in my second week of the new job, i went to hanoi for a business trip.. as mentioned in the previous post, this was my first time to vietnam.. but because this is a working trip, i really did not have a chance to go around the place.. the photos below were taken hastily around the hotel on the morning before i left, at least i've seen a little of the city?? haha..
Next » |
呢個trip有幾個第一次: 第一次去越南, 新工作第一次出國, 新護照第一次蓋印.. there are a few first-times for this trip: first time to vietnam, first business trip for the new company, first two stamps on the new passport.. |
great..everything has its first time :)
ReplyDeleteNice! At least you can add one more country to the list that you have visited.
ReplyDeleteSo alot of flying will be required for your current job?
Even without going out sightseeing, at least got two overseas stamp in your passport! XD
ReplyDeleteand can brag about you going there! Who cares whether you went out or not around the city. LOL
ReplyDeleteMaybenext time, more time in Hanoi, right? :)
ReplyDeleteThe Hanoi's office sure has an old hospital vibe to it. ;)
ReplyDeleteFirst time to Vietnam and your new job with a first trip overseas and your passport lost its virginity in Hanoi..
ReplyDeleteOur milion-'dong'-aire and how was the feeling like to be millionaire for merely three days splashing around with huge stack of dong after dong?
ReplyDeleteOh land of bicycles and motorbikes and I heard there is hardly accidents even though the streets are inundated with the two wheelers as they weave like snakes all over the streets.
ReplyDeleteso when the pictures will be up?
ReplyDeleteYou can always return another time for sightseeing.
ReplyDeletewow!!vietnam, i saw my friends went, there very nice!!! enjoy~
ReplyDeleteHey SK Thamby, I have never been to Vietnam, so I have little idea. At least you got to smell the city and see the traffic jams by motorcycles.
ReplyDeleteI am pretty sure Thamby went to more countries compared to Arumugam! You covered most part of Europe as well as India laaaa. Now got Hanoi some more!
ReplyDeleteYou had no time to go shopping and sight seeing, so you didn't buy any scarves for Kamala? How dare you! She will cry and jump into the fire!
ReplyDeleteSo it was your business trip and you invested all your millions to buy what???? Now slum dog pula. Haiks!
ReplyDeleteNow come back KL to eat Tosai again like a slum dog. Never mind, save and money will grow again. Arumugam cannot borrow any $$ from you now. Sob! Sob!
ReplyDeleteOk...looks like it's ok now. No more malware warning... Bet you had a great time in Vietnam, eh?
ReplyDeletewow, can go oversea for business trip~ so good geh?
ReplyDeletefirst vietnamese girl.. oops! :P
ReplyDeleteMerryn so naughty with her comment! LOL
ReplyDeleteDid you? *wink wink*

ReplyDeleteLong time din blogging le..how are u? change new job le?
ReplyDeleteNot bad o..can go travel...
where u working now?
ReplyDeleteHanoi Daewoo Hotel...
ReplyDeleteOoooo....you travel during my b'day ya :)
ReplyDeleteHappy trip SK....
ReplyDeleteand don't forget to take some photos okay...
Have a great day and Happy blogging
ReplyDeleteLove the aged effect of the pictures...!
ReplyDeletewaaaah... very nice place! lookng for my trip there nxt year. yeeeeeheeee. now all i gotta do is to pass the finals! grrr...
ReplyDeleteits been more than 2 years i didnt go Hanoi.. :) hope you enjoy your first business trip there..
ReplyDeleteGot a malware sitting inside my blog what can I do to get rid of it? Help anyone please tQ.
ReplyDeleteI saw a picture of a whole family siting on a scooter before, wonder how they manage to squeeze~
cool! I never go to vietnam before. But, i know people at vietnam are very good in business.
Thamby deh!!! Why you never come home to motherland? So long you dumped us and now enjoy in Hanoi!!!!
ReplyDeleteI want new saree! Don't buy Vietnamese dress! I hate that. I will pull your ears!
ReplyDeleteThambeee please send me rupees and not dongs!!! I am hungry, always eat cow dung! You so heartless!
ReplyDeleteWhen are you coming home to see Kamala? I miss you Thambee. I miss dancing around the trees with you. SO cute!
ReplyDeleteenjoy yourself... :)
ReplyDeleteYour photographs have a kind of nostalgic feel, quite nice...
ReplyDeleteThe thing that struck me about the stamps on your passport is how neat and nicely the stamps are placed side-by-side. That helps to save space on the passport. Kudos to the officer. That sure was a short trip. More to come undoubtedly? So, did you get to try their famous beef noodles? No Halong Bay visit, eh?
ReplyDeleteoh, nice!! so this must be a very special trip to you since there are so many first times..
ReplyDeletei like this set of photo, you purposely touched up with the nostalgic effect?? that's very cool.. :)
ReplyDeletehaha, your Hanoi office looks very cute indeed, feels like classrooms in a school.. hehehe~~ :D
ReplyDeletethe motocyclists, beef noodles, million-dong-aire, wow.. all so vietnamese huh?? but too bad you didn't manage to have a chance to really see Hanoi eih??
