22.10.2012 | 我的短髮

[Volume 7 Issue 10, #1575]
just like people hanging their mobile phones around their waist or neck, i also find people tucking their combs in and pointing out of their pockets rather, errmmm so not vogue, if you get what i mean?? what i wanted to say is, your mobile phone is a gadget and not an accessory, so please just use it but don't ever wear it!! the same thing apply to combs.. and i actually don't even have a comb nor i use a comb at all.. hahaha, but don't get me wrong, i don't comb my hair and that doesn't mean i will just walk out of my room with messy hair.. that will never happen, not that i am particular about my hair but at least i will make sure i style my hair properly.. i will apply some fiber gel and simply style my hair using just finger tips without a comb, maybe that's the benefit of having short hair, easy and convenient to maintain.. particularly to guys, don't just think it's troublesome, but applying some gel to your hair before going outdoor, i personally think that you are actually protecting and nourishing your hair~~ :)

    6. Good morning, everyone!

So, here's someone without a comb. LOL

These days, the phone is also an accessory. Just look at how often people change their phones, which is an indication. The ultimate beneficiary? The phone companies..

    15. Monday again but not blue monday. hahaha...today me was very busy. woke up make jam to make pineapple tarts hahaha...then ding dong to the post office to collect parcel. Lovely surprse from a blogger friend.

another long weekend ya. Where are you all heading to? Meet up?

HS, what you mean by "So, here's someone without a comb." You dont use comb? Surprising wor as ladies usually have comb with them everywhere they go. but not like guys, ladies would put into their hand bags la. Together with a 1001 and one things in their handbags.

As for ultimate benefiaciary ah....i dont think it's the hand phone companies la. I think would be the pirates. Handphone companies have to invest a lot in Research and Develeopment of a handphone and the senang senang kena curi their idia by others.

I think ultimate benefiaciary would be the pasar malam pirate handphone cover, protector, housing , casing , accessories , tali, the cute cute handphone toy and their sanak saudara.

wah Lina Rempit so daring one meh? I see her like dare not even to slaughter a chicken let alone a lembu. Sure or not ah, SK?

But i think Lina will definitely cook up some reallly terrific beef dishes la *hint hint*

SP...good also rejuvenate at home....but then sure can rest at home or not ah? :p Later become starfish leh

  3. These days, I hardly bother...so everytime, I do it up nicely...with gel, mousse, spray and all, close friends would notice and pass some comments! They will always ask if I have gone to a hair salon. It is THAT obvious... LOL!!!

    1. Goodness! You put so much stuffs on your hair? You kidding us. I must call you Mat Gaya.

      Delete
    2. Only on special occasions, must at least get my hair to look nice lah...face and body already like that, cannot help one. Other times, I do not even bother to comb... Nobody wants to look, anyway.

      Delete
    3. OMG, with gel, mousse, spray and all?? why so many things?? no wonder your friends said you just came out of the salon, hahaha!!

haha, Mat Gaya!! it's not about who will bother to look, but it's to respect yourself by being tidy lah.. :p

      Delete
    4. It is good to look neat and tidy. When I worked for my ex HKG bosses for 15 years, I had to gel my hair so hard cos he would tick the management staff off if our hair was messy or shirts looked crumpled a bit.

      Delete
    5. Not me. When I was teaching, I always looked like something the cat dragged in. Didn't care - more important what I did...the quality of the students I produced...not how I look. Not going to a party or anything what. If got dinner invitation like that, then only will I take the trouble to dress up nicely a bit.

    7. well luckily you don't put coconut oil..

      Delete
    9. Anay's boss such a metrosexual and also wants all his employees to become metrosexual?? yeah, everybody see how shiny black Anay's hair is, he used to put lots of coconut oil when he was in the slum in India!! that was what make Letchumi fell in love with him.. the coconut oil smell to complement Letchumi's jasmine smell, so MAN lah~~

      Delete
    10. Arumugam now drinks coconut oil instead!!

