i have many times complained about the KTM Komuter services, but today i'm gonna be different, i'm gonna praise the recent act of KTM to setup a new station at Batu Caves the holy place for the Hindu devotees..

every year on Thaipusam, i feel extra pressure when i'm commuting home in LRT.. because on this day, part of the Hindu devotees choose to go to Batu Caves for prayers by LRT.. and my way home is exactly on the same direction, being stucked in the packed train coach, i only see tanner people surrounding, i only breathe the smell of jasmine and coconut oil, i only hear bombarding tamils flying around.. the same oppression every year until KTM finally pulls them off to take Komuter this year, i can say it suddenly seems so relax while commuting home on Thaipusam.. so, don't you think KTM saved my life and deserves the credit in this case?? :p

  1. Hahaha...

I remember when I used to stay in Sri Gombak and used the LRT!

Good God! Every time Thaipusam is nearing - I will have headache due to jam-packed LRT and jam-packed shuttle buses.

  14. Great news for everyone. With the MRT in place later on, our public transportation system will make commuting to places more convenient though I wonder if it will alleviate jams in the city. We shall see. Glad LRT ride for you has become more pleasant.

  15. Bananaz, I don't think every company observes every public holiday gazetted. They only need to follow the minimum as per labor law.

  31. LRT has become a big issue here in our country lately...
they are planning to have a fare hike... and most commuters are not in favor with that...
as a result,,,, non-stop rallying hehe

    ReplyDelete
  32. well good thing they came up with that idea... and gad to know that you finally had that great commuting experience that you've been always wanting of... hehe
    Cheers

  39. @ lina:
oh yeah, they took LRT to the terminal and from there take shuttle bus to Batu Caves.. my house in Wangsa Maju and i was also very badly affected.. luckily now they have KTM, so problem resolved, haha.. :)

    @ Bananazஇ:
hey, remember the devotees are already going to Batu Caves on Thaipusam eve night, of course i'm still working that day.. oh yeah, didn't Pak Lah explain that due to massive jam, then KL just have a holiday for Thaipusam?? :D

    ReplyDelete
  40. @ khengsiong:

    @ Ghosty Nana:
errr, i don't think so, because the KTM service is a lot worse than the LRT.. anyway, i don't care, they all just go take KTM will do~~ :D

    ReplyDelete
  41. @ Wois:
of course i cannot deny how bad the KTM service is, but this is just a tiny little thing that they did right, haha~~ :D

    @ Eric Lee:
haha, yeah, one smart move but then i think still not enough to compensate all their lousy services!! :D

    ReplyDelete
  42. @ iamthewitch:
oh yeah, definitely more convenient for people heading to Batu Caves - provided the train is punctual.. :p

    @ HappySurfer:
yeah, i'm actually quite looking forward to the MRT though.. hope our public transport can really improve to a level comparable to other developed countries.. hmmm, actually to answer you that question from Bananaz - the devotees are already heading to Batu Caves on Thaipusam eve, so even if Thaipusam itself is a holiday that doesn't help much, perhaps because the next day is a holiday, more people will go there indeed.. :)

    ReplyDelete
  43. @ Medie007:
haha, of course i celebrated Thaipusam lah.. but then celebrate still hate being packed in the train mah~~ :D

    @ suituapui:
haha, yalah, you are not living in KL so you wouldn't know the pain of us.. one day when you need to rely on the KTM, then you should know how painful it is~~ :D

    ReplyDelete
  44. @ Twilight:
aiyoyo Arumugam you are back!! where have you been?? Thambee misses you so much~~ :D haiyoh, how can you say Thambee is racist?? definitely not, did Thambee sound very racist in this post?? hmmm, probably Arumugam is even more racist, because since he moved to Penang he never want to go back to Tirachiruppali to see Letchumi anymore, haiz!!! Thambee very poor no car, so can only take train to work lor, Arumugam want to sponsor a car for Thambee?? because Thambee always fly back to Chennai and take care of Letchumi for Arumugam, so Arumugam must thank Thambee in return ok?? muahahahaha~~ :D

    @ mNhL:
haha, no kidding at all, that was what i experienced in reality.. hmmm, yeah, at least KTM is doing me good for that one day every year, hahaha~~ :D

    ReplyDelete
  45. @ Small Kucing:
it's already a lot better this year because they started that service last year..

