ReplyDeleteI know a friend, she is white, but her name is chinese name :P
You know, Maybe that day is one of her relative pass away or what. Count it as anniversary or what. Who knows?
ReplyDeleteIf they buying hell notes and create something creativity, it is abit unforgivable for so many living soul on the earth and always hang out at the building that she live haha!
No need to wait until month of 7 (chinese calendar), everyday, every minute, every second sure got people buy this. Maybe her husband tell her to keep stock first. Ter-ngam that day you saw it of course you will feel weird about it.
ReplyDeleteRemember, now a days lot of chinese marrying with other people from overseas, I think it is common. Think open abit la SK :P
So if she buy some Hell Note, she may be not a traveler or maybe she is! Her partner kena kacau by some Chinese ghost, the pastor or some god assistant tell her to buy some "money" and burn for forgiveness :) Can say like that? hehe

DeleteEh... kena kacau by ghost, use hell notes to halau meh? Not do food offering ka? Pray with some joss stick, facing whatever-direction as advised by the medium??
DeleteThe HELL notes and Indon Rupiah run into millions!!! Which one higher?
ReplyDeleteI wonder what they could buy with the notes?? Nothing is physical in the spiritual world.
ReplyDeleteIt's a way to comfort us, human, not the dead.
DeleteBurning the papers is to ease the suffering of the dead in hell, or that's so what we think.
I understand that prayers and merits are used to trade in their 'world'.... No?
ReplyDeleteWell, I heard about prayers and merits too :)
DeletePeople asked me whether those paper cars, houses and clothes that were burnt & offered to the deceased during Ching Ming festival, could reach them?? My answer is Yes & No...it depends
ReplyDeleteI believe the cars and house burn already. It does reach them but at the end it is not for them, need to pay "tax" to the Heaven Governo . . . I dunno real or not (watch too much TV)
DeleteAiyoh, die already also got to pay tax ah?

ReplyDeleteOr maybe, she knew what they are and think we Chinese so stupid to believe in hell money so she just brought them back to show her friends! LOL!
ReplyDeletewhat is hell currency notes SK? wait.. lemme check it online
ReplyDeletethis is what i found "The burning of hell bank notes is based on the common Chinese belief to ensure that the spirits of the deceased in the afterworld can enjoy a luxury life with all the hell bank notes being offered to them, which are actually money to spend in their afterworld.
ReplyDeleteis that it? that;s pretty interesting actually... but yeah.. if it's not Hungry Ghost month out there and if he's just buying it for souvenirs and give it away to his friends.. then that's quite weird right....
