Morning, SK! Morning, everybody! Monday, Monday...so good to me!!! Have a nice day and a great week ahead, one and all.
ReplyDeleteGood afternoon, Mayor of Sibu! You are always early, as usual. I sometimes see you posting comments before 6AM!! I'm still snooring, drooling over sexy macho handsome guys in my dream at that time~
DeleteMonday, Monday... so blue to me!!!
Oh dear! You're stalking me? Muahahahahaha!!!!
DeleteSo where's the pasta? Cooked already? Nice or not? Come...come...post the photo, quick.
ReplyDeletestp...what about the salt baked chicken premix elin sent you? cooked already ka? That one very nice leh but dont be like me ah...make sure buy kampung chicken. Taste nicer.
Deleteover here i found one more premix. Herbal chicken. masak liao. the "soup" taste really like chicken essence
Missus cooked kampung chicken two days ago, ginseng soup...did not use the premix... Dunno when she will cook that. Maybe last time, she tried - disaster so doesn't want to cook anymore.
DeleteLet us see your cooking and plating skills, see how nice... Hehehehehe!!!!
ReplyDeleteSK is talking about rice and rice and more rice in his post today, but you're demanding for a pasta post? Hehehehe, I wanted to see his review on the instant pasta he received from STP, too~
DeleteI know many friends who went to UK and came back are darn good in cooking pasta. But then, they are so lazy to cook once they reached home!
Seeing is believing...so he will just have to cook and show us, not only pay lip service...criticise other people's cooking left right and centre. Hehehehehe!!!! As they say, empty vessels make the most sound. LOL!!!
DeleteI don't mind rice...depending on what I have to go with it...and I like bryani and all those kinds of rice...and my own fried rice. Chicken rice...depends on the shop, some nice...some not really.
ReplyDeleteya betul tu....some chciken tough . ayam tua or what. and also like what HS said la...the dipping also important.
DeleteBryani also depend on some shop ....some put too much water...the rice all "ketul-ketul" not nice.
Oooo...my bryani today, very nice - so wangi, so harum...see my post tomorrow. RM6, HUGE serving with chicken curry, drumstick some more. Hehehehe!!!!
DeleteI don't mind having rice everyday, I can have rice daily. I'm a rice barrel. Ask me to go noodles mode for a week and I'll go crazy, would rather starve to death >.<
DeleteNoodles for breakfast only for me... Only sometimes, will have for lunch or dinner...otherwise, I will have rice. Square balanced meals - very important!
DeleteBriyani in Bangsar would cost more than double what you pay, STP! @.@
DeleteI know. Same in Penang, nothing less than RM10, served in claypot...gaya memang ada!
DeleteMor....oops!!! She has disappeared as quickly as she came! LOL!!!!
ReplyDeleteThey say noodles are more fattening than rice. I stopped eating noodles once...and my waistline shrank by some 4 inches...but after a month or two, once the body got used to that kind of diet, I started expanding again - without the noodles...so I decided that I might as well go back and eat noodles again, what the heck!
ReplyDeleteI didn't know that noodles are fattening! It must be that Kampua Mee that fattens the people!
DeleteI don't mind fresh noodles like kueh teow and mee but definitely not dried noodles such as Maggi.
DeleteOf course Kampua Mee is fattening, mee hun is not fattening at all. Mee Hun has the less calories compared to other noodles, like Koeh Teow and yellow noodle. So, I always opt for mee hun or mee sua when I take noodles.
DeleteYup! Mihun, kway teow - rice-based noodles...not as fattening as noodles made from wheat flour.
Delete...and kampua mee is worse as they use pork lard....like Penang char kway teow - can get to eat the fat crusts in it some more. So unhealthy...but soooo nice! LOL!!!
DeleteWenn, can make home made Pan Mee la. That one very fresh and easy.
DeleteOoo mihun less fattening ah? Tarak tau but i biasa preferred mihun than yellow noodles. Only recent years did i start liking Keoy teow.
But then certain keoy teow have strange taste...like chemical or bitter taste. That one i duno what they put in it. Dont like to eat that
Muhahahahahaha....i baru makan CKT for breakfast yesterday....super yummy.......enough wok hei ,..see hum...lap cheong..prawns(not that fresh yesterday) and lot of crunchy lard. Fuiyoh...sedap nak gila :p
Deleteaiyo you all complaining this and that..
