sorry for another Bersih 3.0 post.. after the rally, i became active in facebook again these couple of days.. because in order to get the frankest facts, we just have to get into social network and see insider updates through clips/photo/writings from those who were really involved.. local mainstream media are so well know for their skillful censorship, often reporting only superficial incidents to confused the audience, hence i never even given them a d*mn.. ■ sharing some of my facebook updates below |

Happy Monday morning everyone!
ReplyDeleteGood morning, Lina.
DeleteFirst Lady is till the first!! impressive~~
DeleteI also spent a lot of time on FB yesterday, reading updates from FB friends on the event.
ReplyDeleteyeah, i think we can get instant updates from media all over the world at our fingertips on facebook.. more importantly, TRUE reporting..
DeleteI got my updates from FB too. Cannot trust the TV and newspapers.
DeleteGetting first hand news from the people who went to the rally is more reliable.
DeleteBut must also know how to filter the news, as some people just simply 'add salt to the wound'.
And reading how some simply do not understand the reason we rally.
ReplyDeleteAll they were bitching about was how shameful it is to the world to see us rallying.
What's so shameful about getting our voices across? @.@
although it's a peaceful rally, i still reserved a bit and dare not go to the frontline.. while i thought they learnt from the previous mistake, still they are using violence and brutality against the dispersing people!!
DeleteSome areas weren't that peaceful, from what I read.
DeleteMany reported about the overturned police car and the injured ones.
Good morning everyone! Good Morning First Lady Lina! I am just back here.
ReplyDeleteGood morning, TM.
DeleteMorning! Morning! Morning!
Deletelong time no see Anay, where have you been?? just came back from Bersih 3.0??
DeleteThmabee you went to the streets and took all those photos yourself?
ReplyDeleteyes, Thambee was there to witness Bersih 3.0!! everyone who can make it should have gone to support..
DeleteI also saw some photos and videos my sister posted from her Bersih event in London. So many Malaysians and foreigners were there.
ReplyDeletethis Bersih rally is all around the globe.. there are around 35 cities doing that!! everywhere is so peaceful except KL itself..
DeleteIt worries the govt now about the citizens' vote choices later on.
ReplyDeletewell, still.. they are still THAT government and nothing has changed better!!
DeleteWill they have one more rally before GE13?
ReplyDeletei don't think so there will be any more.. cannot always have Bersih rally lah..
DeleteMaybe next one should name it "Belum Bersih" lagi..
ReplyDeletewell, most probably this will be the last one i guess.. :)
DeleteLOL, Belum Bersih, Sedang Bersih, Tak Bersih... It's so hard to "bersih" them.
DeleteI'm thinking the same too, SK. I don't think there would be any Bersih rally in near future.
Next round, Thambee should go to sell anti-gas google masks and mini water pump guns to shoot them back! Muahahahahaha!
ReplyDeleteyeah, i think it's a good idea we use water pump guns as if it's Songkran right?? they have water cannons we have water guns, haha~~
DeleteEr, use water guns - does this mean we are "armed" and expose ourselves to the police team?
DeleteI would say it's a good cause.
ReplyDeleteyeah, i am actually proud of myself being there to support..
Deletebut all those involved should really understand the objectives of the rally..
ReplyDeletei think most of the people know it's all about peaceful protest.. maybe only the minority troublemakers are defeating the purpose of the entire event..
Deleteit won't serve the purpose when if it goes overboard..
ReplyDeletevery true, a supposed to be peaceful rally turns bad in the end.. those troublemakers and provokers must be identified and punished..
Deletethis morning ..
ReplyDeleteall my colleague is sharing their experience ...
yeah, so many updates these few days on facebook.. but i think there are less things to see compared to Bershin 2.0 huh??
DeleteI noticed PDRM this time also posted their own videos on YouTube. Thanks for the heads-up, SK and for sharing that video on my site.
ReplyDeleteOf course, I'm aware of censored videos. That's why I haven't posted any of their videos. Still looking. The one you shared will be among those that I will post. Thanks again. If you have anymore good ones, pls let me know. The world needs to know.
yeah, i also noticed they have their own videos because they have setup several stations to capture videos.. but then you will notice what type of videos and photos they release, more superficial and trying to hide some truth behind..
