after publishing three posts of my tokyo travelogue, i was actually wondering if i should continue or take a couple of days break on this series.. it seems that back-to-back posts on my tokyo trip are bombarding the readers, what was supposed to be interesting may turned boring (you know when you see a sudden drop in the number of comments).. but then a second thought, if i have inserted some other unrelevant posts within the series, i feel it's rather imperfect.. i personally would like to settle this series of tokyo travelogue soonest possible, hence i've decided to continue bombarding everyone.. sorry, it seems like i am brainwashing?? haha.. anyway, this is part three of the travelogue and i hope you'll enjoy reading it.. :)

  6. Seeing fresh seafood galore from your photos. Both my hubby and I was so jakun over all the fresh salmon, scallop, prawns and unagi when we were there.

So "siapai". The tour guide brought us to one of the kaiten belt chain sushi. Just paid one price and eat all you can. We keep taking salmons and bla bla bla.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. hahaha, in fact that was the one seafood meal we had, but for once we gotta taste 10 different seafood, good enough lah.. too many to eat but too little time.. oh, so that kaiten is actually a buffet style sushi restaurant?? but i prefer sashimi than sushi, sushi very filling cannot eat much~~ :D

    1. Adoi! Angeline, SK showed his pic far far away, you said he is chubby. Now some more you ask for closer shot of him. You think he wants to show you. You should say, from far, I notice SK looks so smart in blue. Very ying standing near tokyo tower. Like that he will show his closer shot ma!

Must bodek bodek him a bit wert.

  10. Go to Japan must try their lovely ramen with all kinds of soup base. Originally with fresh ingredients and most of the soup they use bone marrows to boild for a few hours.

We had our own leisure time once we reach the hotel after dinner. Since we're not tired, hubby and I continue to take a stroll along the nearby street (not far away from the hotel) and search for ramen stall. Almost every night we had ramen for supper.

    ReplyDelete

    1. It is just so nice to have a bowl of hot ramen during cold weather... Slurpp all the way no one cares about it.

    2. I love ramen too. I love those ramen in hot and spicy soup base. My favourite. Ichiban!

      Delete
    3. I'm not a noodle person, I'm more a rice lover. Would love to try all sort of don (rice bowl?) there. Japanese are so perfectionist. They care about the presentation of their food, eh, Everything seems so well-arranged and appetizing.

      Delete
    4. yeah, the first night we touched down, it was raining and was kind of chilly, so we settled with a bowl of hot ramen just nearby the hotel, the one with private cubicle.. but cannot have ramen everyday lah, there are so many things to eat and to try, and yet we had little time.. and i realized i had a lot of rice, probably one month's quota of my rice intake in malaysia~~ :D

    2. we are not talking about those western fast food chains like McD etc.. but those local japanese food chains operating in "fast food" model, something like yoshinoya.. i won't say they are particularly nutritious but i guess it's the japanese cuisine itself.. :)

  14. B. no fishy smell? That is nice to here. Over here if go fish market have to get ready boots else sure feet will get wet .

Good idea have restuarants near the market espeially if the market not stinky. Maybe the seafood will be cheaper and fresher?

    ReplyDelete

    1. Definitely fresher Meow. Not necessarily cheaper. Good & high quality food doesn't come cheap. ;)

    2. yalah, everywhere is so clean and neat in Japan.. errr, i have no idea whether the seafood is cheap or not?? i don't even go to markets in Malaysia, i am those who tahu makan tak tahu harga lah, haha~~ :D

  16. D. i was going to ask whether you all ate there or not but now no need la.

How come slightly more expensive geh? I thought since so near to the seafood source, the price would be cheaper than other place. They slaughter tourist ka?

    ReplyDelete

    1. what i meant was this meal was slightly more luxurious than those things we used to eat during our trip, not that the things in this market are more expensive than outside.. haha!!

Nice shots of the Tokyo Skytree. What a blue sky! It must have been nice to be able to lie down on the lawn to just enjoy the sky and the surroundings.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. To experience the goings on in the inner market would have been quite an experience. Still, at least you were at the outer market to take in the excitement.

I read that some ramen soups are specifically made from pork bones but whatever meat is used, the soup would be super-tasty after hours of cooking.

    2. Btw, did you say drop in comments? You must be kidding! I see a higher number these past few posts.

Anyway, three or four posts or even five on a destination is bearable, for me at least. Just don't hit anything beyond that all at one go! Oops! No offence, just sharing my thoughts. Whatever... it is still your blog so it is your choice to do what you feel right or comfortable.

Thanks for yet another interesting day in bustling Tokyo.

P.S. Any picture of anyone in Cosplay?

    3. hotel hop?? because we book a better hotel for just one night to pamper ourselves, haha!! i always do that, one night in a good hotel for the trip.. :p

BTW, that is Tokyo Tower and not Tokyo SkyTree.. Tokyo SkyTree is the concrete one in my previous post..

yeah, that was exactly what we have missed.. it would be such a good experience to be able to see the wholesale business and auction in the inner market.. :)

hahaha, maybe the comments came in slower.. anyway, there will be 1+5 posts for this trip.. one sneak preview summarizing everything and then another 5 for each of the day i was there.. i hope that's not too much.. :p

cosplay.. hmmm, quite disappointed we didn't see many Lolita and Naruto on the streets in Harajuku!! or is it not the trend already?? haha~~

I've never seen even the homeless in Japan do what Anay saw in China. o.O

They even pick up their doggies poop there when they take the dogs out for a walk! Not like Malaysians - let the dog out and poop at neighbour's place. xD

    2. China people are selfish, unlike Japanese who are more discipline. Totally cannot compare these 2 countries. I think Malaysia condition is better than China.

      Delete
    3. yalah, this is Japan and not China lah, like Ah Hua says they are very disciplined.. i don't expect to see people poo-poo in the public at all, haha!! everywhere is so clean, you don't even have to worry about yourself stepping onto dogs' poop.. what Lina says is so true, we let our dogs poop at neighbour's door~~ :D

I don't like udon too (in Malaysia) but I love them when in Japan. But not the food court standarf udon lah. Sanuki udon is the best!

      Delete
    2. yeah, i never like udon in malaysia, i always go for rice or ramen only.. so when my friend brought me for udon that day, i was rather hesitant but then just follow lah, one simple meal only don't make a fuss lah.. but then ended up, i like the udon so much, probably one of the best meal i had in Tokyo, haha!!

Lina, i've forgotten where i had the udon.. you know lah, not that interested so never bother to go remember the place.. it was in Shimbashi, a small shop with no vending machine.. probably not sanuki right??
