i think i can be considered as a last minute kind of person, i won't get too anxious about things until the very last minute.. most of the time i'd procrastinate, and only get as worry as ants on the hot pan when time ticks.. hmmm, this is something not good, i think i should improve on this :p

it's year end (oh!! that quick!!), and there are two things i need to accomplish urgently.. maybe this could be a reminder to everyone too..
  1. i've been cultivating a reading habit recently, and since buying books can enjoy tax relief, i should try to buy as many books as i can afford, so that i can get as much tax relief possible next year.. well, don't blame me for being so "kiasu", i'm sure you'd already know why we have to do so??
  2. the government imposed a compulsory RM50 charge for every credit card starting next year, under such circumstances i just have to cancel off three of my cards.. am now busy with rewards redemption, and then coordinating on the auto-debit payment before i can finally cancel the cards.. have got two cards done, and now still working on the remaining one..

still figuring out which card ah, i think by this time you need to decide already.. clearing the bills, redeem points, coordinating the auto payment all take time you know?? so, three more weeks to go, how much are you gonna spend on books and sports equipment??

    ReplyDelete
  22. Great reminder, SK. I have a feeling banks will absorb the tax, at least the principle ones. But you're right, best to start clearing bills, redeem points and adjust the auto-debits. Time is ticking..

    ReplyDelete

  41. Reading is good... other than tax relief... it does keep our mind active at all times.

Credit Card RM50? Now they have waived that no? Only chargeable to people who own more than one card.

    ReplyDelete
  42. HappySurfer:
hmmm but the problem is the Bank has still not made any concrete announcement yet, and to my dismay one of the Bank has charged me the annual fees which i feel so pissed off!! to be on the safe side, just cancel.. we can apply again in the future if we need to, right?? :)

    foongpc:
hey, it's great that you are improving yourself, it's not really good to do things in the very last minute, as most of the time you'll get messed up easily.. err, i didn't get any Chinese books all are English as i find reading in English is easier, hahaha!! yes, i think december is a good time to get more books, since there are sales happening everywhere right?? i'm gonna get maybe a few more, though i don't think i can get the tax relief to the max, hehehe!! so good, you have only got one credit card, good practice so you don't have to worry which one to keep which one to cut.. cool~~

    ladyviral:
yeah, i didn't start to buy books until like mid last year!! kind of regret, but now i think i'll try to buy myself more books, hehehe :p are you sure the banks are waiving the RM50?? i don't think so.. this is a must to pay to Bank Negara, Banks will have to absorb this and pay for their customers if they say they are going to "waive" it.. it's not a small amount actually, unlikely i say..
