[Volume 7 Issue 5, #1427]
the availability of car park is really an issue in my neighbourhood.. besides residents of the neighbourhood, the LRT passengers are also fighting for space to park their cars.. as such, it is so common that you see people placing all kinds of objects on the road [NB] to "reserve" their private parking space!! i totally condemn such act, i'm fine if you do this in front of your house or within your own compound, but this road is public and you just have no rights to do so!! and obviously those objects belong to the selfish owners of the nearby houses.. really Malaysia Boleh, speechless!!

    1. I've seen a whole row of car park space being 'reserved' by restaurant, using plastic chairs.

The purpose is to let its customers' convenience. They come, park and eat. Good for business.

  14. Can we call the mbbj to come over and deal with theses issues?

    ReplyDelete
  15. It's illegal to do that as this is the public space... It's will not be fair to the resident as they have to deal with this everyday. So now, it's actually the city hall fault or the government. Didn't actually build more carpark spaces with lower price.

    1. this I totally agree.

They ask you to park & ride but never plan for ample parking.

Later people park illegally elsewhere and inconvenience the nearby neighbourhood - that's why some people mark the parking spot I guess.

      Delete
  21. Or mbe they purposely do that ah? So tha if month end not enough quota for saman can get from those parked there lol...just joking la. anyway they should provide ample parking for all la

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Oh, I agree with that. Giving saman means gaining extra $$ by the end of the month. And the saman doesn't come cheap @.@

  24. OK, I have some free time after lunch to spam this blog!!! LOL

    ReplyDelete
  25. Oh! So selfish of those people to place objects in the parking spaces!!

    ReplyDelete
  26. wow that's a very easy way to reserve a parking space. :P but kinda complicated though if you are about to park :)

    ReplyDelete
  27. Actually, I don't even agree on some of my neighbors placing pots or plants outside their house!! The road outside the house is still a public road, not your own road! So they have no right to block others from parking outside their houses!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. and sometimes those who parked their cars also are a bunch of inconsiderate people. Over at my place you'd see a lot of houses with "please do not park here" sign because a lot of people think nothing about blocking someone's entrance just so they can park.

      Delete
    2. I dislike those brainless ppl too. They thought they will be away for a minute, so parked in front of someone's entrance is ok, But their one minute is actually 30 minutes~

      Delete
  28. But I guess everyone is just bloody selfish and it's common to see people placing such objects on the road. But if they try to place the objects on legal parking spaces, I will sure make a complaint!

    ReplyDelete
  29. They do that here too...to reserve the parking lots in front of the shops - actually public, first come, first serve.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Also in front of coffee shops and restaurants...so that they could put out the tables later when it gets dark...

    ReplyDelete
  31. What to expect? People here no law one... No parents teach, no go to school mah!!!

  33. Parking oso wanna reserve! so unfair to those people who come first. =/

    ReplyDelete
  34. Luckily the neighborhood here at my place still better. >.< If they do the same, beh tahan after dat.

  35. Some streets in the Philippines was converted as parking space by the local government unit. By doing such, they were able to collect parking fee from car owners. Isn't it a clever idea?

    ReplyDelete
  36. You know what my gripe about Malaysians and parking is?

Why we need to park right in front of the place we want to go. Even if that means double parking, triple parking or causing traffic jam?

Cannot park legally although it's a bit further and walk? We are a bunch of lazy people! :(

Is Malaysia so unsafe that we cannot walk out from our car? Really? :(

    ReplyDelete
  37. Then if kena saman, had the gall to be unhappy at the policeman.

    ReplyDelete
  38. dont be defeated, get your chairs and wood now and start booking places XD hahaha

  44. My babysitter's house is directly in front of a school (also my daughter's school). Imagine the traffic during school-in and school-out time!!

I'm picking up my daughter every evening and I'm having difficulty to find a parking space. Yes, they even park in front of my babysitter's house.

I wonder can I ask my babysitter to 'reserve' the place outside her house for me?

    ReplyDelete
  45. 咁都得?果然犀利喔!!!
