CHOPPPPPP!!!!!
ReplyDeleteYaaaaa.....I'm FC today! Hehehehehe!!!!
DeleteYes, I agree with you on this. Don't they have cctv's all over the place? Not enough? And one would have to go and get the seals cut before leaving, so troublesome...plus all that plastic being used isn't all the good for the environment, not at all.
DeleteIf they are so overly worried, maybe they should seal our pockets too? Lots of things, we can just slip into our pockets if we want. Don't they have those detectors at their exits as well? This is really too much - best to just leave and shop elsewhere...and never come back again.
DeleteIf TM sees your CHOP again, he will nag about chicken chop again, haha
DeleteSTP ba k from his mission of kampua tasting ! Lol
DeleteThat's why I prefer to shop at the big J ....They are more pleasant !
DeleteChris yes! I shop at J too, almost every week..
DeleteWah ... same as me too. I go almost weekly.
DeleteWah! I go to J everyday. Sometimes twice a day cos I have big business there. Chris you need to change diet and add fruits to your Bento. You only go to J almost weekly. Aiyo! Unhealthy la. No wonder your fart is smelly.
DeleteLook at STP size! He eats 3-4 plates of Chicken CHOPS!
DeleteNot Kampua Noodle CHOPS meh....Congrats to you STP being the FC for today. Somehow, CCTV might be just pretending but no records... so for precaution. Yah is rude for doing that but sometimes hor people is very hard to predict. Guess who will responsible for any loss?
Deletei sokong STP on "If they are so overly worried, maybe they should seal our pockets too?". Betul betul betul.
DeleteAnyway if they only use the tie i still can accept la. some they went and use big plastic bag and wrap. There was a certain "Seifor" hypermarket here that used to wrap people bag with plastic bag. aiyo...after wrap how la to carry the bag
Morning!! Guess heard you mentioned about this last week in fb, yah! I don't like this thing also, I felt quite annoying, if want to take something from inside then got cut it, super troublesome...
ReplyDeleteYah, especially for those who really want to steal anything, there's nothing can stop them, they can steal hide anywhere they want, can watch in news or youtube, they can hide inside clothes or bring masking tape, stick on their body or hide mana mana also...instead guess they should think of other better way to settle it instead of using this method!
Delete小影, hi you're early today. Ya I saw in SK's FB status too mentioning this annoying think.
DeleteIf to compare with the 5cents thingy, this security guard is even more polite by asking you "Sir can I tie your bag?"
Good morning Xiao Ying. Long time no see.
DeleteYes it is anonying leh. Hmmm..also will have to depend on the guard's attitude. Some guard are so rude when wanna tie people bag. those i will just walk away. but if those guards that are polite and i need to buy things from there , then i will let it be
Or, don't you just hate it when shops have their sales assistants following you around?
ReplyDeleteNot to help or assist... but to make sure you don't buy anything.
My son once complained of a staff following him and I told him, in front of the girl and in a clear voice that she expected my son to steal something, So there!
Oh that is my pet hate when I shop! I cannot stand it when the shop assistant follows me around. When that happens, I just walk out and never come back.
DeletePhong - yeah , I also hate those sales assistant sticking to you like you are a thief. And some keep asking you what you want especially in a small shop. They thought they are doing their work but actually irritating their clients.
DeleteLMAO! Wakakakaka... This Mak Glam betul garang and straight forward. I would normally tell them "Thanks, I won't steal today"...
DeleteYa, I've been as a promoter too. I don;t follow my customer all the time. I will approach them for the first time, if the customer request they wanted and will see on their own without my assistant I'll just leave it to them and in the other way, I'll offer my help if they need me.
DeleteI kena before....so damn geram leh.
DeleteFollow u around like you are a theif or unwanted customer or too poor to buy things from their shop is bad enough....but a certain shop in a mall in kelana jaya takes the cakes.
i went there ...okay la...auntie look...selekeh....the shop assistant bring broom and tadah sampah...everywhere i walk she follow and sapu.
