hahahahaha. dont mix up lo...
ReplyDeleteNow it's tough to differentiate by putting hand into pocket only. 50 cents and 20 cents almost the same size. What a unfriendly idea to change :(
ReplyDeleteI agree. It is easier when all the coins have different size & weight. If cannot see, have to "raba-raba" the coins properly to know its value.
DeleteAgree, that was my first reaction upon receiving the 20 cent. Was wondering how am I going to differentiate the coins if I do purchase at "darker" place? Pasar malam or those night stall standing at kaki lima?
DeleteI've seen all, but so far only collected a '10 cent', hehe.
ReplyDeletewe change our paper bills recently too and i don't like it because it looks like some sort of play money haha
ReplyDelete@bluedreamer LOL It is like Monopoly right? Malaysia new note is such a rubbish and thrash. Failure!
Deleteyup hahaha .. i really don't like our new paper bills...
DeleteWe have 5Cent, 10cent, 1peso, 5peso, and 10peso coins here... 5 and 10 cents are rarely used...
ReplyDeletethey used our national heroes for our coins... and us are quite bigger.. the 5 and 10 peso bill is more like an inch big
ReplyDeleteAn inch bigger? That could play havoc on some wallet sizes, couldn't they? Oh dear!
DeleteHope our Malaysian new notes will not create that problem.
indeed hahah
DeleteWe hardly have National Heroes, that's why we only put the parliament and flowers on the kites!!! Muahahahaha!
Deleteby the way some of my comments are being moderated haha i think i overdid it today LOL
ReplyDeleteOh, I think this is due to overwhelming responses in SK's blog at the same time.
DeleteI think I encountered the same yesterday.
I see... wow.. SK huh you're really famous LOL
DeleteSK is smart. He created loyalty program like the CRM way!
DeleteI will have a hard time to get the right coin now. I need time to get used to it.
ReplyDeleteYeah me too. I have to stare at the coins for so long!
DeleteSmaller coins can be quite a challenge for big hands - and people with poor eyesight.
ReplyDeleteHow about the sight-impaired? Susah wor...
DeleteMy hands are small, but I need to strain my eyes smaller too to recognize the value of the coin.
DeleteI haven't got 5sen and 50sen yet.
ReplyDeleteMorning! :D okay i have to say i dnt like the new coins. :x
ReplyDelete@caroline ME NO LIKE NEW COIN TOO XD
DeleteI back to KK on mid Jan dat time, my mom gave those coins to me. I tot it's arcade token and want me to use it. =o
ReplyDeleteArcade coins are heavier, definitely!
DeleteI'm afraid the (new) loose change will get 'lost' in my purse or pocket, well, they are kinda light and I haven't adjust to it yet @____@
DeleteArcade Coin compare with these new Coin! Arcade Coin for the WIN :D
DeleteThose coins really lighter than the current ones. =/ And seriously not used with it. but now almost eveyrone using it, i need to double check if given the correct coins. LOL
ReplyDelete@Caroline, I got the same symptoms that what you did. I triple CHECK ok? XD
DeleteKekeke more like cost cutting to me! :p
ReplyDeleteI'm still confused. LOL
ReplyDeleteBecause usually when I fish out coins from my wallet/pocket - I judge it by feel instead of looking at them closely.
I am ever the cynical. Cost cutting or is it to give someone a big contract?
ReplyDeleteComplain also, I guess we just have to accept it and use it until the time comes when the powers that be suddenly decided to discontinue the coin for whatever reason and change to another design. Right?
ReplyDeleteI think I got some but never too notice! OMG! Did I paid extra with the new coins since I never really bother to check?
ReplyDelete@lina Becareful with NEW 20cent and NEW 50cent, Size and Description so close as in looks alike.
DeleteEih! Sudah 1pm! Where's Kian Fai & Yvonne? xD
ReplyDelete@lina I just reach office not long ago and need to settle some work XD
DeleteDriving cannot visit blog la okays
Cannot ah? Yesterday saw a guy busy reading SMS while on his bike. When kena horn, lagi glared at people! @.@
Delete@Kian Fai,
DeleteWah you so hardworking one!
