At least respect it is their property, she can moved the ashtray by herself.
ReplyDeleteThat's what I'd do also.
DeleteJust move it away.
Then, wash hand la.
No need to order people around.
Or maybe can ask staff help, but with a smile.
use tissue moved it away also can, no need wash
DeleteEeee... I use tissue also, I will wash hand one. ;p
Deleteya lor....just move the ash tray la....she thinks she is big taukeh meh...one ash tray also cannot move
Deleteyeah, what's so difficult to move that ashtray aside?? i think moving it by myself is far more simple and convenient than i have to ask the waiter to do so.. it's like, don't push what you do not want to do to others, agree??
Deletedid I just give you your 1st comment?
ReplyDeleteyeah, you are the 1st commenter!! so rare, like once in a decade~~ :D
Deletelike kena jackpot
DeleteJust get used to it, people nowadays are like this, just do anything which is convenient for them!!! =[
ReplyDeleteCannot marah also because these people will be the first one who will make a lot of fuss and complain if kena tegur. :(
Deletewhy cannot marah...if me will ask her what she wanna eat...else pi berambus
Deleteyeah, very true!! nowadays those who are making complaints are those who did the wrong thing first and those who started the mess first.. how pathetic!!
DeleteGood morning SK, Fing Fing and semua sekali gus!
ReplyDeleteOh today you are blogging about a lady with no brains. In my dictionary, she is a pure @#$%! There are plenty of them multiplying like maggots everyday. Wakakakaka...
yeah.. we often see all those
DeleteBlack Widow
Iron Man
Thor
Captain America
Hulk
around us!! how saddening right??
This lady should have sat inside but perhaps she was afraid of the cold air con. These days I also saw many cafe outlets becoming a meeting venue for business talks. Starbucks near my home has got special sections for meeting areas upstairs!!
ReplyDeletetypical kiasu la...wanna save money and yet wanna eksyen like that
Deletenope, if she were to sit inside then the waiters will notice her for not ordering anything, that's too obvious.. sitting outside on the other hand, she thought i will be safer to occupy the seats without the need to make any order.. yalah, wanna eksyen but then so stingy..
DeleteI actually met my client who is a CEO of a listed company conducting his meeting with consultants there and it opened my eyes. On checking further, I realised that was a proper meeting area for people who preferred casual and relaxed atmosphere! Time has changed la Ah boy.. We should have bloggers AGM there too! Ask Mr Chairman Buruk SP to fix a date.
ReplyDeleteMy hubby had his interview (when he was headhunted to join a Danish bank) at Starbucks. kekeke
DeleteJust chit-chat style. Less formal. ;)
Wait for SP ah....cham lor....sun may rise from the west leh....
Deleteyeah, i think there are more interviews and meetings being conducted in less formal atmosphere, and i think this is not bad at all.. people do not have to be so tensed up, and when the people get more relaxed, that's actually the true himself or herself, that's what i think..
DeleteSP only eat grass and workout on his new toy now.. no time for us~~ :D
Last weekend in Singapore, I waited for a friend at Starbucks outside Swissotel. The whole big place was packed with students doing their homework and revision there. Overhere I often saw our students using McD outlets instead. So where does Ah Boy do his reports and revision??
ReplyDeleteAiyoh TM,
DeleteIn Japan also you see students doing revision at McD.
But if they are not inconveniencing anyone, let them be la...
McD at Bandar Tun Hussein Onn is filled with students too. But then, most at least eat a burger there.
We'd occupy a table at the Mamak for hours also, just drinking a cup of teh tarik sometimes. kekeke
Ya lor and McD have free wifi leh...for starbuck is more for working people la
Deleteof course McD is more affordable lah, there are still students who hangout at high class cafes (to me high class, but to them just normal kopitiam lah).. haiyoh, Ah Boy is poor student lah, cannot afford to stay in Starbucks, the most he goes to McD only.. and i will never occupy the seats without ordering anything wokay?? :p
DeleteUsed to it..
