whenever i'm commuting i go online using my phone.. and each time i go online, there pops this message shown.. so from that, i realised every train is equipped with a WiFi!! a little surprise on this, but too bad they are locked so i can't connect, guess must be for the purpose of controlling the train.. i actually think it's not a bad idea to make it publicly assessable huh?? but of course the one for controlling is still to be locked, perhaps adding another one for passengers?? well, forget it, it seems very impossible!! :p

  3. In fact our whole country should have FREE WIFI throughout and it will be a favorite tourists' choice! Just add more routers only mah..... Correct?

  4. My phone still depends on FREE wifi as I felt many places have wifi ready for me and it automatically gets connected when I am at home, office, client's places and my regular eateries. I think that is sufficient enough to be able to read Thambee's blogs....wink! Wink!

  5. Rather than free wi-fi, how about adding frequency of trains and also adding number of coaches? ;p

    1. Agree! With free wifi I expect the crowd would be more. But the coaches do not get expanded, tsk tsk... suffocated le.

    3. and maybe will have increase in accidents in trains. Why? I always see people compromising their safety, prefering to stare at the phones' screen rather than look where they're going even while crossing roads. Got free wi-fi, habislah! People kena knock-over la, jatuh platform la... habis LRT kena sue afterwards. XD

    1. Hi Yvonne. The Ampang line has a train-driver but not the Putra line. Unless things have changed.

I had a pleasant experience with an Ampang line train. I was taking my own sweet time coming down the stairs because a train had just gone by. To my surprise another train came along and stopped for a while (longer than usual). I was beginning to wonder what had happened when I noticed the train-driver waved to me to come down. I then realised he was waiting for me to come down the stairs to get on. So nice of him, I thought and I thanked him profusely, of course, being grateful that I needn't have to wait longer.

  12. Actually, I always take it for granted that I can get free wi-fi at eateries here in KL that I had a rather hard time not having the ease of finding free wi-fi in Japan.

In Malaysia, even Mamak place can offer free wi-fi!
