we love chocolates don't we?? but of course this fridge full of chocolates isn't mine (though i wish it was, haha!!).. are you one who would habitually, or having such mentality to, place all your chocolates in the fridge?? hmmm, i actually hate that, i love chocolates to melt in my mouth, but if it's kept in the fridge, it gets all harden and tastes like rock, potong stim lah!! as long as you keep it away from direct heat, it will survive perfectly under room temperature, moreover most chocolates are added with stabilizer nowadays so they don't melt easily.. of course i have no idea about expensive chocolates from chocolatiers, i can't afford to buy those, haha!! BTW, i do keep opened packets of snacks in the fridge so that they won't go stale, or bread expiring soon in the freezer so they can be kept longer (after all put them in toast and they are still good).. okay, looking at this fridge full of chocolates, i'm going to get some to enjoy now~~ :D |

Good morning SK...
ReplyDeleteI loves chocolates too... kakaka....
DeleteSame, same, i do not like it after put in the fridge and it harden...
DeleteHave a great week ahead...
DeleteI keep chocolates in the fridge because I believe ants wont attack them in there. I have this mentality that food left in the open will attract ants, no matter what they are so fridge is always the safest place :D
ReplyDeleteI have the same thinking, too, Merryn. Open-aired item will kena ambushed by the ants and lizards. If I have unfinished food, I usually will find an air-tight box to keep them. This goes to bread, cakes and biscuits, although some don't really need to be air-tighted.
DeleteI reckon.... I always scared my choclates will be eaten by the ants... Yucks!
Deletethe fridge looks like ine...only it's not fill with chocolates LOL
ReplyDeleteBut one compartment of my fridge have all sorts of choclates la...
Deletethose with alcohol ones iput in fridge else will melt though in room temreture. Weather so hot nowadays...even under room tempreture those choc will melt la. die die have to put into fridge. what to do....
in old days those choc, dried seafood and cooked people put in "Woon kwai"( cabinet for dishes) but nowadays everything sumbat into the fridge lor.
DeleteMy MIL lagi terror. got 3 fridges. one is solely freezer.....
Meow all those alcohol chocolates have very short life span to retain its freshness!!! Quick give them to me and Thambee to finish for you since Kaldip, Meow and j are not alcohol lovers!! Muahahahahaha
DeleteOMG!!! Your MIL must be feeding many elephants at home!!!
DeleteYour MIL doesn't encounter space constraint with 3 fridges? OMG, she terror la. Last time my mom wanted to keep her old fridge when she purchased a new one. But ended up giving out the old one to my uncle. We are not living in a bungalow, dei.
DeleteOld people like to keep and stash things one.
DeleteSame thing for fridge.
They'll keep things dunno for what... leftover food mostly.
My fridge is mostly filled with drinks. Lots of drinks. Cold plain water, cold isotonics....
Not much food. As we are a small family, we only buy what we need to cook for the week/weekend and that's not really that much. ^^
Chocolates - I need to restock my kit-kat stash. Last Sunday no kit-kat to eat.... wuuuwuuuwuu
Hmmm...that seems to describe my missus. Old people, ya? LOL!!!
Deleteeven J love alcohol choc la Anay...so next time if you go overseas *hint hint* LOL
DeleteMIL house have many people la. My SIL already family of 6. 3 fridge also not enough coz MIL likes to cook in bulk then freeze it. Later as and when needed just defrost and reheat to eat lor. Tiring la to cook daily.
Mine fridge mostly dried goods. Those dried shrimps, oyster, preserved vege...all sumbat into the fridge coz cant put outside else they turn modly. Those dried shrimps and oyster and sotong darn expensive leh...
Yikes.....at STP comment now am feeling "old" already LOL
Good morning, SK and all! Wow, look at those chocolates! Well, I don't believe putting chocolates in the fridge. If it's really too soft, I would just put in for a short while. If it's left in the fridge for too long, I would just take it out and let it for a while so that it has soften a bit. I always prefer soft chocolate than harden ones.
ReplyDeleteBut I do put bread in the fridge if it's almost expiring and I couldn't finish it on time. If that's the case, I would toast the bread before I consume it. Otherwise, I usually take bread without toasting.
DeleteSometimes I do put biscuits in the fridge. I like harden biscuits. But I have a small fridge solely for my Fitline supplements which are in powder form. Just to keep them fresh and prevent them from hardening.
DeleteFruits are a must-put items in the fridge besides all my vegetables.
DeleteGood morning SK and everyone!
ReplyDeleteBlue Monday huh? School reopens today, I bet most parents are busy sending their kids to school lo~
Wow, chocolaty topic! Me like! Cause I am a big fan of chocolates! But then, the illustration in the photo is too much already la! Where got people store so much chocolates in the fridge? Unless he is running a chocolate shop business la! LOL!
DeleteSome chocolates can keep for a long time in the fridge, but if it's my fridge, then the chocolates will be gone very quickly, haha!
DeleteOf course I am afraid of the calories la! So whenever I had too much chocolate, I'll workout more!