    @ Bananazஇ:
yeah, Arumugam is finally back!! you didn't know he went back to his hometown Tirachiruppali to see Letchumi?? :D

    @ bluecloud:

    ReplyDelete
  47. @ edward:

    @ bluedreamer27:
well i guess it's not uncommon to have a fare hike once in a few years, but we are glad that the increase is still not too burdening the commuters.. haha, yeah, because of the new service by the train, we finally have a more comfortable experience commuting home on that festive day~~ :D

    ReplyDelete
  48. @ Casendra:

    ReplyDelete
  49. @ uLi.
yeah, but just one point not enough to compensate all the lousy services leh~~ :D

    @ Ashley:

    ReplyDelete
  50. @ Wai Kitt:
haha, yeah, i think this is a good news to many people who commute using LRT - finally fresh air!! haha~~ :D

  51. Good to heard that there's LRT going to Batu Caves.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Hahaha!! So this is your first time praising KTM? LOL!

    ReplyDelete
  53. I am glad I don't have to travel by public transportation! I still prefer my own car! Haha!

    ReplyDelete
  54. At least in a traffic jam, I am still inside air conditioned car with my favourite music on : )

    ReplyDelete
  55. So this time you must be very relieved you escape the congestion and all during Thaipusam, haha!! All thanks to KTM yeah? : D

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  57. Well, in this case then KTM had really done something good..at least this one time for you. :p

    ReplyDelete
  58. Actually...when I was in KL...I dreaded taking KTM too. :/

    ReplyDelete
  59. Ya lah betul juga..they starts to gather on the eve itself..nandri

    ReplyDelete
  60. i have ... never... travelled on KTM before.. :(

    ReplyDelete
  61. @ Mei Teng:
sorry but it's KTM and not LRT that is going to Batu Caves.. :D

    @ foongpc:
definitely the very first time because they have 1000 more lousy services than the 1 good one, haha.. yeah, but still those who drive have their own problem and frustration as well.. blame it on our bolehland's transportation and traffic system, hahaha!!

    ReplyDelete
  62. @ Chris Chia:

    Tekkaus:
haiyoh, if you have experienced how bad the KTM service, i bet you'd never choose to take the KTM if you have other alternatives lor.. right??

    ReplyDelete
  63. @ Bananazஇ:
hehe, now only you know.. perhaps Thaipusam day as a holiday makes more people travelling to Batu Caves on the eve itself..

    @ Merryn:
hmmm, you've never?? then perhaps you might want to find a nice day to try the KTM experience.. hahaha!! :D

    ReplyDelete
  64. thank for information!

Improvement of infrastructural very important especially in selangor cause traffic jam is the main problems in this state.

    ReplyDelete
  65. LOL on the way you described being stranded inside the train, hahhaha!! but second thought, that's really quite scary right?? :D

    ReplyDelete
  66. but glad that there's a direct transport to Batu Caves now.. anyway, i've not been to Batu Caves before, might think it's good to see Thaipusam there one day huh?? :)

    ReplyDelete
  67. @ CH Voon:
haha, but will you take KTM to Batu Caves?? better drive there directly lah, you know how good the KTM service is right?? :D but then i don't think this will actually improve the congested traffic even a little..

    @ victor:
haha, yes it can be very scary stranded inside the train under such a situation.. hmmm, so you are planning to go to Batu Caves for the Thaipusam?? hmmm, it's good to experience that provided that you're not afraid of the crowd.. :)
