首先聲明你一篇唔係sponsored嘅, 純粹分享我對呢一個GoKL巴士服務嘅想法.. 如果你仲未知, 最近(至少到目前為止中係)城中出現呢個免費巴士服務, 穿梭于KLCC與Bukit Bintang, 或Pasar Seni與Bukit Bintang之間, 係絕對唔駛付一分一毫嘅免費.. 我發現之時的確係個驚喜, 大家都知到呢幾個地區之間, 我哋嘅交通網路係幾咁"方便", 的士司機肯收你RM15係幾咁有"良心"㗎啦.. 所以都算係件好消息, 唔單止免費, 而且仲好頻密咁巴士等人多過人等巴士, 仲有添呀, 巴士上有免費Wifi任你用添㗎!! 雖然我唔會經常搭呢啲巴士, 不過至少我覺得咁樣有回饋社會囉.. 相比起最近公佈嘅財政預算案所用嘅「大派糖果」政策, 呢樣嘢會係實際得多..
nope this is not a sponsored post, i just want to share my experience with this GoKL bus service.. in case you didn't know, there is now (at least it is still) free bus service between KLCC and Bukit Bintang, and another line between Pasar Seni and Bukit Bintang, yes it's totally FREE and you don't have to pay at all.. it came as a surprise to me the other day, we all know our train system has such "convenient" interchanging linking between these areas, or our dearest taxi drivers will charge you a "conscientious" RM15 for a short ride between these areas.. it came as a good news, not only because it's free, but it's frequent and that buses wait for passengers instead of the other way round, what's more, FREE Wifi onboard too!! though i don't take this bus often, unless it's a shopping spree day to cover both areas, at least it makes me feel there's some communal return to the people.. rather a more practical initiatives compared to the "giving away candies" approach in the recent budgetary plan..

    These days we are having so many freebies from the BN. Soon they will have a hostess to entertain you inside. By then SP will also be riding it to go jogging at KLCC.

      Hahahaha! Free WIFI in the bus some more. When I go to KL in early December, I hope to get this free ride to 1-U, Ikea, Pusat Sains and The Curve. Hopefully, This bus will go to this route.

      yalah, all those "candies giveaway" approach, i have to say i hate that.. wasting OUR money for lame initiatives but then come to think of it, rather use them to the maximum since we have virtually "paid" for all those..

      Mak Yan, don't put high hopes on that.. perhaps by the time you are in KL, the services will already been terminated.. even if there is, it won't be free anymore.. even if it's still free, won't go to MV and even those PJ areas lah..

      eh got free ride to 1-U, Ikea, Pusat Sains and The Curve meh? I didnt know

      cilaka betul...last time kena tipu one time at Kelana Jaya LRT. Took cab with SIL to 1U. Ask to use meter. %&&%&...the meter have been tampered ...jump so fast one. Sampai 1U RM15!!!

      But i think this buses benefit the foreign worker the most gua since can see them in town every weekend. Now I fear go to kota raya or jalan masjid indian area on weekends. Feels like gone "overseas"

      As for bukit bintang are, jam like Hxll

      But why? To put the hostesses in the buses? To serve food and massage to the passengers? No wonder annay TM is drooling~~ :p

    I have not sat on any buses in KL for many years. It should be fun to ride and go around town. I still enjoy LRT sometimes as it gives me the nice view of KL.

      last time I took bus when I started to work...
      Everyday I take LRT from PJ until Pasar Seni.. then change bus from KL to Segambut..
      it lasted me 3 years..

      i think these bus services are more for the tourists lah.. as i can see there are more tourists taking this bus than the locals.. not promoted among the locals but among the tourists..

      Actuallu locals who are using bus services are complaining. These free buses hog bus stops making it hard for bus users to see oncoming bus and to board buses.

      But who cares about those people who really need to use buses daily instead of just naik bus to go shopping during their holiday?

      And actually, why care... some will say that the only people using buses now are the foreign workers!:(

      SOP really salute you lor. Take so many transportation mode to get to work. Means have to be out of the house latest by 6am lor?

      ya...most who use buses nowadays are foreign workers. My side here if sunday..can see whole bus are full of foreign workers going to town.

      I dislike our public transportation, they are always off the schedule. Sometimes they reach on time, sometimes they don't come at all! Just like Oreo cookies - now you see it, now you don't!

      I was lucky I didn't have to use public transportation when I was working in KL. My dad gave me his old and solid Sunny 130Y to roam around KL, kekeke!

      Or maybe you can consider I'm unlucky because I didn't see any public transport along my route to my office. I worked in Sg.Buloh and stayed in Sunway.

    What RM5? The taxi driver asked for RM30 from Bukit Bintang to Pertama Complex...and wanted to pick a fight with me when I refused to use his cab. Gave me a really poor impression of KL people in general - so terrible!

      Last time taxi drivers charged RM5 to drive from Renaissance Hotel to KLCC.

      Crazy?

      Walk there only took a few minutes. But who walks in KL nowadays? Foreign workers and tourists. Local people so scared to walk. Kiasi.

      I stopped a cab on the road, Malay driver...and it was ONLY RM7.00!!! I gave him RM10.00 and asked him to give the change. These CHINESE taxi drivers really...sangat memalukan!!! Why can they work and earn an honest living like everybody else...instead of resorting to such disgraceful acts?

