Morning!!! Morning!!!
ReplyDeleteIdea 1: I know this method, always use this method to shower!!! People might said the bathtub use much water but actually shower head use more than that lo!!!
DeleteMorning morning, was bz this morning.. Again, you were the first wor, very efficient !
DeleteNext time I try to chop at 9am.
DeleteLike that I'll be very stress lo!!! Hohoho!!!
DeleteNot 9am la ChrisAu.
DeleteSK always post at auspicious time one... 8am plus plus. LOL
Yes, it's 8am plus plus, but not sure when lo!!!
Deleteyeah, because of the water rationing thing, i learned to do this!! just stand next to the toilet and make sure when i shower the water will fall into the bowl~~ :p
DeleteCHOPPPP!!!!!
ReplyDeleteOopssss!!!! One second too late! Tsk! Tsk!
DeleteGreat idea, no 1 and no 3. Not too sure about no. 2 - reminds me of that very very tiny hotel (not cheap) in Sg Petani. Kedah. The bathroom/toilet was so so so small - the shower was directly above the toilet bowl!!! And the only toilet in the wall where the toilet bowl is placed sideways, wall to wall - I had a hard time getting myself seated - no space for my knees between the bowl and the wall...so had to sit legs wide open...and had to shower seated in that position! Never again!!!
Delete*only toilet in the world*
DeleteSaw this somewhere - SAVE WATER! Shower with a friend... Wink! Wink! LOL!!!
DeleteAll the toilets in most Japanese budget hotels are so tiny that you might get stuck inside as the door is only 2 feet wide with the bathroom/WC at 3ft X 5.5ft. I think their bathrooms are ready-made fiber plastics that could be bought from hardware shops. So advanced.
DeleteJust nice to fit a naked male and a naked female ...lol
DeleteIsh, Ish, Ish Chris Au...
DeleteSTP, shower with a friend...wink wink! I did with my daughter that is count?
yeah, would be rather uncomfortable too if the bathroom is too small huh?? but good also, don't have such a big area to wash and can SAVE WATER~~ :D
DeleteMorning morning.. Happy Flyday..Oopps feels like Friday to me coz tomoro is a public holiday.. Am bz doing something, will come back later k.. Hi & bye..
ReplyDeleteMorning!!! Morning Princess Ribbon!!!
DeleteHello, am back.. Oohh, today talking about about ideas ahh? I browsed thru your ideas, well, I have to say all are quite practical..
DeleteEspecially the shower head and also the washing machine pipe thingy.. My colleague mentioned about the washing machine pipe, but as far as I know, I never seen my washing machine hose/pipe flowing water out..
Lastime when I was staying with my parents, yep, I have seen the washing machine hose with water flowing out la.. Usually out to the drain behind the house.. But now, in a condo, hmm, never seen that, maybe they have different setting? Not very sure, so can’t comment much..
But yep, colleagues say they use the water from the washing machine to flush the toilets or wash the floors, etc..
My idea is simple.. Stand on a tub.. Use the bucket to bathe.. Scoop up, and mandi as usual, but of coz have to “jau ji jau ji” la.. When the water is almost half-full inside the tub, re-use and scoop back the water inside the tub, to continue your bath.. Like if you need to wash your hair, scoop water using the bucket to wash/rinse your hair, then rinse until “kam siong ha”, you use back the water (collected) inside the tub, and rinse your body pulak..
DeleteYou may say eh, if like that, then the body ma have shampoo stains? Well, “hai kam ger la”, water rationing, wat do you expect? Got extra water to mandi also “tau siew” liao..
Then, after finished bath, collect the same water (in the tub), into a bigger pail, store for flusing toilet.. How? Ok mou?
About not washing hair, I think most people can tahan the two days, but sorry not me.. I, for one, have to wash my hair everyday.. If not, I will feel sticky and dirty the whole day leh.. “sum lei” I know, but really, during my confinement ahh, I bathed 5x a day leh.. No kidding..