So damn geram i emailed their HQ. HQ reply say they stock take in morning, AFternoon baru open the shop . Hence the assistant sapu lantai., Come on la...if the shop not clean yet then dont open shop. I was there and i see the lantain was clean. another lady walked in and the assistant followed that lady...so what is the excuse? customer brings dirt to shop ah?
Another panas issue from SK today.
ReplyDeleteI wonder whether there'll be a third one in the series? hehehe
Probably will be the sushi tempura or nasi lemak sushi gua....
DeleteAlready a third one! May be got fourth? If SK can think of the topic.. ;)
Deletechinese saying got one means got two and got two means got three...LOL...but end up salah...next post bees issue
DeleteAnyways, know this won't count but...
ReplyDeleteHave a happy Friday, despite the sad news and tragedy that befell our Malaysian Airlines and the passengers & crews. :(
Is not happy at all, can't even sleep, I got to office around 7am...sad~~~
DeleteI was so shocked and very sad when my partner told me the news this morning :(
DeleteI read the news yesterday, almost can't fall into sleep...sigh...
DeleteIt was all over FB around 11pm..
DeleteI got the news from CNN at first..as breaking news
DeleteI don't want to go to fb ..... its all over there especially the pictures.
DeleteI was thinking about booking air tickets last night and kept dragging on undecided. Suddenly this news broke out and hell broke loose! I was so shocked and sad with sleepless night. We don't know the victims, but we still grieve and feel sad for everyone! We are good humans here but why the rebels cannot be like us? CB Separatists!... So hard to breathe la. Tolong!
DeleteSo who's having bad luck here... pity them... Eaarly morning got this shocking and sad news...
DeleteI actually won't go to those kind of supermarkets unless I have to.
ReplyDeleteYah, me too!
DeleteI also avoid big hypermarkets because they are too big sized and I hate pushing the trolleys from one end to another without crashing onto other aunties! The food ingredients are cheap but the clothes are mostly poor quality. I wonder why this SK Thambee went there? Maybe he wanted to buy condoms... muahahahaha
Deletesame here but sometimes need o have the said item and no nearby supermarket or shop that sells that so forced to go in.
DeleteWah, yau mou kau chor, I'm just late for a few minutes and already got 7 comments jor ahh..
ReplyDeleteSTP, you are back, good morning !! Missed you for the past few days..
DeleteI saw this update in FB, and SK was complaining about the tags.. He said he'd rather not go into the supermarket.. But eh, takkan that day only you realized you need to tie the bags? I knew it long time ago, and frankly, I had no problem with it leh..
DeleteHe's back from Kuching already...so can come over to chop chop here liao!
DeleteProbably you said like that and insisted you don't wana go inside coz the things you wanted to buy is not very important izzit.. If like me, family outing, with 2 kids, wana go buy house stuffs, then I don't mind la if they wana tie my bags (not my handbags, but other plastic bags which are the stuffs bought from other shops)..
DeleteExample, that day we memang plan wana go buy house stuffs like detergent, Milo, paper rolls, kid's yogurt, cheese and all.. Then of coz, by hook or crook, we have to buy it also la.. Coz we only shop once a week.. Tie bags or not, still go la..
DeleteThey never tie my tote bags la.. They only tie other plastic bags which contains stuffs I bought from other shops..
DeleteEh, if like this, then you can go to the supermarket first, buy all the things you want, then put in your car.. Then come back again and shop in other shops la.. Then nobody will tie your bags lor?
DeleteBut so far, only one supermarket did this to me la, the one starts with G.. Other supermarkets ok, no such rules..
DeleteThen super ma fan la, have to walk all the way back to parking lot (our parking lot not quite safe, later kena mark by people then more shui)
DeleteUsually if I am carrying a plastic bag, I will tie it up myself before I enter the supermarket. I remember back in the old days at Giant, they have those people who will do spot checks when you leave the supermarket.
DeleteBig T also did that.
DeleteAt least none insist put your stuff in clear plastic anymore right?
DeleteLast time C did it which is a complete waste of plastic and an environmental hazard!
Missed me? I was around...every post, never missed a single one, but later in the day, not first thing in the morning.
Deleteearly birds gets the early spot leh, Princess. You know STP is SK number 2 biggest fan leh.