      I moved away...and I was surfing the net on my handphone at the time (like what I always do)...and he threw a stone at me, hit my face! He started shouting using all kinds of foul language - accusing me of trying to lodge a complaint about him. Then he rushed towards me, pushing his body against mine...like instigating a fight. Maybe he was hoping I would hit him and he would have an excuse to hit me back and trash me like hell! I saw the cab with the Malay driver, flagged it down, jumped into it and left the scene.

      Now, you tell me lah!!! What impression would that leave in my mind about those Chinese taxi drivers in KL?

      STP, this was truly a very bad experience for you to meet with such driver. It is sad but true, he is a Chinese taxi driver in KL. Luckily you could get escape from the nasty scene finally.

      Last time, I got into a taxi - Chinese driver and very hamsap one. Keep on looking back at me and tried to hold my hand. Eewww... I was so worried he might not send me to my destination and went elsewhere.

      Luckily he did, but he kept telling me he likes me and all that nonsense. *scared*

      After that, I rarely take cabs and if I do, I look for pakcik drivers.

      And once I was outside the hotel where I was staying along Bukit Bintang. Lots of taxi drivers waiting in front, cabs parked illegally by the roadside. A Mat Salleh couple asked one Indian across the road - maybe the guy's cab already booked or he did not want to go up to Genting...so he brought the couple over to another taxi driver and he told that Chinese guy in Malay, "Slaughter them! Now you don't slaughter, when will you get the chance to slaughter again?" Ya...like Lina, I do think the Malay pak ciks are the nicest...but I've met some very nice young ones too.

      I bet it won't last long. But they should consider the senior citizen as I realized that senior citizen in UK got free bus rides anywhere and anytime.

      I think they are doing this for a gimmick not as a sincere help to assist the lower income & pensioners in KL.

      Make good impression of the ruling party on the surface. Malaysians can be rather easy to please and we can be rather easy to have our eyes blinded with freebies.

      When janji ditepati, then it's masa to balas budi. How to balas budi? Pangkah BN lor!

      i never expect this thing to last long also lah, most probably it will be terminated after a few months later.. that's they way the gomen always do things you never realized at all?? everytime small initiatives they want to make it loud as if that's world's #1, but then never plan ahead properly and no proper maintenance, then drop everything with 1001 excuses..

    Wah SK new month new template nice. STP the taxi here go by the weight one. Above 200 kg flat rate of rm30 exceeded 250kg then it's rm60 haha. Taxi fellas really cut throat & not going by the meter.

    Anyway, good to have such initiatives but better to think about the link for commuters from their home to city centre instead of catering for people going shopping and tourists.

    Not that I have anything against such gestures from the government, but I wish that there are more efforts to better public transportation instead of such easy, shallow efforts.

    Whose going to benefit when you link and give free bus rides to these shopping complexes? Mall owners? Shops?

    Why is it so important to have links between malls anyway?

    How is connection to Hospital Kuala Lumpur? Give free bus rides to those who needs to go there lah!
    Or free rides to libraries to encourage visitors to the National Library and promote reading.
    Anyway, plenty of malls now provide free shuttle bus service also what. What's the big deal? Why they do it? To ensure the flow of would be shoppers to their mall!

      Mak Rempit!! i so agree with you lah.. but i think this initiatives is most probably for the tourists more than the locals.. and i realized that the hospital and library are not linked to any train stations at all!! how bad, and relying on the public bus, that could be such a risk too.. well, that's they way the gomen do things lah.. always superficial and short-term, what to do??

      wei...give free rides tgo shopping malls makes people spend more money mah.

      More money means more revennue in tax la. see if you go to the mall sure you will buy food. There alrady kena tax lor.

      Then the shop owner have business then the higher their income, the more tax the gomen get la. They very pandai one. Calculated move. Like encourage spending. If nobody spend sure the pyramid will collapse jor

      I hope they make the business community in the area that those free buses cover, contribute and not taking funds from our taxes! But then, fat chance lah...

    yeah, it was nice to have the free ride.. parked the car at Lot 10, then use the MULTI-MILLION pedestrian bridge to walk to KLCC.. so tiring lah, then decided to go back to Bukit Bintang by the free bus.. hehehe!! :D

    so nice ....last time I walked from Kota raya to bukit bintang aje...now Kota raya no longer glamour lor...now people walk from KLCC to bukit bintang but i yet to try out la.

    Kinda scary too to walk alone. Last time young "duno how to die"(mm chi sei) and have friends walk together so no fear.But now see newspaper all sorts of crimes happening. Think take bus more safer than walking lor

    lina, cannot blamed me also, because i am FAT that's why my legs have very heavy burden lah, hahaha!! but then since there is free bus service, why not utilise the best alternative?? haha..

    meow, haiyoh you outdated lah, now there is a MULTIMILLION ringgit pedestrian walkway, fully covered and air-conditions all the way between Pavilion and KLCC.. you should go and try lah.. safe one lah, inside got guards also..

    Oh, so today's story is about free ride? Count me in for anything free. I'm very kiasu one, kakakaka! Or maybe I should rephrase it, "I'm very auntie and aunties love freebies".

    This pink bus looks decent and nice and clean. Unlike the pink buses a decade ago - no way I'm gonna ride on it after my hellish experience on it once.

      And got free wifi ??? Wow....wow........will passenger sit inside to use the wifi and refuse to get down? hehe....since the ride is free.