DeleteWell, end of the month is coming.. Hope the water ration will stop.. But I heard they are gonna continue for another few months?
DeletePrincess Ribbon -Go saloon to wash your hair lor... cantik somemore after blow.
Deletehuh??!! no water coming out from your washing machine?? how can that be?? your washing machine can telan air?? or so high tech that it makes the water disappear?? haha.. i think it's all conceal and you don't see it only, doesn't mean no water lor.. and OMG!! that is so unacceptable to me lor, reuse the water from your bath for shower?? aiyoh?? but then i think if you can have half a bath tub of water there, no need reuse lor, those used jor geh let it be lah, i rather use less but clean water to shower lor..
Deletegood morning SK and all.
ReplyDeleteWater rationing hot topic. despite nearly daily rain but still have rationing.
due to the water rationing. many have think up loads of good new ways to save water.
Got a friend who shampoo her two sons hair together and using one cedok of water to wash the hair and stuff like that.
Use less body shampoo or soap. Our body not that smell la unless you do hardcore stuffs. Less water needed to wash it off.
DeleteI do that too! I shampoo both together, both sit inside the tub, use back the same water to rinse, teehee.. Ala, budak.. They wont get too dirty rite.. Cincai mandi kerbau will do la.. kekekeke..
Deleteyalah, during the two days with no water, have to do quick shower and cannot enjoy luxury shower or bath time lah.. have to use minimum water as long as we are not dirty then can already :p
Deleteahem ahem...i ask J to" water" my plants can count of ways to reused water ka? After all from ashes we come and to ashes we go leh.
ReplyDeleteEh! I didn't come from ashes lah....You did? Muahahahaha
DeleteI thought my Science teacher said I came from eggs and tadpoles during a horny session. No?
Muahahahaha! Annay TM is still as funny (and creative) as ever! Hi hi, I managed to slot in today after hiatus for several months :p
Deletehaha!! sure save water if you get J to help "water" your plants!! MAK OI!! Ah Hua comes to leave a comment!! must go buy lottery already!!!
DeleteGood Morning Bloggers! So this topic is to save water! Thambee we need to move back to the slumdog village in Chennai and bathe in the river Ganges dei. There our amah & sistas also do laundry besides washing plates and pots plus bathe us!! How nice and sweet to sing under the vultures using free water...
ReplyDeleteOkay back to reality and face facts. Now you only got 1-3 ideas and what happened to 4 & 5? What would we hear on Friday? You might tell us to sieve the used water and boil them before drinking!!! Bluek!
Deleteaiyoyo, of course my ideas are always practical and never nonsense dei~~
DeleteIDEA 1 - I think shower nozzles saves more water as it sprays all over your body from our heads down provided we turn off right away when we got wet enough before soaping. Other wise just use a face towel and wet it before rubbing all over our body to spring clean. Cukup la.
ReplyDeleteyeah, i would think using a wet towel to wipe our body would be the most water-saving thing to do.. did any try that and see how much water saved??
DeleteIDEA 2 - What a silly idea! How to allow the water to flow and conduct soft flush??? Might as well sit on the WC and do your showering so that the water will flow directly into the toilet bowl. I think you better stand inside a huge plastic bucket and shower plus wash your hair. All the water collected inside the plastic bucket could be well recycled to water plants, wash your dog and make a hot cuppa Milo!... Muahahahaha
ReplyDeletenow, that is actually a great idea!! i have never thought of that.. standing next to the toilet and make sure the water flows in may not get all the water down into the bowl.. ah!! i will do so, just stand in a tub and collect all water from there, and give the toilet a nice flush!!
DeleteIDEA 3 - This idea is brilliant and I should do it! I might have to raise my washing machine up on bricks so that the outlet pipe could be placed into a bucket below. I am curious how much water would flow out. I will feel guilty to see how many thousand gallons being wasted over the years!
ReplyDeleteyou have to prepare many empty pails to collect the water, the speed of filling up the pails would make you busy.. keep that and they are great for flushing toilet..
