23.07.2013 | 小心串字

[Volume 8 Issue 7, #1759]
saw a very fashionable lady yesterday and while admiring her fashionista way of dressing up, i suddenly realized on her very classy feel t-shirt it was printed with these two words: FORTURN COOKIES.. oh that was just so potong stim, very obvious that was a misspelt FORTUNE COOKIES right?? hence it inspired me to strongly advise everyone to be ultra careful with what was printed on your clothes.. it could be a very nice one attracting lots of attention, but once there is a misspelt word on it, your entire image will become utterly cheap, and i guess that's even more attention seeking!! and what's with the tattoo pictures above?? i was actually googling for some real examples of tees with misspelt words but the search result returned me more pictures of that in tattoos.. i thought to myself, the case of clothes may not be the worst, but in the case of tattoos, the one who got it thought it must be something so cool until in the end found out there is such an "interesting" spelling mistake!! OMG, and it's gonna stay on their skins for the entire life, laughed at by many and surely from a mighty tiger turn into a timid little mice??
[lesson learnt] get it right or leave it!! always lookup your dictionary if you are unsure about the spelling~~ :p

A former colleague was proudly walking around with her new t-shirt sporting "I Am A Tramp" until someone told her the connotation. She never wore it again.

    1. Getting a misspelling on a tattoo is a different story altogether, isn't it? I've read of mat salleh actors getting Chinese character tattoos which didn't quite turn out what it's supposed to be. Gosh!

I've always wondered how Johnny Depp got rid of his tattoo for Wynona Ryder. I haven't got around to googling it.

You have got friends who had gotten married right? Did they show you their wedding albums? Those Bridal photos ones?

I saw some and was frankly horrified by it. You know some album where they put several photos in a page and then got some wordings? I frequently saw misspelled words in them. And what is more horrifying is some no brain bridal company put songs wording in the album....can you guess what sort of song? You can right????so tasteless...come on lah...people getting married and then they putting song lyrics in the ablum...songs about :Fun sau"(separating) ...

I also get pissed off when during wedding dinner some people will go and karaoke those unauspicious song...what the heckkk...people getting marry here and there they singing Jacky cheung Fung sau jor yiu pin??? I know la...everyone suppose to be happy mah...but then must see occassion also ler

    1. So far I have not seen spelling errors on someone's body tattoo yet as I never paid attention to them. Usually the young people are popularly having motifs or fancy tribal patterns being tattooed all over their bodies instead. I can imagine the pain they had to endure. No thanks!

      Delete
    2. I do think that many muscular guys in the gym nowadays who sport their tribal pattern tattoos on their arms or neck look cool and macho. There is some aura of manliness in them. Then I saw some less common tattoos like one guy in the gym who had the whole DiZang Wang Bodhisattva being tattooed in his whole back body with mantras all over. I was shocked and speechless but I refrained from giving my opinion on his choice. I just felt it was a bit disrespectful to sleep on the bed every night with his back facing down.

      Delete
    3. Huh that's interesting an eye opener to see DiZangWang all over the body with mantras. Maybe should find out more from him WhyAskWhy coz he has his reason.
