? Like a good heavy rain!
I heard there're water disruption almost everywhere? Well, same here in Taiping, few areas affected, including my mum's place (last 2 weeks), luckily it wasn't too long, probably a day like that (But that also already is very inconvenient!)
Water disruption at this kinda weather really drive people crazy la!

    1. Ok back to your topic today, interesting smelly topic! xD
Of course farting is something very natural, who doesn't fart right? My Aden also fart a lot, and whenever he farts, we will look around pretending to ask '谁放屁?' Then he will smile cheekily, like a bit paiseh like that, haha xD Then if it's not him who fart, say my hubby farted, then Aden will come point to his daddy's butt, I think he's trying to show us we fart from our butt, LOL!
A few times, Aden farted while sitting in water tub during bath time, can see got bubbles floated from underneath, haha, cute! :p

      Delete
    2. Though farting is normal, but I believe it's something we can 'control'. I don't know about you guys but for me, I'll feel paiseh to fart in public. It depends on what kinda situation la, say for instance if I'm walking on a street with people/noise around then I will just let the wind out, cause no one will hear/know ma!
But if it's somewhere quiet or somewhere with closed space, like say during my yoga lesson, I'll try my best to hold the gas , though I know it's not good la, but I just feel it's not nice to fart in situation like that, cause people will know it's you, and kesian them have to smell the fart. I myself don't wanna be that person who smells people's gas so I try not to do the same to others lo!
Guess I am just being considerate and 保持我的好形象!LOLOL! xD

But then again, like you said, farting is natural and cannot be controlled..... Haih, quite confusing ho? :p

      Delete
    3. I know besides kids, elderly also cannot control farting. My uncle is one example. He always fart just like that regardless of where/who is there, I guess sometimes it's not smelly la but then it is very loud! Everytime he farted he'll just act nothing (like you lo :p) and continue to do his own thing, though sometimes it's not good to do that but since he is the 长辈, and also thinking about his age, plus I know this is his 'pattern', I'll just act like nothing also lo....

Anyway, I think our gas shouldn't be smelly every time, no? Sometimes it's just 'angin'.

      Delete
    4. In your case, farting in LRT lagi cham! Cause no ventilation, haha xD Kesian the people who is near you, have to suffer from 'air pollution' for a while, LOL!
That spot you like to squeeze in, it used to be my favorite spot too! I guess many people would like to stand there, cause it's near to the exit, and got the handle and glass window there to stop us from being fall down, so our two hands are totally free, can play with phone already.
I used to take LRT very frequently last time, when I was studying in UM. As far as I can remember, I chose to stand most of the times, though there were empty seats available. Reason being is simple, I don't wanna get blocked by people later, I can just move freely when it's my station to go. Another reason is, to burn fats xD So I chose to stand, rather than sit.
Of course, it I am too tired, I won't hesitate to sit. Just like when I was in Bangkok that day, when I entered the train I directly go sit, cause I had a terrible backache and my legs were so painful due to excessive walking xD

Anyway, I guess I won't have much chances to take LRT/public transportation now already ;)

    5. My FIL also farts like it's a normal thing in the house.. Actually not only in the house.. Even in restaurants, in the car (eeewww, yep, in the car) and also in other people's house.. After he farts, he just acts like it's nothing (actually, I don't think it's act, it's memang nothing to him), and continues doing his thing...

And the weird thing is, people around him like my MIL or sister in law also didnt show any "farn ying" or what.. Like a norm liao.. They didn't say "eeeyer, why you fart so loud", or "eeeyer, your fart so smelly".. They also continue doing their thing wor..

Kesian in the car if he farts.. Oops, typo error.. Actually is kesian to other passengers if he farts in the car.. Then I dunno whether to laugh or cry if I'm inside the car, keke..