Delete喺喔,忘記咗你哋制水添,唔好意思
DeleteIDEA 1 good.Try to use less water when showering In fact, sometimes we don;t need that much water or that much soap unless we just came back from the jungle or fall into some mud.
ReplyDeleteyou are right!! with the water rationing, i realize we can actually use up a lot less water to shower..
DeleteIDEA 2 cannot la... Your left over water are dirty water ... lagi dirty. How about conserve rain water to wash toilets, cars, mop the floor ...etc.
ReplyDeletehaiyoh, my body not that dirty also lah, actually got soap somemore better still to clean the toilet?? errr, conserve rain water?? if got rain also no need water rationing lah :D
DeleteOpps... I mean IDEA 3 in my previous comment..
ReplyDeleteooopsss, confused already?? and you are confusing me too~~ :D
DeleteIDEA 2 ...hmm ... the water not strong enough la unless its just pee... hahha...
ReplyDeletehaha, i actually just tried with my poo, and it worked woh!! :D
DeleteGood morning everyone...well the time I clock in now is 11.35am...Ok lar after bla bla bla here...the clock will strike 12pm later... So good afternoon to those comes later.... hehehe. Water topic again ar? not much to talk already lar... seems like my idea I already commented in previous post.. Or shall I repeat the same point again here by copy and paste?... Nah, I won't do that lar, because I have something to talk too..
ReplyDeleteI’m sure everyone has many constraint over this kind of water rationing issue. What if the TNB said wanna do this too? How? Definitely not of us will be very happy about it lor.
DeleteOk come back from lunch, got energy to type and the brain can think faster too! hehehe
DeleteIDEA-1
DeleteErm…this one I probably not so agree. Bathing using the shower head I think is much more convenient and it is pretty fast too. Using shower head, we can control the water flows out - It depends on each person requirements for sure lar… those working the office is cleaner than those working at the construction side – the amount of usage is different too. Shower we can grab with our hand whether to shower our left or right hand, legs or what so ever places we wanted to clean. Perhaps it depends on how their bathing pattern too. Some wash hair first, some wet the body first and some probably clean the private part first. Oops going too detail here…phai seh la. Cos trying to explain in layman terms so easy to understand.
Why I say fast, because the shower has a stand, we can use our both hand to wash our body and hair pretty fast. If use the pail to scoop water out, then it will be lil bit slower… once scoop all water pours down… splash! But not all the body part kena leh… So not enough of hand handling the pail, use hand to rub our body and etc. I will suggest use this scoop water function applies to baby and toddlers…
Sorry ya got urgent things to do just now, coming back here…
DeleteIDEA 2
I like this idea. My mom’s house toilet is separated, but we practice that too. I remember last time, when we was younger, my mum will asked us to stand inside a big bucket, then we mandi and then the water flows down in that bucket lor. Toilet was just next to it, scoop the dirty/used water in a pail, in order for us to bring it to the next door. Good hor, 1st level of primary water use for shower and clean our body and then the 2nd level of water can be used to wash toilet.
We must try to keep the toilet cleans everyday (if not definitely got urine stain and smelly if it’s stay longer. This is to prevent germs and bacteria exist here – no good for children). And the terms you used here “soft flush” is a gentle way to describe the dirty water used by us just now.
To add on with your IDEA #3, not only toilet, Wash our porch? Wash our backyard floor and even wash those places need to be clean surrounding our house compound. What if, we wash our car boleh tak? The detergent solution is different wor? Does it matter at all? For me I’ll use it to wash my tyre’s rim ok right?
DeleteIDEA-4
DeleteWhere got? Got meh? Bo wor? U might be out of idea what to post is it? How come leave this IDEA #4 liddat?
IDEA-5
Har? Again? You want us to think of ridiculous idea or asking us to crack our head and worst still for us to squeeze our brain juice to think of IDEA #5?