ReplyDelete@ wenn:
ReplyDeletehaha, yeah but never expected so many first time at one time.. :)
@ Shingo T:
yeah, very true, at least i've collected another stamp on my passport.. errr, i think not a lot but maybe just moderate flying required.. :)
@ lina:
ReplyDeletehahaha, very true!!! at least i can tell i've been there, and one of the happiest thing to me is to collect more immgration stamps in the passport.. hmmm, i have no idea if i'll be going to Hanoi again.. oh yeah, after you've mentioned about hospital, i have the same feel about that too now~~ hahahaha!! :D
@ Bananazஇ:
ReplyDeletehahaha, many first time for this trip to Hanoi, so this must be quite unforgettable yeah?? hmmm actually millionaire status already lost after the second day, because you spend thousands and millions of dongs easily over there, eg: you pay 100K for a meal is just so common over there.. oh i guess all drivers as well as pedestrians are all really skillful on the road, haha!! i never see accident happen there..
@ Small Kucing:
photo?? already up in this post what~~ click Previous and Next lor..
@ Mei Teng:
ReplyDeletehmmm i guess will definitely do that.. haven't been to Halong Bay and i heard that's a very nice place to go..
oh yeah, i guess so.. but i didn't have chance to go around the place during my trip there, maybe the next time~~ :)
@ Twilight:
ReplyDeleteno lah, Thambee will never have been to more places than Arumugam.. Arumugam always go here go there for business and also leisure, how can Thambee compare?? really no time for shopping and sightseeing at all, but i guess Kamala will sure understand this is work and not play.. unlike how Arumugam treated Letchumi, went travelling alone happily and left Letchumi ploughing the farm alone back in motherland~~ haha, all my thousands of dong were invested in food lor, easily pay 100K for a meal leh, hahahaha~~ so come back really gotta eat tosai and back to become the slumdog lor, Arumugam got money to lend me?? :D
@ suituapui:
haha, yeah, i guess my blog is best viewed with IE8?? haha.. errr, just a normal business trip, because i didn't have a chance to walk around..
@ L²:
ReplyDeleteerrr, going overseas for business trip is quite common woh, you never have the chance meh?? :D
@ Merryn:
oh, definitely saw the first vietnamese girl in my life lah of course, since that's my first time to vietname~~ :D
@ lina:
ReplyDeletehahaha, yalor.. so naughty of Merryn.. well, i DID of course, saw the first vietnamese girl in my first vietnam visit of course~~ :D
@ Casendra:
hahaha, yeah!! lost a lot of virginity there, so many first time for this trip, so memorable~~ :D
@ Sam Wong:
ReplyDeleteyeah, changed job already.. i am now working in Gardens.. hmmm, still don't know how good this job is yet, as this is only the 3rd week..
@ khengsiong:
@ uLi.
ReplyDeleteoh really?? aiyah, then i didn't manage to wish you happy birthday tim.. so let's do it here lah, happy *belated* birthday~~ :)
@ bluedreamer27:
errr, this post is actually written after i came back.. you have a great day and happy blogging too~~ :)
@ eleven:
@ iamthewitch:
yeah, i added the effect by accident and found that it looks cool.. :)
@ Medie007:
ReplyDeleteerrr actually that's only a very small part of Hanoi since i only have time to walk around the hotel area.. they have a very famous Halong Bay, UNESCO heritage, must go if you are planning to..
@ reanaclaire:
oh, you always fly to Hanoi?? quite a nice trip for a business trip actually.. :)
@ edward:
@ Bananazஇ:
errr, got malware sitting inside your blog?? but i have no problem going to your blog leh~~
@ Kelvin:
ReplyDeleteyeah, i think it's not a surprise to see a whole family riding on the same motorcycle.. but i believe they sure know the skills well.. :)
@ CH Voon:
ReplyDeleteoh really?? i actually know very little about vietnam too, and this was also my first time being there..
@ Kamala:
ReplyDeleteoh my dear Kamala, are you speaking on behalf of Letchumi?? i know i know, sure it's because of Letchumi misses Arumugam too much till she got crazy and ask you to talk to me.. anyway, i have no idea why Arumugam never miss home, i feel bad for him too.. anyway, just try to comfort Letchumi and Thambee will make sure Arumugam remembers Letchumi and send her rupees and food.. :D
@ reanaclaire:
errr, already back in KL though, hahaha~~ :D
@ Grass:
ReplyDeleteyeah, i purposely touch up with that retro effect, kind of nice and match Hanoi i guess?? :)
@ bluecloud:
@ HappySurfer:
oh yeah, and i was very surprised they used to stamp on the very last page, and so neatly!! errr, still no idea if i'd be travelling there, but definitely would like to go back there again.. beef noodles is nice and i like it but haven't got a chance to actually go around the place, not to mention Halong Bay~~ :(
@ -KeO-:
@ victor:
oh yeah, certainly a very special trip for me for there are so many first times.. you are right, i found after the nostalgic effect, the photos actually looks nicer and kind of given me the same feel of Hanoi.. hope i'll have a chance to be there again, and really have time to walk around Hanoi.. :)
hey you are so lucky always being sent overseas by your offices!
Is the vietnamese rice noodles nice?
ReplyDeleteNice photos : )
ReplyDeleteSaw the crowded city with motorbikes everywhere? haha... and the beef noodles really yummy ya.
ReplyDelete@ Jifdc/Ayie:
ReplyDeleteerrr, not always but only once in a while.. i don't want to travel too often too, moderately is good enough.. :)
@ Ashley:
@ foongpc:
ReplyDeleteyeah, very nice, you must try if you are in vietnam..
mNhL:
oh yes, i guess at least 50% of the traffic is invaded by motorcyclists, because i heard that many can only afford a motorcycle.. beef noodles is one of vietnam's famous food, sure yummy and must try~~ :)
