[Volume 7 Issue 9, #1540]
suddenly felt like having japanese for dinner yesterday, instantly i thought of the newly opened Isetan at 1U.. initially wanted to walk around before deciding which restaurant to go, but the waitress at this "麺屋武蔵" (menya musashi) was so enthusiastic and noticed quite a good crowd in there, decided this would be the place!! can't really understand the menu so i just pointed at the one with the largest picture and bears the name of the restaurant (RM26++), i assume that would be their signature.. of course i am very satisfied with that, very flavorful and thick soup, springy ramen, and most impressively there are three huge pieces of pork slices in there!! compared to the commonly two little pieces outside, i can sense the sincerity and the generosity, and each time one bowl of ramen is cooked you can hear the kitchen crew's motivation yell, the ambiance was then rather high, haha.. the only complaint i had was, the bowl used was a little too small making the eating a little inconvenient.. :)

STP no need wink wink la. Scare to bring you there. Later you see the prices there you will be scared to eat la

  2. Looks delicious, the pork slice. Does it come with vegetables too?

True that the food is more enjoyable when there is more space for the food.

    1. No leh! Just those few thin slices of pork and half an egg - RM26!!! Oh me oh my!!! This SK must be very rich to go for something like this...

      Delete
    2. Could it be they purposely put it in smaller bowl so that the things in the bowl looked MORE that it is actually there?

    3. Yalor! Optical illusion!!! Japanese mah...got class one, have to pay more. Isetan, no less! Wink! Wink!

    4. Class or no class me also tarak like Japanese food punya la.

anyway, I leave the both of you here la. No hanky panky ya. Just comment more and spamming only ya. Else kena spanking.

Fast fast spam more la. I wanna see Arthur's card from SK by this month end. Dont know SK going with Journey to The West theme or James Bond Theme.

Either way, it would be fun to see a plate of Kampua noodle there in the place of Zhu Pak Gai or James Bond :p

    5. I'm no fan of Japanese food also. Expensive, somewhat bland...and eat tak kenyang.

Me top? Then all you hamsapresses stop spamming lor... Otherwise, how to beat? Women...memang banyak cakap one, simply must have the last word. Muahahahahaha!!!!

    6. I like Japanese food, but somehow I don't fancy ramen. Why, o, why~~

Usually the Japanese noodles are served in big-a** bowl, why yours in the smaller bowl? Makes the noodle and oink oink look cramped in it. My first impression, "how can I ever finish the whole bowl?".

      Delete
    7. ah hua.. you never try some good ramen.. come to kl and I treat you.. let you open your eyes about japanese ramen.. it is really good..
there is once that my wife was crazy for it...

      Delete
    8. I never knew that a real japanese Ramen was so delicious until I tried the one in the back lanes at Taman Desa. Later in Japan, I saluted their Ramen which was even better. Millions of people cannot be wrong that Japanese Ramen can be very good and tasty!

      Delete
    9. Ah Hua, quickly come to KL and SP will be your kind host!!!! SK and TM will also tumpang be the guests!!! Boleh ka SP? You so rich, do some charity la....feed the hungry ones.

    10. Wah!!! This SP, eyes one big one small lah... Ask Ah Hua to go KL, go eat expensive Japanese ramen...I went KL, took me to eat kopitiam stall noodles. Don't friend you already lah like that!!!

      Delete
    11. Kekeke, got that extra privilege from SP, of course I must schedule one day to drop by KL for that delicious ramen. Don't bring me to the RM12 Japanese ramen with soup tastes like air longkang. At least I want the Isetan's one.

    2. RM26, the price is quite reasonable for ramen with 3 huge slices of pork, no? I had ramen once in dunno-what-name plaza behind sungai Wang plaza. I don't remember the price nor its taste :p

      Delete
    3. I think it come with sizes too, small, medium and large..
I think AK order is the average size.. I try the black oil but my wife found it kinda oily

      Delete
    4. RM26 is the normal cut-throat prices in KL for a bowl of Ramen. The lousy ones could be as low as RM12.

      Delete
    5. That SL got class mah!!! Where got goa nd eat cheap stuff one? Those would be for poor people like me one.

      Delete
    6. Oops!!! I mean SK... Slip of the finger not the thought of mind...

      Delete
    7. sigh....not cheap makan japanese food. once awhile then okay la. If frequently then can become pokai lo.

  4. RM26!!!! Even more expensive that my udang galah giant freshwater prawn noodles!!! And this one no prawn some more. Just because the girl smiled sweetly at you, you fell for it lah...

    ReplyDelete

    1. Udang galah...blurpp...just the other day had lobster. muahahahaha Baru RM24....

if the girl smiled sweetly and SK fell for it , it is normal mah. Then confirm his hormone is normal la. Not screwed up and turned into a grumpy old man like yesterday la.

Not bad wor, SK. Still have "Lam yan mei" LOL

      Delete
    2. Lobster, name only...expensive but not as sweet and tasty as udang galah - must be fresh ones, of course. I would usually use it to replace lobster in my salads.

      Delete
    3. your side punya maybe not sweet la. Belitung punya manyak sweet . Muhahaha

      Delete
    4. You come and try lah. Alive and kicking, straight from the river one...where got not sweet? So fresh....not dead and frozen like those from the sea ones.

      Delete
    5. Belitung, sweet...but must eat there. By the time, reach KL...already dead as a door nail. Kesian! LOL!!!

      Delete
    6. STP, ya I think RM 26++ is quite expensive.. But if it's really yummy, and looking at the presentation.. I think worth the money la!

      Delete
    7. Cannot compare udang galah with ramen, they are from different world. Anyway, I'm such a poor thing, don't remember having lobster too. No one belanja. My diet is so restricted and in adventurous.

      Delete
    8. Oh wait, isn't udang galah same as lobster? Or is udang galah meaning pole prawns? And ramen is soba? Gosh, I'm getting myself confused.

      Delete
    9. Udang galah kalah to lobster just that udang galah just like any udang but bigger in size, betul kah situ? Me no expert too dunno what's pole or soba but Bananaz knows pretty well he is sober.

      Delete
    10. you all really very bad .. now you are making me craving for seafood...
it reminds me of tualang prawns..

      Delete
    11. What a sissy! If I am sick, I will still eat seafood and fried stuffs!

      Delete
    12. I do not agree with Bananaz. Lobster, name only lah...glamour. The meat not as tasty as prawns. Even tiger prawns also nicer...what more to say udang galah. Come to Sibu and eat the udang galah here first, Bananaz and then you say which is better. I get lobsters from my brother-in-law from Bintulu - people give, just eat lah...unless there are different types of lobsters - some nice, some not so nice...then I would not know lah!

I am also a soupy person. But then I have decided to start on 17 September that I am going to give all meat a pass. See after cutting down in meat intake, will I lose some weight?
