[#1245] i was at the post office in KLCC on saturday morning to send a parcel, call me impatient but i really cannot stand their slow and inefficient service..
click the numbers to read in details what had actually happened:
i was like WTF!!! are those so-called multi-purpose staffs so capable that they are not able to help serve customers who just want stamps and send parcels?? and why was such an incompetent staff being placed at the counter to be responsible in serving (at that moment) all customers in the office?? if i were to be made waiting for another 5 minutes, i'll yell to see the manager!! pos mariah-shia~~

  2. Honestly I hate going to post offices.... Same reasons! Slow and crazy staff serving us.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Luckily they have air con, comfy red sofa and numbers to queue, unlike years ago when there were only fans, no numbers or chairs but humidity and heat. That made customers boil easily.

    ReplyDelete
  4. So Thambee sent me a parcel is it? I shall wait. I hope it is not muruku again. Last time you sent muruku and they were crumpled into tiny bits till I used a spoon to eat them! Lol

    ReplyDelete
  5. me experience with POS Marahsia in Curve was pleasant. their service was good and the queue was.. well practically non-existent. took a number and thought since there are still 40 in the line, i headed out to get some drinks. but walah. came back in half an hour and i missed my number. -.-

    ReplyDelete
  6. Mid Valley ones are good, most of the time. Efficient and pleasant people there :)

    ReplyDelete
  7. But when I sent parcels overseas, they keep mistaking me as someone who cannot understand Malay. Keep on stuttering English to me. Sheesh!

    ReplyDelete
  8. I actually prefer to go to Post Office at MidValley than deal with the sour faces of staff at bank counters.

    ReplyDelete
  9. and they work after hours too! Still can buy stamps at 9.00pm

    ReplyDelete
  10. Last time got the stamps & registered stickers vending machine. Cannot find them anymore now. :(

    ReplyDelete
  11. Wah, tht was slothering slow mo... as their time were precious, while ours are not!TSK TSK!=_=

    ReplyDelete
  12. here in Ipoh is fine. I don't hv to wait that long.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Have had this experience many many times already... especially at the gomen/so-called privatized sector. Really frustrated looking at the way they work.

    ReplyDelete
  14. That's the "tak apa" attitude. Taking their own sweet time to process an application or attend to the customer.

    ReplyDelete
  15. But pity the trainee staff too. Maybe she was placed at the counter with zero training. Her superior just threw her into the ocean and expect her to swim on her own.

Happened to be your bad day to be served by a noobie.

    ReplyDelete
  16. her training starts with SK as the first customer maybe. hehe.. so u had to tolerate all the 'dumbo' moments..

i love clicking ur numbers just to read.. giving some suspense feel to this post :D

    ReplyDelete
  17. i think we have lots of that here in our county too haha

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  19. there are employees that do not have initiative in their work.. they are like robots waiting to for orders from their superior

    ReplyDelete
  20. well, good thing in my area, there is a small post office branch near my place and they are not really occupied by costumers so the process are really fast

    ReplyDelete
  21. though my only doubt is how fast the parcels will be delivered

    ReplyDelete
  22. oh and guess what, since i am an avid costumer, i always get discount whenever I send multiple letters or parcels.. haha

    ReplyDelete
  23. sorry for not visiting you lately.. (waaaaah I've said this twice this month huhu)

    ReplyDelete
  24. great, I can share your articles on twitter now...I don't know but this is my first time to see those sharing buttons in your blog haha or maybe I am not so observant that's why i failed to notice it

    ReplyDelete
  25. happy blogging SK and thank you for voting.

    ReplyDelete
  26. It happens here too, really hate it. And what pissed me off is, their 'tak apa apa' attitude, not friendly at all!

    ReplyDelete
  27. that is why i never like to go send parcels or letters or any kind in the post office.. i rather go courier but then of course, the rates are much much higher..

    ReplyDelete
  28. I only go to one here - the girls are so sweet and polite and so efficient...and best of all, so honest. I had a post about an incident there once. They even help you to stick the stamps and take your mail from you right away, stamp it and put inside the mailbag no need to take outside and drop in the letter box.

The ones at the electricity board bill collection centre also very nice. I guess small town people - not the same.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I know what you mean! But then, I guess not all post offices are like that.. I have also experienced those which are very helpful and efficient.. but these bad experiences are enough to give you a bad impression in general hor.. hmmpf

    ReplyDelete
  30. If tarak slow motion then no customer and the management saw might go and retrench them leh...hence the slow motion lo...haiz...am frus at them too la

    ReplyDelete
  31. I seldom go to Post Office, but their registered and pos laju, really laju one.

