Good morning SK and everyone.
ReplyDeleteYeah! First sip first time in year 2013 on this lovely Friday.
Delete11 days after New Year, I am able to be in good mood all the time. I hope to stay positive and jovial as much as I can. Even there is some hiccups, I will use my high EQ to conquer it.
Happy Friday morning..
DeleteYannie that is the spirit.. must stay positive and happy all the time.....
Happy Friday morning everyone!
DeleteEsok cuti! Yeay!
Good morning!
DeleteTGIF~ but I need to work tomorrow, sobs!!
Ah Hua,
DeleteDon't be sad.
Now almost balik time already. :)
Good morning Happy Yannie and "auntie SK"!!!!!!!!! What a post today by our auntie SK. He was not working but got so much credit card points.!!! Orang kaya dei!
ReplyDeleteI seldom care much about my credit card points. This task is usually belong to Jin Jin. I must remind him to check at the expiry of my credit card point redemption.
Deletehappy morning annay..
DeleteI am using Maybank treats points ..
I think there is no expiry date of it..
Yannie you should check on the points.. there are a lot of good things that you could redeem
I still got oodles of MBB Treat Points. I lazy to think much, maybe redeem Baskin Robbins ice cream and eat with family or something.
DeleteI don't have any credit cards, but I'll "get" all the redemption from MM's card points, hehehe! Talking about points redemption, I must head to see what's available now :)
DeleteHow I wish that I never owned Credit Cards!!! They can kill people!
DeleteBut credit card is very useful too like in the case of paying for my girl's rental in UK every month.
DeleteI don't like credit cards points that can expire ones. sometimes forgot to check then rugi already as the points were forfeited.
Deleteagree with anay...wish.I never own credit cards but its useful too when dont wanna carry cash around at least won't headache scared kena robbed. but downside is also prone to credit card fraud.
i kena one time. lucky the bank detected early and cancelled my card and callef me. so I didnt have to pay. heard sometimes people kena a lot...have to pay or even pay half ..
Good morning, SK and meow!
DeleteHappy Saturday~~ I was busy the whole morning until now.... and I guess I'll get as busy as a bee for the rest of the month. Year 2013 is definitely a busy year for me, especially at workplace, sigh.
Eh, you kena credit card fraud? How? I used to own a credit card when I just graduated and was poor in money handling. I cancelled the card eventually and go cardless for many many years already. The pro of having no credit card, I don't overspend :)
Happy Saturday Yvonne!
DeleteI have credit cards and I like paying with them because I am auntie. I love getting discounts and points. ;p
But I keep track of all my spending. Even got a spreadsheet for it. So I know how much I can spend before I go out and use the card.
agree with Ah Hua...no cards no overspend.
DeleteMy husband just recently bought a pocket cell too. He said it is very useful when away from home and we need to recharge the battery for cell phone, Galaxy tablet and etc.
ReplyDeleteThis pocket cell can be use to charge SP's vibrator or not?
I should consider this useful gadget too!
DeleteSP's vibrator no need to charge le..
Deletejust drink so tongkat ali.. and it is ready to go.. Grr grrr grr full speed ahead..
SP forgot about the 2-eggs-daily remedy. Apply that with tongkat ali, the SP's vibrator goes on working from 10PM to 7AM, or until Fui Fui screams, "yamateh, yamateh!!" Muahahaha!
DeleteThat pocket cell is so useful, I saw the bank for MM's credit card offers this item too. But I won't tell him about the goodness of this gadget, because I want to utilize his points for my kitchen appliances :p
You are right, I went browsing for the items I like and had idle from here for 10 minutes. Within that period, I've seen what I like. Sometimes ladies can be an easy-going shoppers, not like some describe that we tend to stay in one outlet for hours and come out empty-handed, then jump into another outlet for another hour :p
Deleteoh it can also be used on soe other gadget huh that made it even cooler
DeleteErrr soli ah..but this pocket cell buy from where ah? Am keen on getting one too.
Deletedoes it takes ling to charge the phone? Can we plug in the pocket cell anf talk like usual on the phone? You know lain case of emergency.
first time I heard something like this was when I buy my camera. the man said no need get extra camera battery. ask me get something call external charger or something like that...I syspect its this pocket cell gua. only thing is they don't sell it in camera shop..ask him where he doesn't know pulak...