    11. LOL...long time never heard of Mat Gaya nickname. Reminds me of Lat's Cartoon, Mat Som. The fella like to bergaya and the hair gulung gulung ones.

Dont put so much chemical on your hair la. Not good . Hurt the scalp.

Coconut oil memang good but stinks la. I have school mate that used to wear that to school. I cabut lari stand far away. Beh tahan the smell

Woi, SK you trying to poison people ah> Later innocent like Mecoy read this and he went and put cococnut oil plus jasmine then habis liao la. Pengsan all the girls. habis rosak his image.

  4. Having a comb like that, not good in KL. Just one day walking around and you use it to comb your hair, if it is a light-coloured one, you can see how dirty it is! Pollution so bad there...so anyone who uses a comb on a regular basis would need to wash it every day too...like their teeth!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I agree that KL is getting very polluted now. I always have to carry wet wipes inside the car. Sometimes I wiped my face before meeting a client and was shocked to see so much soot!!! If i had combed my hair too, I am sure dusts and kutu also trapped in my comb.

      Delete
    2. errr, i think most of the people will carry either a black one, or the very classic orange color comb right?? hahaha, that's what i see most~~

very true!! your face is layered with dirt if you are outdoor, have to always clean else sure cannot have nice complexion like Anay..

      Delete
    3. See!!! Not only I say so... The air in KL is sooooo dirty. Try excavating your nose at the end of the day - huge chunks, all black like anything one!!!! Imagine living in a place like that!

      Delete
    4. I am outdoor person doing sales or checking construction sites. I always baked and roasted myself under the blazing sun, so need to carry wipes and moisturizer la. So pondan!

      Delete
    5. Wah!!! So macho lah you, TM!!!! SK also so macho like you? I think not... Hehehehehehe!!!

      Delete
    6. see, Anay always uses wet wipes to clean his face, and then put on moisturizer and sunblock on his face in front of the construction workers, else where got his nice complexion?? so that is pondan or macho?? wakakaka~~

      Delete
    7. Hey I always sweat buckets and stink! Where to mandi? Have to bring wet wipes lah! My face complexion is terror lah, where got nice?

      Delete
    8. I'm like you, TM... That is why people use tissue paper or handkerchief, I always bring a towel!!!

    9. Memang KL polutte. Just the other day i went down town. Go to the KL sentral. Aiyo...they were having renvation and all that. the buses parked down there. Just a tiny lane to walk. Exactloy image of the old Klang Bus Station. Full of asap and all that.

When i come home, wash hair. The water is black color leh. So terribe leh.

Not that bad gua, TM. Kutu wor.Exagerate la. Soot got la but kutu....where the heck you went till have kutu???

not pondan la. That is gfor cleanliness mah. If the face all dirty will feel very uncomfortable one leh. Then how to talk to people properly. Will become irritated very fast. So anay clean his face before that is wise choice la.

TM at least your complexion is better than mine la. mine a lot of pigmentation and uneven color tone.

Tissue paper no use against the soot . Better use wet wipe. and some even have the mosturising wet wipe which is good for your skin leh

      Delete
    10. Hmmm...I thought I'm the only one complaining that KL is so dirty. Maybe you all so used to it so immune already, tak rasa pun.

From epxerience only wednesday everyone will be back full force to spam lor. tarak angry at SK one. Just hope SK wont angry coz no spam here

Yvonne, cannot blame SP la. He "work" very hard at being starfish leh. No time even to comb hair or answer phone even if the phone is hanging at his neck. I think ahem ahem hanging in his neck makes him more busy lor. hence over tired lor.

    3. Good morning SK, lina, STP, TM, Hayley, Bananaz and everyone.

I am very particular about my hair when I go out too.

I am particular, but I don't comb one. My hair stylist advised me to put wax to style my hair. So, I must wash my hair every morning, must be morning. Because after a night, even though you just wash it a night before, there is oil on the hair in the morning. So I must wash hair early in the morning, blow hair to dry, apply wax and that it. No comb is requried here. I don't comb hair, I just use finger to style my hair too.