Deletelike meow le ..
turn to meow cow.. eat grass only..
now so young and you complaint this and that..
later when you grow old and you can't eat .. then baru tahu.
Me old leh...and I eat everything! Yalor...don't want to eat now, wait till when to eat... Soon, cannot eat liao lor....
DeleteThe most unhealthy food is usually the most sinfully delicious one! Noodle is fattening??! I'm surprised~
DeletePeople usually tell me that rice has very high calories, compares to noodles. Now you are saying the opposite and I can eat my rice without worries :D
Rice also not so good, can raise your sugar level. Not for diabetics...and pulut is even worse.
DeleteYvonne,
DeleteDon't eat those yellow noodles lah...
Rice - eat brown rice is good.
But for me... haiyoh. Just makan saja lah. Just be moderate in everything.
So darn troublesome to think what can eat and what cannot. kekeke
True! True! Just eat...and remember, moderation is the key!
DeleteI see spring onions on top of your rice... I thought you hate spring onions?
ReplyDeleteSpring onions are my favorite. I always love those veggies they use to add spice or decorate the dish.
DeleteYalor...just drop a bit into plain clear soup and its fragrance will bring it to a whole new level! Very nice!
Deletehahaha...maybe SK saja put on top of it for effect gua...make the rice look more "photogetic " :p
Deleteno wonder yan so clever ..
Deleteeat also those "chung" so now become chung ming. kakakaka
Oh? I eat a lot too...no wonder so smart as well eh? Hehehehehehe!!!!
DeleteLOL! "Chung" for chung ming? I'll tell my kids that SP kor kor said must eat spring onions in order to pass their exam with flying colors. They are so particular about the greens on their noodles that they will spend minutes picking it up before start eating.
DeleteThis "chung" theory isn't very convincing la, SP. I ask my kids to eat more fish as this is a good source for brain.
I learn something new today. "Chung" is for Chung Ming eh! I love this spring onions very much. This spring onions usually used in those noondles for longevity (sau min). Long and un-cut spring onions, seldom anyone can swallow it. I can swallow down all. Didn't know i am so clever also, until SP told me.
DeleteEyew.....I will usually chop them fine to add to soup or other dishes.
DeleteGood morning everyone! The usual ladies boycotted SK's blog kah? They rather greet inside watsap with that Hamsap Chai.
ReplyDeleteYou know better, you're one of them Poor me, left out in the dark. Never mind, SK! Don't worry about those fair-weathered friends. I'm here for you...always! Hehehehehe!!!!!
DeleteCoz SK only appear in whatsapps mah...he forgotten to appear in his blog jor...sobs....
Deletestp come here is because of the monthly prize..
Deleteif no prize .. STP already say who is SK huh..
Muahahahaha! SP look through STP's intention (I was about to say so)!
DeleteMeow, we want more interaction with SK, hor? Visit here but find STP in the comment box most of the time. WHERE'S SK?? Sometimes I thought I come to the wrong house.
Where got? I'm so nice to SK. Sent him something even though no special reason, no prize to be won. Where to find good friend like me one? Right or not, SK?
DeleteI am also flexible in eating. I can avoid rice for many months!
ReplyDeleteI don't think I can avoid eating rice for months. At least three times a week can satisfy my liking for rice.
DeleteMe is "rice tong" one day no rice like tummy not full one leh. rasa tak sedap pulak.
Deletewell I am OK with rice..
Deleteit same goes to my wife side..
they cook a lot of dishes but very less rice..
they prefer to eat more vege than rice..
Ya...rice, no need to eat a lot. Can cause blood sugar to rise. Pulut, even worse!
DeleteGood Morning morning morning..To some 'fun tong' must have rice everyday. Bananaz can skip rice for days too.
ReplyDeleteI would love to have rice everyday but I don't mind even if I don't. Just go with the flow.
DeleteNow only I know so many people can live without rice, SK, bananaz, TM and myself.
DeleteOn the other hand, there are some who MUST have rice...every meal! My father is one.
Deleteme la...i have to have rice everyday....or at least 4-5 days in a week la. Else feel like not full at all eating noodles or eating meat
DeleteI must have meat. If dinner prawns and fish...by 9, already hungry...want to have supper liao.