I heard dark chocolate is actually very good for health..
But then again, I don't mind having chocolates as tea time, then make a pot of Chinese tea is a good choice, to wash away the fats later on, hehehe.. (I know choclates with Chinese tea sounds a bit weird :p)
DeleteNow I also wanna go have some chocolates already, the green tea flavored Kit Kat you gave still in the fridge, ;)
DeleteHave a nice day ya!
I just ate it - the green tea Kit Kat from Japan. Not sweet, very nice!!! And guess what! I saw it being sold at a supermarket here!!! Will buy a pack when I drop by again...if it's not too expensive.
DeleteHayley loves chocolates alot.
DeleteSTP,
DeleteA packet of 12 or so (the party pack) cost around RM22.90 for that Kit-Kat Green Tea.
Cheaper if they are on "reduce to clear" shelf. hehehe
I like the feel of soft oozing chocolate in the mouth. Gosh, does this sound obscene? haha..
ReplyDeleteWe all know that chocolates have a certain ingredient that makes us happy, let's not go into scientific terms and all. Suffice to say that no wonder so many people love chocolates - for that feel-good feeling. On the other hand, it can't be psychological, can it? Happy Monday!
I also have lots of chocolates in my freezer and they can never finish. The new boxes keep coming in from overseas. Sometimes I wondered if my face looks like a chocolate lover?
ReplyDeleteWhy annay put chocolate in freezer? Put in the fridge area is enough, no? I don't store chocolate at home, maybe a few bars of kit kat. The consumption rate at home is very low, usually I'm quite full after dinner and no time for snacking.
DeleteI store all my chocolate supply in my office drawer. But now it's quite hard to snack because I've got eyes peeping behind, remember?
Kesian Ah Hua,
DeleteNow cannot snack freely. Aiyoh, life at work is so restrictive now!
I hope Ah Hua Boss goes to a lot of meetings so that he can leave her in peace a lot of times. :)
new box kept coming in ah? got alcohol ones or not...kasi mali la if you cannot finish LOL
DeleteMy freezer no more space...full of ice tray and keropok lekor from last trip back kampung
I agree that frozen chocolates taste horrible and could break my teeth but I have no safe place outside to keep ants and rats away.
ReplyDeleteAnay,
DeleteDon't bluff la.
Your bungalow sure got pest control come every month to spray all those critters away right? :P
Annay can spray his white fertilizer (which he grows mushroom) to kill the ants, muahahaha!
DeleteToo much collegen, the ants can't take it and die instantly.
What bungalow you talking about? Mine's is just rumah papan teres 2 tingkat dei. I use groupon's cockroach repellent device and plug to the wall socket. It will radiate the irritating frequency to send all cockroaches to my neighbour's houses!
DeleteLOL....that white fertilizer cannot simply spray punya, Ah Hua.
Deletewhy la u go freeze the choclate, Anay?? Put in fridge normal compartment enough la...adoi pengsan
No wonder you go dentist so often...eat too much frozen chocolates :p
DeleteLong ago chocolate bars sold in sundry shops used to have maggots even before expiry dates. I think the ingredients have been modified and lasts longer.
ReplyDeletePengsan seeing those choc in the fridge. Bananaz no got sweet tooth
ReplyDeleteOk, noted. Next time I go KL I bring you some of my chocolates. Lots in the fridge but I'm cutting down on sweet stuff these days. Wanna come to Sibu and get them yourself? Come! Come!
ReplyDeleteDon't forget to cut down on salt also.
DeleteAnd processed food.
Not to mention flavour enhancer.
All are not good for health.
:)
Pure chocolates like Dark 80% ones are very good for our hearts. We will not put on weight by eating less sugar chocolates. It was being reported many times by doctors and nutritionists globally.
DeleteI had a piece of godiva dark choc. Kaldip bought last time a box...got the 50%, 75% 85% and duno what la....but i find the 75% cocoa is best for me...the 85% ones after eating a piece I get sore throat. Too heaty maybe
DeleteI wish to own that fridge!! I love, love chocolate very much! The Tans love chocolate :D
ReplyDeleteI will get broke eating chocolate if I don't control myself.
chocolates reminds me of my childhood,
ReplyDeleteback when my father was still a seaman
he used to bring us home a lot of chocolates varieties
all kinds of it which I really do miss now
well, i think chocolate wasn't really
ReplyDeletebest for my health but it was just
too irresistible!
the first chocolate i liked was crunchy and kisses
ReplyDeletebut as time goes by it shifted from
brands to brands, but i think as of now
i like sneakers most of all
hmm chocolates are best if its from the fridge
ReplyDeletebut yet, soft of frozen the taste were equally
pleasing
anyway if ever I would have chocolates as much as that?
ReplyDeleteI'm probably having toothache and worse
i might be diabetic haha
have a great day and happy blogging sk
ReplyDeletetake the best of care and god bless you
我唔食得,所以完全冇興趣。
ReplyDeleteWow..whose fridge is that? My kids will love this fridge very much! I love chocs too...esp after dinner, i will take one small square to melt in my mouth...