ReplyDeleteI ever see people sitting in certain eatery place chit chatting away without ordering anything, not even a drink...
i think it's fine if it's not packed.. when there is no empty tables and other customers are waiting, then it's a problem..
DeleteWell...the smog people think they are entitled to so many things in life. We need to smack such people in face. :D
ReplyDeletewell i would always like to find such opportunity, and see how they make a fool of themselves in front of people~~ :p
DeleteThen again I believe if we wanna sit and wait in someone's restaurant or cafe we must at least order a drink.
ReplyDeleteexactly!! it's something unspoken right?? that's a courtesy to the place as well as the customers, be fair..
DeleteBut of course.
ReplyDeleteWe live in a time where people feels entitled to get things done for them.
We are living in a selfish society now.
Some more, where got class to do things on our own.
That's what maid are for, at home.
And service staff for, outside of home.
Trample and look down on them.
Sigh...
well, i never have a maid before at all.. and i always serve myself more than the servers serve me outside.. unless it's necessary and i don't have the access, i think doing it myself is more convenient than having to ask other people and wait for them to do that for me..
Delete我發覺最近越嚟越多呢啲人,甚至到嚴重嘅地步。你唔發火佢哋就會越嚟越過分。
ReplyDelete之唔係囉, 呢個社會啲人越來越不可理喻喇..
DeleteI do it sometimes. Lepaking without ordering anything because I just want to have a short break or kill time.
ReplyDeleteBut it's got to be a place that's not crowded la... like Starbucks at Bangsar Village II. Sit there quietly, and enjoy free wi-fi also. ;P
yalah, i always feel uneasy if i don't order anything but just occupy the place, even when there is no one around.. but this one, haha, sometimes too tired standing and since everyone is doing that, i just follow lah~~ :D
Deletelepaking without order i think nearky everyone also have done before la but not to the extend of asking staffs to move the astray like that la...it crossed the line already. Not only that she didnt give business to the outlet but make more work for the staffs
Deleteexactly!! if she ordered something at least reasonable to ask for service lah.. but now she is just sitting there taking FREE advantage, i really think that's such a maggot lah~~
DeleteI want to believe that people who occupy a table will eventually make an order. Maybe she was meeting a client or business partner there and delaying making the order for when he/she arrives?
ReplyDeleteThere are lots of possibilities beyond what the eye can see. Also, the world is a-changing with new paradigms. Shall I say, 'live with it' or 'embrace it'? Life. So challenging..
nope she didn't order anything at all.. and it's actually not abnormal to not make an order at that place, most of the people will just sit there waiting for pick-ups, for which they won't occupy for long.. but in that case of her, she just laid all her documents on the table and started working.. well, if the changes are getting worse, i don't see why we should live with it or embrace it at all right??
DeleteNowadays, many people like to use those outlets free seating, free WIFI, free air-con and free cleaners for their own used without ordering anything.
ReplyDeleteNo comment on such people, but I never do this myself. If I want to kill my time, I will go window shopping. If I want to take a sit, I will find a bench. If I want free WIFI, I will go McD or Starbuck to order something.
true, I have no comments on such people too. For one thing, I don't take the advantage of this kind of place.
Deletei will never do that also.. if i need anything from there, at least i will order a cup of drinks.. i feel uneasy to just occupy the space and use the facilities in the venue without any order made..
DeleteI finally witnessed some people used those outlets for free as their chit-chatting and gathering place, and when they left, the make in the table in mess. They threw tissue papers and rubbish on the table too. So bad.
DeleteGood morning, SK and all! All kinds of people surround us everyday. If we take a look, we are surely bound to find one despicable one.
ReplyDeleteyeah, that is very true.. but then there is really nothing we can do huh?? :)
DeleteThat is indeed very annoying. If she's not a customer, I guess she has no right to demand for anything from the restaurant...
ReplyDeleteyes!! you have the same thought as me.. she really doesn't have that right to complain and demand for service is she isn't making any order..
DeleteAs for me, I dare not one.. very timid... unless I order something .. just a drink also never mind, hor.. then I will have the right to ask them to wipe nice nice for me.. hahaha..