DeleteI must have rice! If not daily, must have it alternate day! Don't mind whether it's plain rice or fried rice or chicken rice or any other flavour rice and my top favourite is nasi lemak! Ooo~ so sinful!
DeleteI like nasi lemak...and nasi kerabu...and nasi bryani. Not too crazy about nasi dagang as I'm not into ikan tongkol curry - has a strong smell that puts mu off.
DeleteI loooooooove nasi dagang.
DeleteSTP, how about freshwater fish? You eat or not? Or you cannot stand the smell also?
I'm ok with most fish...just tongkol. The meat also very coarse... Would rather have tenggiri for curry or assam.
DeleteHello STP. Meant to stay and chat but something cropped up, so had to leave.
ReplyDeleteJust like fried rice, chicken rice is a good all-time-alternative when you don't know what to order. The pak-chum chicken itself and the chilli play an important part besides the rice.
Chicken rice and fried rice are good option if we are fed up of economy rice.
ReplyDeleteGood morning, SK, STP, Bananaz, TM, Wenn, lina, Meow, Happy Surfer, Ah Hua, Hayley and all.
ReplyDeleteI had a very busy weekend, so I only report myself today.
Anyway, I found another similarity with SK. I can go without rice forever. If I really have to take rice, I prefer those fragrant rice like fried rice, nasi briyani, nasi tomatoes, nasi lemak and nasi planta.
Hi 5 again SK, I don't take rice at home too. If I take also I take one or 2 spoonful only. I feel guilty too if I take more than 2 spoonful of rice. But then, I still look the same forever. I still gain one or 2 kgs each year. Sigh.....
So kesian some people, suffer so much...all for the sake of beauty. I eat anything and everything! Hehehehehehehe!!!!
DeleteGood day, Yan
DeleteHmm...i think if biasa already then wont miss eating rice la. But people like me biasa eat rice already then say dont eat then very hard to quit lor. That's why cannot stay in ang moh country long. SUre kebuluran.
Yan, you dont eat rice since a kid or just when adult you refrain from consuming much rice?
I guess yan you must be very busy..
Deletedid not see you in the whatsapp..
so what you had been up to..
STP, every one has different priority and preference. Some people eat to live, some people live to eat.
DeleteI don't mind people say fugly or old. Bu then, when people say me putting on weight. I will cry buckets.
Meow, my parents hate seeing me on diet. They would feed me rice and rice only. I refrain from eating rice when I know what is called "slim an fit".
SP, I was in Ipoh 2 days. I went there in the morning and came back at noon. My April was there for Ping Pong Training. We will be going to Ipoh also this weekend, and next two weekends. This training is to prepare her for Tunas Muda Negara Ping Pong Tournament. She is representing Perak under 10 female.
So, morning rushed to Ipoh, came back took nap, then evening already. No time to go whatsapp. I still miss you all and want to kaypoh what you guys were on.
Hahahahahahaha!!!! Must remember not to say you look fat!!! Wah!!! So nice, long weekend...everyone went here and there. I just stayed at home, running nose. So kesian!
DeleteI wallop everything that is convenient and available.
DeleteBut to be moderate, I eat fruits for breakfast, very BIG portion of nasi campur for lunch and those "liat, mat salleh, multi-grain multi seed multi dunno what and die expensive" bread for dinner. But must go eat Mamak curry at least once a week. Hahaha!!!!
when I cook, there will be rice. If I don't cook, then we will have noodles. And my mum said she must have rice everyday otherwise she will feel uneasy the whole day.
DeleteEconomy rice is always my last choice, except I have no other option. I will go for noodles as my first option.
ReplyDeleteNot a fan of economy rice here either - cooking in bulk, not nice...oily and lots of msg.
ReplyDeletei dont need to have rice everyday too haha! i have a pretty cosmopolitan palate... i crave for noodles, pasta any other day! :D
ReplyDeleteYou're watching your figure too? Like those young ladies? Wink! Wink!
Deleteno... i dont hv to. i'm naturally slim! hahahah!
Deletejust that i dont hv that 'no eat rice will die' mentality wakakakaka!
