Yah lo, it's treasure to celebrate it, mine is 1600++ I forgot to celebrate my 1000th posts, I remember last year I want to celebrate my blog 6years anniversary but in the end I procrastinate until I forgot so just don't care anymore la!!

Yeah daily post very tiring. I used to do daily post too. Now lazy lo. Weekend rest. Kira as give readers a rest too la. Like TM's adviced, not goo infront of PC everyday. Got bad rays.
haha.. actually i have done daily post before lah but then it's really quite tiring and lots of effort required.. furthermore, readers may not be able to follow that fast pace.. so now i only publish a post once after a couple of days, i find this a nice pace actually..

Daily post is very tired indeed, if really got a lot of posts to write then is okay (person like me should have daily post because I've too many outdated posts, until I also don't want to write about it, but on the other hand I don't like my things undone so got to continue anyway)
DeleteWhy is it tiring because I assume the content has to be make sure all the content are interesting, because if you claim yourself have to post daily hen maybe got a day you suddenly run out of post or topic to write, then have to "ka ngang" (force) yourself to write something, then you'll be very stress...if simply cin chai post something maybe some of the readers also don't know how to comment, then no comment very paiseh...that's about commenting...then if found out the comments very little the also very stress...aiyo!! Serious why have to stress so much!...(wait, am I off topic here? >.<)
yeah, i have done that in 2008 and 2012, actually it's very tiring both physically and mentally.. and you are right, have to also think for the readers lah, if write something really dry and dull and boring then pity them also to waste time reading, and then they do not know what they have read and no idea how to response.. hahahaha!!

DeleteI think Wordpress is good and secured but blogspot can do more. We can't anyhow insert certain scripts in wordpress.com unless its a hosted version.
DeleteBut in wordpress we can blog a single private post which requires password, in blogspot I don't know how, it's either we make the whole blog private or make the whole blog public =_=
Deleteyeah, i think Wordpress is more flexible and somehow more advanced than Blogger.. anyway, Blogger does allow only the bold, italics and hyperlink in the comments but not anything else..

I like wordpress for their good spam control. Blogger though reported, no action can be done. Not so friendly. But Blogger is good for computer dummy like me la. Just one click and not much choice.

DeleteLet's see, you have 2,000 posts over a period of 10 years which means an average of 200 posts per year. That averages approximately 16 posts per month, about 4 posts per week. You sure have lots of ideas and materials to write!

DeleteI looked at your Archive and I see that your highest post count is in 2008 and 2012 with exactly 366 posts in each of those years. Hey, that means one post per day! And those two years are leap years with 366 days in a year!

DeleteI noted that you blogged in Mandarin since 2006 and then your first post with English was on 26-04-2008. Then from June 2008 you blogged in dwi-bahasa. Which is great because there are Chinese like me who are buta huruf when it comes to mandarin. I am worse that buta huruf. Cannot speak Mandarin, just know a few words only :(

DeleteWhen I first stepped into your blog back in 2012 (came in from Small Kucing), somehow I was not persuaded to stay and explore more. I think it was because of the Mandarin text (though you already had English then) that made me pusing balik. But slowly, slowly, look what happened? I am now a regular visitor.

DeletePreviously, I was only interested in cooking blogs but now I also appreciate the non-cooking blogs like this one. Your posts are thought provoking and entertaining too. Sometimes something as simple as replacing toilet roll can also become a topic for discussion hah..hah....
ReplyDeletei wasn't that keen on baking blogs but after i read your posts, and especially that one, you know, that nutella stuffed chocolate chips cookies with sea salt post, i actually find baking posts not bad at all.. of course i skip the recipe all the time since i am not baking, but how you tell the story is indeed interesting..

Deleteooopss, sorry for all the other additional requests on color and size of the fonts.. because Blogger only allows bold, italics formatting in the comments.. this is a security feature, they must limit the HTML tag, else anyone will be able to insert some malicious scripts that will harm your page or even PC.. :p
ahem...though you have 300 plus posts only but see the lenght of your post and compared to SK's ones...cannot compare leh...yours always very long with many pictures while SK ones are one or two paragragh. But both post also kasi my kepala pusing coz both also thought provoking sort of post. Really salute the both of you for coming up with so many thoughtful topics

ReplyDeleteSo the 2000th post? Wow that's a lot leh! I also din't go check the number of my posts, I even forget how many years since I last started blogging, haha!
Not so important la, what's more important is I know I get more matured in blogging, compared to the very first day.... But too bad I become less active these days, haih biasa la kan, with additional family members coming, hur hur~
Oh, HTML tags, I know I know, learn that during my programming lesson in University, hehe, but this tips will be a good one for those who don't know.... ;)

yes, they only allow very limited HTML tags leh.. but i understand this is security features lah.. if they allow more, probably those people can easily type some scripts into the comments and do malicious things on your page and PC..