DeleteI think maybe that particular hypermarket baru start implement this rules kot. otherwise SK would have known earlier leh.,
SK, again I agree with you! This procedure of sealing a customers' bags really puts people off. As if they already ear mark us as potential shop lifters! I have not experienced this before but if something like this happen, I would not hesitate to contact the management to complain. You are right to refuse and walk away. The guard was just doing his job and if he is polite, then I suppose it is excusable.
ReplyDeleteManagement's bright idea.
DeleteI suppose they think shoplifters steal more value than the amount they might lose from prospective customers. Which is sad. And stupid.
Phong Hong, you must only be carrying your small handbag when you go out because I always get this because I carry many large bags with me. I think it is the management who imposed this so I don't think they will do anything even if we complain. I can name so many supermarkets and even bookshops doing this - tying up large bags of customers.
Deletemanagement sometimes also close one eyes leh. Like the incident in a hypermarket ...i email that management and tarak reply pun. they didnt bother to reply at all
Deleteanother one was a hypermarket in east coast....my friend bring recycled plastic bag to shop there. The Guard darn eksyen and say only can use recycled bag on Saturday. Other day no. cannot bring in. it was like WTH...the government and every body trying to encourage go green and this guard says cannot bring...only on saturday can use.
emailed and FB bombard the management also tarak reply.
maybe they trying to sell their recycle bag kot
I think well trained security guards who are polite and tactful is important. Let me share an incident. One time I was shopping at Aeon and the cashier forgot to remove the security tag on one of the items I bought. It also slipped my attention. So when I walked out of the supermarket, the alarm went off at the entrance. I was so blur, I didn't realise that I was the one who set it off.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I went to a nearby bench to rearrange my things (I usually do that to) and the security guard approached me. He was polite and calmly told me "Miss, I think something in your bag triggered the alarm. Can you please come with me?". It was then I realised that the cashier did not remove the tag. I followed the guard and I told him nicely that people must be thinking that I shoplifted! He politely assured me no, not at all. This thing happens quite often due to carelessness of the cashier. He then asked to see my receipt and directed me to the cashier to have the tag removed. The cashier was very apologetic.
I was very impressed by how the security guard handled the situation. And as customers we must also be reasonable and polite and respond to the security guard likewise.
Sweetie, same here.. I paling benci is the tag la.. Sometimes I also didn't check, terus ambil the plastic bag and ciao.. Then when sampai the exit, the alarm ring ahh... Lucky got receipt..
DeletePoor princess ..... never mind ...I sayang u.
DeleteMy heart beating very fast when you say wana sayang me *dup dup dup dup*
DeleteUiks, Chris hamsap my sister again.
DeleteHehehe ....
DeleteDare not say want to feel your heart beat liao.
Deletephong - you got parang leh ....
DeleteWah! This PH still called them polite and tactful??? I would have covered my head with a borrowed plastic basin!! Aiyo! I would kanasai them and CB the guard for telling me to walk in to show receipt blah blah.
DeleteWhen I am at WHAT SON, I am always alert as they hire a bunch of blurr sotongs who always give customers a fright with the unremoved tag nonsense. Their alarms trigger almost whole day.
TM,
DeleteIf the guard is tactful I'd say kudos to them. They are just doing their job.
Don't curse at people. Not good to elevate your heart rate. later heart attack! LOL
Want to KNS, KNS the cashiers la. Teehehheee
DeleteChris : hah,,hah,,,hah,,,,
DeleteTM : The security guard was polite and he did not rough me up if you know what I mean. He approached me nicely in a calm manner. When he asked for the receipt, he explained to me that from the receipt he can direct me to the correct cashier. And he did not follow me to the cashier. That is what I meant by tactful. He did not draw unnecessary attention to the incident.
I am a good actor, so my heart beat never changed. My office has terrible wild bears with ferocious tempers. I told one manager if he banged Kiki's car, I think they would clobber each other's heads with steering locks!
DeletePH - Now I suspect the guard must be a Nepali and veli hensem nia!!! Wakakaka
DeleteTM, no lah. He was a local Malay. I am not a hamsap auntie la....
