good morning!!
ReplyDeletewah, Queen Yvonne today so early!!
DeleteYay! Yay!
ReplyDeleteHappy to be first~
fuyoh, beat the First Lady today!!
DeleteWhere's Lina? I thought she's going to refresh many many times?? Muekekeke!
ReplyDeleteEverything jam today. Had to wait ages for this page to load. Ugh.
DeleteAiks! I thought I can happily finish 10-streak comment, why you come in spoiled my fun?
DeleteIt's called revenge!
DeleteMuahaha!!!!!!
hahaha!! First Lady must have been sitting there keep refreshing the page till the PC not enough memory and hangs!! hahaha~~
DeleteOk, go read the content now :D
ReplyDeletewah, learned the trick from First Lady already, no wonder can become first commenter!!
DeleteEh? You drew a tortoise and it returned the word?
ReplyDeleteThis doesn't look like handwriting recognition, it's more like drawing recognition ~~:p
I agree with you, Yvonne.
DeleteBut man... SK, that is one ugly tortoise!!!!!!
kakaka
Muahahaha!
DeleteLina, so now you know how hard I need to guess when play Draw Something with him :p
must be interesting to play
Deletelike that, he untung lor... since you draw really nice and you pulak had a hard time deciphering his.
Deleteeih, i use my fat fingers to "write" that, so cannot expect nice ones ok?? and for you all who don't know chinese, chinese words are actually symbolic, each word resembles the shape and slowly evolve to become the modern words.. that's why if you draw something, it's very close to the word and the recognition program can detect that.. :)
DeleteOh, oh, I know a little about the chinese character origin.
DeleteBut that tortoise of yours..... way far from its chinese character la.
Btw, I didn't know that it's so hard to write the word tortoise - is it chinese traditional? No simplified version?
hahaha, maybe closer to the simplified chinese lah.. i like traditional chinese more because i think they look nicer.. :)
DeleteYou drew the bird.... that one also doesn't look like "bird" Chinese character, but your phone program still can recognize it.
ReplyDeleteWow~ I'm impressed!
eih, ancient "bird" is written something like this lah.. believe me, that's why the program can recognise it..
DeleteI can't write chinese, so forced to use pinyin when I want to show-off my Chinese. Kekeke!
ReplyDeleteme too..
Deletehehehehe, believe me, writing is actually faster than typing the pinyin..
DeleteOf course when I use pinyin, it'll returns me a list of Chinese characters and I need to choose one (without knowing the meaning).
ReplyDeleteSometimes I will choose the wrong character :p
Please correct me if I used the inappropriate words, ya!
oh, i thought you are a banana?? not bad at all you still know pinyin and then able to remember the words.. :p
DeleteI learned Chinese (using pinyin) from Primary 3 to Primary 5, an extra class twice per week after school hours. Am able to recognize 1% of the chinese characters which are simple.
DeleteOne thing bad about pinyin, I always refer to the pinyin and not be able to recognize the chinese characters.
yalor, that's exactly what i meant with this post.. we just refer to the list of options and choose but don't really know how to write the word itself..
DeleteEh, this function is only available in your phone, right?
ReplyDeleteThat's mean you still have to use pinyin via keyboard on your laptop. You blog from laptop or phone?
errr, iPhone has this built-in feature.. of course in my laptop i gotta use pinyin lah.. i of course blog from my laptop, but sometimes i may do some minor amendments from phone, especially when some chinese words that are not available in my laptop..
DeleteInteresting-looking bird. It could double up as a chair too. :D
ReplyDeletehahaha, actually it is quite close to the word "horse" too, few times the program recognised it as horse..
DeleteWah u very pro. I apa pun Tak tahu. ><
ReplyDeletehehehe, you are banana is it?? if you can write chinese, you can play with your iPhone..
DeleteGood morning, all!
ReplyDeletegood morning.. and i realise the timestamp of the comments are correct now!!
Deleteoh really..great!
DeleteI didn't realize about the timestamp until now you mentioned it *eyes open wide*
Deletenowadays phone is such an intelligent lot
ReplyDeleteyeah, that's why we call them smart phones~~ :p
Deleteyea..guess so
Deletehey get iphone/S3 .. now got voice recognition..
ReplyDeleteso you could rest your fat finger.. lol..
really? then I must get one..
Deleteyeah, i got a voice recognition program too, i can just use voice to ask the program to initiate a call, send SMS, update facebook, search for direction etc.. that's cool!!
Deletecool..
Deleteit can even recognise a drawing
ReplyDeleteactually chinese words are symbolic, that's why the program can recognise the so-called "drawings".. :)
Deleteas for me, I would go for pinyin
ReplyDeletei'm using pinyin on my laptop, so i use handwriting on my phone.. :)
DeleteI can recognise it better that way
ReplyDeleteof course when you do not know how to write the word, pinyin is the best way.. :)
DeleteI only can recognise basic handwriting
ReplyDeleteso you should actually write more to practice!! haha~~
Deletebut u are good..u can even draw so well
ReplyDeletehaha!! did i draw well?? lina and yvonne just commented those are ugly tortoise and bird~~
DeleteChinese words are so interesting.