IDEA-5
DeleteKeep rain's water to water plants and lain lain benda lor... Very useful too to keep rain's water. How many of you did that. Probably living in apartment and condo definitely very hard for them to save those rain water. One of my male colleague keep those rain water as the car battery water leh. How true was this I'm not sure. I know we ladies never bother anything about car's repair and maintenance because we leave it to the men's job...sorry ya, because we can count on them mar...But when come to keep those rain water, better becareful or else, it attract nyamuk aedes pula tu....bahaya tu!
OK lar typo error IDEA #4...nvm lar...as long as it an idea no harm trying it. But I can tell you those housewife definitely have better idea one. Here are some that I can think of beside keeping the water when rains come.
Delete4.1 - For those who take bath 3 times a day, try to reduce to 2 times a day.
4.2 - I like the idea of washing clothes in bulk rather than a few peices at a time. Have you seen the olden days, how people wash clothes? Some they wash in a big bucket water and wash again the second time in another bucket of water... It rather save the water usage lar.. rather than letting the tap water running...
4.3 - All water that use washing vegetables. Try recycle the water to water the plants outside rather than throw it away. It could be as a "gentle fertilizer"..hehehe.
4.3.1 - Or can use it to wash away dishes and pots detergent away first before go through the second cleaning process of clean water. Then this used water we still can keep it again to clean and wash our table cloth after we wiped the dining table after we had our meal. Eh it sound terrific right?...very good idea of this on going process. So far I never done this before, while I'm writing the idea just flow in... hehehe... genius nya...
4.4 - For those ladies who keep long hairs can cut it short for easy maintenance and washing. Definitely save a lot fo water.
4.5 - What about wash clothes, take bath and done all the things by the river side? mandi sungai kan bagus?
Hmm, I thought today got new post..but tak de leh... coming by to say good morning..
DeleteI think no new post today, the "new" post is the "Idea 4 and Idea 5" lo!!!
DeleteYa lor... But he did come over my blog to comment wor... That means he's here not going for a holiday... Probably yes, or he just came back... Is ok lar. I already get use to it... He likes to have surprise and surprises for us this year. He is kinda cheeky and full of ideas.
DeleteCome to think of it. He will definitely come out with a new post but reuse this post again.... Try to make confusion, but hor... I like this way of blogging lor... He wanna catch those who is sleeping all the way who come to comment blindly... He wanna caught who is not paying attention here too... Hehehe
Idea 4 and Idea 5..who can think of it sum more? I already crack my brain and press all the juices liao. Can't think of any... If is to Google not fair right...must have our own creativity and ideas. I agreed what he is torturing us to do so. At least he makes us appreciate every drops of water. Besides that, I believe those strange, cheeky ideas and even silly ideas probably and some do really work to some of us. Stupidity ideas can be a genius one! Wakakaka....I got another glamor name already the Watermelon head...hehehe... Sorry to rant here..I'm waiting for some reports to be generated. So please with me here...let me sembang.
DeleteOverall no matter is a good or bad idea, we must try to make use of it and remember that water and electricity is very important to us...so jangan membazir. Remind ourself to save water and electricity no matter there's any rationing scheduled again or not... try to apply in our daily life. I guess that is the way for every household to get use and continue to practice... So at the end of the day, when the authority say Catuan Air sekali lagi, then you all might not think this is a big issue lor.
Comment blindly? Hahaha, actually this morning I was waiting for new post, then wait, wait, wait, felt so strange why there's Ni new post, then I check back here to read the comments here, saw some of you were saying no idea 4 and 5? Then I just recall he said he will update it on Friday!!! But seriously argh, if missed out one of his post then confirm will comment blindly lo!!!
Deletehaiyoh, of course when no water we don't scoop and splash the water generously, but have to drizzle like shower head or use hand to scoop and then rub the body.. two scoop to clean the shampoo-ed hair, another one two scoop for the conditioner-ed hair, two to three scoops for body etc.. and if got no water, how to turn on the shower head?? haha..
