18.12.2012 | 一卡心意

[Volume 7 Issue 12, #1632]
it's one week to christmas, are you well prepared to have a big celebration and have great fun?? haha.. went to buy some christmas card few days ago, and have you realized greeting cards are getting rare?? when festive comes, how long have you not sent someone a card, how long have you not received a card?? progressing with time, i would say we rarely send greeting cards, because we have facebook, whatsapp and SMS which seems to be more effective and convenient channels to send out greetings.. anyway, i still think a card is more substance, the rarer the warmer it makes us feel and the more we appreciate right?? so everyone come send me cards, haha!! :D
[note] this post is inspired by the christmas card i received from a blogger.. thank you so much for the card!!

Like starfish SP who is very active at night in the ocean bed after consuming large pot of BKT. And he'll need to work out several times a night to burn the extra calories. LOL~

This card is the heart that counts.

    2. Now you make me ponder, where is the nearest place that I can find some nice Christmas cards.

I feel truly shameful for forgetting about sending cards. But I do wrap some Christmas gifts for friends.

    3. It is okay that you don't send cards out. Just wish everyone here will do. It is the thoughts that counts.

    4. Hot Mama can use the computer and make cards like Anay. It will be faster than going to the shop to buy the cards and post them later.

    5. Tan Sri it is difference..

    6. oh you received xmas card from STP too?? oh yeah, that was rather a surprise to me too.. hmmmm, i think the best card is of course DIY card, like what Anay has personalized for us.. he just use those nice photos to reflect what he thinks about us, haha!! but of course those cards must only be kept very privately~~

    7. I like annay's Christmas cards, they reveal the true face of each HHBC, kakakaka!

Eh, annay, I know your darling Letchumi helped you with the cards because you said you are dummy to technology. You needed her to create your Facebook and Blogger account!

      Delete
    8. Letchumi is a very handy wife to Anay. That's why Anay sayang Letchumi so much. Only let her carry souvenirs and shopping loots.

      Delete
    9. At least Anay didn't let Letchumi carry his luggage.

      Delete
    10. If Anay lets Letchumi carry his luggage, I bet he'll use the excuse that Letchumi wants to carry it for arm workout. LOL

And because Anay knees cannot handle big, heavy objects. Teeheeeehheeee

  3. I used to buy a lot of greeting cards when I was in school! CNY, raya, Christmas, Deepavali.. now that I think back, I must have spent a lot of my pocket money on just cards! Haha.. these days I never send cards anymore when there's FB or whatsapp, because it's too expensive to mail out cards internationally :P

    1. hahaha back then i think for sure all of us are buying a lot of cards.. now i guess the trend has gone electronic already.. not even need to send e-card, but just a simple greetings on facebook and whatsapp.. quick and convenient, and instantly reach!!

      Delete
    2. Same here, I used to buy greeting cards in my teens, when computers were still very new to the (my) world. I took the effort to write nice greeting, exchanged with my friends and sent some to relatives and friends across the country.

      Delete
    3. But then, I evolved to use e-cards which is cheaper and hassle free, sending greetings for birthdays, CNY, Hari Raya, Christmas and the rest of the festivals.

Now, no more e-cards for me and I only post greetings and wishes on friends' and my FB wall.

Oh ya, I "upgraded" to use sms/whatapps my friends now, gosh, they must be thinking how lazy I am!

    4. ya back in school i used to buy a lot of cards too.

really love going to pasar malam looking and selecting CNY cards during those times.

But tarak tau baca chinese so had to ask friends or the seller to translate.

I remember during those days...I can string a few rows of CNY cards and or paste them on the wall making decoration. But always after CNY kena scolding coz when take down the cards, the paint on the wall will come out too :(

    4. Hehehe, Don't worry, annay, I'll expose the card when my kids are all above 18 years old. Now cannot show mah, so obscene~ My kids would think their mama is crazy over macho men and would ngap all the handsome muscular guys around.

  9. A sign of the times though it's nice to receive a physical card.

However, I still think an occasion as significant as a wedding warrants an actual card instead of an online invite.

Btw, you may want to recheck on STP's blog url.