Deletethere are two videos i've included at the bottom of this post, if you click on the "GO!!!" button..
Very tame affair here, around 50 people judging from the photos posted by friends on Facebook. Papers say over 600...
ReplyDeletehaha, maybe your friend just went to the spot with less people so he can breath clean air!! anyway, many or less, more importantly is the peaceful participation..
DeleteOh, heard many hurts during the event. Tht's pretty sad...
ReplyDeletebut it's less compared to Bersih 2.0, at least this time round they didn't start the violence right from the beginning..
DeleteI was following the numerous updates too, mostly via twitter where a few of my friends were there in kl. I went back Penang during the weekend though. Glad to hear my friend's safe, but sad to hear about the unfortunate police car incident
ReplyDeletedid you join the assembly in penang?? well, kudos to all the people who attended to make it a peaceful assembly.. but too bad, things turn bad towards the end after the leader announce dismissal..
Deletemaybe next time I should join in if there's one..
ReplyDeletei guess there will hardly be the next one already.. :)
Deletewhat's the outcome after the rally?
ReplyDeletenope, there wasn't any outcome expected.. the rally is just to hope that the government will change to deploy a cleaner and fairer electorial process..
Deletedo u think if they really care?
ReplyDeletewell.. we all know the answers already, yet we still hope to be able to do something by all the assemblies..
DeleteI hope the objectives has been achieved.
ReplyDeleteyes, the objectives has been achieved as announced by the Bersih leaders at around 2:30pm.. that is to gather 250,000 people to sit peacefully to protest..
Deletesaw all your updates
ReplyDeleteRather geram at the post on people posing at the rally. Haiz....
ReplyDeletesad case, full of fake news and spread out different story again . . . wew I am sad haha
ReplyDeleteReally ike "boh Kang Jor"(No work)...people tengah seriously fighting for something, these people pulak sibuk wanna glammer.
ReplyDeleteReal vomit blood at them
ReplyDeleteexample, 100 people spreading news on Facebook. 20 of the spread the true 1, another 20 spread the half true half blur 1, 40 is spreading the news that is true but not very true and last 20 spread the unsure news zzz wew
ReplyDeleteI agree there's a lot of those telling fake story to anger the people, sad case.... no pure bersih anymore.
DeleteExample I heard: Police car ramp on 2 person and people trying to save them by turning the car around.
ReplyDeleteI see what people heard: Police car ramp on sogo and people overturn the car and hit on 2 person (LOL)
false news: The car hit on a woman and no body death on the scene (-_-)
I heard about that story too, don't know who to believe.
Deletethen I better dun judge the news sigh . . .
ReplyDeleteI know there is some police mask themselves as normal people and got yellow mark on hand or green mark on neck zzz this is what people spam the most today
i dont know whether you got post about children at the rally or not. Today saw some people posting about children at the rally and how the police is supposed to be blamed for tear gas.
ReplyDeleteYes, Police should not tear gas people as there are old and children there. The parents may have wanted to educate their children but it is expected the rally to turn nasty, they should refrain from bringing the children. ot good to put the children at risk
Tsk, tsk, some ppl purposely bring the young ones as 'human shield', which I personally think this act is inhuman.
Deletejust dun feel like spamming on facebook or twitter because of too many bersih news . . . . I feel sad, thats it haha
ReplyDeletethe best thing that entertain me the most today.
ReplyDeletePolis got brainwashed, say that the new gov. will sack all the polis and train new polis. This is what B and U how train and brainwash the police.
I dun think new gov. will be so free and sack the polices . . . and train new 1 lol
they should not shut down the LRT station . . . because some of my friend really rushing and they shut down the station lol . . .
ReplyDeletei really feel sad that our police acted this way...
ReplyDeleteseriously ..
I feel that this Bersih did not do much....
whatever we did.. it all been all covered up......
where is the justice ?
we depend on the police to keep us safe .. but how true is it?
it sounds great..I wasn't expecting it to be so big.
ReplyDeletebrilliant sharing. The people need to know what exactly happened beyond what mainstream media is reporting and to judge for themselves what needs to be done in this coming elections.
ReplyDeleteEverywhere is about Bersih! Even in Melbourne my friend went to participate too
These few days, my FB wall is so yellow.