Deletewah, so many brilliant and smart ideas from Angeline!! can make the comments into a post itself and share with your readers lah, haha.. thank you for sharing all the great ideas :)
errr, when you see something like "come back on xxxx to read more", means there will be no new posts lor, the new post will be the new thing in the same post lor, haha~~ last post for the month always like that de ma :p
Washing dishes using the plastic basin should be a great tip. I used to do that those days when I helped my mum to wash dishes.
ReplyDeleteyeah, keep one basin of water to rinse off the soap, and another to clean the dishes.. that's what the eateries are doing right?? guess that's the best way.. :)
Deletethat's the best way to save water. But it won't do for youngsters nowadays.
Deletewell, water comes out from the tap as soon as we turn it on so conveniently now that many take for granted..
DeleteMaybe just 'lap' the body instead of showering? That will definitely save lots of water.
ReplyDeleteoh yeah, i would agree with that!! but then errr, lap like still not so shyiok and feel like still sticky sticky, haha~~ :D
Deletewell, what to do when there's no water supply. I would be so thankful if I could just wipe my body.
Deleteyeah, very true!! when there is no water supply, we do whatever we could to save and use the least water we could :)
DeleteYes, water from the washing machine can be reuse for watering the plants and so forth. We all know the washing machine uses up lots of water. How about hand wash them?
ReplyDeleteBut I'm wondering there should be soap inside the water, can use to watering the plants?
Deleteyeah, same thoughts with 小影 here!! those soapy water cannot be used to water plants i think.. can use to flush toilet or wash your floor etc lah..
Deletebut I thought plants wouldn't mind all kinds of water. Better than no water right?
DeleteDon't know? Got ask my mom about it la, she always use the water to watering the plants after used for rising the vege or rice but I never see she use the "soup water" after washing clothes duh!!!
Deleteyeah, the soap water may not be good because they contains chemicals.. i won't think the plants would want to drink soap water, haha!! :p
DeleteJust pour some used water into the toilet bowl after use. Don't flush unnecessarily.
ReplyDeleteyeah, flushing toilet is so expensive of water!! just flush with used water if needed..
Deletestill need to flush when one does big business. Otherwise, it's intolerable!
Deleteof course big business must flush, it's so not hygienic leaving it there!!
Deletewahhhhhh... got more tips on Friday ah?
ReplyDeleteIni another social experiment? :)
last post of the month always like that mah, remember on February too?? about those walking slow incidents?? :p
DeleteYes, yes now I remember about the walking slow thing...like blocking the way, and you put the incidents separately!!!
Deleteyalah, end of the month don't want to create new post mah, let everyone concentrate so that can focus to get more points :p
DeleteHahaha
ReplyDeleteGreat ideas! So creative la you!
My friends who enjoy their hot tubs at home (obviously they live overseas) save the water in the tub and channel it for the first cycle of their laundry. Water and electricity not cheap la!
But of course, the water is consider clean because they always shower first before dipping in the tub of hot water. :)
My houseld, we use the water (with the detergent) from the washing machine to wash the yard area where we put the washing machine. ;P
yeah, i think it's a brilliant idea to reuse the water from our laundry!! great for flushing toilets and also washing the yard etc..
DeleteActually, I read somewhere that showering uses less water than using scoops.
ReplyDeleteBut this of course because we don't usually be prudent when pouring water onto ourselves. Or also, because some of us shower for more than half an hour!
I experienced long water cut during a loooong draught in Melaka way back in the 90s. Until now, I am very prudent when mandi. :P
yeah, in normal days we scoop and splash and pour generously, that surely use more water than shower.. but when there's no water from the tap, have to use scoop, but then it would be to drizzle slowly onto the body part we target and even use hand to scoop small amount of water to rub.. and yes, i still remember that, i think it's some time in 1999 huh??
DeleteSo far I have not done any of your ideas.. hahaha... when there is no water supply in my house, the most I do is to take showers in my mom's place or my sister's place.. both are staying near.. but of different water storage supply, thank goodness...