DeleteBravo to the tactful guard. Betul t...when the alarm goes off people first thought is curi....some more got approached by the guard pulak tu.
DeleteUnfortunately not all guards were well trained like this.
Sometimes if they want to tie the bag and if they are rude i will just walk away
Not being racist but I realise this was practise by Indian owned mall. Even in Singapore , a famous Indian mall also practise this. I am not sure if they still adopt this now as I never go there for ages.
ReplyDeleteSame here.
DeleteThe M shop always treat customers like thieves but dunno why plenty of people still like to shop there. Not as if their products are all that cheap. Just low quality ones
They know that sarees are the best accomplice to help shoplifters. You can steal a pooh bear and stuff inside to pretend 7 months pregnant!
DeleteI went once i never go again that M mall. They are eally bad la. Bag also cannot bring in and only can bring wallet. wah..you want our money and yet you wanna be so hotty tottie ah...boleh bla la since there are others hypermarket nearby.
DeleteI guess with a mall or shop , I'm sure they can afford to install a detector for unpaid goods or items. After all, this is nothing new rather than tying their customers bag. Yes, I agreed with you its really discriminating. I come here to support you and yet you don't trust me.
ReplyDeleteagreed....if those items that they dont tag then they must be prepared to write it off as losses. cannot treat customers like thieves.
DeleteEven some local malls like the big G and T needed you to place your bags or plastic bags in their drawers while they issued you a number to redeem back. This is so old school. Just invest in a detector and bar coded all the items. There's also qrcode and rfid technology now.
ReplyDeletei dont like to place bag in their customer service. Same idea ma....why need to place. treat us like thieves ka?
Deleteand further more their notice will put there say customer put at their own risk. wei...want us to put barang there but not responsible if barang hilang how? Their barang is money and our barang is not money ka?
I remember once I can easily untied the plastic strap on my bag. This is really pure Cb. Opps. .. my memory lost again .....what's Cb ???
ReplyDeleteDont make me puke.. You said you are a good boy and u dunno wat is CB.. And now u r saying CB.. I wana cry..
DeleteI anyhow said based on TM expression in his other comments.
DeleteSK, your fault!! See you spread the CB virus already la!!! :p
DeleteCB means Cantik Betul Muhahahahaha
Deletethe plastic strap they have to tie at the correct place else easy to open la. I also open before leh. My bag is soft one. just a twist and the zip can open jor
Yeah, I know the feeling. I used to hate going to that very first hypermarket when they first opened shop. That one that was in Selayang or somewhere near there. It has closed shop and been taken over. They didn't allow handbags to be brought it! Bummer! I think I went there no more than three times and that's one too many actually. Anyway..
ReplyDeleteBottomline is, the choice is with the customer - to go or not to go, that is the question.
Cheers!
** I think Blogger seriously has a glitch on the comment section. The 'draft' again vanished on Preview. I've now wisen up by first copying it beforehand.
Hi HappySurfer missing you lately where go eat wind?
DeleteHS, Yeah need to copy the text first else sure hilang, unless you have already signed in..
Deletei kena many times....click submit and it said page cannot display. have to retype. use phone hard to copy.
DeleteNow this hypermarket ok la. my area they dont tie the bag. maybe it depend on management of each outlet kot
Long time i didn't go Mustafa Centre liao,Mustafa used to do this...
ReplyDeleteSharon - I just mentioned , not sure if they are doing that too! LOL
Deleteshh shhh shh dont mention names here...later they say we bad mouth them and sue us leh
DeleteI experienced it before. I was in KL shopping and one store wrapped up my handbag with plastic bag. I just browsed for a short while and got out. So funny as I got to take out my cash first before I let the guard wrapped up my bag. Such inconvenience! Will never enter that store again.
ReplyDeleteThat's a very "smart" idea...wondered all these people never thought of how they would feel if they get treat like this when they as a customer...??
DeleteNow that you mentioned, wenn, I remember seeing this act before, wrap the handbag with a plastic bag. Sorry but that's so funny and ugly ok? And what's the point? If we really wanted to steal things, we'll figure a way to remove the plastic also right? Plus this act is really a waste of time and material, waste that plastic bag only, hey, please be environmental friendly la, management!
