16.12.2013 | 京阪の秋(一)

[Volume 8 Issue 12, #1838]
i went to Osaka and Kyoto last week, this trip was actually bought together with my Tokyo trip in May.. it's a five-day trip but minus the flight time, we actually have only three days to go around the two cities.. though a very short (and rush) trip, it was not bad at all, for this was my very first time there, i treat it was a "preview" to feel and experience the cities, so that i will know where to go and where not to for my future visits.. some readers complained they did not have enough of my Tokyo travelogue, i will try my best to write more for this trip but don't later complain i am being too long winded instead okay?? haha!! i shall not make this intro too long, let's get the photos below to do the talking!! :)

  9. Why 900 times and not 1000 times? Ha :D So the takoyaki is that damn good over there in its origin aye. Certain stuff must eat original only right?

    1. The food in photo B, OMG! I am salivating over it la! I miss Japanese food, I miss the authentic Japanese food in Japan, I think you'll agree with me that Japanese food in Japan and Japanese food in Msia are different right? Hehe, even their plain white rice is so sweet and yummy!
I don't know about your trip but when I was in Japan in 2009, the tour arranged so much yummy food for us! Everything is of big portion, eat til we almost vomit! :p But I eat a lot during the trip, surprisingly I din't gain much weight after came back, cause Japanese food is quite healthy!

  18. The guest house is very unique! The owner some more prepare so many comic books!! Wow! Impressive! Yea of course can spot fing fing and julius! But julius is so tiny I have to go nearer to my monitor to see him :p
Hmm as the price of the hotel, I guess it's pretty reasonable huh?

    1. Yea, probably the next time you go Japan and stay at the same hotel, you'll see your photo there! ^^

Weather in Japan is quite nice huh? Autumn now, not too cold nor hot, and I bet the air is so fresh!
Hmm, there's no way Msia can be bicycle friendly la! It's totally not safe at all, even motorcycles riders and drivers are not safe, needless to mention bicycle riders. But I also wish Msia can be a bicycle-friendly country, just like Norway!

  20. Ohayou Gozaimasu, coming back here for the second time.
A: Sakai Guest House indeed is very good stay for those backpackers. As long as the rooms are economically need and tidy, I don't mind too. If we follow the group tour, those hotels that they were offer mostly are 4 to 5 stars. But if to think back, how many hours we stay inside the room or going out early in the morning for the sightseeing.

    1. B: Yeah can imagine how big is that bowl of Udon. Slurpp all the way. So 6-7 hrs flight and you had nothing eh? So what time is your flight then? usually flight to Japan is usually at night. Most of the time, I want to sleep all the way. But can't because they keep on the light and say snack is served and another round in the morning, breakfast is served.

    2. C: Fing Fing too big size blocking Julius view...hehehe. Lovely cosy area for Fing Fing and Julius until daddy need to force them get out of that area or else daddy kenot go out for sightseeing eh...

    3. D: Wah 2,300Yen is very tai lor. One night was below RM100. OK lar, we only need the bed to rest and sleep. When we decided to go for a free and easy tour, time is very crucial and everything must be in budget. It is good that you plan your free and easy tour ahead. Should ask my hubby whether is he ok with this room. Hehehe....

    4. E: Hey you mentioned a group photo. Where is it leh?

    5. F: During autumn weather in Osaka is acceptable lar.. not very cold actually. Yeah, I still remember my time when I was in HK. Both hubby and I walkd all the way from our hotel to the Ladies street, quite a few blocks away...and we didn't feel tired nor sweating. On the other hand, I feel happy by holding our hands and walked throughout the breezing cold weather...Cool right?

    6. G: Bicycles are very common for the Japanese. I saw many Japanese wearing blazzer with ties while cycle to work. It's true, I feel very safe in Japan... people are friendly and nice to talk with. But there are some senior ladies are very irritating. Not many lar...so far Japan is the best place I want to go again and again.

    7. H: Rikurō cheese cake yummy eh...I saw the photo from FB too

    8. I: Puffy whe with jackets on? Don't say liddat lar. I like your green diamond checkered V-neck vest. Still looking good just like high school student.

    9. J: Udon again, that is absolutely ok for me. Make me miss Japanese food lar. Their authentic Japanese food always a comfort food to me. Ok lar around RM7+ a bowl. After all, at least your tummy feel warm cos later you'llbe catching an express train to visit Kyoto pula.

    10. K: Muahaha 1000times better than Malaysia one, of course. Lots of bonito flakes, takoyaki sauce and Jap mayo...Yumz.

    11. L: Doguyasuji desu ne? I have to remember this place. Good for me if I'm there...I wanted to buy some baking utensils if can. I wanted to get the wooden block to bake castella cake. Just dunno where to get it. I should go there see it, touch it and buy it myself (*_^). Beside shisa, Japanese like to display a variety of those prosperity cat.

    12. Haiyo why I see again i missed one photo makes all my comment - loon sai tai loong....phai seh...

So come back to that photo that you're saying your friend wanted to get something from Namba...so is the famous cheese cake he misses so much!

      Delete
    13. Hmm you must had your experienced again buying tickets from the vending machine right? Self pick of which place you wanted to go and so on. So you bought one by one ticket? Is that more cheaper? I've never try to buy my own train ticket yet. But I've been there once and see people queueing up buying their own ticket and select those route they wanted. Very intresting. Looking at JR station, I think KTM need to come and see how massive the Jap station is... So huge...their routes are so complicated - sure faint one.. Kekeke

  26. By the way, out of the topic, I just discovered a web-based paid surveys website where you can complete surveys and receive cash or vouchers or gifts after that by gaining points. So fun! Pass time and earn money at the same time.

  27. I would say that I will pay more attention in your Osaka and Kyoto travelogue than Tokyo one. I wish to go there in very near future, because I have more friends there than Tokyo.