I'm illiterate in gadgets and stuff like that. The most canggih thing I owe now is my phone, kakakaka! My camera is the compact and easy to use, unlike the professional photographers and their huge-a** DSLR.
DeletePocket cell is an external charger? So, you need to charge this pocket charger first before you can bring it out and pluck to your phone during battery low?
Hei I also have to redeem many points now. Lost some points buta buta cos overlooked deadlines. I had too many cards and need to snip them this 2013.
ReplyDeleteLast time, I have many credit cards. Eversince there is government charge for RM50, I cancelled all my credit cards, and left only one, easy to manage like that.
DeleteI still have four. Always want to cancel but the Banks keep on waiving the tax, the fees and keep increasing my credit limit. Furthermore, those I have offer plenty of discounts at malls.
DeleteAmex - the 5% cash rebate and now 15% rebate at selected malls
CIMB - 15% discount at shops
StanChart - 0.5% rebate + discount
UOB Lady - discounts
As long as they waive the annual fee & tax, I keep lah....
I think the best is Maybank as their goodies are always attractive to redeem but they only give me Gold Card!! Kanasai.
DeleteMy jin jin owned Maybank credit card, I own Direct Access card. Guess? Direct Access is from which bank?
DeleteI have sub credit card from my husband. Yeah, I have redeemed quite a number of items. Last time, we redeemed two fax machines. I had handphones too. I am still waiting for nice handphones to redeem for my girl.
DeleteWah Lina hv so many cards ah...
DeleteI hv cimb too but darn it..their point kept expiring one...last year ngum ngum I caught it just in time. not enuf time ..just managed to change one mini oven. hentam ls. better than forfeit.
I think their gifts not that much. wanted to change dhopping vouchers but not eligible.
paling don't like is bonuslink...always expired...
But bonuslink is not a credit card, it's just a card for you to collect extra points and can exchange with something else. I don't know where I misplaced my bonuslink card :p
DeleteNo doubt credit cards ease our life (a lot), but not a good choice for me. I feel I can control my life better without the cards, they drive me crazy - Ah Hua will no longer be the Duchess of Corn, she'll turn into the Shopaholic Queen immediately and when the bill reaches every month end, you can spot a river of tear behind her house.
Anay,
DeleteMBB gave me Gold card also. Ces!
But since I want the AMEX 5X treat points and 5% weekend rebate, ambil sajalah... huhuhu
CIMB cards - Meow : you use CIMB cards a lot at KFC or not? Sure get 5% discount. Can redeem points to pay for your KFC meal also. ;p
i know bonuslink not credit card but same point concept lor...collect points then redeem haiz...but the points have expiring dates ones...i give up...Even the Real Rewards cards i also duno throw where jor
DeleteThat is the smart consumer for getting credit card points to redeem stuff..
ReplyDeleteThis type of stuff is very useful..
(eg. like a mixer, pots & etc) and you do not need to use money to buy it..
But some need a lot of points baru get to redeem those expensive pots and pans leh..if only less than 10k points some banks baru give kitkat or tumbler...
Deletebut i think i like petrol station cards better. those can exchange much better and expensive stuffs.
Suddenly I feel that SK isn't "auntie" at all!
DeleteLook at SP and his redemption choices - he's eyeing for mixer, pots and pans! That's the real and authentic auntie syndrome!
I agree with you, meow. My dad has a BP petrol station card; each year before CNY he'll exchange the packet drinks and we save some $ no need to buy the drinks from hypermarket :)
So, if anyone coming to my house during CNY, you can get free flow of kekwa or wintermelon drinks, kakakaka!
wakakaka....invitation for open house ya , ah hua :p
Deleteya or this SK not auntie enough la. Must pay tuitions fees tto us aunties here to teach him 100% auntie-ism :p
I always make sure to maximise to get my credit card points...
ReplyDeleteI am using the maybank amex and they are giving 5x the treats point when use during weekend
I use it on my petrol and weekly I could get about 300 points weekly.. that is really good and end of the year I could use it to redeem some stuff..
DeleteWah! This SP is so damn calculative and clever! Year end I will tell my him my christmas list.
DeleteUiks...maybank still give points when pump petrol meh?
DeleteI thought there was one time all bank raise up say no more giving poibt when pump pwtrol.
Didn't know AMEX gives points for petrol one.