ReplyDeletehahaha, me also like that lah.. not to say timid, but i really feel uneasy if i just sit there occupying the place without making any order, feel like everyone is watching me with weird thoughts~~ :D
DeleteLet me recall.... I don't occupy a table without ordering. Paiseh wor, if just hog the place and be selfish. Other customers may want the table/seat.
ReplyDeleteIs the lady going to order later and continue with her work? Or she just sat there for some time and left?
Deleteyalor, i also feel paiseh if i hog the place and not making any order.. that's rather selfish right?? and that lady, no idea, but as far as i was there, she didn't make or intended to make any order..
DeleteI hardly have extra time to 'kill' at the cafe. My schedule is packed with activities, especially with 2 growing kids.
ReplyDeleteMaybe I'll utilize those opened air cafe when the kids leave the nest and I'm all alone with my old hubby.
hahahaha, not bad at all right since you never have any idle time that you need to find a place to sit!! oh, what an eventful and meaningful life~~ :D
DeleteAnyway, I've seen quite a number of times people go buy nasi lemak and eat it at McD in Bangsar.
ReplyDeleteI guess no harm if the place is not crowded, but at least after eating, clear the mess lah.
Eat nasi lemak and then leave the wrapper there for McD staff to clear pulak. tsk tsk
yalah, no harm if the place is not crowded.. but still, if i were to do that, i will at least order a drink no matter the place is crowded or not.. i just feel uneasy and weird to sit there having nothing to drink and munch.. it's just like taking advantage lah.. if tapao nasi lemak, then at least also order a cup of coffee, and then don't leave the mess behind lah.. don't be a rude person~~
Deleteaiyoh, why Bangsar?? i thought Bangsar are all high class people?? but still doing low class thing.. tsk tsk tsk~~
Lol how funny how she demanded like that and yet she didn't even order anything in the cafe...
ReplyDeleteShe is already getting a free resting place she doesn't need to demand at all.
indeed, she was sitting there for free and since she isn't making any order, she is not a customer and what rights she has to demand the ashtray to be removed?? furthermore, that's a smoking area~~
Deletewell in my case as you know i'm a shy type boy,
ReplyDeleteso I never did seat on chair by any particular cafe
i'll search for those seat open for public those along the street or in food courts
hahaha, what is that to do with being a shy boy or not??
Deletewell im shy to seat there because it's for there costumers haha
Deletebut anyway regarding that lady, i remember back then when
ReplyDeletei was still working on a fast food chain here there's these three
ladys who were always there ordering nothing but water haha
still we treat them as regular customers
well i think as an employee of that fast food chain, you have no power to do anything.. because the three ladies can always retaliate back and immediately ordered something.. BTW, are the water chargeable actually?? if yes, then they are customers, haha!!
Deleteno, it's free sk, haha actually we used to chat with them during break times
DeleteI bet that lady was a grumpy old woman, most of those kinds
ReplyDeletewere old people haha,
err not really a grumpy old woman.. just around her late 30s or early 40s i guess..
Deletethat a reality which we are dealing in our society
ReplyDeletenowadays the self centered ones luckily im not one of them
oh you are right.. there are more and more such person we are seeing now, very inconsiderate ones..
DeleteBut still it wasn't right to judge her just by that,
ReplyDeleteas they say, you just have to find god in every people
coz there always will be
you have your point too.. we shouldn't judge and criticize people by what we see.. but then, hmmmm, i really think it's not right for her attitude.. haha!!
Deleteyeah indeed, by the way i mean good not god
Deletehave a great day and happy bloggin sk
ReplyDeletetake care always and god bless you
you have a great day and take good care too..
DeletePut ji sor wai! tarak pong chan and wanna instruct the staffs to do this and that...too much la this lady
ReplyDeleteyalor.. if she hates that ashtray then why sit there in the smoking area?? there are so many seats available elsewhere!!
DeleteThey are too many kinds of people. I will js ignored them. I feel phai seh too if i didn't order anything from there... i should say i don't dare to do this...
ReplyDeleteThis lady oso very muka tebal to asked the waiter to put the ashtray aside, can't she do it herself..
