14.02.2012 | 問情人節

[Volume 7 Issue 2, #1324]
first of all i'd like to clarify that this sissy picture i posted today, is definitely not my style!! but seeing today's valentine's day, i'll just post something like this for an exception.. wishing everyone a happy valentine's day, couples get enhanced relationships and singles get a perfect match soon!! ok, done with the formality, and now i shall ask.. why must we give flowers on v-day?? why must we give chocolates on v-day?? why must we have candlelight dinners on v-day?? anyone can answer this??!! (=.=)

  12. 3) Most of the restaurant/cafe are fully booked on this day and reservations need to be made advance, like 1 month ahead - wah, I pay so much for a candle-light dinner, only to be shared with (probably) 20 over couples in the same restaurant. Like this where got romantic?

  30. I wouldn't say no to a nice dinner, but I'll opt for something private and not eat at one of those restaurants that will go all out for Valentine's Day.

Favourite option for me - in-room dining at a nice hotel. ;)

  33. The big winners here in all this spending are the florists, cake shops, gift shops, hotels, jewellers, etc. Probably ad agencies too. Dunno.

Everyday should be Valentine's Day but it's still good to set aside a day to show love as some guys being what they are, don't know how to show love on other days, probably because they take things too much for granted. You think?

    ReplyDelete

    1. I totally agree. We should celebrate love and all things everyday but it's also nice to have special days for them.

Anyway... my valentines day is not happy at all because i had a very cold one and no dates at all..;.. sigh

    ReplyDelete
  57. As for the questions,, i think the reason why they give flowers in v-day maybe because a red rose symbolizes love, maybe its because girls are supposed to like flowers, or maybe it's because flowers will show their romantic side

    ReplyDelete
  58. on the other hand, chocolates symbolizes a guy's sweetness...
Dinner with Candlelight is more like a dinner, usually intended to be romantic, in which the lighting is limited to candles. Lowering the lighting in this manner helps to make the atmosphere more relaxed and each of the couple can focus on each other