Good afternoon HS and everyone! So early today ya :)
ReplyDeleteMmm....dies...chicken rice...now my tummy gru gru gru liao....have not had brekfast. Maybe tapau chicken rice later for lunch.
my side here chicken rice very cheap and give a lot of meat.
aiya, SK you are like my son la. Eat chicken rice only eat the rice. Next time dont waste money order chicken rice la. Just order the "yellow" rice and the kicap kau tim
Betul what HS said. the chili also important. Cili and the kicap not nice makes the whole thing taste bland.\
Economy rice now also not really "economy". The other day on shop in KL charge me RM6 for 3 dishes. 2 types of vege and one piece of white Yong Tau Foo! Grrrr...eat chicken rice also not that kek sum!
Me chapalang...depend on mood. sometimes eco rice and sometimes oodle and sometimes salad.
Last week i gila salad...went makan Ceaser salad at Chilis and Tony Roma. Like The Tony roma ones better.
STP, there is one economy rice in PJ that taste very good leh. Dont think they put much of msg coz afetr eat tarak thirsty. Their dishes not cook and leave there afew hours. Can see the kitchen frequently cooking and new hot dish comes out. Maybe the shop a lot of people makan la.
SP and TM might know where the shop is. Same row as KFC in Paramount garden. a few streets from the Bumbung Nasi Lemak that Mandy ate before
happy Monday..
ReplyDeletesigh I start to work after long holiday...
wah meow eat grass at high class restaurant..
like a rich tai tai..
well I don't consider myself a rice bowl..
ReplyDeletebut if my mum is here I am sure will have 2 bowl of rice..
If people call you rice drum, that's bad...pun thang! Useless, good for nothing.
DeleteChicken rice.... My favorite..
ReplyDeleteAt least I will eat 1x/week but since I was coughing I had stop it..
I think more than a month..
Depends on the shop - rice must be oily, not hard, fragrant... Some chicken rice, not much better than plain rice.
Deletehmmm another 1 food that I must have rice with..
ReplyDeleteIt is Bak Kut Teh.. easily 2~3 bowls there..
BKT noodles also very nice what...no need for rice all the time.
DeleteI prefer china rice..
ReplyDeletetheir rice is more fragrant and the grain is bigger compare to our local rice..
very nice to eat.. like those Japs rice..
Bario rice!!! Best in the world!!!! Once you eat, you will not want to eat any other...but must be fresh and unadulterated. Business people will mix and sell and cheat people one.
Deletenow getting older .. I will skip rice at night..
ReplyDeletenormaly just eat some salad or just some breads for dinner..
unless Tan Sri call me for yum char le.. :)
Ohhhhhhh???? You go t=dating with TM at night???? Ahhhh....now the cat is out of the bag. Come, come...spill the beans. Where do you two go? What do you two do? Tell! Tell!!! LOL!!!!!
Deletewell I think eating rice or noodles shouldn't be problem..
ReplyDeletewe should have proper exercise ... so that we could burn all those calories..
like me .. cheap labour ...so burn calories easily..
SP, kesien you, one person wearing 3 hats, at night also wearing another hat, you sure can burn a lot of calories.
DeleteSo, no harm eating more le.
By the way, I saw your breakfast on Saturday morning, so wonderful and nutritious.
Where did you see his breakfast, Yan? Wah!!! Breakfast also secretly show one kah? What else did he show you leh? Tsk! Tsk! LOL!!!!
Deletenowadays my MIL cook a lot of brown rice & lots of grains.. it is more healthy and more fiber.. GOOD
ReplyDeletebrown rice is better than white rice. Sometimes I cook white rice mixed with some brown rice.
DeleteGood afternoon, peep! Monday is always the busiest for me! Just cleared some of my job, drop by to read comments and will be off soon!
ReplyDeleteI just had economy rice, bluek! It's the simplest choice of all and rice being in my favourite list :)
I'm the opposite of Yannie, she prefers noodle to rice and I'm vice versa.
I had nasi bryani with curry chicken...and mango chutney - watch out for the post in my blog tomorrow. Slurpsssss....sehingga menjilat cari!!! LOL!!!!
ReplyDeleteI had fried chicken, curry eggs, stir fried pumpkin and rice from the canteen. I didn't want to eat outside, eat in the canteen can save more money.
ReplyDeleteSounds like makanan kuda. Never mind, that's why horses so lean and so strong. Muahahahahaha!!!!
ReplyDeleteSP is very strong one - day time must withstand his bosses and night time, must entertain the queen. Hail the queen and become an obedient starfish~
DeleteThat's why need a lot of makanan kuda, kakakaka!
So his like kuda's lah? Ooooooo!!!!! @.@!!! LOL!!!
