Good morning SK, woot! woot! Form six student life story today. I will come back later.
ReplyDeleteGood morning, Yannie! Good morning, SK and world~
DeleteSK's Form 6 photo reminds of my own one. Must go and search for it later :)
yeah, Y&Y Sistaz must also post their Form 6 photos to show us all.. they sure were very pretty last time~~ :D
DeleteCannot, my form six look was a disaster. I won't want to share. Ah Hua was pretty like girl next door back then.
Deletecannot, must share lah Mak Yannie.. like that you will be so proud of how beautiful you have changed now.. i will also be posting my fugly college and uni photos soon, so fugly until i feel like slapping myself!! :D
Deletehahaha....school pic usually turn out disasterous la. at least yours is presentable la.
DeleteUnlike now where there is digital camera, hp with camera, makes it easier to take picture... When i was in school time, also very rare to take pictures at that time...
ReplyDeleteyou are so true!! i didn't even have a camera during that time.. everytime it was classmate's camera and i still remember we use to pay 30sen for each 3R photo we ordered for development, haha~~
DeleteAnd nowadays it's digital camera, u like the picture, u keep it, u don't like it, u delete off the picture...
DeleteUnlike last time the camera, u won't know how's the picture until after develop the photo...
I wonder how people would feel when they have children and they all decide to live by their own rules. Ah well! I'm not surprised - some parents these days don't give a damn even when their kids step on their heads.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't have let you all in...and would suspend for two weeks...plus would not allow any of you back till the parents come to school and apologise for the misdemeanour. Rules are rules, meant to be followed - not bent according to one's whims and fancies - see how well it works in that little island republic down south?
There is of course the power of discussion and negotiation - students can always approach the authorities to talk over things and come to an agreement that is best for all parties concerned.
Deletehmmm, there was a negotiation actually but it didn't work out.. it happened for a reason and not that we just simply "strike", i just didn't tell the story and try to keep the post short.. well, what i can say about that incident is, different generation of people have different thinking and perception.. afterall after that day, everything was back to normal and it seemed that the discipline teacher was more friendly to us.. yes rules are rules but different times needs different ways of handling conflicts.. as for your rules that wouldn't let all us in, i guess yo would need to think about the consequences too, there were actually more than 400 of us.. :)
DeleteBTW, were you the discipline teacher back then?? :p
Good morning!
ReplyDeleteWah another post today ya~
Very interesting topic, reminds me of my Form 6 life also. Still keeping those photos with me, hehe..
DeleteForm 6 life was kinda stressed back then, STPM ma.. But also very fun at the same times.
I was in girls school during PMR and SPM, but transferred to mixed school during Form 6, so kinda cant used to it in the beginning.
DeleteBut luckily all my male classmates also very nice and funny la~
yeah, i actually have two albums of photos from secondary school but too lazy to go dig them out and scan and post here.. this was what i have it earlier in my PC.. stress life but then it was actually happy life too.. i didn't sit for STPM because i was from 獨中, we sit for 高中統考 only during Form 6..
DeleteLOL...my Form 6 years was fun too. We all sort of have more freedom than others. even have a small library of our own in the class.
DeleteGood afternoon from Starbucks. Where is everybody?
ReplyDeleteOh I went to the wrong school and met wrong teachers....many!
yeah, today seems so quiet here huh?? everybody is so busy??
DeleteAnay....tell more of your school horror story la.
DeleteWas not so well yesterday la...so tarak blog hop.
Parents in law fly off jor today...hence will be quite free la next few days LOL
Wah! SK, you guys were so brave back then, dare to "mogok" at the school gate and show your dissatisfaction to your discipline master. Form Six should be the role model and example to other students ma! Why boycotted discipline master? All of you had discipline issue back then, yes or no?
ReplyDeleteHaha ya wo, I thought students last time are quite good and obedient one... Unlike those kids these days, create so much chaos in the school til publish in the papers...
