the 4D3N trip to Bali in 2004 would be the most spontaneous and a trip i went with the most number of mates since i graduated.. i remember AirAsia just started business not long and flights to Indonesia had never been so cheap, that was why it created the excitement among us and hence the trip..

Good morning SK, everyone!
ReplyDeleteVery nice photos.
DeleteC - Didn't know Bali has a cliff so nice. Looks almost like in Europe.
G - Enjoying tea like in Camerons at the tea plantation viewing deck..
H - paddy fields - so green and soothing and very nice houses in the background.
I - High street so happening already at that time.
DeleteJ - Tanah lot temple island always reminds me of bonsai - a pretty and nicely-designed garden in a planting pot. No?
L - haha.. You're quite a model there, wor! So "kau siu". Nice! Memories, eh?
M - Very nice Balinese gate. I feel part of the attraction of a place is its history - customs, architecture and so forth. Sadly, Malaysia does not see it and instead history is being destroyed as if people come here to see the twin towers alone! Aarghh!
DeleteN - Is the tattoo for real? If so, why cicak? Interesting one to choose. Two, some more. ;)
ReplyDeleteAlright, last question. 6 pairs. The other cicak in the back row? :p
DeleteNice group photo. One for the album certainly.
Ten years - time for a revisit?
You were so lucky to have missed that incident. I too missed a disaster. I was supposed to be at Borobudur the week Mount Bromo erupted. Gosh, that certainly was close!
Thanks for sharing these lovely photos. Memories are certainly made of these..
Looking forward to your next trip. Dubai should be fun..
If not mistaken the cicak is a symbol of bringing good luck over there. Me too wondering is it real or temporary tattoo
DeleteTattoo make a guy looks more macho. I don't mind if Jin Jin wants to tattoo my name on his trunk, oops! I mean his muscular arms la!
DeleteMeow, you are right! For Indon, cicak/lizard is sort of like a sacred thing/object. It brings good omen and protects the family.
DeleteMeow should moves to Egypt. Cats are sacred animal there :p
Egypt ah ....errr...gua beh tahan the hot la...some more have to balut from top to toe....
DeleteIndonesia Rupiah, lots of 000 behind, kaka....
ReplyDeleteWill stay tune...
ReplyDeleteHello SK Thambee....Nice Bali photos. I have seen all those places. Very lovely memories for me!!! Your photos were all well taken and better than mine!
ReplyDeleteWow! You were so young and handsome nia wearing sexy singlets everywhere!!! Sure Kamala pancut like tsunami dei.
ReplyDeleteWahhhhhh!!!!! So slim, so handsome. What happened? Hmmm...show off armpit hair! Muahahahahaha!!!!
DeleteSTP, how you know SK has armpit hair? Many guys who do weight training in my gym don't have armpit hair one.
DeleteMost of them are clean and clear down there.
Hormone overdose? Or they shave?
DeleteGood life to be able to travel starting from such young age....
ReplyDeleteYour gang had 12 fellas on Bali Hai holidays!!! That was sure fun and lots of laughters. I am sure the photos totaled over 10,000 shots by 12 people. I am always scared to travel in big groups after getting few minor headache experiences.
ReplyDeletewhen young easy to travel with big group la coz all easy going one. No kids no nothing...just bring bag and off can go already
Deletegrow older then susah liao got kids .
Ah... I agree with meow. It's even harder with 2 kids! So many things to consider and the baggage is double/triple.
DeleteI like that place where you dined and looked at the volcano so close by at your nose! Any minute the volcano could explode and spewed hot lava while Thambee was still sipping his Luwak Coffee with scones!! Muahahahaha
ReplyDeleteI didn't go to Gunung Kintamani. I went to somewhere else opposite that highest Gunung Agung which could be seen above the clouds from the aeroplane! Did you go there?
Deleteyuck......kopi luwak....i hear also scared liao
Delete我最難忘巴厘海神廟嘅日落同按摩,好靚!
ReplyDeleteI love that photo Thambee posed with the surf boards!! If you had surfed at Kuta Beach like Baywatch actors, I am sure Pamela Anderson would have jumped onto your board and sink it with her boobs! Wakakakaka
ReplyDeleteLOL at TM's comment!!
DeleteThe photo of SK with the surf boards is cool, he has the beach-boy look!
wei...Pamela Anderson...or Pomelo..... i see like got two Gigantic pomelo there....surf oard also will karam leh
DeleteI remember there was a big cliff near Tanah Lot that has a big hole in between. Even helicopter could fly across dei. I could sit there for hours admiring the ocean while Letchumi did her Yoga poses there!!
ReplyDeleteGood morning! Selamat pagi semua!!
ReplyDeleteWow, Bali! It's in my list of places-to-go leh!! But hubby is not keen in this place, he said it's boring =_=" (Don't ask me why he came out with this conclusion when he had never been there yet)
But why now only you blogged about it? It's 9 years ago leh! You were still so young and slim and so 'ah boy' look!! xD
DeleteOr may be you already blogged about it last time but now re-blog about it?
I personally think tanah lot and uluwatu have the best view ever!!
DeleteAnd lots of my friends who went there also highly recommended the massage and spa treatment! The couple massage is also syok, both naked and can relax and enjoy great view at the same time! Haha xD
I see a few pretty ladies in the photo! Got anyone you like arr that time? Share with us la! ^_*
DeleteI didn't see pretty ladies, I only saw a few handsome boys, of course including SK la!
DeleteNever been to Bali... Very (s)exciting there, they say? Hmmmm...masks! Very symbolic. The Chinese say you know a person's face but you do not know his heart...

ReplyDeletei think the culture has a lot of similaritise,
hmm i saw some indonesians and they were really a lot like
ReplyDeletefilipinos! the features has a lot of similarities
the exchange peso to rupiah exchange was indeed shocking
ReplyDelete1 peso is equivalent to 790 rupiah or something!
that balinese gate was the most stunning landmark ive saw here!
ReplyDeletei seems like it was cut by a giant or something haha
have a great day and happy blogging sk
ReplyDeletetake care always and god bless you
Whoa good wind water at the Tanah lot temple haha, Hindu temple? Love the Balinese gate at the airport like walking through a split mountain.
ReplyDeleteA- like postcard la the shoot. Ptrint and give as prize :)
ReplyDeleteB- really look like Ah Boy leh....so young .
DeleteD- ya I had dinner at Jimbaran too. Guess that is the tourist spot for watching sunset and have dinner. The time i went not cheap leh
DeleteE- is at a temple right? why they tarak ask to wear a purple or range kain ah? When I was there they asked to wear ..
DeleteF- kintamini...that is the place kena "serang" by the petty hawkers...come out from the car aje the crowded around us asking to buy their barang. Cabut lari into restaurant baru they dare not follow

DeleteNice group photo....one whole group go very fun de. Guess now older it's hard to get everyone together to go for vacation lor
DeletePicture O, the girl stood behind SK looked like HB's girl friend.
DeleteSK, this Bali trip looks more interesting than Nepal trip. You were so slim that time. Arms were toned. Didn't know you have tattoo. It is a pair of lizards. Fulamak! I still dare not try tattoo on my body, but I tattoo my eye brows, eye lids and lips. Muahahaha~
ReplyDelete這些遺憾才是促成你下次再去的衝動

ReplyDeleteThe Bali Marathon looks like fun but cannot go this year.
It's too near to KL Marathon. :(
I'd like to visit Nepal and Bali someday.
ReplyDeleteBut I'm completely ambivalent about a trip to Dubai.
Blame it to my prejudice to the Arabs. (Yeah, I guess I am racist) :(