Deletei dont mind if they do this when it is warehosue sale la. coz warehouse sale usually very crowded and no CCTV to monitor. These hypermarket hv CCTV to monitor and maybe have in house detective leh. they will go around and pretend like a customer then catch people who are stealing leh
Deletei think all these tie up people bag wont work la. terbalik the guard will be more lax in their job coz they expect people wont be able to steal with their bag tied up mah.
Maybe best way will be catch people in CCTV , print and paste their photo in the shop. make them malu.
so clever DIY
ReplyDelete1. I would be really unhappy too whenever they tied my bags. Not everyone who carries a big bag will be a shoplifter. Maybe they thought SK looked like one that day, without his signature karipap hair-do after a heavy panting gym workout!
ReplyDeleteWakakakaka
2. So true. Why would a shoplifter carry such a big bag to commit the act? Hey, the burglars would sometimes drive a big lorry at night to break into the homes! I guess they thought you might shoplift bigger loots. Sorry for my nonsense guessing as usual. Stop going there la and shop at The Coldest Storage where Mak Glam goes to sashay.
Delete3. All shopping establishments worldwide faced the same losing battle to curb the shoplifting menace. Even sentencing criminals to hang for drug trafficking could not scare anyone. There are morons being born every minute on earth!
Delete4. Yeah they are disrespectful to customers like us but there are others who still throng the hypermarts without thinking twice. Perhaps, it's our mentality that needs to be changed and adapt to the situation!
DeleteIf really want to curi, curi one whole lorry or hijacked one container easier. That only will gan big money. Those tiny little shoplisfters are meant nothing. We are all tiny little sesame or donut or mochi only...who care's? no one will care about us lar.
DeleteWakakaka, but SK doesn't have tattoos around (Or does he?) so with just the karipap hair-do, he looks like a thief?? :p
DeleteBut, no one should be judged with just the looks la, a thief-looking person might not be a thief and vice versa.
LOL....eh memang got thieves bring lorry to curi barang leh.....
DeleteAiyo Bananaz no got this problemo, coz seldom go shopping btw first time hear Let'sGo?
ReplyDeleteEven if you go shopping, I don't think you will be carrying a large bag. Small bags are ok.
Deletemale seldom bring big bags la unless go gym or bring computer bag
DeleteFrankly, who like to be tied up. So far my bag has been tied up once in a small mini market in Kedah during my Uni time... Why? it seems like I'm a thief is it? But I would still fine if they just tied up those plastic bag instead. Some security will notice whether did you bring other paper bags or plastic bag else where...then they will asked you to leave in the locker and get a temporary pass...also got. I guess the companies are trying to save cost...so kenot install many cctv and so on. Or else the company didn't buy all risk insurance to cover their loss.... Before doing that to customer, it is better to well train their own staffs and select the appropriate security company.... Even they are the most potential ones.
ReplyDeleteBig companies shouldn't have this issue. Most probably is the security company they hired they wanted it to be extra precaution. Because once if there's any shoplifters - big or minor matter, security is the party they will be aiming for... Let'sGo in my area, they don't to that to us. But hor it your sentences, you said you take a big gym bag...so probably they wanted to tie it lor. Is it the size really matter? That 's why it happen gua.
DeleteYes the size matters. Handbags usually are ok but large school bags will be tied in many shops I went to before. I always get asked to tie because I carry large school bags and not hand bags when I go to shops.
DeleteAngeline, that temporary pass thingy, I think quite long time ago jo, now no more....
DeleteYes, big bags sure attracts attention, and common sense thinking, big bags can carry more things, so that's why they seal up bigger bags, small bags, may be can be excused sometimes.
Tying up my handbags, no.. but tying up the plastic bags, YES! But that was long ago... nowadays before going into the groceries, I go look for trolleys then dump my plastic/recycle bags inside... then sometimes before they tie up my plastic, I Do it myself.. but normally when I go to supermarkets, I am not carrying anything yet.. except for my handbag...
ReplyDeleteSecondly, I agree with some of you.. I also don't like salesperson to follow wherever I go in the shops.. see also not selesa... :)
wow, you even tie your plastic bags yourself! That's so nice of you.