DeleteYan, i think everyone in the school hated the new discipline master lah, he was too over and 仗勢欺人, i remember that day a few teacher also quite 心涼 seeing us boycotted him, hahaha!! so we were the role model for other students mah, we show our dissatisfaction, haha~~
DeleteHayley, well students are always creating chaos lah.. last time purely to express their dissatisfaction.. but i think students now create chaos because they are too pampered and spoiled by their parents.. different story~~
Now I remember, I had one assistant principal last time, he also that type of 仗勢欺人. Many teachers, parents also students dislike him. I read about his news a few years back. Apparently, he moved to Penang after leaving Taiping. After he retired, he suffered from stroke, his wife passed away and left him a daughter who was also a work disable person. He seek help society and public donation. Another year later, I read from press, he passed away in old folk home.
DeleteHe was 威风临临 at one time, but his olden days was so tragic.
what a dramatic life he has, kind of sad to see old people being alone and passed away without anyone beside them.. BTW, not 威风临临 but 威風凜凜.. don't teach your princesses the wrong thing~~ :p
DeleteI think for Form Six to mogok is a big issue already. Students wont simply mogok just like that. Sometimes school rules are just too tight or obselete.
DeleteI didn't take much photos while inside the school and I have nothing much to share. I saw few photos and I looked so fugly tjat my blog will crash if I tried to upload it.
ReplyDeletei took a lot of photos and always among those who order the most reprints of photos last time, hahaha!! but kept them somewhere and lazy to go dig them out.. coming soon will be my college and uni photos, i was so fugly that i feel like slapping myself!! :D
DeleteHaha i can't actually recognize you in the picture! Which one were you? :P
ReplyDeletewhat??!! i thought everyone can recognize me!! so obvious lah, the one on the left was me~~
DeleteWhen I was in my Form Six, I am the Discipline section leader in Prefect Board. I was hatred by many bad students. Because I always took down their motorbike numbers or their student numbers when they came in to school late.
ReplyDeleteLuckily I wasn't got boycotted like what you guys did to your discipline master.
Luckily I wasn't got bitten up by the bullies in school.
I was kind of safe through out the duty as the discipline section lead.
Though many students, boys and girls hate me, but I was just doing my duty.
i was also a prefect from Form 4 till Form 6, and in Form 6 i was one of the 11 prefect leaders.. i think while many students respect and were afraid of us, there were also many who hated us.. but luckily, similar lah, nothing happened to us.. because we were just doing our job and we know how to handle different cases of different students..
DeleteNow whenever I met with those school mates, they would say things like "Hey! You were so fierce back then, we really hate you, now, you are so different....." Ahem! I am more loveable now compare to when I was at school.
ReplyDeleteStudents last time weren't as bad as now. Not so many school bullies last time, otherwise I could have lied on the road on the way back from school.
DeleteI would say students before were tougher and notorious. My era saw many joining triad societies! The kids these days are spoilt by their parents.
Deletehahaha, well well well.. of course when we all looked back our school days, it was just a laugh.. you used to be fierce?? hmmm, i didn't but i try to be closed with the students (of course keeping the appropriate distance).. i guess most students are rebellious, accept you being a friend then respect you and do what you asked for, than to be forced by authority to do something they were reluctant to do.. and i do agree with Anay, kids now are spoilt by their parents so much, they were even tougher..
DeleteWhen I was in Form 4 , I heard that the discipline teacher was absent cos some students ordered a coffin and had it delivered to his house very early in the morning before he woke up! The undertakers gave him a hard time as his name was listed as the deceased and his family was supposed to pay C.O.D. for his coffin. Boys from my school were famous for everything.
ReplyDeleteSome students are really tough to be handled too.
Deletewow, this is really an eye-opening case!! i have never thought of that!! i guess not even the loan sharks have ever thought of that too.. those students were really scary Anay, so unexpected and tough to handle like wenn mentioned.. were you one of them?? :D
Deletewah....those students really terror leh LOL....ordered coffin some more....lucky the teacher did not die of heart attack there and then
DeleteOne female teacher in Form 5 was slapped very hard on her cheek by her stufent after she had slapped him earlier. Her glasses fell onto the floor and broke! The student was expelled from school and many years later he was drowned in NZ during his boat trips. Eh I am telling you real stories ok.