@lina sendiri punya workplace, must work hard lol
DeleteJust finish all the mess with my work! FREEDOM! :D
Anyways, If the motor glare at me (in KL) just smile to him la :) or else kena gang of Mat Rempit Throw Coin to the car and mirror broke lol
Aww, Lina, you missed me? I'm touched~~
DeleteNot working on this Sat, did some cleaning and ironing at home, hence no surf Internet....
DeleteI won't online on Sunday too. Darn, my 'index' sure jatuh menjunam!
DeleteMust double up my effort on Monday (I'll triple spam today firstly) :p
Delete@yvonne,
DeleteLike that, I'll work hard commenting tomorrow and triple spam on Monday to rise up my index. LOL
haha Sunday I will woke up late -,-
DeleteHappy Saturday everyone! :)
ReplyDeletethe 50 cents is around our current 20 cents or even smaller.
ReplyDeleteMy first time getting it, I actually returned it to the shop keeper, and said "wrong coin!" coz i thought it was some other country's currency
I guess I would do it too! Like we get S'pore coin instead of our own. xD
Delete@Isaac what you stated above is correct because 50cent and 20cent is same color and almost same size, that is so headache when give them to counter especially in 7-11. Lucky my place 7-11 cashier very friendly and sort my confusion out hehe
DeleteNot the 7-11 at my place. :(
DeleteBetter be careful there, I suppose. And when paying for the "babu roti" too. Sometimes buy bread too early in the morning or late evening, too dark cannot see properly. ;p
@lina is time to wear a safety helmet with a light, then you can see it very clear! Tada! :D
DeleteHahaha, no time to grab the helmet with light when the babu roti arrived. You know la, they come and go very fast one. Peepoo, peepoo, and they are gone...
Deletethe new coins cant be use to pay the parking tickets, or water machine... i dont think it can be use in any of the coins machine also... more reason to spend more money to make this machines friendlier with the new coins, haha.
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I would like to say Thank You to Malaysia because Malaysia itself is down-grading the coin thickness and quality. As in Down-Grading our Malaysian Faces which is make us more SHAME when some other people from other country compare our coin with their COINS!
ReplyDeleteRM 5 is not enough? Need to down-grade the coin summore. Walao so cham meh Malaysia . . .
So Far . . . In my workplace, I haven't receive new coins from my customer yet. Else need to take note and different shade it.
ReplyDeleteThe best thing is, NEW 50cent and NEW 20cent is SAME COLOR and almost same size. This is why I hate this so much and it is like down grading Malaysia punya Muka . . .
What You and Caroline mention is correct. It is definitely looks like ARCADE Token! Come on man, this kind of coins also dare to show on Malaysia or World Market, those high class people will think that Malaysia is cheap skate or what . . . Booring!
ReplyDeleteYou know the most awkward moment when these coins come into my hand. I think it is Rupiah or Indonesia Money! Dam Embarrassing alright? LOL
ReplyDeleteSo euro coins? Sorry, no comment when comparing with other countries because so far I only visited Malaysia, supporting cuti-cuti malaysia
ReplyDeleteI dunno about Euro coins also. Very kampung type lah me. LOL
Delete@lina welcome to Kampung Gang LOL!
DeleteI think I saw Thai and Singapore coins before and their sizes are almost the same as our old 10cent and 20cent. Now our sizes have down-graded and get smaller.... Sad case, because it reminds me on the country currency exchange rate, our currency getting 'smaller' too.
ReplyDeleteoh.. I hv got the whole set..50 sen is very much smaller..
ReplyDeleteOoh why coins are not made of paper ya? :p :p or plastic!
ReplyDeleteYa...the new coins do look like arcade tokens. Tsk! Tsk!
ReplyDelete我很久没看到过token了。。。
ReplyDelete新的硬币也没什么看到,可能刚开始使用吧!
拿到的时候我也拍张照留念啦!
Wah the picture of the noodles is making me drool! Fried with clams somemore.. i love it!!
ReplyDeleteGot those already LOL
ReplyDeletegot those from McD during CNY eve. Hmm in think next year the Banks will be very busy. Sure eeryone wanna get those brand new 20sen coins put into angpau or something...gold color mah...last time the RM1 gold coin people rebut till mad
ReplyDeleteThe other day, I was looking for a 10sen and thought how come I got some foreign coins in my purse. While I was looking at it, the young waiter told that was the new 10sen coin. OIC, said the blind man.