DeleteBetter I tie than he ties.. hahahaa..
DeleteThat's what I will try to do whenever go shopping, especially grocery shopping, not bringing any plastic bags!! Troublesome la!
Deleteand yet people are trying to go green by bringing recycled bags to shop. how la if these big co do not help but terbalik deter people from bringing bag?
DeleteI can actually tolerate them doing the cable tie thing, after all those Nepalese are just following orders. Blame the management for these stupid ideas. What I cannot tolerate is sometimes they make it too tight, leaving no gap for me to cut it with scissors when I leave.
ReplyDeleteBut then, it's hard to blame them for wanting to take precautionary measures. The thieves in Malaysia are very good at looking good. You might not be a thief, but the thief is good at looking just like you.
The cable tie thing is stupid though. If I am a thief, I will bring the bag, then go straight to the stationery dept, get a cutter to cut the tie off, and steal a packet of cable ties. Then I will load my bag up and apply a new tie on the bag. (PS: I have never done this before though)
wahhh... realgunners is also here now... welcome, welcome!! hahaha..
Delete*winks*
DeleteHaha, good point RealGunners! It's true also la! Like I said below, cannot really blame the foreign workers since they are just following orders.
DeleteBut management must come out with better ideas la!!
yup....if wanna curi will have 1000 and 1 ways to curi la. Tie or no tie also can curi. theieves nowadays are very creative leh
DeleteSTP so cute, always chop chop chop.
ReplyDeleteI ever encountered this when I go Mustafa Centre in Singapore to shop but I don't like it but I have no choice but to let them tie my bags cos I need to go in to shop and buy things.
Doesn't they have camera, camera should be good enough.
I mean CCTV :P
DeleteAnd with the sensor, they should be able to sense if anything is stolen
DeleteLibby, don't you know, chop chop chop is STP's signature's language now!! Everyone here knows about it, haha!
DeleteEven Popular book stores have their security guards tie up the bags. Sometimes I let them tie because I am carrying many large recycle bags with me and I wanted to go into the bookstore. Sometimes if it is not a must for me to go into the shop, then I will walk away. I also dislike the policy of having to put our bag at a special counter and I will definitely not enter the shop and boycott the shop forever if they ask me to leave my bag at a special counter.
ReplyDeleteOnce when I was entering CF (now no more CF), the security wanted to tie my backpack with my wallet inside so I let him tie and then when it was time for me to pay, I walked back to him and asked him to cut the cable tie for me to take my wallet out. Now that CF is no more, no need to tie large bags under the new management.
ReplyDeleteShould have take your wallet out first, kinda troublesome to walk to them and request them to cut the cable tie.
DeleteI agree with you - if not urgent or important to get something from that place, just boycott the place and never buy from them.
ReplyDeleteYa, unless really really no choice la right?
DeleteThis tie thing is not that bad. Once I went to CF (long time ago that this happened), I was not feeling well so I was wearing a large jacket and the security guard asked me to remove the jacket before going in and I refused and said I was not feeling well and was feeling cold so that was why I wore a jacket then I walked into CF and wrote a long complaint note and put it into their feedback box. Maybe that is why CF is not more here.
ReplyDeleteHahah, long complaint note? Not feeling well but still can write so long ar? :p
DeleteAnyway what is CF??
Same here. I'll turn around and get out. No point going in. There are better place to shop where they treat us with more respect. I will not let them tie my bags.
ReplyDeleteHmm, true also, it's not that we don't have other choices. But may be we need to spend extra times to go to other places to buy the things we want.
DeleteLooking at the number of comments here that have not encountered this before, it seems that most people just carry small bags or just hand bags when going shopping. Usually I carry big bags and the two places that I have encountered this cable tie request is at Popular bookstores in Ikano and the ex-CF in Midvalley. Aeon Big is ok.
ReplyDeleteYou carry big bags? Recycle bags or..?
Deletewishin you a happy weekend~
ReplyDeleteDo you read the content Happy Walker? Hehehe...
DeleteIt happened to us before, naive me allow them to tie my bag and my umbrella. Next time, I will refuse to let them tie and walk tall out of the mall.