ReplyDeletehaha, you are so lucky lah, never been bothered with water rationing.. and i think with your personality, you will just go somewhere for holidays to avoid the water supply disruption :p
DeleteDon't wash clothes unless it's full load. Save water and electricity too! :)
ReplyDeleteI keep my (also Aden's and hubby's) dirty clothes for 2-3 days then only wash sekaligus!
Deleteyeah, wash only when your load is full.. don't just wash only a few pieces of clothes, if needed, then handwash lah..
DeleteSend to dobi lor ... If money can solve problems, then use it.
ReplyDeleteChris, what if the dobi also out of water supply, because I'm sure water rationing also affected their business too..
DeleteThen drive to a dobi that's not affected ...hahhha!!
DeleteChrisAu, that means habis lar petrol kereta...
DeleteI think dobi also don't want accept too many business lo, actually not they don't want, they cannot! Cause many areas were affected la!
Deleteyeah, this time it's very serious.. water rationing means a vast area all kena.. unless you follow the schedule, send to dobi in another zone.. :p
DeleteWhy do I need to come back on Friday for idea 4 and 5? Are you running out of idea and need to do some brainstorming for 2 days?
ReplyDeleteWe had water rationing exercise beginning this month and found it to be very inconvenient. I had to keep reminding my kids only to "soft-flush" the toilet after pee-pee, only allocated 10 scoops of water for head and body wash, hand-washed the laundry, etc.
DeleteThank god everything goes back to normal and I must be grateful for having clean water supply daily ~~
DeleteWah Wah Wah...see who's here today!
DeleteYvonne, you don't know meh, SK likes to play suspend these days, so he keeps the last 2 ideas so that we will come back to check it out!
DeleteBut since today is Friday and I am commenting today, I already can see the ideas, hehe!
Yea, thank God the water rationing has ended!! Must really appreciate water now.
But I heard Kamunting and Aulong will face another water rationing this weekend, for 2 days.
wah!! i thought Ah Hua just dropped by for one comment above, but scrolled down and she spammed a few!! fuyoh, must go and buy lottery tomorrow already.. yeah, must play suspense a bit lah, like that more fun mah.. i have written all ideas at once, just that i hide 4 and 5 until Friday only..
Deleteand true, really have to be very careful with water usage.. the water we could store cannot last long also..
Good afternoon SK and everyone, tomorrow is Labour Day, Public Holiday, hooray!!! Same with Claire, i have not done any of the above ideas, hehe...
ReplyDeleteHI Sharon, Happy Labour Day to you too!!!
DeleteSo nice, got long weekend!!
Deletei think you don't have to do that in SG lah, rarely you have water disruption huh?? but then even with unlimited water supply, we should try to save water too..
DeleteOut of 3 ideas that you shared, I like and do only idea 1. I have to bear with the coldness of water that stored overnight in the pail.
ReplyDeleteMy other option is going to gym/club to shower. I tried to keep rain water in big pail. Did you know my hometown raining damn heavy on those days we suffered from water rationing? So I used rain water to flush toilet and wash dishes. Then, only rinse again the dishes with clean water.
Actually my home town rained heavy since the day the water rationing started.
Yes, it did rain heavily at Taiping during that 2 weeks of water rationing, but still the rationing took place, pelik right? Really scratch head la!
DeleteI also collect rain water, no idea how to use it initially but who cares, just collect first la! I also asked my mum to do the same, and my aunty actually taught us to bath with rain water, she said it's fine and is cooling for the body! Erm in the end I din't bath with rain water la cause my concern is it could be a bit dirty, plus I got enough water storage at home so I still use the water from tank to bath/wash hair. As for the rain water, we use it to wash floor/plates, even laundry~
yeah, it rained everyday but not on the right place, so water rationing still has to go on, haha.. anyway, we all now learn different effective ways to store water and to save water, not totally a bad thing at all huh?? would be good to store rain water, but i don't think i will use that for shower or bath, can use for toilets and washing yard lah..
