ReplyDeleteGood morning, SK, everyone else!
Thanks Happy Surfer for your greeting. My birthday is really happy because of the greetings that i received.
Deletewah, saw what's angpow on top on the pile there. :-)
ReplyDeletehahaha..clever hor of Anay. Print own angpau paper. More personalised
DeleteSo what's your grand total? Come, book a ticket with the money and come and visit me in Sibu!
ReplyDeleteDid you say 'blessing them'? I thought it would be more like the recipient being blessed - that is why the monetary amount is not as important as the hongbao itself being referred to as lai-see as in lai-lai see-see. No?
ReplyDeleteThe angpow packet is very important to keep. That is the blessing for you from the person who gave you the angpow.
Delete呢個做法我都唸過,不過到咗半年緊急關頭通常都唔work!哈哈
ReplyDeleteGood morning, Ah Boy! Have you deposit your angpow's money into the bank? Follow Hot Mama's advice, must choose the most prosperous-looking cashier (or machine?) as today is a good day to bank-in $$$ and huat later!
ReplyDeletemust be queueing up in front of the bank now la. That's why no time to reply comments hahaha
DeleteMuahahahaha! I have passed the job to my jin jin. According to the fengshui master, you can try to pinjam the jamban in the bank. Go to the bank jamban, bring back a small bottle of the pipe water. Keep it in your house, you will be blessed with lots of wealth through out the year. Then, you can also drink the water if you want to get wealth for the rest of your life. This last statement I added one,
DeleteThis task, to pinjam jamban in the bank is quite impossible leh. The security guard will looks at you fiercely if you ever asked for, "Pinjam toilet kejap, Abang Guard?".
DeleteThe toilet is usually located inside the office and they don't simply allow strangers into it, Unless you have emergency case, like lau-sai :p
MBB in Midvalley use jamban in the mall, I think. Betul tak?
DeleteSo use MidValley jamban, can ah? wakaka
errr drink that water ah....errr...scare scare la...reminds me of the bones in my office tanki LOL
Deletecan la pinjam jamban in the bank...if ask nicely they will pinjam one...guard purposely look fierce mah.
Eh If that is the case Bank Jamban no good...coz it's in RM mah...must pinjam jamban from gold shop la...those poh kong ...tomei...gold price will only increase and no decrease geh while RM fluctuate one.
Good morning, SK and all! Oh, I received ang pows from my mum and god MIL. I gave a lot without counting. It's only once in a year. My kids received not much. Do you believe they don't even have over RM100 each? Well, my people gave very little, Rm6 or less. I gave max RM20 but I gave my kids more definitely.
ReplyDeleteOh, angpow consists RM5 is considered standard in my town here. When my daughter received RM10 angpow, she smiled from ear to ear.
DeleteI also give RM5... stingy Ah Hua. But hey, it's the thought that counts, yes?
I agree, RM5 is the standard in my house too. Kekeke! My kids still received angpow at RM2 and RM4. Never mind, it is just a blessing in the angpow, and not so much the value of it.
DeleteI still received angpow from my Auntie and my big sister.
I will keep these two angpows for very a long time then only I realized I need to open it.
This year I happily gave out ang pows the most and no qualms. I believe the more I give will be the more I receive. It apllies to everything we do in life.
DeleteUse toilet and collect bank water? How interesting dei! I know that it would be good to deposit money and donate to charity would be great. I will sit inside the bank for half hour and inhale the money chi.
Deleteaiyo...angpau market rate is high...min rm5...
DeleteJ didnt receive much angpau la but the amount is big numbers . Probably coz its the only child so people tend to give more instead of RM5.
Ya kids tend to be excited to see the number.
haiz...this year J opps one time...an auntie gave him angpau and he opened immeiately. Before that have told him cannot open but guess he la k of sleep and too excited. Paiseh betul
Good morning SK and everyone.
ReplyDeleteI see a very special angpau there :)
I have not open angpau yet... not sure how much the grand total the boy have
But last night super paiseh coz the boy too hyper and opened an angpau in front of the giver...haiyo...
Keeping angpau to next year baru open? Hmm...good also la.. Hey...tha means you be keeping the special angpau packs from Lina lor..the ones given to your dad. Yes...good t keep as it's "Lai lai si si" Everything go smoothly
Meow, my girl also opened her angpow in front of the giver and said out loud the content. I was so embarrassed and quickly shooed her to keep quiet.
Deleteya wor...maybe kids too tired and excited la
Delete"how many angpows have you given or received this year?". I have 'output' and 'input', with more input than output, hehehehe!
ReplyDeleteI received angpows solely from my parents and in laws, but I'm the keeper for my kids' angpow too, leaving little amount for them to keep underneath their pillow and the rest is deposited into the bank.
my output is usually more than input coz only one child mah while others have more. LOL
DeleteSK said Ang Pow Mari...Anay said Ang Pow pergi..! Lol
ReplyDeleteEh! Why my ang pow on top one ah? Is it the smallest amount floats on top and biggest sink heavily below?
ReplyDeleteMy kids also same like u.. wait till 15th day then baru buka ang pau.. As for me, I will keep the remainder for next year.. no angpows to count.. :)
ReplyDeleteOh on second thoughts, got.... Count what I have given out.. not received.. hahaha..the other way round..
ReplyDeleteGot 6 angpows this year oh yeah have not open them yet. There is one particular angpow given by my grand Aunt which Bananaz will keep it unopened for third year already.
ReplyDeleteAh boy ar... You have received enough ang pows over the years, it's time to give to people lo! (Hint hint :p)
ReplyDeleteThis year I have given quite a lot of ang pows, cause most friends also have babies already.. (Big hole in the pocket but not mine la, haha xD)
DeleteI know what you mean by keeping the money til the following year, something like 年年有余, good boy!
Deletei received nothing haha
ReplyDeleteas you know, it wasn't really celebrated here
tho i wish i did receive any haha
you sure has a lot of ang pows huh
ReplyDeleteyou even got that personalize on
that one with your name on it
so how much in total did you get?
ReplyDeletehaha is there any average content at each
ang pow for grown ups and kiddos?
so after all it's good to be flower boy huh
ReplyDeleteyou get to receive ang pows without giving others
haha greedy!
that is quite a habit sk, haha
ReplyDeletewell it would be a torture to me
i mean you would wait a year to open
that? haha my curiosity will kill me
I feel sick this day so i would pass on too much
ReplyDeletespamming ok haha
but perhaps on your next post
have a great day and happy bloggin to you sk
ReplyDeletetake the best of care and god bless you
i thought angpows are only for married ones????
ReplyDeletei love that idea ... opening the angpows from last year instead of the current one ... apart from the excitement of knowing what's inside..the concept of checking that they had given you last year is very overwhelming
ReplyDelete今年换的800大元都去到7788了 =.="
ReplyDeletehahah If I receive ang pao, at the same day I open it and view it. Not sure got bad meaning or not because I saw many people post that they open ang pao right after CNY which is right after 15th day of CNY . . . . huhuhu
ReplyDeleteI will feel kinda hand itchy if I don open my ang pao for this year because I might use them to buy snack and sweet drinks for myself hehehehe :P
ReplyDeleteyah CNY is finally over, on that 15th day I makan dinner with parent . . . makan vegetarian hahaha XD on that day itself also receive some ang pao from other relatives hehehe
