13.06.2013 | 洗髮泡泡

[Volume 8 Issue 6, #1736]
i like to have lots of foam when i am shampooing my hair, it feels more real (though not necessarily cleaner) this way.. i used to think that to have more foam then more shampoo is needed, but instead that's just wasteful.. why not try to experiment this "shampoo saving" method when you are back home later?? start with 2-3 drops of shampoo, rub evenly on your hair for about 10 seconds, rinse your hair and then use another 2-3 drops of shampoo to "officially" wash your hair.. you will noticed that, after the so-called pre-wash, you just need very little shampoo because the grease and dirt on the surface of your hair has already been washed away, making it easier to shampoo and there is never less foam either!! read this from the newspaper years back, perhaps anyone may have better idea on this?? things are surely getting more and more expensive, sharing your tips would be beneficial to all readers for sure~~ :)
[note] since my hair is short, i just need about 2 drops of shampoo.. if you have longer hair, you may need more shampoo and longer pre-wash.. this is not science and so no exact amount or time is correct, just follow what your heart tells you~~ :)

  2. Oh pre wash? Din't know there's this method!
But then, is it really more savings? Feels like it'll be slightly wasteful, cause we may pour more shampoo during the second time, I mean hard to determine how much la!

My hairs are long, I always use like 50 cents size shampoo, hehe. I also love lots of foam, can really wash more thoroughly!

    2. The more foams, the cleaner and smell nicer! But of course it requires more shampoo la, so not very recommended la right? Like you say, things are getting expensive, must learn to save a bit...

    3. waste?? this is actually saving lah, instead of using more shampoo, i am just using a couple of small drops (i have to stressed here: drops and not squirts like we normally do) for the prewash, and then follow by another couple of small drops and my hair is cleaned.. quite effective one ah~~ :p

    7. Actually I prefer to use soap to wash my hair too. I have oily scalp and only sabun can clean my head leaving all fresh and non greasy. I know soap is not really good for our head because our scalp will turn very dry due to the ingredient used in soap.

wah...2-3 drops ah...my hair so long at least 2-3 "squirt" lor.

Yea when I have time i do that too ...first round cincai wash and rinse then second round will be longer wash including scrub the scalp.

You have had hair saloon hair wash before right? some shampoo girls really gila one...claws the scalp till so painful.

actually no need to do that. It's bad for the scalp. By right must use finger tips and gentlely rub away the dirt from the scalp

Yea I like with a lot of buble too. Nowadays got all types of shampoos ...some say no need bubble one and yet will leave the hair clean but for me, well, i guess am old fashion la. No bubble dont eel like clean la. same goes for bath soap

Next time show me where to get strong and powerful finger(nail)s. I wanna go and get clawed.

    1. I don't use a lot of shampoo as it takes more time to rinse it. Anyway, my hair is not really dirty as I stay in the shop most of the time.

      Delete
    2. Depends on our own situation.

      Delete
    3. yeah, sometimes when the hair gets really greasy and dirty, and especially that i apply some styling wax, the prewash really helps to wash away the dirty surface before a real shampoo..

      Delete
  12. Yes SK, what you said is completely true.. if shampoo, then rinse and then shampoo again, the 2nd time the latter was doubly and triply more.. hahaha... anyway, i dont do that often cos one time is enough.. :)

  14. Pre wash, I learnt this method from saloon long time ago. Some saloon didn't, because it is waste of time and energy to rinse again and wash again. Tedious job and still charge you RM20 or more for wash+blow!

    1. I pratice this method and realized that my shampoo can last for a very long time.

Guys hair need pre wash to clean all dirt from any hair gel, wax or liquid.

    3. Kids also no need pre wash.

    4. Ladies need pre wash too. Especially those with medium long hair.

      Delete
    5. true lah, unless really cannot lather foam then i think the salon also need to prewash already, haha.. you are true, i think guys hair are more greasy and hence trap dirt more.. somemore we also uses styling products on our hair, so prewash really is quite necessary..

      Delete
  15. I reckon, pre wash, do not need lots of shampoo, 2-3 drops is enough. The reason for pre wash is to clean dirt and oil from scalp... Rinse away and then wash the hair again. Hair is much cleaner, smell nicer and maintain a good healthy hair and scalp.

    1. One time washing, we intend to pour more shampoo instead. Because we have the concept, pour more, hair will be more clean... Day by day, that bottle can only last for a month.

      Delete
    2. Well it also depends how many times you wash your hair. My hair is short my shampoo can last 2-3mths for 400ml.

      Delete
    3. Applying conditioner has a method too. Do not need much; same 2-3 drops will do. Conditioner is too apply on hair, NOT to rub on the scalp.

      Delete
    4. ah, exactly what i wanted to say.. instead of using lots of shampoo.. just use 2-3 drops for a prewash to wash away the surface grease and dirt, and then the hair is good enough to be even shampoo again with just another 2-3 drops of shampoo.. that's what i say saving shampoo~~ hmmmm, you are right, conditioner is for hair and not the scalp, unless you are using scalp treatment cream..
