06.03.2013 | 一馬書券

[Volume 8 Issue 3, #1681]
the government continues with the "candy strategy" this year, i thought i would not be eligible for these book vouchers anymore, but the college emailed me to collect them, of course i am not going to miss it anyhow!! similar to last year, each student gets RM250 worth of book vouchers, but this year instead of just the vouchers, we were also given a set of printed card and envelope.. frankly, i find those a waste of money, for sure most will just throw them away, who on earth would ever want to keep them as souvenirs?? haha.. actually i did not realize the expiry of the vouchers given last year, and therefore i have wasted that good RM250 just like that (@#$%^&*!), hence i shall never let myself repeat the same mistake again this year!! i want to buy books, so that my wallet is "cheung book book" (means bloated in cantonese), oh so auspicious!! :D

    6. Wah lauu-eh! (with a Teochew accent) - to also add insult to injury. haha..

But what STP said is true - if it's not yours, it's not yours so no point crying over spilt milk. Just remember to make it yours the second time around. Happy shopping! Does it include stationery at the bookstore?

  4. Good morning all :-D

Really cheong bok bok lo. I see many bookstore advertising that they accept the voucher.

The other day I went to bbw..they even have contest. Those who use the vouchers to buy books will get chance to win a car ipone ipad yhis and that.this contest still goes on in bookxcess.

I wonder why bookstore are hard sell promote the use of this voucher. Is it purely to get more sales or does government give special incentives to bookstore that accept it? Tax incentive ir what ....alamak...next month have to submit tax form again

Oo these vouchers hv expiry dates? One year ah? Rugi lo if tarak redeem

    1. yeah i do think so, sure they will get some incentive from the government if they receive the BB1M book vouchers, else why do they want to highlight that they welcome the vouchers to be used?? somemore the Popular bookshop gives freebies if we use RM150 vouchers and above in their shop.. sure ada "jack-so" else who wants to advertise for free??

you wish lah one year.. only like three months validity!! why give you one year validity?? that's very stupid, haha~~

      Delete
    2. three months only ah...time flies leh ...very fast it will slip away...faster use lor

      Delete
    3. Faster use the voucher, don't keep. Because I tend to forget after keeping it :p

      Delete
    3. Hahahaha, maybe it's applicable. I think they have some voucher/discount for certain people to buy smartphone, right?

I wonder why there are so many kind of vouchers nowadays.

    1. Don't be surprised you will get another voucher soon!

      Delete
    2. You are correct that they wasted a lot to print nonsense lately! Even the water crisis issue was crazy! They printed a newsletter format to explain in lengthy details.

They really try so hard by creating the One Malaysia concept on everything for their image branding. Now Thambee take the voucher means must give back something?????? Ahah!

      Delete
    3. I never get any voucher or any money for myself, except the RM100 for each of my girls.

They should also think of something to give me. Then, I will consider to give back something to them.

      Delete
    4. nah, i don't think they will be giving another round of vouchers or cash in near future.. probably their "deadline" has come and this so called BR1M and BB1M will become history already, a very sarcastic history indeed..

errr, is there an agreement that those who took the vouchers must give something in return?? none of my knowledge tells me that.. well, i sure will "give something" during the GE13~~ :D

      Delete
    5. I didn't get the RM100 yet!! My girl's school "telan" it already!

Give something to me and return a favor to them? Em, see first la.
