Good morning, SK!!
ReplyDeleteO.o I've got the virgin sip today?! Surprise, surprise!
DeleteI bet because it's Monday and everyone is busy clearing up the outstanding tasks :) No wonder no one is around, even 10 minutes after the post is up, hehe~
Ok, scroll up to see what SK post about. Just saw 2 glasses of barley drink in the picture.
Deletethat's barley drink ke? Look like just murky water. :-D
Deletehappy morning people..
Deletepeople still sleeping
Good morning everyone.
DeleteFirst of all thousand maaf to SK for neglecting his blog for 3 days. Same goes for the rest of the gang. Yiou know the story la...bla bla bla
Ya...bee having tasteless coffee and etc a lot but then darn it...yesterday evening had Uncle Lim Coffee at Subang Parafe. Whole night cannot sleep. Padan muka me for drinking kopi so late in the evening. The kopi very kao
Good morning, Lina, SP and meow!
DeleteLina, that's not barley drink? Does it looks like ahem campur air then? LOL!
Good morning, SK, lina, SP, meow, Ah Hua and TM. Today, seems like only HHBC is here. No other people yet.
DeleteGood morning SK and all! Yes, drinks nowadays are rather expensive. I don't usually order any drinks. I prefer to drink when I get home after the meal. But I don't mind ice-kacang or so.
DeleteYvonne,
DeleteHow does ahem campur look like ah? I tatau. Me innocent like that! kakaka
Morning, everybody!!! Morning, SK! You miss me or not?
Deletelina.. of course you tak tahu..
Deleteevery time ahem juice keluar already go in your body... where got chance to see it? kakakaka
happy Monday morning everyone!!!!
ReplyDeleteOnly Yvonne here?
Mana Arthur oppa? :-D
Arthur oppa.. is riding horse now..
Deleteooo sexy lady... or maybe eating his kampua mee..
I think he will resign for good when November month come...
this is what he said..
Oppa said he'll be busy starting November. Don't know what is he up to? Maybe he goes sulking in the corner, because SP and TM always shoo him away whenever they see him here. Poor thing~
DeleteAs for me, November is a very busy month but I try to come and visit. Now I got to drink first before I go to work.
DeleteWho's looking for me? Miss me, is it? November, not busy lah!!! Already No. 1, step aside and give others the chance mah. December, I will be away...so you all will not see me around much perhaps.
DeleteDepending on the outlet, sometimes I'm guilty of buying bottled water from supermarket first before going to makan.
ReplyDeleteSome outlets now dun even want to serve plain water in glass. I guess not enough untung for them. They force patrons to buy marked-up bottled mineral water from them instead. :-S
They get more profits with the drinks than the food, kot. ):
but I always order drinks at the mamak... :-P
Deletethere are a lot of restaurant that charge FOC for plain hot water..
Deletenormally if I dine in restaurant, me and my wife will order warm water..
Grr...there was one restaurant that charges RM1 for a glass of plain water!!! Plain water you know....for me it's like PAIN water lor to my purse.
DeleteBut some restaurant say kenot bring own drinks leh....usually i hentam and bring also la. After all got buy food from them mah. Not as if sit there and never buy from them
Now more and ore restaurant charging for plain water leh. Min 20sen
Once I ordered carrot juice as I was thirsty. I drank up all and guess what's down at the bottom of the glass? Black thingy was there! I swear that I will never take their drinks anymore.
Deletehahaha ,,,,Wenn, I kena too. Mine one was Katt Chai Shuin mui drinks....got baby katt chat(lipas) floating on the drink. At first i thought it was the asamboi powder but see properly its lipas. Since then I dare not order that drink from that particular shop. Think maybe the lipas go makan the asamboi or what...yuck
DeleteSk next time bring your own water bottle when go out to eat..
ReplyDeletelike when I go for lunch I normally order a chinese tea or herbal tea..
my colleagues don't order any drink and go back to office and drink
But very mah farn la if bring own water bottle. Sometimes some outlet dont let leh unless it's small kid la.
DeleteMe also usually order chinese tea. But even chinese tea I suspected some shop "recycle" the tea leaves.
SP, I kind of agreeing with you. I either BYOB or order Chinese tea, usually ony RM0.40 ( the most expensive charge in Taiping) or I rather go thirsty, then returning to office only drink plain water.
DeleteFirst, I can save money, second I can cut down in taking sugary water.
Anyway, so far Taiping kopitiams are still ok. Not so expensive la!
But my girl will bring her own water bottle. So we share. Prefer to drink own water than consuming those dirty water. Do you know they might use tap water?
DeleteWhat is BYOB??? Bring Your Own BOOBS!