    ReplyDelete
  32. When I was trading on e-bay long time ago, I had to go to the post office in Kajang to send shipments to mostly US and Europe. What I did is to weight my parcel at home, calculate the cost of shipment before I stand in line so that I don't have to wait for them. They don't know their job, not even the one in charge. I am so glad I don't have to do that anymore. However, over the years, I think they have improved. The post office in I go to now have some efficient and friendly staff. At least, they know how to smile... LOL!

    ReplyDelete
  33. Think we are having "Posted Office" instead. They are mainly serving multi purpose bills than rather selling stamps..

    ReplyDelete
  34. You must be having lots of hard time with time waiting for LRTs, waiting to send parcel..betul betul frustrated.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Bananaz seldom use the 'Posted' Office and if I do would make sure to bring a book coz the Q could be long. The question is how do we public make noises so that the top guns can hear the predicament we are currently facing. The staff are 'innocently' slow with that lackadaisical attitude coz of the top not doing a good job.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Just too bad luck was not on your side to have met a trainee who could be shivering seeing your angry bird oops I mean angry face all green like the Hulk with steam oozing out from your head. You must try to have empathy & compassion for that poor lady as she must have been praying very hard and silently thinking "mati lah ini kali customer banyak garang nanti termakan saya habis lah".

    ReplyDelete
  37. Hmm....bad luck huh? Hope your future visit will have some improvement :D

    ReplyDelete
  38. Malaysia Boleh! This is Malaysia and you gonna bear with it.

    ReplyDelete
  39. loooooooooooooooooong time din go to post office dy. so i'm not so sure about the happenings there! hahaha.

but those staff... tsk tsk tsk! if i were the boss, i'll terus pecat!

  41. you are so so so soooo patience... If i were there i have already dragged the manager out and told the manager off.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Recalling one incident at Tapah R&R was standing behind a Malay man at the coffee counter.
The man in front asked for 'nescafe' and the lady replied 'minum kah'?.

The man then jokingly replied 'tak kan nak buang tentu lah minum!!

Actually the coffee lady took a short cut as she wanted to ask whether 'to go or to stay'. 'Minum sini' is 'to stay' and 'Bungkus' is 'to go'.

    ReplyDelete
  43. And this happened at the branch at KLCC! Shocking!

    ReplyDelete
  44. hahaha... belum biasa lagi ke?

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  47. Luckily we have a mini pos office at one of the patrol station here.
Most of the time i go almost no need to wait long time. But if i go to the real pos office at the shoplot here, really pengsan i wait oh!

    ReplyDelete
  48. That's Mariahshia service, the snail mail. I use to step in 4.30pm on Sat at my neighbor hood post office to pay my bills cos by this time it's empty. One of the naughty lady will looks at my billing address & telling me your house 5 mins away, you cannot come early to pay? I look at her "post office closed at 5pm".
She look at me and give me the @#*x look. hahaha....

    ReplyDelete
  49. i have not encounter such services before with pos malaysia before though.

    ReplyDelete
  50. the one i constantly go to is at USJ 9 and usually no body is there because a lot of people hate driving through there! haha!

    ReplyDelete
  51. Why people hate driving through there? Well, because that street is populated by banks. so technically there will be more double parking than anything else :p.

    ReplyDelete
  52. i guess the trainee doesn't know what to do and is afraid of committing anything she doesn't want to end up that is wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  53. i have been a trainee before so technically i know. but they shouldn't put a trainee alone like that. usually there are trainers to guide them. but i guess that is malaysia for us :p.

    ReplyDelete
  54. LOL! You can't blame the trainee - she's new. But blame the post office - how come there's no one by her side to guide her?!!

    ReplyDelete
  55. Actually I also wonder how come the stamps and parcels counter so busy the other counters cant open up to help out? So silly!

    ReplyDelete
  56. So far my experiences at post office were all good. OK must take note never to go to this one in KLCC : D

    ReplyDelete
  57. depends on which one kua, some post offices are ok :)

    ReplyDelete
  58. haiyo . . . why the girl no chest 1! No guts to ask question, summore like cat and look towards to upper peson helplessly . . . .

macam Form 5 part timer only . . . my sister Form 4 already come out work as cashier for some boutique hehe

    ReplyDelete
  59. it is unlucky that you meet this kind of people, I mean tersempak those people which is NEW! hehe

    ReplyDelete
  60. the worst is the upper people is useless . . . more like you going into a free style training centre post office . . . wtf? hehe

    ReplyDelete
  61. 唔系feel inferior to speak to customers。

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  64. oh, that's really not good.. pretending to be busy and ignore the long queue while they are really idle.. tsk tsk tsk!!

