i realised i have never been reading so much like i did recently, really wonder as you get older, your lifestyle will also have a little change??

i remember i never like reading that much (even to say reading as a hobby was rather to please the teachers), other than academic textbooks, the only reason i read was because of the reading report.. however recently i found out i've been quite fond of reading, one book read after another, and new books bought after another.. few days ago, i even bought four books one shot (my very personal record), the series of 19th century classic literature for only RM9.90 per book, quite worth for money i thought~~

  34. Never like to read in my younger days not even badnewspapers but love comic books. However slowly and safefully (safe+careful) pick up reading in later years but mostly on mystical & detective books and while working in corporate world more towards motivational & self development books. Books with pictures, charts or cartoon would get me hooked on for hours haha..

    @ Tekkaus:
errr, opposite?? i think same right, as i also read more than i did last time.. yeah, those are really classics and only at RM9.90, quality print too~~

    ReplyDelete
  59. @ suituapui:
yes, really very worth the money.. RM9.90 each for the classic treasure, and the printing is good quality too.. that's why i didn't think much and grab 4 books at a time.. haha!!

    @ khengsiong:
Gulliver's Travel我都好似有睇過, 應該係叫"小人國奇遇"之類係嘛?? 1984 - BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING YOU??

    ReplyDelete
  60. @ Caroline Ng May Ling:
haha, if you really want to read the books i'm sure you'll find time for that, so the reason why you didn't read is because of one thing only -- LAZY!!! hahaha.. well, i guess if you have time, you also want to go tweeting with your boyfie lah right?? kekeke.. yeah, really RM9.90 each only, and the books are really in good printing quality..

    @ Mei Teng:
haha, then we are really different.. i guess have been studying too much academically till i don't even like to read books last time.. but really have no idea what actually triggers me to read more books now.. :)

    ReplyDelete
  61. @ uLi.
haha, quite ok lah, cos i will only read a little bit everyday while i commute to work.. i'm not those bookworm will finish reading a book in couple of days lor.. it normally take me couple of weeks to finish one book..

    @ Bananazஇ:
haha, is that true?? well, i definitely not a leader, and it actually also depend on what kind of books you are reading right?? haha, i think many would love to read comic books right, since it's easier to read and more entertaining.. i don't really like to read motivational books, i kind of like facts and history kind of books.. thriller, sci-fiction, novel, romance certainly not my cup of tea.. oooh, "Outliers" by Malcom Gladwell?? i read his "What the Dog Saw", errr, not really interested me but not a bad read also.. that 4 books?? errr, i think will be enough for me to survive till 2011, haha!! :D

    ReplyDelete
  62. @ Merryn:
haha, i also spend more time in reading blogs than reading a book.. i only read a few pages everyday while commuting to work only.. :p

    @ Small Kucing:
oh, exactly the same book from the same publisher?? then of course BBWS will be cheaper lor, but then RM9.90 is acceptable lah, for the good quality i really think this price is real worth for money leh.. yeah, i just finished reading "The Secret Garden" and i like it very much.. now starting to read Charles Dickens book, but find it rather quite boring, too literature for me already..

    ReplyDelete
  63. @ iamthewitch:
hehehe, then i guess you would have to influence saucer to like reading also.. but i think sure you'll have personal time everyday to do what you like right?? perhaps all the personal time you have, you'd spend them on blogging already, haha~~ :D

  68. @ Bengbeng:
oooh, i guess you are a book lover and love to read a lot?? i think you should have got the books since RM9.90 each with very good quality print, it's very worth for Benghui's collection..

  71. I am also picking up reading lately.

I finished 2 Classics George Orwell novel, Animal Farm and 1984. Animal Farm is a reflection of events of Russian Communism leading up to Stalin in Power. Read the book 1st, then check out Wikipedia for some explanation.

1984 is George Orwell's vision in the future, written in 1948. If he is still alive, he will see that alot of his prophecies came true. The "simplifying" ,"editting", changing" the facts of history is happening now in modern education. If we do not start to educate the next generation about "real" history, and constitutional rights of the people, we will be enslaved by the few "Elites/Ruling Group" who have the knowledge.

I highly recommend the book: Nothing to Envy http://bryanshiro.blogspot.com/2010/11/nothing-to-envy-real-lives-in-north.html

Now reading books by Jim Marrs.

  72. @ CH Voon:
yeah RM9.90 really worth to buy.. errr, normally takes like a month to read a book lor, i take the opportunity to read while commuting to work mah.. aiyah, you are in Russia now, didn't bring any books over to read meh since over there so boring..

    @ bryan_shiro:
i thought you have been reading books always?? hmmm, instead of knowing you picking up reading, it's more surprise that you are coming back to the blogsphere, haha!! actually i started to read more after borrowing the book "Eleven Minutes" from you, since then i started to read more often.. hehe~~ :p