DeleteDoesn't quite make a difference whether there is water rationing or not, I still believe in recycling the water as much as possible. Currently living in an apartment I do not have my own rain catchment but I do use water from my terrapins tanks and also water from washing my food processor (only if its fruits and vegie that I just processed in it) to water the plants - good nutrition for the plants.
ReplyDeleteCar wash is limited to using the pail even though there is a hose at our disposal.
I reckon its all a little here and there that does count a little if not a lot lor.
yes very true, i guess water is precious and regardless of whether there is water rationing or not, it would be a good habit to save water.. and of course, save water means we save money too.. and agree, it's a little here and a little there, but adds up to some significant amount :)
DeleteHow about using the water you used to wash the vegetables to flush the toilet.
ReplyDeleteyeah, that is a good idea.. flushing the toilet can be with any kinds of used water.. :)
DeleteEh, only 3 ideas? Kena conned with 4 and 5!! :p
ReplyDeleteerrr, i didn't con you lah, did you come back for more?? :p
DeleteIdea 1 : Actually I thought shower head saves a lot of water? It took my shower very long to fill a pail of water.
ReplyDeleteof course when there is no water, your shower won't work and you have to use scoop.. but it's to DRIZZLE water on your body, controlled, not splash generously :)
DeleteIdea 2 : This is a NO NO for me!! Reminds me of that horribly small bathroom in Hong Kong hotel where the shower is just above the toilet bowl and I need to shower and avoid touching the toilet bowl. Yucks!!
ReplyDeletehaha, but the water used to clean yourself can be a great idea to clean the toilet as well :)
DeleteBut even in my own home, I don't like the shower head to be near toilet bowl. You know, the dirty water from showering will make the toilet bowl dirty as well. have to clean the toilet bowl after that!
ReplyDeletebut when you have no water, you would just do anything to save :p
DeleteBest if shower in a cubicle and do not make the toilet bowl wet! :)
ReplyDeleteof course that would be best, just install a partition :)
DeleteIdea 3 : This is a good idea! Certainly very practical!
ReplyDeleteyeah, flushing toilet can be of any used water..
DeleteFor me, I minimise water usage by simply doing my peeing and big business outside hahahaha!!
ReplyDeletehahaha!! i guess that's what many people will do too :D
DeleteAnd I don't wash my car or send to carwash lah. But plants still need watering or they will die, no? How can they tell us not to water the plants? Of course, if it's a rainy day, then I don't water the plants. But if no rain for a few days, must water the plants right?
ReplyDeleteyalah, cars can be left unwashed, but the plants do have lives like us, they also need water to survive!!
DeleteI also collect rain water. Will have a few empty pails outside in the garden during the rain. The water can be used to flush the toilet.
ReplyDeleteWah Panda, talk alot lor...hehehe. Good lar
Deleteyeah!! i think what we usually won't do, we do them all during the water rationing period, haha!! :D
DeleteYaaaaaaaa!!!! Git water already starting today!!! Everybody must be happy now! Still, no reason not to take steps to save water - as you said, save water, save life!!! Everyone is responsible for doing whatever one can.
ReplyDeleteyeah.. be it water rationing or not, i guess everyone should do all we could to save water and be careful with the usage :)
DeleteConserve water.
ReplyDeleteANd don't forget that we must also not pollute water source!
Yea agree! I see many people still throw rubbish into drains/rivers! Sigh~
Deleteright? And then complain when there's flood o.O
Deleteright and agree no more!! water is so precious but getting less and less for us to use.. love it, appreciate it..
DeleteLikey your idea#3
ReplyDeletehave you started doing this??
DeleteWonder how many would be just as crazy as Bananaz 'talking' to water with " I love you water, I thank you water, I respect you water' during showers?
ReplyDeleteHaha, funny! Hmm I don't do that, but I sure appreciate water very much!!
Deletethat is something nice to know!! that means Bananaz is so appreciative and thankful to water!! thumbs up!! :)
DeleteGood morning SK and everyone...
ReplyDeletehaha... Idea 5 suits me, as most of the time, i eat out, lol...
