前幾日見到面卜上有個朋友貼咗呢張相, 開張前一晚排定隊, 我當時嘅回應係「吓?? 駛唔駛呀??」.. 正如之前嘅Uniqlo咁, 開張當日排晒長龍打晒蛇餅, 我都已經覺得"很有趣", 更何況係排通宵隊?? 難道首N位顧客入去可以免費血拼嗎?? 如果係嘅話我確實唔介意, 不過實情唔係咁樣噃.. 如果係Giorgio Armani賣H&M嘅價錢就另當別論, 呵呵!! 真係對啲人嘅心態感到莫名嘅好奇, 我相信多幾日我唔駛排隊, 都同樣可以不費吹灰之力, 就買到同你一模一樣嘅衫褲鞋襪㗎噃.. 好似我呢啲患有"人群恐懼症"嘅人都唔少, 我有懷疑過呢啲人其實係唔係人家俾錢請返嚟排隊㗎呢?? 出啲錢做起個勢嘛, 呢個橋段幾得㗎.. :p
saw this photo from a friend in facebook the other day, and my immediate response was "huh?? is that necessary??".. just like what happened to the previous uniqlo's grand opening, i already think it's rather "interesting" to see people spending half a day queuing up, not to mention this overnight queue.. is there full sponsor for the first N customers to shop in there?? if that's the case, i really don't mind, but the fact is that's not the case.. and if Giorgio Armani is selling at H&M price, that would be another story also, haha!! i am really curious about the thinking and attitude of these people, i believe few days later, i don't even have to queue at all and effortlessly get exactly the same clothes like they did.. i think there are quite some people who has demophobia (fear of crowd) like me out there, hence i ever suspected those people are hired to queue up, for some money you can build up publicity, that's quite a good marketing tactic don't you think?? :p

      20%, I heard...but just pick a few items, already spent hundreds of ringgit. I really wonder how much those people earn, "spending their money like water". I would think many times before I'd part with my money like that. Ok...ok..I'm stingy but my late (very rich) grandfather told me only stingy people can become rich.

      I dislike long queue, even there's 20% discounts on the item. Not worth the time and effort spent waiting... stoopid.

      Still there are people willing to queue (and in this case, waited 15 hours before the opening), crazy b*****ds! And charge into the shop when it finally opens. Siao~

      I'm not into any brand. Anything that's cheap...and has my size, good enough for me. You wear branded stuff, cost a million...people also dunno who you are...and worse still, they will say you buy from Jalan Petaling one. I wear like beggar in Sibu, I go out...everybody knows who I am. True or not? Wrong/incomplete address also the mail could reach me.

    so why need to queue the night before? Same with the iPhone thingy. each time new launch sure have people queue up duno overnight or what.

    haiz...but can't blame them too la as am guilty of that too. There was a time when harry Potter final book was launched, I queue up at Kino 7am to get my pre-ordered copy. Then snap photos with the "Fat Lady" hahaha. That was fun.

    But then two three days later sakit hati coz a hypermarket selling the same book naround RM50 plus while i bought with discount around RM70 plus...


    that was my gila time la.

    I think i still gila nowadays coz if book sale i would queue up early. It's not as if it's free but then I simply kiasu la. Not as if I can buy all the books.

      Crazy? I think I did those crazy thing in my early 20s. Queued to get autograph from my favourite singer, Ronan Keating.

      But, but, he was here for several hours only. Needed to grab the chance to see his handsome face. Unlike H&M, the shop will be there forever, right? So why the queuing?

      Like the cheap breakfasts at the fast food joints - the queue so long....out into the road,round the corner also people will go and queue. Not that the breakfast is soooo nice. Give me free, I also don't want - I'm not a beggar!

      I also don't know. I heard my friends went Hong Kong and bought a lot of H&M. So, I saw H&M outlet in Korean, just quickly grabbed one and paid. I bought a top for around RM60.

      Like that time they gave RM500 - alamak the people outside the office, getting the form - like a riot going on...but look at their cars, put my old Wira to shame...and wear branded stuff some more - NIKE shoes...but so poor meh? RM500 also have to rebut like that? Disgraceful lah... Some even resort to falsifying claims. I may be poor but at least, I have my dignity...not so shameful like those people.

      Yes, in the news here - some got caught and got charged in court! Padan muka! So greedy! Got a cheating case...a woman wanted to claim the RM500, con-men pretending to help cheated her of her RM1,000 savings instead. Muahahahahaha!!!! Some people never learn!

      This time I will wait for the Zero Fare promo. My friend got her tickets at less than RM300 for return trip to Osaka.

    Now this 15 hours earlier is absolutely crazy. It reminds me of that Hello Kitty Mania at the McD outlets in Singapore. Parents were queuing and fighting fists at the crowd.

      Meow, got small bear ka? Not hello kitty collection?? I know many went crazy for hello kitty. The guys would queue and collect all for their beloved girlfriends, the girls would stomp their legs and pull long faces if the boyfriends refused to buy for them. No?

      There was one time, the McD snoopy collection was highly sought too. I got a few, but some crazy friends got the whole set and they even framed it up!

      I still keep the Winnie the Poohs & Mashimaro's toys from McD that Zaini got (and queued) for me.
      Didn't ask him to get it... since I don't really care about soft toys but he got the whole set and gave it to me as a surprise.
      Still in very good condition. Still got the sound also. Battery belum habis. xD

    The kiasu attitude has landed here. Many years ago, I only get to see this "queuing thing" in Japan or Hong Kong. What were they thinking actually? Does being the first customer in the outlet's history feels good?

    Unless the outlet pay me to queue in front of the shop, with good hourly wage, plus extra extra benefits (like free cash vouchers) and I'm still single, why not? Better than ding-dong at home doing nothing :p

      That is veryu good. But then when you older you must think of a marketing strategy too. sometimes get people wait for you but not wait long. To show that you have others people waiting your time. show you are important enough.