I m so proud of my volumnize hair. I am using good hair saloon products on my hair, such as shampoo, conditioner, wax and hair spray.

      Delete
    4. One thing I am not too sure, whether hair gel or wax is good for hair. Some time I find too much gel and wax will dry up the hair, you sure it will nourish and protect our hair, SK?

Even on my girls' hair, I apply gel and hair spray to make their tidy, when tying up. I kind of worrying that the hair product will ruin their hair. But now, you said it will nourish and protect the hair, then I should have no worries of using hair gel on my girls' hair already.

      Delete
    5. Morning, Yan. Yes, yes...take good care of your care. My girl does not bother - like father, like daughter one. I keep telling her but she would not listen. Will use bath soap to wash the air as well...just like the father. Got buy shampoo there for her to use, doesn't want. Tsk! Tsk!

      Delete
    6. I don't comb my hair..... my hair stylist asked me not to, because I have long wavy hair. Just use mousse and fingers to style my hair after washing, as simple as that! I have soft, fine and thin hair.

      Delete
    7. Thin kah? You want to talk about thin, you see my hair lah!!! If I go to the salon, sit under the spotlight...you can see right through from the front to the back...and my shiny scalp glittering like a crystal ball. Not going bald, just my hair is very very thin - my mum's hair also like that. Sigh!!!!!!!!

      Delete
    8. Mak Yan, no scientific reason but just my thought lah, hahaha.. because gel is water base mah, so with a layer of gel on your hair, it can protect your hair from UV and also nourish your hair, that's what i think lah.. logical and make sense enough?? but i must say, apply those on your hair (and most probably on the tip only) and not onto your scalp.. many just apply directly on the scalp especially those who use spray, that will definitely cause harm..

i think yvonne means she has fine hair when she mean thin?? whereas STP means he has little hair when he mean thin??

      Delete
    9. I have a friend who runs a hair saloon at the posh Chelsea area in London. She advised that the brand of hair products manufacturer is important. If you buy gels from Wella or Vidal Sassoon, then safe la. I know many local brands do not roll out from hair specialist companies so their products might harm the hair. I am kiasu and sometimes use hair spray which is from Switzerland. It smells nice and wont crack your hair up.

      Delete
    10. I hear some will seep through your scalp and cause cancer...like the hair dyes from China one. Dunno true or not. Have to be careful what you use.

      Delete
    11. Apply on the tip of the hair, not on the scalp is safer, as recommended by most stylist. I usually apply mousse or gel at the end of my hair to prevent messy hair. You know how girls with long messy hair appear to be - a female ghost!

SK, I have thin(?) hair, as opposite to thick hair. Fine and thin. I cannot opt for hair rebonding.... I'll look weird :s

      Delete
    12. Yes poor quality hair dyes causes cancer and any brand of cigarettes also causes cancer!!! STP what brand you hisap?

      Delete
    13. You want to buy for me, is it? How many cartons? You send poslaju, tomorrow sampai!!! Hehehehehe!!!!

      Delete
    14. yalah, that's what those hairstylist advice and you can see they way they style your hair.. just use very little gel or wax, and they only touch the tips of your hair and never go deeper into your scalp when doing styling.. STP uses gel, mousse and spray, that's too much lah~~ if use, then have to buy good ones lah like those more renown brands..

      Delete
    15. I curi use my missus...all famous brands one. Hehehehehe!!!!! I don't use very often mah...so what for I buy my own? Wink! Wink! LOL!!!

      Delete
    16. me ah, Lina ? LOL...you saw me and you know me...me no comb hair one before go out of house hahaha...that is the benefit of having straight hair. No need to comb also can.

if curly hair easy to get tangle up.

But then i still have a comb in my handbag la. Just not in my pocket.

Yes, wax is ood for straight hair, Yan. But am really amazed la. You wake u what time in the morning? You wash hair, then prepared nice bento set for the kids and do so much thing elh. Salute you

Yan, kids one i think better not put gel or wax la. Have you tried put oil? The ones that nourishes hair type of oil for theirhair? It might be good. Can consult your stylist.

