just before the school holidays, i saw some blogger parents wrote about their kids' results at school, coincidentally when i was looking for some old documents in my cabinet last night, i accidentally found this - my primary school academic results card!! wow, this is really an antique, started using this since 1984 when i was in year one till 1989 in year six, i've lost count how many years in history it is now, haha!! and i shall say my results were quite good, consistently within top 7 in the class and average marks for the subjects were well over 90%, but i think i've scored lots of C for music (see subject codes) huh?? hehe.. anyway, like i always say, being excellent as a kid may not mean i am good when as i grew up.. this results card just means good memory to me, that is why i still have it so well kept~~ :D |

Good morning, good morning, good morning!
ReplyDeleteMy, what a breezy new template you have this month, plus your new yeng look on the masthead and profile. Nice!
Btw, is that a nut (err.. coconut) you are whispering to? hehe..
Showoff!
DeleteKidding, of course! But then again, your grades are to be proud of. I bet your parents must be very proud and relieved not to be stressed out about their son's grades.
DeleteIt's marvellous that you still have records from those days. You sure have foresight, like as though you knew then that you'll have it to blog about later on. Just like it's said, nothing happens by chance, eh?
Good morning SK...
ReplyDeleteI never take Malay language in school...
ReplyDeleteWahhhhhhh!!!! So clever!!! Wait till you see mine. All red colour one, so beautiful. Hehehehehehe!!!!!
ReplyDeleteGood morning, Ah Boy SK!
ReplyDeleteWah! You scored with (almost) flying colors during your primary school. Ah Boy is still doing well in his adulthood now :)
But I believe how well we excel in our studies doesn't determine how good we'll doing in our life. I mean, of course a bright student will get better chance in terms of career, society and love life. But the most important, I reckon is the attitude and upbringing of a person that will determine his/her success.
DeleteI agree with you. Of course we must get good education but it won't guarantee us happiness.
DeleteSK is good in all-rounded. In academic, in sports and is a great person himself (how I wish to meet him and get to know him personally).
ReplyDeleteDarn, I realized I made so many grammar mistakes when I surf via smartphone. I have flower eyes already >.< The screen is so small, the keypad is so tiny, arghhh!
DeleteIs your report card 6-in-1 one? It shows result from primary 1 to primary 6?
ReplyDeleteI have individual booklet for each standard, hence there are 6 report card altogether for my primary years. I lost 2 booklet already :p
I scored mostly 'C' in my early schooling years because I didn't understand Malay. My parents enrolled me into a Sekolah Kebangsaan. I think I caught up quite fast because I saw improvement in my studied the following year. Mind you, my family wasn't luxury and can't afford to send me to tuition or so. I studied by myself and both my parents are Chinese-Ed.
DeleteAhem, Ah Hua so cleber.
I scored straight A for Maths all the time, that is the only subject that doesn't require language (at that time). But it isn't the same nowadays - my girl is required to solve maths problem, described in long long statement. The one goes some think like this, "Ali ada 5 biji gula-gula dan, blah blah blah...", you need to understand before solving it.
DeleteGood morning, SK and all! Wish I had kept all those report cards too.
ReplyDeleteIt is sad that our education system is still result oriented...
ReplyDeletewell, we have a different school card so I can't reallt
ReplyDeletedetermine your evaluation, however, the grade seems
to be really high
Wah!!! 1984 - 1989... so long ago!!! I was born in 1988!!! That time you already almost finished primary school!!! =]
ReplyDelete小影,
DeleteAre you implying SK is very old already! LOL
Just kidding SK.
Jangan marah. ;)
well in our case, we only have four grading
ReplyDeleteeach subjects which was 9 i guess,
so you can't see numbers there as much as that
Your results so good lo!!! I used to fail Malay in my primary school, that's why I have to waste one year to study peralihan!!! =[
ReplyDeletei was ranging at 6th and 7th top rank back on my highschool days
ReplyDeletei never really excel much, my notes always pulling my grades down haha i really hate writting
you really are a pack rat huh! in my case
ReplyDeletei have lost it all, i tired keeping it tho, but
my envelope which contains all of my school days
memorabilia was lost to nowhere
have a great day and happy blogging sk!
ReplyDeletetake the best of care and god bless you too
Can see that you always top 5 in the class!!! Such good kid lol!!! Mine is always after 20++!!! So embarrassing!!! =]
ReplyDeleteGood morning SK and everyone!
ReplyDeleteHello June as well! ;)
New template, new banner, like it!
1984? The year I was born, hehe..
DeleteThis is really antique! See the color of the card also faded, and I bet got one 'old odor' too?
I too keep my report cards and whatever certs during school time, in a box at my home, hehe.
You were such a good student! Can see you got quite high scores leh! (Eh the purpose of you showing this card is also to show off huh? *blek*)
DeleteBut if it's really good then it's ok to show off a bit la! xD
C for musics? Hmm what did you learn that time?
DeleteI don't remember we have music exams that time.. Music lessons got la! But just for play and fun only, no exams.
I remember I scored quite good for English during primary school, but my Maths sucks, haha xD
DeleteBut improved a lot during secondary schooling time, and Form 6 time ;)
wow.. if I have such nice results like yours, I would keep them too..unfortunately mine was very colourful one.. so I dare not keep just in case my kids see them and follow my footsteps.. hahaha...