ReplyDeleteSometimes, it is kind of tough being a teacher also. Too lenient, parents said the teacher is too cincai and lazy. Too fierce and serious, students boycotted you. So, it isn't easy being an educator now.
Deleteyea, not easy being a teacher. To be a discipline teacher is not easy task.
Deletehmm, the student drowned and passed away or he is still alive?? is this some karma going on?? and yeah, i really have to agree with that!! teacher is always a tough job, you really need to know all the tactics to bring up the students, safely and happily..
DeleteGood evening, SK and all! Sorry I'm a bit late today as this morning I had to go work early. Well, that's a nice picture. I didn't go to Form 6 but I worked straight after my Form 5. It's not easy being a discipline teacher though. He/She has to be very stern and strict too.
ReplyDeleteoh i bet you also have your Form 5 photos?? i guess those were the big exam years, we have been stressed up and yet it was fun when we look back right?? BTW, were you a discipline teacher last time?? haha~~
Deleteoh, all teachers are actually discipline teachers as we have to control our own class and when we were given task to control the students.
Deletegood thing you manage to keep sucj pictures
ReplyDeleteas me as early as now i have non hahah
anyways you know how i enjoy this old pictures right
yeah, i kept that nicely and also scanned this photo into my PC to be able to keep it better..
Deletehmm thats cool SK! even you were just a student at that time you and your classmates stood up,
ReplyDeletei never thought of doing that
ooh, we stood up and not only the classmates but all the students from all the Form 6 classes (i guess it's Grade 12 equivalent in your place)..
Deleteindeed unity makes a huge difference,
ReplyDeletethat remind me of one of the most historical event happened in our nation haha
oh yeah, the united people can always make a huge difference.. stand up and fight for your rights.. :)
Deleteanyway good thing you had your peaks back then
ReplyDeletecoz in my case? hmm i cant even barely remember anything at all
hahaha, i am sure there was something that you can remember.. high school days were the days we were growing up.. :)
Deletehah anyways you face doesn't change much huh,
ReplyDeleteand i dont think you were fat back then
hmmm, did you spot the correct person in the photo?? hahaha~~ i'm the one standing on the left.. :D
Deletehave a great day and happy blogging sk,
ReplyDeletetake care always and god bless you
you have a great day and may god bless you too.. :)
DeleteOh that's you? haha!! Still look quite the same except you look older now of course! Haha!
ReplyDeleteof course, i am not Benjamin Button lah, for sure i look older as i aged mah~~ :D
DeleteWah! So rebellious? LOL!
ReplyDeletewe were forced to be rebellious, haha!!
DeleteBut you all dislike your discipline master? : )
ReplyDeleteyes, sort of.. not only the Form 6 students but i guess most of the students as well as some of the teachers too~~ :D
DeleteOh, you are not outstanding in academic result? I thought you are one those high scorers : D
ReplyDeleteno lah, not really.. i was just an average and ordinary student back then.. :D
Deleteuiks....secondary school you were very quiet? No sports meh? thought you very active in sport when you were in rpimary school.
ReplyDeletefat?? that photos does not show you fat la...aiyo...just normal size la.
DeleteI recall slightly in my school there was boycott too but kinda forgotten what was it about. Bad things best forgotten. Also involve discipline teacher
Delete"the power of unity threatens even the most powerful authority" love this quote!!! =]
ReplyDeleteso nice to see SK during his childhood woohoo
ReplyDeletei was quite a nerdy one during my highschool and not participating in any type of sport unless I am really required to...
ReplyDelete乜獨中都有中六既咩?我重以為叫高三?
ReplyDeleteso SK got . . .pai kia punya one time XD with many many ppl summore eh :P
ReplyDeletehahah I am consider a berry good boy then :X