DeleteSP always bring his man-boob around what! LOL
DeleteTap water? That's why order hot water as opposed to air suam. Hot water sure kena masak first, right? ;)
If I go Japanese outlets, sure order ocha. Some stupid outlets charges RM2 for a refillable ocha but man, the tea is so diluted, the drink is not green anymore. :(
Payung Cafe in Sibu, best lah!!! Big glasses ice-cold water FREE OF CHARGE and can ask for refill again and again... Hehehehehe!!!! Secret Garden here also free... Other cafes...50 sen - RM1.00...and one RM2.00, reverse osmosis drinking water...one glass, plus ice, not even half a small bottle!!! Tsk! Tsk!
Deleteactually now my wife also practice bring your own boobs .. kakakaka ..
Deletewe don't care whether the waitress saw our own drink or not.. just hemtam only..
SP, your wife BYOB, so you will free flow of milk to drink eh! Good for you la!
DeleteI agree with SK.
ReplyDeletesometime the drink is very diluted..
there is a chinese restaurant near my office that a make a good teh tarik.. I always order that..
I will boycott that shop if their drinks are not nice to drink.
DeleteOnce, I ordered barley drinks and it was so horrible. Just like drinking a glass of syrup water with no taste of barley!
Deleteso far there is one restaurant that i like la. Their kopi really kao and when asked not to add so much sugar they wont add. The workers from Vietnam i think.
ReplyDeleteI don't mind the coffee from Old town white coffee. But I usually don't drink coffee. I only love ice kacang or cendol.
DeleteAiks?! After one and a half hour, only HHBC members show up? Where's the rest?
ReplyDeleteI was caught up in the Big Cheese's room after leaving 3 comments above. No chance to read the content yet.... reading now.
SK's post is about diluted drinks, hahaha! I'm staying in a small town here, seldom go to chain restaurants which serve RM10 drink per glass. Usually go to kopitiam or hawker center to order herbal drinks prized at RM1. Some shops serve diluted ones, some generous taukes serve tastier drinks.
Ah Hua, remember i swear i don't want to talk to him for the next 3 months. I have suffered a lot during the 1 hour session talk last week.
Deletesometimes I would just go for sky juice but mind you, some restaurant charges sky juice too!
Deleteah hua .. nowadays in KL all the herbal drinks are mix with powder one..
Deleteno longer that they boil from raw material..
Selamat Pagi..very usual for Bananaz when in kopitiam would go for a cuppa cham after meals. If in restaurant would opt for plain water & not Chinese tea coz read lots of stories regarding recycled tea leaves with all the coloring
ReplyDeleteNo point paying so much for diluted drink. Better bring our very own can drinks. They could charge double for any kind of can drinks too.
DeleteI like going to places where they'll just put a glass of water in front of you without us asking for it. That's service. :)
Deletesome restaurant offers sky juice when we just sit down. I like that kind of service too. Then we don't need to order drinks anymore.
DeleteUsually hotels will offer sky juice for free.
Delete呢度咖啡店薏米水叫價S$1.20,問你死未?!
ReplyDeleteHahahahahahaha!!!!! Come and see my post tomorrow. Fresh lime juice - only 80 sen for a BIG glass!!!! Eat your heart out!
ReplyDeleteSTP drink your heart out haha
Deleteyou sure it is lime juice? kakakaka
Deleteor other juice? there are many juice that is sour you know.
Lina know the best..
It's sour? You've tasted too, SP? Whose?
Delete你仲话薏米水打孖上,我有时都係点白开水咋! :)
ReplyDeletewell im quite frugal so i dint usually buy expensive drinks why would i buy expenssive if i could use such money to buy plenty of cheaper brands
ReplyDeleteanyways im not adventurous either i drink the usual drink i used to drink ( how redundant that sounds)
ReplyDeletehaha
but i think a little bit of leisure obne in a while isnt bad at all
ReplyDeleteIf drinks are worth the price why not? its better to spend money for such products than vices
I remember my post in my old blog about the most expensive liquor ever it casts millions i dont get why they produce such products at all haha
ReplyDeletesoo maybe you have to search for cafe who offers good but cheap drinks,
ReplyDeletei hope there is haha
have a great day sk happy bloggin god bless you and take care always
ReplyDeleteSometimes I order plain water only.. cheapest but then maybe ends up drinking tap water supplied by them! :(
ReplyDeleteI order chinese tea most of the time. At least, it is boiled la!
DeleteWalau already RM2??? Next time just take plain water!
ReplyDeleteYes, I agree the drinks are so expensive nowadays with some more expensive than the food!
ReplyDeleteSometimes I see all those drinks so expensive, I opt for just plain water, but they are selling the plain water at RM2 - even not worth it! So end up ordering no drinks at all! LOL
ReplyDeleteespecially barley drink, diluted like plain water =.="
ReplyDeletestart to ask for free drinks. Is the chinese tea FOC?
ReplyDelete