ReplyDeleteI don't think it is any shame to let them tie the bags if we really wanted to get something from that shop. Actually tying up other plastic shopping bags are good too as we are sometimes busy buying grocery and maybe we did not notice some naughty people buying in unpaid things into our paid plastic bags from other stores.
DeleteOpps, sorry typo. I mean "naughty people putting in unpaid things into".
Deletemun, I know what you're trying to say but then I think people these days no longer do such things? I think people are more civilized already. Those actions are only for youngsters.
Delete用呢種電線塑膠繩鎖住咪算好囖,有間超市用時膠袋綁住你嗰袋仲核突。我就索性唔入去,唔通會死咩?
ReplyDeleteThis action is OK for me wor :P
ReplyDeleteYou are so easy going Choi Yen ;)
DeleteHello hello!! I am so backdated!! You know la I was away to KL so now need to catch up on all your recent posts already!
ReplyDeleteHmm, this one ho, happened to me before as well. Very irritating also. I just don't like my bags (though it's only plastic bags which at the end, I also throw away) being sealed with the cable-tie. I know they use cable-tie instead of other kinds of strings because cable-tie is difficult to untied, unless with scissors, so who will carry a pair of scissors when going shopping? So with this thinking the management feels secured cause we can hardly steal things and put into our bags.
But this brings us troubles. We need to cut open the cable-tie with scco else we cannot remove our things! So troublesome leh! Imagine if we just tie a simple knot on the bags or even without any knots, we can easily remove the things once we reach home, now with the cable-tie we need to cut open it and this action waste a few seconds la! Really 多此一举 one lo!
*typo error: scco = scissors*
DeleteHaih, but then ho, most of the hypermarket guards these days I see are foreign workers, may be they are just following what their employer is asking them to do, so sometimes cannot blame them also la! Plus in your case, the guard some more asked you politely... Don't know la, very 矛盾 :p
ReplyDeleteSo end up you din't able to buy the things you wanted lo? Erm do they have lockers for people to put the bags? Though I find storing our bags in the lockers is a waste of time, it's better than letting them to seal our bags...
Speaking of lockers, some lockers will return the money and some won't. If I can chose, I'll choose not to use these lockers, and still carrying my bags into the hypermarket xDD
Come on la! Kan they have CCTV all around? If I really plan to steal things or if I really steal things, they'll know it right away and come catch me la! Like you said, if someone plans to steal things, still care to bring bags meh? Sure hide them in the pocket, under the bras/panty and at other parts of the body/clothes lo!
And if we really manage to steal things, when we are passing through the cashier security scanner, the scanner will also alert everyone la! I guess these days no more people carrying shoplifting la! That's so old school! :p
I agree with you, sealing the bags might seems like a small action but then it's indirectly humiliating us, so disrespectful! Plus there must be a reason why we carry along our bags when going shopping, sometimes really nowhere else to put ma! If we have a choice we sure don't wanna carry so much weight when going shopping la! Right?
DeleteGood morning SK and all
ReplyDeleteToday about tying bag ah. Yea i have encounter this before. saw in your FB status about it. so many opinion about this
which Letsgo you went to? So far touch wood my place here still okay . tarak ask to tie the bag. Maybe here the shoplifting thingy are not that bad la so they can afford to do that
ReplyDeleteyes it is not right to prejudice customer before they enter the store leh. how la like that. not yet masuk treated like thief.
ReplyDeleteBut kudos for the guard for being polite. after all he is just doing his job. Boss suruh like that he just do like that la.
Have encountered before that the guard act like big boss. Bring bag in to certain hypermarket and he "harlo harlo." "...woi woi...." " eh eh" like that to stop and say have to tie the bag
but but when they tie the bag they also tarak think . if people wanna steal they can still steal leh. Bag can still be opened when the bag is tied leh. it depends on what bag you are holding.
ReplyDeleteanyway it is very mah farn la to have tied bag. Unless desperate for the item i wont go in and buy lor. another mah farn thing is to put the bag at customer service counter. later takut barang hilang . some more they very pandai put say they are not responsible for any missing item if bag placed with them . banyak cantik!