ReplyDeleteI agree..
Deleteyes, i agree with that too!! it's so sophisticated..
Deletehow I wish, phone can recognise voices
ReplyDeleteerrr, if you are using a smartphone, you can download the voice recognition apps..
Deleteactually long long time ago chinese words are derive from pictures..
ReplyDeletetrue..
Deleteyes, you are right!! that is why the program can decipher my "drawings".. haha!!
Deletewe just say a word and the writing would appear
ReplyDeleteoh yes, those voice recognition not only help you type but also gets command from you to send SMS, initiate calls etc..
DeleteIf that's the case, it's so much cool..
ReplyDeleteit's exactly what those apps are doing.. you speak and the words appear on screen right in front of you.. that's voice recognition technology..
DeleteThis feature is good. Suit me also.
ReplyDeleteyeah.. with the handwriting i can keep myself from forgetting the chinese words..
DeleteNot that I have fat fingers, ahemm.
ReplyDeletehehehehe, luckily the screen area still have ample space for my fat fingers..
DeleteI am not good in pinyin. My time taught only po bo mo fo.
ReplyDeleteerrr, i actually mean hanyu pinyin lah.. bo po mo fo are hanyu pinyin.. yeah, i can see you are not good.. it's bo po mo fo and not po bo mo fo~~ :D
DeleteI was puzzled whether it is po bo mo fo or bo po mo fo. Thought that I was correct, now only i know i was wrong again. Thanks for correcting me ya!
Deletehahaha, i quite good in pinyin also one.. actually not only pinyin for chinese words, i also use pinyin for cantonese word to write my posts~~ :D
DeleteSo, my pinyin is suck. This word recognition is really useful for me also.
ReplyDeleteyeah, and one good thing with handwriting is, you really remember the word in heart..
DeleteThis feature is useful for my girls too. It is part of the lesson in the Chinese subject. I saw it in their text book.
ReplyDeletegood for the girls..great!
Deleteyeah, i think slowly the kids will be writing on electronic devices rather than papers..
Deleteo系未要用筆(stylus)先寫到o架?
ReplyDelete唔係, 我用手指寫架, 哈哈!!
Delete系咩keyboard啊?點install?
Delete係我部iPhone嚟喎, 唔駛install架, 已經built-in咗架, 你去setting揀就有架喇~~
Delete估唔到畫都得喔,好嘢!
ReplyDelete中文字係象形文字吖嘛..
Delete一直以爲喺以順序筆畫嚟辨認
Delete我都以為係, 不過有時掉頭補多一劃都得架, 果然好精明~~
DeleteThat a bird????
ReplyDeleteyes, gu gu and bird bird~~ haha!!
DeleteWah!!! Orang kaya, can buy such canggih telephone... Mind, all Chinese characters and icons appear on the screen as squares. LOL!!!
ReplyDeleteerrr, there are many people who are having this phone lah, haha!! errr, you see square boxes only?? that means your PC or browser is very old, should upgrade to latest version because newer versions has built in chinese words decoder already..
DeleteIt's indeed interesting, but my phone has no such application woh...:p
ReplyDeleteno idea what phone you are using.. i believe most smart phones have this feature..
DeleteI hope to get a smart phone soon..
Deletewenn, you should get one, since all phones are becoming "smarter" now and you'll love it!! :)
DeleteInteresting! Coz I don't understand a bit of what u r trying to say :P I don't read or write chinese so tak faham lah what this is all about...
ReplyDeletei thought you are learning chinese with Ethan together?? tsk tsk tsk, maybe let Ethan do this and he'll be enjoying it.. :p
Deleteoh din know they can recognize drawings too! haha! smart! :D
ReplyDeletenot really recognise "drawings" but it's because chinese words are symbolic and derived from "drawings" since the ancient times, that explains why the recognition works.. :)
Delete@.@ seriously?? u dnt use pin yin??
ReplyDeletei use both lah, pinyin on my laptop and handwriting on my phone.. :)
Deletei always use pinyin! haha save my time when do the typing! :p
ReplyDeleteactually pinyin is easier on laptop, but i find handwriting is easier on my iPhone because you know the keypad on iPhone is really pathetic for my fat fingers~~ :D
Deletebut somehow i do realize i can be quite forget how to write it dy. :( no good at all! >.<
ReplyDeleteyeah, that's why i force myself to write them so that i won't forget~~
Deleteare you testing your phone capability now? :P
ReplyDeleteI dunno how to write complicated chinese word :P
ReplyDeleteI know write simple hehe
my phone also can type out complicated words . . . oh well

ReplyDeleteThanks to 黄玉郎先生 *kneel*
ReplyDelete我同事说要写很正确才行的涡
ReplyDelete自从很多年前我开始用电脑之后
现在想到字就先想到拼音
差不多要直接把拼音写出来了
哈哈哈~~~你部手机真係超先进,我部仲停留喺汉语拼音!呵呵呵~~~
ReplyDelete不过,换着係我画得嚟,我嘅一指神功都已经一早拼完囉!呵呵呵~~~