DeleteI know those cards with link-up to petrol companies have la, like CIMB-Petronas... and StanChart also having promo now. But kena pump a lot. Our car don't need a lot of petrol one. Full tank barely RM50. Not enough to get rebate/points. :(
I thought they accumulate the amount till month end then sekali gus bagi rebate? They kasi rebate for petrol each time pump ah? Then rugi lo if pump less than that
DeleteGood morning to auntie SK and everyone here! Happy Flyday!!
ReplyDeleteLOL, I din't know SK you can be so auntie at times! Haha, but I think it's normal la, everyone wants the best of what we've paid, right?
DeleteFor me, I won't bother to redeem anything from my credit cards, I prefer exchange with cash voucher, more worth to me.
DeleteThose banks also got tactics one la! Those bigger things need so much points then only can exchange, then even very small things also need thousands of points....
DeleteThen they also set expired dates for the points, so its some sort of 'forcing' so that the customers will swipe more and redeem more... LOL!
DeleteAt one age, youngster will turn into "aunties" and "uncles". I've been in this auntie stage for the longest I remember and I kinda enjoy it, haha!
DeleteI agree with what you have said hayley...some need a lot of points baru can get big items. I also will opt for shopping voucher if hv enough points to redeem that. at least can choose own things and no need to be tied to theccatalog.
Deletewell...as fir swiping more for points..I don't think so la. after all the more i swope the more i hv to pay leh...
You use iphone5 or one of those - your battery will run out so quickly? My ancient mobile...no need lah...battery can last a long time.
ReplyDeleteHello "auntie"... hahahaa... as for me, I used my points every now and then... normally changed them to Parkson Grand voucher so that can go shop shop.. but yesterday changed my points to buy a Baskin Robbins cake for son! 11,000 to change one 58rm cake! :)
ReplyDeleteSome bank points dont get expired one... so can keep long time.. i normally use my points to change to vouchers nowadays.. can buy what i want ma.. "this auntie here" more kiasu.. haaha...
ReplyDeleteLol..Claire looks like sk not auntie enough la. we all more auntie by opting to exchange cash vouchers instead if goods . ya lo can choose what we wanna buy
DeleteNice gift! I usually use my points to exchange for cash back only. No need to think so hard! haha
ReplyDeleteGood morning! That's a handy gadget to have. I'm looking forward to the new year catalogue for new items to redeem.
ReplyDeleteThat's not auntie attitude. That's smart shopping and being on top of things. Way to go, SK!
Wanakum! tQ for the reminder shall wait to see what's in store for the coming year.
ReplyDeleteI have yet to redeem something out of my points. It's quite a lot already.
DeleteAunties only go for the auntie's stuff but not a pocket cell, so you are not that auntie after all.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, Bananaz, SK isn't auntie, he is auntie-alike ah boy.
DeleteYa li..auntie goes fir $$$ vouchers...not gadget leh....sk still need a lot to learn to be "graduate" auntie
Deletewell at first i thought it was a usb card! but then it was a portable charging device
ReplyDeletecool! ive heard something like this yet havent seen any until now
who ever did that was clever, no a genius haha
ReplyDeletehe know's what consumer might need
good thing that you choose to buy that
but now i wonder how this work,
Deletei mean where would it gather enough energy to supply or recharge a phone
do it need to be charged as well?
but i guess no matter what this can help you in your most needy time haha i mean most especially on emergencies where you just need to use your phone
Deletein my case i never experienced a
ReplyDeletedrained battery along the way cause i made it a habit to charge my phone hours before i leave the house
but i guess in a country once hailed as the texting capital of the world this might be a huge hit,
Deletei mean most of filipinos love to use their cellphones all the time
anyways im also not familiar with credit cards transaction i dont have any and i just cant afford to hahaha
ReplyDeleteso this point are gained from other transactions is it?
well if being frugal and reasonable mean being an auntie! then be it!
ReplyDeletei must admit that i myself practice that attitude haha
have a great day and happy blogging to you sk!
ReplyDeletetake care and god bless you always
chao:)
Since u don't like to use your credit cards points , why not change bank? Now they giving a lot of good deals if you "jump ship". Find the ones that points wint expire la. I know Citibank points will nit expire. uob also giving good discounts on purchases and makan stuffs but am not sure whether their points expire or not.
ReplyDeleteThanks for reminding me about the expiry date of the point because I also have many points haven't redeem!
ReplyDelete唔錯唔錯,不過我本人唔係猛按電話嘅人,一日叉兩次電就已經足夠。
ReplyDelete