    ReplyDelete
  65. well, maybe that's the trainee's first day on duty after her school, so she's a little nervous?? but then should be that inferior too, she need to speak up.. :)

    ReplyDelete
  66. anyway i think not all post offices are like that, maybe that's your bad luck, LOL.. well, got your parcel sent and that's it, don't put that in your heart :)

    ReplyDelete
  67. @ Twilight Man:
hey, long time no see Arumugam!! back to hometown hiding inside the jungle already?? well, Thambee rarely will go to the pos office, and most of the time Thambee won't have any issue but then this time it was really unpleasant with the slow and inefficient service.. hmmm, muruku?? Thambee hasn't even received those muffins Arumugam promised to bake and send by hands!! those muruku Thambee sent last time were really meant to be crumbs, so that Arumugam can sprinkle some on top of the cheesy curry mutton chapatti.. so they tasted good??

    @ Medie007:
haha, maybe that's the difference between a popular place and a more remote place?? errr, getting some drinks took you 30 minutes?? wow, i think that's a little to long right?? so you get another number and waited for how long??

    ReplyDelete
  68. @ lina:
err, MV is quite efficient but then since many people like to go there, it's always quite crowded and gotta wait for at least 15 minutes, somemore it's a small outlet and only 2 counters working.. haha!! maybe you look like a Filipino to that staff?? you can speak in Malay and give him a shock!! oh, if there is a vending machines for stamps, then that would be great.. i guess most probably not so welcoming because we do not know how much to pay for the postage..

    @ Alice Law:
errr, their time is always precious because they come to work and go back home on the dot and yet can only do so little things in a day!! haha.. :D

    ReplyDelete
  69. @ wenn:
hmmm, how saddening that is right?? somemore it's in KLCC, a place so many tourists to visit..

    @ yvonne:
haiz, i also feel sick to talk about those services they render, really disappointing and if possible i don't even want to go there if not necessary.. well, that trainee is with someone guiding her dedicatedly, but then still i think she's so incompetent and inconfident, she cannot perform any job on her own and always need to consult the colleague sitting there just to watch her..

    ReplyDelete
  70. @ Merryn:
well, i'm sure not her very first customer but perhaps the very first to show her an angry face because i've been waiting for so long for my turn.. errr, what do you mean clicking my numbers and suspense feel?? what numbers?? wrong channel?? haha :D

    @ bluedreamer27:
hmmm, i really do not like those who are lazy and just wait for luck to come to them.. it's just so inefficient and so not professional.. oh, good that you have a small post office near your house.. the one that i used to go has been closed down and i'll have to go somewhere further, and the nearest one is this one i went last saturday.. and what?? you got discounts for sending the parcels?? haha, that's interesting.. i never heard of getting discounts in post office, they have their standard fees right?? hey, those share and like buttons have been there for quite some time already, you are so not observant, hahaha~~

    ReplyDelete
  71. @ imyuyu:

    @ Hayley:
yes, and as if we were the one who should be serving them instead!! i really hate that, but i guess if you complain them, then they will be scared.. :)

    ReplyDelete
  72. @ reanaclaire:
but then just inevitable when you need to send something, especially overseas can't really afford courier lah.. just have to make sure you find a good post office lor~~ :D

    @ suituapui:
oh, then that is really what we called service!! i don't know why we are made to do some extra things.. since we were there in the post office, might as well they process the mail straight away right?? i like that, really, you should have suggested this to the big boss of pos malaysia..

    ReplyDelete
  73. @ iamthewitch:
of course i just meant that moment at that place, not all post office are that inefficient lah, haha.. that's why we said, one rotten egg out of a basket already make you perceived others as rotten.. correct??

    @ Small Kucing:
haiyoh, but then the problem is that, the whole post office is really empty, only one counter has queue but the other 4 counters are so free.. then why not the idle 4 take the initiative to serve if scared to be retrenched right??

    ReplyDelete
  74. @ Sheoh Yan:
haha, with pos laju i think the registered mail is no more laju lah.. that's why if you sent registered might as well do it normal lah..

