just before the school holidays, i saw some blogger parents wrote about their kids' results at school, coincidentally when i was looking for some old documents in my cabinet last night, i accidentally found this - my primary school academic results card!! wow, this is really an antique, started using this since 1984 when i was in year one till 1989 in year six, i've lost count how many years in history it is now, haha!! and i shall say my results were quite good, consistently within top 7 in the class and average marks for the subjects were well over 90%, but i think i've scored lots of C for music (see subject codes) huh?? hehe.. anyway, like i always say, being excellent as a kid may not mean i am good when as i grew up.. this results card just means good memory to me, that is why i still have it so well kept~~ :D

  1. Good morning, good morning, good morning!

My, what a breezy new template you have this month, plus your new yeng look on the masthead and profile. Nice!

    1. Kidding, of course! But then again, your grades are to be proud of. I bet your parents must be very proud and relieved not to be stressed out about their son's grades.

It's marvellous that you still have records from those days. You sure have foresight, like as though you knew then that you'll have it to blog about later on. Just like it's said, nothing happens by chance, eh?

    1. But I believe how well we excel in our studies doesn't determine how good we'll doing in our life. I mean, of course a bright student will get better chance in terms of career, society and love life. But the most important, I reckon is the attitude and upbringing of a person that will determine his/her success.

    2. I agree with you. Of course we must get good education but it won't guarantee us happiness.

  6. Is your report card 6-in-1 one? It shows result from primary 1 to primary 6?

I have individual booklet for each standard, hence there are 6 report card altogether for my primary years. I lost 2 booklet already :p

    1. I scored mostly 'C' in my early schooling years because I didn't understand Malay. My parents enrolled me into a Sekolah Kebangsaan. I think I caught up quite fast because I saw improvement in my studied the following year. Mind you, my family wasn't luxury and can't afford to send me to tuition or so. I studied by myself and both my parents are Chinese-Ed.

      Ahem, Ah Hua so cleber.

    2. I scored straight A for Maths all the time, that is the only subject that doesn't require language (at that time). But it isn't the same nowadays - my girl is required to solve maths problem, described in long long statement. The one goes some think like this, "Ali ada 5 biji gula-gula dan, blah blah blah...", you need to understand before solving it.

  19. Fund managers may not like your results coz they are not favorable for investment portfolios as your highest ROI is a single digit with a peak of only 7 unlike Bananaz who scored an investment returns of double digits for 'kedudukan' most of the time haha.

  35. Yannie also very proud, always tell my girls about how good my academy result when I was young.

I was a good student since primary to secondary. One of the top 5 students. I love studying.

I think SK loves studying too. People who love studying, has not much problem in their studies.

Good result will not guarantee you wealth or happiness or wisdom, but academy result is still important to shape a person life.

So, I always put a lot of attention my girls' studies.