DeleteGood morning Sharon...no new post for today. Nvm, we shall give SK a break!
DeleteSharon, eat out can be a great idea during water rationing but one concern is, we don't know what water the hawker is using, and whether the utensils are completely cleaned? Of course if that restaurant isn't affected by water rationing then it's fine la, but what if many areas are affected? That will include restaurants too~
Deleteerrr, when eating out, i guess we better not to think too much about what we cannot see or hidden from us, haha!! whether or not with water rationing, there is always issue if it's an issue caused by the people :p
DeleteIdea 5, staying in hotel? I went to KL on March. I stayed at one budget hotel near Maluri. I tell you, I also encountered water rationing that time. Luckily I always bathed after all players (ping pong players) left to stadium and before they came back. Pity those players, they didn't bath after their match and stayed smelly until the next day evening. I kept water in the pail and let April bath after her tournament.
ReplyDeleteI have one more idea to share that SK didn't share in all his 5 ideas.
DeleteWhenever we pee pee, we will ask each other in the house "want to pee or not". Usually, Aprill would pee, and May pee, then I was the last one to pee. I flushed the toilet once after 3 person pee pee. Save water la like that.
Haha great idea Yan! I also do like this sometimes, ask hubby no need to flush first, I'll flush after I pee pee ;) Or vice versa.
DeleteAs long as both don't mind to smell each other pee pee for a while, then it's ok la! xD
hmmmm, so not nice to have to experience water rationing even if staying in a hotel huh?? and that's a great idea, everyone pee one after another and then flush all at once.. save lots of water like that!!
DeleteGood afternoon SK!
ReplyDeleteAiyah I am late, guess you already tabulated the April's chart la!! :(
not yet lah, i always give a few days buffer to wait for everyone to come comment mah.. :)
DeleteAnother water rationing-related post? Hmm, I already commented all in the previous posts leh, now no new ideas to give already, so you might see redundant comments here, haha xD
ReplyDeleteIdea 1, haih I wanna use shower head also cannot la! My room is at upstair so during the rationing, water pressure is too low to pump the water to second floor, hence no water coming out from the heater also, so no choice, have to use the tank water and wash my hair, brrr!
Yes, when it's desperate, we really can do a quick shower using just few scoops of water! When things are back to normal, we'll start to wonder how did we do that that time? Haha xD
Idea 2, I actually do that sometimes, water from the heater flows near into the toilet bowl so at the same time really can sort of 'flush' the waste, no need to flush second time!
DeleteBut for those who have separated bathroom and toilet, then this won't work lo!
Idea 3, wow, I never thought of that leh! Good idea too, but a bit troublesome, cause need to do some adjustment on the washing machine pipes and must prepare a few pails to collect the water. Means have to be there when the washing machine discharge water, and change pails if the pail is small.
Anyway, worth trying also la!
Idea 4, yea, similar to idea 3, reuse the water for something else!
DeleteIdea 5, this is probably the easiest and hassle free one! Erm of course it involves petrol la, haha! And have to pack our clothes/toiletries.... If one person only then easy la but if the whole family? Sure lots to pack!
Yea, if got money then can go stay at the hotel, but honestly it feels weird to stay at a hotel at our own hometown, 有家不住去住酒店??Haha, elderly sure say like that one~~
By the way, new month so it's time for new banner photo! This time it's about Doraemon! SK's favorite!
Deletehaha, yalor, i think many of you have commented all the saving water methods in the previous post, never mind lah, repeat again this time.. i guess the typing is a lot faster right?? because 熟能生巧!! haha..
Deletehaha, actually worth trying the idea because when we are really facing the problem, we would try anything possible to save water.. and i guess now whether or not there is water rationing, we should try to practice those so that we are really saving this precious resource of the nature.. :)
Good morning! Love this month's cheerful template/masthead - great giant posters! It's like your own photographs on display in an art gallery. *Like*
ReplyDeleteyeah, and i keep the background blank, going simple, clean and minimal this month :)
