My Birthday Treats
okay okay, i know you are cursing me for yet another post about my birthday, but it's once in a year thing so just let me do it lah, i guarantee this is the last one!! haha.. in the previous posts, i bragged about my birthday presents and my special breakfast, so this post will be all other birthday treats, i mean a day with breakfast is not complete without lunch and dinner right?? though both may not be anything special also, haha!! so here you go, some food photos (all taken using my handphone) to be shared and that was my birthday.. period :)
[PS] please don't wish me (belated) happy birthday anymore, reception is already closed!! hehe~~

  5. [#03] crispy bacon and lettuce one one half of a bagel, and melted cheese ham... same time as makan the roast pork Panini ah? how to makan all or with friends? Compare the two which one you say better?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. SK says already the bagel has to give way to roast pork Panini so of course roast pork Panini is better lor.

      Delete
    2. Sk already had bacon in the morning at Bangsar... So most probably the panini with roaste pork will be better... Then the bagel is with bacon , so I'm sure it got the almost same taste in the morning. So that is why SK said the panini is better lor...

      Delete
    3. next time if i go there must try out this roast pork Panini too la, I love roast pork

  6. item 4....ahem ahem "not the best i have had" sound familiar leh....got trademark punya or not this phrase.

Anyway, of course cannot compared to those you have had in Japan la. Many of these dishes have been "localised".

    ReplyDelete

    1. Cannot trademark common phrase like that. If trademark already then we all have less words to use when blogging.

      Delete
    2. Mun don't be so serious here... but it sounds like someone... hahaha... trademark? the abbreviation will be TM? muahaha. He is having nice Musang King durians now...

      Delete
    3. Ok, ok not serious here. I thought that phrase sounds more like STP than TM.

      Delete
    4. Mana mungkin is Anay...he never use this phrase punya leh.

Now I got influenced by the radio. When blog about restaurant...must give constructive criticism. Betul jugak la what the radio say. we also dont like it if people come our blog and talk bad about our writing lo. If the food in a restaurant not nice then maybe we should give feedback so that they can improve. win win situation

      Delete
    2. I love to have BENTO set when I'm with my children. Hubby loves to order noodles, me pula anything also wallop one. It is easy to order in bento set... everything you want is there just the matter what kind of meat, or rice and even noodles... Sometimes the big bento set got sashimi too at least it is economically cheaper than order a plate of sashimi.

      Delete
    3. I also love ordering Bento set, more worth, and got so much to eat... very 'tai'. But actually I love anything also la, except the raw stuff.

      Delete

Usually sashimi will served in a big huge bowl full of ice... hehehe

    3. Muahaha...I'm wrong is Yuzu Jap Restaurant. I had before when I was in KLCC.... so almost feel like being there before lor... their bento set is huge one... pricey too.. never mind lar... you happy can already... just pay!

      Delete
    4. This Yuzu is one Japanese restaurant that I always stand outside looking at the menu but never go in, both in KLCC and Gardens because I think the price is quite high. Higher than Kura Restaurant in One World hotel. Maybe it is just my impression only.

  35. Wah SK your birthday was so much fun lo! See you celebrate it from the eve til the night of your birthday! Hmm I bet this is a very memorable birthday for you la!

Haha the reminder, yes I wa surprise to see reades still wish you belated happy birthday during the recent posts! I mean ya it's the thoughts that counts but then, it's already way past the actual birthday, wish also no meaning already xD

You shared with us so much yummy looking food but you din't mention who you dined with leh?! I think you din't mentioned la, right?
Of course it's none of my business but I just wanna kepo la! Sometimes when we are eating out, besides the food, companion matters too! ;) But whoever the companion is this time, I am sure you all had fun and enjoyed yourselves very much la!!

    1. Mexicana burger!! Wah, me drooling over it now, can see the meat is quite thick and the skin, must be crispy!! Oh so coincident! Your colleague and your birthday is just a day apart!! Good for the rest of your colleagues, can celebrate it together! ;) Haha, if you din't mention the sentence 'i admit i'm uncle!!' we also won't think about the age gap la! Anyway, you are still an ah boy to many of the readers here la! Don't worry, plus age is just a number ma! xD

That roast pork panini, you don't have to say I also can tell it's GOOD! See the thickness of the siew yoke!! And the layers of the fats and pork!! So sinfully beautiful and sinfully leh! So you eat the bun with the pork together or eat separately? And you straight away bite the whole thing or actually slice with knife? If for me, I might start off with both for the first bite, then eat the bun, and lastly the pork, save the best for last ma! Haha, no reason for why I chose to eat that way, that's what I think at this moment :p
Oh ya, the french fries and the salad are totally being ignored in this case.....

Cripsy bacon and lettuce bagel, this is very presentable, I actually think it's like a mixture of western and malaysian style, the way they put the chili sauce on top, reminds me of nasi pattaya, haha!

  36. And you went for Japanese food for dinner!! I always say YES to Japanese food, I just love it, especially their fragrant rice! Even eat them plain is something so enjoyable to do.
I miss those authentic Japanese meal I had many years ago when I visited Japan!
Anyway as much as I love Japanese food, that sashimi platter doesn't look inviting to me since I don't do raw food, I just don't. But everything that comes after that sure looks inviting to me! Tempura, must dip with their sauce, slurp!

Teriyaki chicken, my favorite! If I cannot decide what to order, Teriyaki chicken is always on the top list, since I don't eat beef ma.. And sometimes pork can be more fattening than chicken, so order chicken sure is wise.
You very 'calculative' also, still think about what you had for morning and lunch, then only decide what to order for dinner, hehe, sometimes I am like that as well, to balance up ma hor? ^^

Chawanmushi me likey too! And their miso soup as well, I actually bought miso paste many months back from a hyper market, and since then I will cook my own miso soup. Easy, fast and yummy! Can just eat with plain rice, also very satisfying already. Sometimes when I am lazy or in a hurry, I din't even out anything into the soup, no tofu no seaweed.. Hehe... And Aden also follow me, he loves rice with soup so he can eat like one small bowl of rice!

    1. Wah so good, got extra baby octopus! Hmm, birthday boy is really different huh? :p

Lastly, the cake, a birthday is not complete without a birthday cake huh? You said you have been eyeing this cake for months? Then why din't you buy and try? Or you purposely tahan and wait til your birthday and ask people to belanja you? Hehe!
Black sesame cake, sounds new to me, usually sesame is found in food but seldom on cake, or may be it's me who is jakun, kekek~ But the fruits on top looks good, and the chocolate slice on the side, eh I also feel like having a piece now la! xD

Thanks for sharing the websites too!

    1. There is a link for each food photo to the eatery. The siew yoke panini is from 3 little pigs and big bad wolf in Bangsar Village or Tropicana City Mall.

  40. #01 - Texas Chicken, it is a new thing to me. But it almost like a combo of KungFu chicken and MrD menus...Got burger, got wraps and also got fried chicken. It must be good to try new fast food chain in town right? and how much is one value set? Furthermore, from your photo I saw that big piece of CHEESE laying underneath there...Slurrp!
