Wow! That plate of chow meen sure looks good!
ReplyDeleteLet me see, what would I miss most when I am overseas too long.. Probably teh tarik and the dhall gravy over two mata-kerbau fried eggs. Yum!
ReplyDelete...and bak kut teh. There is a shop in Kepong that serves the-best-I've-eaten-so-far dry bak kut teh in a claypot. It's really addictive.
ReplyDeleteStill on bak kut teh, and if you are in the Jalan Genting Klang area, the shop along the main road (didn't note the shop name) serves pretty good chu kiok shyun besides their bak kut teh.

ReplyDeleteAll other hawker food or Thai cuisine, I could find them in New York's Chinatown but not Laksa. Maybe they found it stinking..!

ReplyDeleteNo problem if traveled to places in Asia, as rice is served in those country. But put me in US or Europe, then I'll hunt for Chinatown frequently.

ReplyDeleteCurry laksa mee. I was away from M'sia to Australia for 8 days. I missed curry laska like hell. Reaching home, I quickly cooked myself a packet of curry laksa instant noodles to quench my thirst.

ReplyDeleteActually honestly speaking, I'm now missing Hong Kong food! All those polo bao, beef noodles, roasted goose rice, egg tarts, milk tea, dim sum!! I wanna go Hong Kong again!
