大家見到嘅其實唔係真食物, 而係假可亂真嘅食品模型!! 其實我一向來都非常著迷於呢啲食品模型㗎, 甚至可以企住喺度仔細欣賞每一個細節之處(就好似男人昅女人胸部同女人研究男人激凸一樣), 讚嘆模型做得多麼地逼真.. 個人覺得日本食肆最常見呢啲食物模型, 我認為係一個吸引食客入座非常之好嘅方法.. 其實初初我係愚蠢到以為呢啲食物模型, 係真食物經過多重防腐措施製成嘅, 後來先知道其實全部都係人造膠嚟嘅啫, 哈哈!! 我真係想真心講一句, 齋睇都覺得佢非常好味, 好神奇好一級棒呀.. :)
nope, these are not real food mind you, but just food model display that look like real!! i am always fascinated by these food models, and i can even stand there admiring every detail (like men looking at a lady's boobs and women examining a man's bulge), awed by how real they are made to look.. i think these are more common in japanese restaurants, and i really like the idea of display such food models to attract people going in to dine.. initially i was so dumb to think that those are real food very well preserved with layers of anti-perish coatings, haha!! but later i realized they are just mostly plastics mold and colored to look so similar to the real thing.. even looking at them i will drool, really amazing and thumbs up i'd say.. :)

      Good day and happy Friday to all! New Year is only 3 days away, yay!

      Chant and meditate more to get a peaceful mind. I seldom do that though, I just walk to a corner and keep quiet - a time out for myself. Otherwise I'll keep nagging and bragging; which causes all parties to get upset.

      Annay is right, stress is the culprit to all types of cancer.

      I cannot meditate. My mind sure works overtime when I'm sitting still and not doing anything.

      I really cannot empty my mind one.

      But I find going out for a loooooong run is a stress reliever and the endorphins produced during the run caused me to be more relaxed and happier. :)

      It's my meditation while being on the move, I guess.

    SK, you should sign up the art craft lesson that my girls attended once in a month. My girls too enjoy their art craft lesson very much. They colourful clay to make lots of things. Currently April is working on a birthday cake, May is working on little things like sushi or Angry Birds. I always complain don't know where to keep those craft work. Next time, I just sent to you as Christmas present, since you like these so much.

      My kids love art craft lesson and I have yet to register them. The idea of using the food models at restaurants is very good, as people are easily influenced visually :)

      The tutor will teaches you to mold and shape whatever you want. Maybe you'll get yourself a fake boobs and transform into a BBW by wearing it, LOL~

      In Japan almost all restaurants have to display their menu this way using fake dummies. We all stood there admiring them for a long time and took over 100 photos! Too nice to look at and they even have shops selling fake food dummies for you to buy & display at your shop!

      Hahaha, look at the plastic food and hear our tummy rumbles. It's certainly a very efficient way to attract their customers.

      Visualization is very important, mah~ SK also know, "men looking at a lady's boobs", and he missed out the vital point that after looking at boobs, men will get so-high :p

    but what we have here was something un realistic

      One thing I can say about food industry in Japan, WYSIWYG really applies.

      What you see on display is most probably almost 100% what you'll be presented on your table. Really!

      Well, maybe except McD and all those fast food places lah. But those aren't Japanese.

      I'm talking about mom & pop Japanese restaurant in Japan. ^^

      Those realistic looking plastic food keychain also not cheap wor... around 600yen-800yen.

      Unless of course you buy the lower quality ones at Daiso or 100-yen shop la... ;p

      actually ah, even food used for food photo shoot may not be what it is. Ice cream melts easily. Mashed potatoes is usually to in exchange, as they show similar texture. Interesting, right? :)

    Talking about this type of clay craft. My two girls realy enjoy it. The clay isn't cheap. I spent a lot on it. I need to find place to keep those clay work. Sometimes, when I wasn't in good mood, I would say things like stopping to send them to clay craft class. Now I think I should continue to send them there. Since SK values this clay craft work so much.
