Good morning people. Traffic jam has been part of my life and made me immuned to it.
ReplyDeleteIn my lovely hometown, only 2 festivals that we have bad traffic jams. Chinese New Year and Ching Beng.
DeleteI find it amusing to live here in this country where you can predict the traffic jams everyday. I would know which roads to avoid if it rains because they might get flooded. On Fridays, many roads would be congested as well in some areas during noon and evenings. This has been part and parcel of my driving life.
DeleteYan, I think Raya too!
DeleteIf KL no jam would be during CNY and Hari Raya time. Otherwise, you can expect traffic jam daily.
DeleteIf one day no jam must faster go the ekor shop an buy number. Mana tau can strike 1st prixze
If I were to get trapped in such traffic jam, somebody please shoot me. I've staying in a traffic-less town for 10 good years, I don't wish to move to any other urban jungle.
DeleteI'll turn into a monster after 10 minutes in traffic jam, haha! Usually my patience is quite high, though.
Oh gosh, that picture is mind-boggling. Good thing KL jams are nowhere like that!
DeleteSK, gotta thank you for reminding us how lucky we are here in KL. haha..
Not sure how far it's true, have been told that some people in Bangkok have urinals in their vehicle anticipating hours-long jam from point to point. Again, count our lucky stars?
Horrible jam in KL when Selangor is on holiday!
DeleteWhahaha
Yeah! I am the first?
ReplyDeleteNah~I am not. Haha :D
ReplyDeleteMakes me think about hearing about the jams in the causeway during the long weekend....
ReplyDeleteThank goodness the traffic in malacca is still ok. Not as bad as in KL. :p
ReplyDeleteI have counted, there were about 9 to 10 lanes of massive traffic in the picture. Where is this road in KL has such big lane?
ReplyDeleteHot Mama I also strained my eyes looking at the highway and tried to guess the place in KL. I realised the vehicles looked like in China! Only China has highways that wide and jams that crazy.
DeleteKL no that many lanes la...agak agak 4 lanes only but during traffic jam the 4 lanes can magically turned into 6 lanes or more. LOL
DeleteMalaysia has the most dangerous, fast and furious drivers in the statistic. Who cares how many lanes are there on the highway? They will "make" one if there is none :p
DeleteYalah,
DeleteMalaysian drivers can turn a two lane road into a four lane road what.
Squeeze squeeze and masuk masuk.
The traffic is KL is quite bearable to me and we are in the middle between Thailand and Singapore. The traffic in Bangkok is horrendous and still very jam at any hour of the days while traffic in Singapore is a bliss! Their jams in the republic is shorter and moving with the help of the traffic controllers.
ReplyDeleteMay be because Singapore has better public transport system than Malaysia.
DeleteHave not been to Bangkok. Ya KL jam is still not that teruk la. at least the jam is the kind that is moving one. Not stand still. If stand still cham lor....habis petrol
DeleteSometimes, I am confuse whether we the drivers have problem or they the person who designed the road has problem.
ReplyDeletewhat you mean?
DeleteI think maybe public transport punya problem la. More and more people buying cars and less taking public transport. Why ...coz public transport tak boleh harap one...
We are too busybody sometimes - we tend to slow down and kay poh whenever there's accident or saw any dramamelody on the rodeside.
Delete"Quickly, jot down the number for lottery draw later", lol!
How I wish that I could just ride subway trains all over Klang Valley without using a car. I guess it will never happen until another 5-6 years. I think Hong Kong and Singapore are so well planned that you can live without cars.
ReplyDeletePeople in Hong Kong, Singapore and Japan can survive without cars.
DeleteTHe LRT here not strategic la. no really connecting one. Just look at the monorail to KL Sentral. Stopped haldway then expect people to come down and walk to KL sentral to change
DeleteAnd the KTM and LRT not really connect also except the ones at bandar tasik selatan...
now they are building LRT in sg buloh...but from what i see, the station is not connected to the KTM station....need to take a bus or a cab to go.
How la expect people to take train if in this case? Those with car would certainly prefer take car lo
True, Singapore's MRT is so convenient. And so do Taiwan, Japan and HK. Their route map is excellent.
DeleteMany of them travel with MRT/LRT to work and saves lots of money from buying a car. A few years later, from that saving they bought a bigger house, which is even better right?