Yvonne, you so lucky la. Natural wavy hair. People want also cannot get leh. Saves a lot of money on perming.

Yes, dont put on scalp. Just one the hair. Best at the end there.

I dont like Wella. Dont like the smell of their hair products. Vidal Sassoon is good. Buy good brand will be beter for hair.

Sometimes am horrified at those who uy theos e gel and mousse from pasar malam. Really la....duno what they thinking off. Jangan Jangan the gel they use glue and put come color in it and sell like that.

      Delete
    17. I use bath soap to wash my hair...and when I have a dinner to attend, I use my missus hair products so will not look so messy or untidy. Other times, don't care lah... Who wants to look at this big, fat and ugly old man...

      Delete
    18. Meow, LOL! My hair is not naturally wavy. I had it permed last year, but specifically asked my stylist to perm it as natural as possible, Korean or Japanese style. Too curly will add additional number to my age!

My kids follow their father's genes, got slight natural wavy... *so envious* But it's true la, wavy hair gets tangled easily. Need to put those stay-on conditioner to maintain the shape >.<

    2. But the comb sticking out of the back pocket was a fashion statement in the 60s...with the likes of people like James Dean and Elvis Presley.

You watch "Grease" - you would see that - take the comb out, comb the hair and put it back. Those were the days...like how nowadays, you may see young guys pulling up their heavily-gelled or moussed hair to make it all stand up looking spiky, some looking like the Statue of Liberty.!

      Delete
    3. Muahahaha, you are so funny, STP, with your statement above~

But it's true la, the comb sticking out of the back pocket was a trend during my teens. All the boys would have a comb in the back pocket, chat with friends halfway and take the comb out and make sure their hair is in "place". Kakakakaka!

If I see any doing now, it will be so AH BENG! LOL~~

Now the only thing that is sticking out of the back pocket is iPad or other tablets. Glamour, but the fact is, it's so horrible!

Worse thing is gaya memang ada, pocket kosong...and if father, mother don't give them the money to buy, you think they can afford? My foot!!! Use parents' money one....old folks would say, take other people's backside and put on their faces. Nothing to their own credit, nothing to be proud about.

    5. hahahaha.. STP so funny lah, maybe he wanted to have spiky hair but with all those gel, mousse, spray and wax, his just can't even stand at all..

yalor, i don't think nowadays the people are still tucking their combs in the pocket, and intuitively pull that comb out to comb their hair while chatting with friends.. that's is just so Ah Beng!!

as for flauting....dont think so gua...those samsung and galaxy note so big how to flaut and hang one the neck?

I really wonder how those people do not realise how stupid they look doing such things.

    2. Not wrong to have hair comb but it's kinda weird to see the comb sticking out from the pocket.

It would be better if kept hidden INSIDE the pocket instead of half in and half out as like the photo above.

Some more, if the person wear so nice and trendy then suddenoy have a comb sticking out like that it's an eye sore. Not nice. Make the person looks untidy instead of stylish

    3. It depends lah!!! Fashion changes as time passes. Imagine a fashion designer revives the trend - comb sticking out of back pockets...and sells their branded combs some more, you wait and see lah! 22. Good evening everyone. am late again today. but better late than never right, sk?

have not read the comments above.

for me, I think it is unwise to wear phone on the neck. it is like asking for trouble. advertising for snatch thieves to snatch.

unlike gold chain, the string for the phone is very strong n not easy to break. if the phone is snatched, the wearer would b dragged a long.

worse still if the snatch thieves use knife to chop off the string. might injure the wearer.

having phone on the neck maybe mire convenient to answer the phone n hear the phone ringing but then it is not worth the danger.

not worth. better be safe than sorry.

I know there are some guy/man that still have comb in thier pocket. out of habit maybe la.

I think i know who definitely have comb in his pocket. That would be my school discipline teacher, Mr Teng. We call him Teng Suk. Every time monday he will be busy becoming barber. With comb handy. All the guys hair if touch the colar and ear will kena gunting kao kao. He have comb with him everywhere he goes i think