    @ Quay Po Cooks:
oh, having to send shipments to US and Europe all the time using pos malaysia is indeed a painstaking experience, haha!! but still when you bring your shipment there, they would need to do all the weighing and calculation again.. but i do agree with you at a certain extent their level of service has improved, at least they have the queuing system and learnt how to smile~~ :p

    ReplyDelete
  75. @ Bananazஇ:
haha, Posted Office, i like that!! the past tense means their service is already outdated but yet they do not seek for improvement to move with the trend.. haha!! but i don't always go to the post office too, only once in a blue moon when i got something to be sent out.. else, i'd rather just get some stamps from news vendor and straight away post the mails into the mailbox, never go to a posted office is not necessary.. well, maybe she was inferior seeing my angry face, but then i really didn't show my angry face at all, maybe just a little of that impatience look.. but then i did not even yell at her seeing she is still a trainee, i know how anxious a trainee can get, but she is just too incompetent already, that was why i complained over here..

    @ mNhL:
yeah, just not too good luck in that saturday morning.. never even look forward to going back there also~~ :D

    ReplyDelete
  76. @ Jobless Girl:
well, i kind of given up already but still cannot bear with such inefficiency in service.. how?? @_@"

    @ kyh:
haha, you've not been to the post office for a long time?? well, then i have to say congratulations, at least you are less risky in getting a stroke because of being frustrated!! hehe..

    ReplyDelete
  77. @ bluesky:

    @ TZ:
haha, well, i still have to take care of my image, so i don't simply yell in the public~~ :D

    ReplyDelete
  78. @ Bananazஇ:
hahaha, that's exactly what happened.. the trainee ask what i want to do with the parcel, but i sense she actually mean how i would like to send that.. but then i just answer to her question, of course i came here to get this parcel sent off.. so she was shocked for a few seconds and rephrase her question again.. :p

    @ HappySurfer:
nothing worth a shock, it can just happen anywhere even in the HQ..

    ReplyDelete
  79. @ Casendra:

    ReplyDelete
  80. @ Chris Chia:

    @ Wai Kitt:
yeah, that's lucky of you.. the one i once used to go last time was closed down, so KLCC is the nearest and more convenient one for me.. but never have thot such lousy service from them..

    ReplyDelete
  81. @ Amelia's De-ssert:
hey, what kind of attitude that is?? it's just 4:30pm, another 30 minutes before she can leave on the dot!! what's wrong with that, i can even go there at 4:55pm and give her loads to do, that's customers right!! you are still open and that's your responsibility to serve.. if i were to hear that, she would be in trouble..

    @ ladyviral:
well, there were also very little people in that post office too.. just that all were queuing up at the same counter, while the other 4 counters are empty and idle, but just never offer to serve the customers at all!! that's so ridiculous.. hey, the trainee was not alone, instead, she has somebody sitting beside her watching and guiding her on every move she takes.. it's a dedicated mentor, and i still do no understand why she needs to ask everything and get permission to do anything?? she's too dependent, even on minor chores too, really not competent at all.. at least you being a trainee, i'm sure you were 1000 times better than her..

    ReplyDelete
  82. @ foongpc:
there's a dedicated mentor for her and he was just sitting side by side, not doing any other thing else but just to coach her.. yet, she's so incompetent and all she knows what to do is to ask without even want to think what's rational to do.. don't you find that incompetent and inefficient?? next time go to KLCC on a saturday morning and experience that, haha!! :D

    @ Isaac Tan:
yeah, of course i just meant that branch at that time only.. there are still other post offices that are very efficient, like the one in MV..

    ReplyDelete
  83. @ Kian Fai:
oh yeah, you totally understand the situation there!! give me five!! haha.. really like a Form 3 part timer, everything she'll ask before even put some effort to think.. i was already manning a Famous Amos stall in Lot 10 when i was Form 3, and throughout the two week holiday, i was doing so well don't even need much coaching also.. haiz, youngsters nowadays are really too pampered and not incompetent yeah??

    @ khengsiong:

    ReplyDelete

    @ victor:
hmmm, i think the trainee part is still acceptable since she's still new.. but those 4 other idling counters are really unacceptable!! just pretending to be busy but never take initiatives to clear the queue.. that is really not professional at all.. well, like you said, i know not all post offices are like that, maybe i was not in the good luck that day.. :)

    ReplyDelete
  85. wakakakaka... pos malaysia is the real SNAIL MAIL! XD

    Peace Out!
    The CleverMunkey

    ReplyDelete
  86. Yes I do get discounts from them haha
and yes they have standard fees too and for some reason they're not really applying it on my parcels.. maybe because our family is their long time costumers already (even before my grandpa) hehe

    ReplyDelete
  87. @ CleverMunkey ®:
haha, that is why there's a snail inside their logo, so matching with their service right?? :D

    @ Bluedreamer﹕
yeah, true also because they are the ones who verified the stamps so i think it's fine that they charge you less for the postage, haha!! wow, so you've been there long and the post office know every member of your family?? interesting.. :p
