I've given out like more than 30 .. hehe, and received a few this year, mostly just symbolic gesture, for prosperity and luck. Gong xi gong xi bro!
ReplyDeleteYou should accept the angpow, it is actually a blessing from the one who give you. You sure huat ah this year.
ReplyDeleteLike me not really feeling shiok, because I don't get angpow, only give angpow, where got shiok!
ReplyDeleteSo gloomy to start work today, Thambee! I wanna sleep lah!
ReplyDeleteEvery year it has become a painful chore just to get ready for ang pows! I had to run from bank to banks to get new notes! In the end, I got nothing as I wanted RM10 notes which were grabbed by early birds!
ReplyDeleteI have given out almost 60 packets already.....my pocket is lighter.
ReplyDeleteLike you, I do take the trouble to specially buy lovely and very exclusive red packets for those special ones like parents and close ones. I feel happy to give now unlike the first year when I went emo instead. Ha ha ha!
ReplyDeleteI was shocked to see FB where some fellas complained or boasted their collection totals so openly. I thought it was silly!
ReplyDeleteI dont know how many ang pao I've given this year.. But I think it's more than last year..... Hehe.
ReplyDeleteI still get angpows from my grandma, my parents, PIL and older aunts :D
ReplyDelete"make sure this is the last year and you'll be giving next year!!" I have said this phrase to my nephew and nieces. Every year, I still receive an Ang Pau from my Mum and my Quay Lo. My family is not too big so there are not many ang paus to give away. Still got few rounds of lunch to meet up with old classmates, dance mates and blogger friends so after that I will know how many have I given out:D. I am very happy to give out ang paus especially to the guards, a waitresses who serve us at a restaurant, jokeys that park our car because the smile I put on the face is more than what is inside the ang paus! Enjoy the rest of CNY. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteme philosophy on angpo giving / receiving is ..
ReplyDeleteU berani bagi, I berani ambil.. :)
Oh I love this big mouth Danny! Happy Chinese New Year!
DeleteMiahahaha i will never say no to ang pau too xD
ReplyDeletedidnt get a lot this year since i didnt went back to hometown :D
Whoa! 18 angpows. If 1 angpow got RM100, SK got RM1,800 already!
ReplyDeleteKan belanja us MAKAN!!!!
I also got angpow. Received them on behalf of Son from colleagues. :)
ReplyDeleteSure happy I got such generous colleagues. ^^

ReplyDeletejust joking la bro! lol XD anyways last time I can collect til RM 400 ++ when I was kid . . .
ReplyDeletenow less than that hahah, and still it is blessed :)
SK, just ignore what they say, collect ang pao is very good and take it as receive blessing every year LOL
ReplyDeleteI didn't count how many ang pows I've given or received (on behalf of my children).
ReplyDeleteJust counted the $$$ received, although those ang pows aren't mine... haha, just like a child.
ReplyDeleteI still give ang pows to my same-age-and-still-single friends. They do accept it with happy faces, I reckon there's a child in every heart despite the age :)
ReplyDelete亲戚,尤其是年纪比我小的,就很不情愿的给咯~~
ReplyDelete后来我也不太好意思收,但是朋友说,这是图个吉利,
一定要收的,也对。
It's sleepy Monday and first day at work after CNY! I miss my CNY holidays!!!
ReplyDeleteI wish I could turn back time so that I relive my CNY holidays all over again!!
ReplyDeleteWow! Got 18 angpows? That's pretty good. SO how $$$ in total you collected? : D
ReplyDeleteOf course no need to feel embarrassed to collect angpow lah! Should feel proud and happy! Haha!! Abuden?
ReplyDeleteGetting older does not mean cannot collect and accept angpow from others. As long as still not yet married, anyone is eligible for angpows haha!!
ReplyDeleteI did not manage to collect up to RM1,300 as planned but there are about 7 more days right? Still got chance hehe : D
ReplyDelete利是利是,都是攞番个好意头啫,所谓“唔知丑,年年攞到九十九”,多多无拘!我都係照样收吖!呵呵呵~~~