DeleteWahhhhh!!!! That sounds like a lot!!! I wouldn't mind having that.
ReplyDelete食油飯同炒飯咪仲肥過食白飯!
ReplyDeleteGood evening SK and guys~
ReplyDeleteHmm, I am totally opposite with you SK. I am definetely a rice person~
DeleteBut sometimes quite dilemma also, I love rice, but cannot eat too much cause too much is fattening, haih..
DeleteBut you know, I was very happy and contented during confinement time, cause we need to eat ALOT to regain vitality, so for my lunch and dinner, I had big plate of rice!!
DeleteThe rice ho, like mountain, like those Bangla would eat, LOL! *exeggerate abit*
DeleteSome people are so blessed. My SIL eats very little of the dishes...but would eat two plates of rice...and she's all skin and bone, so skinny.
Deletehaha were a complete opposite now sk because im a rice person but I guess all filifinos are we ate rice everyday
ReplyDeleteSH...western style mah...where got want to eat rice like the rest of us, no class lah like that? Muahahahahhaha!!!!!
DeleteI double the amount of rice i eat everyday and im quite happy that im gaining weight already haha i dont wanna be thin anymore
ReplyDeleteYou are? Gaining yet? Hmmm...doesn't show one bit, still so thin... Must take new photos and post in your blog....
DeleteEat like a Sumo wrestler. Sure can gain LOTS and LOTS of weight! LOL
DeleteActually, their diet is very healthy. It's the bulk of the food they consume that is scary. ;p
But soon im planning to go to gym is it weird for a guy striving to gain weight then loose it anyway? haha
ReplyDeleteGood! Good! Pack some muscles...but not too much. Don't end up looking like that Michelin tyre mascot - so ugly. Healthy too to exercise... Go ahead, keep fit!
DeletePerfectly normal for someone skinny to gain weight instead of losing it especially if one is weight training and want the bulk. ;)
Deleteanyways back on the topic I even eat noodles with rice too haha
ReplyDeleteReminds me of chowmien fan in the UK. That canteen lady simply refused to give me the chow mien (fried noodles) without the fan (rice)...even though I insisted that Asians don't eat the two together like that. LOL!!!!
Deletehave a great day and happy bloggin sk god bless you always and take the best of care
ReplyDeleteYou too, MeCoy and have a great week ahead....
DeleteTake less carbohidrate..., half the portion of noodles or rice.....eat more veg, fibre rich food.....sure stay skinny.....lol!
ReplyDeletewhen I eat out, I usually eat less rice but more vegetables. My hubby can eat two plates of rice!
DeleteBananaz quite standardize with 500 grains of rice for lunch & dinner i.e. small rice lah hehe
DeleteLast time I could eat a big plate of rice but not anymore. Now I can take only half of what I could last time.
DeleteBananaz, you count each grain you take? O.o
DeleteThen it'll take you hours to finish the rice >.< and by the time you finished, you'll need to start counting for the next meal @.@
Hallow everyone!!!!
ReplyDeleteSudah malam only got mood to leave my footprint here today. xD
Dunno what you guys story-story above also. ;p
Anyways, I also can live without rice. Easy to travel anywhere right? kekeke
Some people dun wan to travel for fear cannot eat rice just like home. Got uncles and aunties (even people my age too!) who are so fussy, they can't even eat Japanese or Korean type rice. o.O
me too..only free at night but there's no one to chat with already. Talking about rice is fun too. When my kids were young, I always made sure they took rice so that they wouldn't feel hungry so fast. Same with me too, I prefer to take rice before I go to work so that I can survive till evening when I have another round of rice. That will keep me sane till now. At this hour, I won't take rice but maybe some biscuits.
Deleteif you eat rice, means you will gone even more huge and far (more fat) :X
ReplyDeletefor me, I consider myself not to eat too much rice . . . but when I saw chicken rice, I sure buy and eat them very often . . .
Deletetalk about chicken rice: rice . . . my dad dam suka tarpao chicken rice from PUDU, and the packaging (tar pao) still using paper type material lol . . . and the rice of course consider good.
Deletewill try to control myself not to consume too much rice . . . dun even let me saw a chicken rice stall, I might destroy them lmao
DeleteNow on diet plan, cut off all carbo..but it's ok for me too, not a "rice-person" :)
ReplyDelete