ReplyDeleteFund managers may not like your results coz they are not favorable for investment portfolios as your highest ROI is a single digit with a peak of only 7 unlike Bananaz who scored an investment returns of double digits for 'kedudukan' most of the time haha.
ReplyDeleteAlso how I wished my papa is color blind too especially with red while showing him my report card..;),
ReplyDeleteWalaueh! Thambee so smart!!! Anay pat your head 2 times!
ReplyDeleteWhy your report card was so funny to use all the subjects in codings!!?? Poor parents have to keep looking back and forth to identify the subjects.
Anay's worst schooling results was Primary 1 and had so many Zeros. Anay kena slapped and stressed. Remember Anay's mum freaked out to see Anay kena slapped so hard that amah reported to all levels of Education offices until Ministry of Education??!! Oh I can laugh now at those traumatic years!!! LOL
ReplyDeleteSlowly my results improved year by year until my peak at Primary 6 when I was top of the class whole year. Anay so lan si by then.
ReplyDeleteI am sure SK was born a very intelligent kid. Look at the size of your water melon head!!!! I am sure your brain is bigger than mine and kuku bird's. Well, kuku bird's brain contains hamsap juice only. Wakakakakakaka
ReplyDeleteKukubird has bigger size "head" elsewhere Anay. :P
DeleteWhy you only showed this card? Was it your best? Don't tell me the other years were terrible like hell....until all bloggers might faint?? Show! Show! Show! Show! Show! Show! Show! Show! Show! Show! Show! Show! Show! Show! Show! Show! Show! Show! Show! Show! Show! Show! Show! Show! Show! Show! Show! Show! Show! Show! Show! Show! Show! Show! Show! Show! Show! Show! Show! Show! Show! Show! Show! Show! Show! Show! Show! Show! Show! Show! Show! Show! Show! Show! Show! Show! Show! Show! Show! Show!
ReplyDeleteAnay wants to faint pleaseeeeeee......!
Why all your subjects were so good including PE? I thought you were too fat that you would roll like a ball during PE?? The teacher gave you high scores pula!!! It was either rigged or teacher was Stevie Wonder!??
ReplyDeleteAnay,
DeleteYou forgot SK got show his photo with all his trophies ke? Where got fat that time. Small and cute one. ;)
When I went to secondary school, my results went up and down like share markets! Poor father's blood pressure also danced to my result's rhythms. Wakakakakaka
ReplyDeleteWhen I went to US, I changed so much! I boozed, played and partay all the time but I worked so smart and got into Honor's List many semesters. Thambee dei, Anay damn lan si again.
ReplyDelete幾時放中學成績表上嚟分享吓?!
ReplyDeleteVery good results wor. No red colour. Mine very colorful report card lol.
ReplyDeleteMight nit be able to spam much these few days. Just arrive kt. Too tired cannit zz pulak. Just niw wsnna zz...sigh.
Internet connection her very bad.. lucky neighbour internet unsecured. Can curi use a bit when they turn in modem
Woot Woot, good morning ladies and gentlemen. I'm so late here. Busy during the days earlier.
ReplyDeleteStill not too late to comment.
Delete"since 1984 when i was in year one till 1989 in year six".... I'm counting how old am I that time.
Delete1984 - I'm only 4yo...
You've got a new blogmosphere. I prefer this bright screen than those green one.
DeleteSo SK is showing us his report card eh? Very well indeed.
ReplyDelete4T, 5T and 6T gradually your scores progressively improved.
DeleteBesides looking at the scores for every subject, I noticed about the photo too. You still keep it until now. Maybe can request to keep it inside Tan Sri Anay's Museum...
DeleteSK, we have one thing in common. We both got C also for Music... Don't ask me why? I totally have no idea. I just can't read the music notes like others. But I able to play a few songs with the flute - by memorized. Damn headache.
DeleteLuckily yours turn out with improvements but not for me. Luckily Music subject was not in the UPSR list.
DeleteMajority of the subjects, you got high scores! Good Job!
DeleteTalk about my schooling time, I'm just an ordinary student. Not very smart or genius but I can still survive until the University. Hehehe....
ReplyDeletePrimary and Secondary of me, still the same. I'm in the middle class/ average student. In terms of curriculum with school activities I'm much better.
DeleteOne thing that I remember the most was, I always be the chosen one to be the classroom monitor. Almost from Std3 onwards. Moving towards the Secondary, also the same thing. Most of my friends know that I'm a good classroom monitor kua... always choose me one.
DeleteProbably I'm good in arrangement and scheduled whenever the form teacher is not around. Good also lar...I able to control the classroom from making noise... HAHAHA.
Delete"Sesiapa yang buat bising, saya akan catat nama"
me too me too, all As student for UPSR and 7 As for PMR but when SPM.....haiz :(
ReplyDeleteYannie also very proud, always tell my girls about how good my academy result when I was young.
ReplyDeleteI was a good student since primary to secondary. One of the top 5 students. I love studying.
I think SK loves studying too. People who love studying, has not much problem in their studies.
Good result will not guarantee you wealth or happiness or wisdom, but academy result is still important to shape a person life.
So, I always put a lot of attention my girls' studies.