DeleteGood morning, SK and all! I despise traffic jams. Anyway, I'm hardly struck by traffic jams as I don't live in KL/PJ. Here, I always try to avoid the peak hours should I need to go to town. But sometimes there are irritating jams caused by people themselves!
ReplyDeleteyup...tjose double parking and triple parking....two lanes become one lane
DeleteGood morning SK, Yan, wenn, STP, TM, Ah Hua and everyone here!
ReplyDeleteHappy Tuesday!
Well, firstly, I always salute those of you working at KL/PJ, how can you guys survive and tahan with all the crazy traffic everyday?
Sometimes I wonder, what will our country become in the years to come, imagine numbers of vehicles are increasing, then sure no place to do car parks already.
DeleteAnd you're so right, there're just too many inconsiderate drivers here, we just don't need them.
DeleteAgreed here..
DeleteTotally ignored those reckless and BTC drivers...
DeleteThank goodness no such problem here - only around Chinese New Year and Ching Ming when everyone comes home - and jam up the roads. If GE comes around, I think it will be very busy too...but other times, nice, laid back...so peaceful, so quiet...and yet, not dead like some places.
ReplyDeleteMy post tomorrow also on roads and drivers... Check it out, ya!
ReplyDeleteUiss....stp, at one glance, your icon looked like the DAP rocket!
DeleteLast Sunday, we went up KL and was caught in a terrible jam due to Ching Ming. Aiyo..... so waste of time le....
ReplyDeleteMy area here not that bad. To/from work no prob. But if need to go down town between 11 am - 3 pm.... the road super jam! Wonder why ppl no need to work le ? Or too many ppl running sales ?
DeleteI prefer KTM / LRT. But our system here not connecting and not convinenece. Sad !
DeleteKL anytime also jam.... now school reopens, lagi jam. Susah......the best is stay right opposite of the office ! haha....
DeleteI still remembered I used to work in the Summit, USJ and stayed opp (terrace house). I can take my own sweet time to walk to work every morning! Such a bliss....
DeleteTraffic Jam will never come into my mind at Taiping.
ReplyDeleteUnless festive seasons, school holidays and so on. This time, lots of people coming back for Ching Beng.
DeleteWe'll notice many cars coming from all the states, when you see many car plates starts with W, J, P and etc...
DeleteI still remember that government encouraged car pool, ages ago. But everyone never seems to bother. I know everyone afford to buy one...
DeleteOr else everyone mind set is different. Different ways of thinking.
DeleteWhen you know you are working far a way from home, can't you wake up a bit early...
Some people make used of this traffic jams excuses because he/she woke up late.
I hate this especially the LDP road outside of my house, it's so jam and wasting time!!! =[
ReplyDelete家吓啲馬路天使要停就停,要出就出,完全大曬。都喺啲80/90後...
ReplyDeletetraffic! good thing our city wasnt that big for that!
ReplyDeletetho in manila, our capital it was really disgusting
it was said to have one of the most worst traffic ever
and even nicki minaj had experienced it on her concert here
ReplyDeletehaha
but i guess traffic was inevitable, i mean
ReplyDeletethe population was growing so might as well
the drivers, but yet the roads still stay the same
in my case it wasn't about the traffic that pissed me off
ReplyDeleteit the bus drivers themselves our buses here has no bus stop
so they would gather passenger everywhere and most of the time
they would stop for so long to wait for their bus to stop
i heard malaysian has a lot of motorbike riders?
ReplyDeleteit's your way to escape the traffic right? or is it on thailand haha
motorbikes were kinda scary to ride on
by the way i was so amaze in the banner! it seems like
ReplyDeletewe were some sort of finalist on a prestigious contest
it excite me even more haha
have a great day and happy bloggin sk
ReplyDeletetake care always and god bless you
I think we had the worst traffic situation too haha
ReplyDeletethat is one of the most notable trademark of Phil especially in Manila and I worked there before so I know the situation grrrr
ReplyDeletei know how upsetting it would be when dealing with that huge traffic
ReplyDeletegood thing i have enough patience to control myself from being mad or else I will transform myself into "Hulk" and throw all that cars that hurdling my way haha
ReplyDeleteI‘ve been wanting that projector on windscreen for so long, always feel like what to FUxK those idiots on the road!