ReplyDeleteGood evening pretty ladies and smart gentlemen. First of all I must thank you for this 好朱古力 topic. I really need it tremendously today. Morning was busy with meetings and 2 piles of documents for me to verify. Tsk Tsk Tsk.
ReplyDeleteI was given a piece of luxury "Patchi" chocolate today. It really makes me forget how busy I am today. Chocolate makes me feel relax. I love the way it melt in my mouth than biting it.
DeleteThen, now a "chocolate" topic save my day for the second time. SK, so coincidence eh?
I like Godiva ones better than Patchi. Patchi feels... less luxurious. ;)
DeleteI've tasted Godiva and Royce - Japan brand chocolate.
DeleteRoyce are now everywhere here dy.
DeleteLast time when just opened in MV, everyone swarmed the place.
The one in Bangsar already downsized its shop.
But of course it's nice la...
Angeline,
DeleteYou know Japan very well.
Tried Chez Lui chocs? The shop is in Daikanyama.
They are heavenly. ^^
Tried Chez Lui? I never heard of that... I only know Royce and the "Koibito" sandwich biscuit leh from Japan... I love it very much...
DeleteLina, do you know which one I'm talking about? they packed in two diff packets one. Dark green - chocolate biscuit and white one is original flavor. Sedap lar. I can finish all by my ownself... No share share leh.
DeleteOops, I love Kit Kat in green tea flavor too.
DeleteChez Lui is a popular French Patisserie in Tokyo. I thought you would have heard about it...
DeleteThe rest of the chocs you mentioned... that one normal la...
First time tasting it. So far tasted Kit Kat - from Japan in Green Tea and Strawberry flavors...
DeleteChez Lui, sounds so grand lor. Got chance will try it... Will keep the brand name in my mind. Thnx.
DeleteIt's nice.
DeleteYou all talk like Green Tea kit-kat is the best Japan has to offer. Sure, it's interesting. But as I'm sure you know, Japan comes out with seasonal flavour Kit-Kat other than the green tea too.
Just saying chocolates in Japan is nice because of that one green tea flavour doesn't do justice to the chocolate industry in Japan!
Hey! This is the country who clebrates Valentine's Day and White Day! ;)
Haiya, Lina. I'm bodek-ing SK's Kit Kat green tea flavor, my dear. Remember he gave us a little bento snack? Muahaha....
DeleteJapan I'm sure there are many many brands, you should know a lot more than me. *_^
14th Feb & 14th Mac right?
DeleteAngeline - We can learn about Japanese Culture and chocolate eating from this Mamasan Lina who has walked on every street in Tokyo over the years! There is no onsen or sento she has not left her DNA there too! LOL
DeleteI wish some expert on world's chocolates industry could tell me which countries have the best chocolates. I often heard Belgian ones rank Top 3. What about the other 2?
DeleteCould it Swiss chocolates? Another one im not sure anymorw.
DeleteLooking at the photo you posted today, I think who own that fridge really freaking me out... Too many chocolates ler. Crazy eh?
ReplyDeleteHmm, besides Mars, snickers, cadbury in the fridge... There are those Square packs of Ritter Sport from Germany, stacking up in blue, purple, red and so on. This Ritter taste very good too. Langkawi can get it very cheap with many varieties of flavor.
DeleteToo much chocolates really make us fat ler... CONTROL!
DeleteI prefer semi sweet chocolate and also bitter chocolate. I don't like it to be too sweet.
DeleteTalking about fridge, I agreed that chocolate do not need to be stores inside the fridge to preserved longer consuming time. But harden chocolate better no no no... Gigi pun boleh patah...
ReplyDeleteI have a mini fridge in my room. Storing medicine, vitamins, mineral water, some chocolates too. Hehehe...
DeleteWah! At first I thought that fridge belongs to you! So many chocolates!!
ReplyDeleteYeah I also like my chocs melt in my mouth. But it's OK to put in the fridge. Later I just let it sit out in room temperature and it will melt easily in my mouth.
ReplyDeleteNowadays I prefer dark chocs. Normal chocs have too much sugar content for them to be healthy.
ReplyDelete不大好巧克力所以一份都会吃很久~~
ReplyDeleteThere's a lot of chocolates in the picture!!! I love to chocolate in my fridge, but I don't like it taste like rock!!!
ReplyDeleteBut due to Malaysia's hot weather, so we can't leave it outside of fridge lol!!! Plus...my house has a lot of ants, I have to fight with the ants for the chocolate!!! =[
ReplyDeleteYou make me want to have some chocolate right now...but have to control...if not later get diabetes!!! =[
ReplyDeleteI am not really a chocolate lover. I don't buy chocolate often, unless I am oversea and dropping by Duty Free Shop. If my fridge has chocolate, I will also pop one or two a day in my mouth.
ReplyDeleteI am forever on diet person, so I will quickly finish of all the chocolate by giving away to friends or relatives.
I am not really getting tempted if my friends snacking on chocolate or ice-cream. Thank God. Ah hua always snacked with chocolate.
Delete
