| 雖然我天生係白底人, 不過我就冇咁幸運有可以令人羨慕嘅肌膚.. 加上青春期嘅時候疏于照顧, 所以皮膚一路以來都唔係咁好, 依家更加當然係「年老色衰」啦唔駛講.. 如無記錯, 大概三十歲嘅時候先開始認認真真注意面部護理, 我覺得係有啲遲, 不過總好過冇啦.. 其實就冇俾過錢去做啲咩面部護理療程嘅, 咁多年嚟都係去買護膚產品, 自己喺屋企用咁囉.. 心得就唔夠膽講話有喇, 不過基本嘅護理知識都略知一二嘅.. 至少我覺得以上一字排開(部份)嘅護膚產品, 雖然比不上靠個樣搵食嘅朋友, 不過應該足夠嚇親好多男士(甚至女士)啩?? 哈哈!! 順便一提, 因為唔係賣廣告, 所以上面張相就特意除去牌子, 如果你八卦想知, 可以私底下問我喎, 呵呵.. 其實塊面光彩啲, 人都覺得醒神啲㗎, 所以照顧皮膚已經唔係女人嘅特權喇~~ :p |
| although i was born with fair skin, i wasn't gifted with good skin and complexion that people would envy.. moreover i didn't really care about my skin during pubescence years, hence my skin has never been good, not to mention now that i am slowly going over the hill.. if i'm not mistaken, i only started to seriously look into facial care, i think it was late but at least better than none.. anyway i have not paid for any facial treatment sessions, all these years i just buy the products off-shelves for use at home.. can't say i am experienced but i think i have some basic knowledge.. at least lining up (some of) my skincare stuffs in the photo above, though incomparable to those who earn a living with their faces, i guess enough to impressed many other guys (or even ladies) right?? haha!! just to clarify that since i am not advertising for the products, i have removed the brand in the photo above, if you would like to gossip about what brand i am using, you are welcome to private message me, hehe.. actually i think having clean and refreshed skin makes one looks smarter too, hence skincare is really not the prerogatives of ladies anymore~~ :p |

Skin care is important esp in our polluted environment and more so if one's job entails walking the streets and being exposed to the dirt and grime of auto-traffic. A routine facial treatment would enhance the complexion. :D
Deleteyeah, better late than never.. and especially when were are aging and exposed to all kinds of pollutants, it's actually a good idea to let ourselves look better with healthier skin.. :)

DeleteVanakam. Had the same thought like you initially that its not a necessity for men. Imagine used ordinary soap to wash face when Bananaz skin is the 'dry' type. Moreover shy to walk alone into ladies facial saloon then. Things changed when the owner of the facial saloon is a close friend of wifey and that's history.

oh yeah, last time don't care lah, as long as got something to wash the face then can already, never thought of proper products lah.. but now old already, consider myself to be able to afford some facial care products, so must do it properly lah.. else i will look like 50 years old in a couple of years time~~

Oh not that 'comprehensive' with so much of tubes like you. Merely facial cleanser and moisturizer works fine with me.

Deleteactually the basic ones would be cleanser, toner and moisturizer.. that is daily routine, those extras i do it like 2-3 times a week only.. and i always borong a bit during warehouse sales, so have to finish them fast before they expire, haha!!
DeleteSTP, it's never too late if you wanted to.. start using and in a month's time, you sure look 5 years younger!! of course have to cut down greasy food also lah~~ :D

Sleeping early not only good for our complexion but for whole body.. last month gone to dentist and he saw my gums and sad You've been sleeping late ka? Dont sleep too late coz not enough sleep will lead to gums problems. I was amazed coz I dint tell him that leh. Was packing mah so over tired so slept late / cant sleep lo. The gums started to swell and tooth ache...adoi....skin product sampai cerita nenek kebayan toothache pulak
haha, i also have mask but didn't show here lah.. 7 bottles actually quite the same function as Anay's 5 bottles lah.. and yes, i think it's quite necessary to keep our face clean, healthy and young!! that's why Anay looks so much younger than his actual age..

I think I have started taking care of my face since secondary school as I had too many stubborn acne! I ate too much spicy food and always have greasy face. I walked so much in the city after school and my whole face was often covered with thick soot and grime. I had no choice but to wash my face so often. Those young days, men's skincare products were unheard of....

at least yours is branded la...mine was bedak sejuk...home made some more leh....
DeleteHave to go and soak rice till it was fermented then throw away the water and put in some pandan leaves to dry. every night break a piece and put some water put on the face. Eh...very syok wor....cooling...but then doesnt really help with acne.
Later i saw TV advertise about oxy...adoi...i used and it was not suitable fr my skin..more pimples come out...sobs.... end up use plain water wash then okay lia;
yes, i started using facial cleanser during secondary school when acne starting growing on my face.. but that time really just simple some facial cleanser grabbed from supermarket shelves lah, suitable or not also didn't know.. not only until lately that i found this brand that i quite good and kind of suitable for me.. so have been using it for few years already..

These days I have gone one step further by buying the pure essential oils directly from USA. When you look at all the contents in your bottles, they only contain like 0.05% or 1% of certain essential oils and fill up with cream or spring water..!!!! We pay so high prices for the water and cream! So anay decided to hunt for the pure essential oils to use them directly and they work like miracles. Of course there is a price to pay for the essential oils.

Deletegood that you have not much issue with your skin, that's why just water will do.. but i had lots of acne and skin problem when i was in high school, so that time already using facial cleanser, but of course those are just simply grabbed from supermarket shelves lah.. only lately i am more brand conscious and have been using this brand for years.. and it's great to find a product that really suits you right?? so your RM300+ given was worth it?? haha~~ :D

DeleteTo tell the truth, I'm the lazy type one, even now. I can be very hardworking in applying and follow those steps closely - srub, cleasing, serum, toner, moisturizer and the last one UV protector just for 1-2 weeks only...hehehe... Then go back to basic.

DeleteWei make sure you read the label on the products you are buying ah...after reading the Go Green book now i very takut jor. I see everywhere so many off shelves products have EDTA (ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid) and paraben .

And we don't necessarily need to spend hundreds/thousands of ringgit investing in those skin care products/facials, just make sure we do the basic (cleansing, toning and moisturizing), and DIY facial masks.

I has problematic skin until I meet my current product. I do have some minor problem on and off, now and then.
Anyway, I believe, other than skin care, drink more water, enough sleep and exercise are also very essential to healthy skin, no?
