Hahahahaha!!! Luckily my office toilet the toilet is the big roll one, the one need certain key to open then put the toilet paper in, so usually it's always unlimited, she will refill before it finished!!
ReplyDeleteMy house one, my mom is the one who always replace it or anyone who has finish it then replace the new one, but usually whoever replace it will clean up the empty one, put inside the recycle bag!!
My mom sometimes even 细心, before it finish, she will put on the new one and roll the rest of the previous one on the new roll, so sweet of her!! =]
DeleteI love those big toilet rolls like that which has toilet paper till infinity~!! We can pang sai 5 times a day without worries. When I was in primary school, my school does not provide toilet papers as we have like over 2000 students! So we often had to tear the pages from our exercise books!!!! Muahahahaha
DeleteSerious??? Got to tear from the exercise book! Can't remember how's my school last time, but what I can remember is we ourselves have to bring the tissue to school for ourselves, if not ya then got to borrow from others......or use water??? Aweeeee.....
Deletei usually "do business" in the gym or in the office.. in the gym they have those big big rolls locked inside a holder, that one unlimited supply and the cleaner always make sure it's loaded.. in office different lah, we don't have cleaner (cos just a few of us) so whoever sees this have to take initiative to change lor..
DeleteOhh!! My office cleaner is the whole block cleaner geh, no belongs to any company I guess, maybe belongs to the building property self hire one! The cleaner always came at 9am to do cleaning and do the refilling!! So same as Princess Ribbon la, last time she comments she has to walk very far to the toilet, which is same to me, have to walk outside the office then walk quite awhile to the toilet!

DeleteOne fine sunny day, I should fetch SK to have Teh tarek at their office vicinity to understand how both their office buildings are like. I used to kacau my friend who works at Canon company there. Maybe the 2 sistas already know that leng zai friend. I think the layout of their building is a bit odd from outside up to parking areas beneath.
DeleteI totally sokong your office method la. Big rolls like this senang.Can use without rasa was-was. Big roll replace and with key some more so no excuses to plonk on the water tank there/ But then how ah of cleaner is off or the cleaning company tarak send people. Then that cubicle not toilet paper lo. Looks like still need to bring own tissue as a back up gua.
DeleteI've a off topic joke here, my mom she buy the toilet paper roll has some pattern pattern on it, like stamp chop on like that la!! Then hor, my second niece always ask my mom and her mom said why my third nephew is so naughty ya?? Always use the stamp chop to chop on the toilet paper ya?? Then after I wipe so all my butt will be cover my the stamp chop ink lo!! Funny right???

DeleteChop chop the toilet paper, I faham lah. The recent news of the HKG Ceo face being printed on every sheet of the toilet paper is terrible. Honestly they thought it was meant to be a sick joke and insult on him but unknowingly they would affect his fate seriously. Those old tales of using shoes to slap onto someone's photo could transmit curse to the victim if many strong minded people are doing the shoe slapping together. Don't play play....

Deletethose have bumps punya also stronger leh not easily hancur. Those smooth ones even if we see from naked eyes...sometimes have those loose "bulu" (fiber?) thingy sticking out. Will be sticking to the bum leh. That would be very uncomfortable la.
I dislike it too should my kids just leave the toilet rolls in the toilet as above. I am the one to replace the toilet rolls each time they are used up.

DeleteEh, this scene is not uncommon la.. I always always see this in my own office toilet la.. Ok come to think of it.. The toilet roll habis jor, so someone nice come into the toilet, see the toilet paper habis jor, go back to her cubicle and take her own “si yan” toilet roll and put inside the toilet for others to use.. Can it be like this ahh?
DeleteIn the first place, who put the toilet roll on top of the toilet? Cleaner or colleagues sin? If cleaner, then she’s not doing her job lor.. If colleagues, err, then maybe like what I said, could be she wana do good to others and sponsor her own toilet roll, but malas wana put inside the paper hanger hor…

hahaha, so good got colleagues bring in "sii for" toilet paper, but if she is bring in often then very fast broke also woh like forever supplying toilet paper.. if i really need to use my "sii for" papers hor, then i will bring in and bring out also lor.. the company should be responsible to make sure there is supply mah, tak kan ask the staff to bring own toilet paper right??

Talking about toilet roll, sometimes, in the public toilet, they have many cubicles, and it so happen certain cubicle no toilet paper, if not crowed, can choose the cubicle with toilet paper in it...

DeleteI guess guys is okay la! For girls argh, if can't find the squat one, then have to use the seat one, then we need extra more and more toilet paper to wipe the seat first before we sit!!
Deletepulic toilet here depends where lah.. some provide toilet papers but some don't, and if provided, it's not in every cubicles but places outside, if you need then you have to take from outside and bring in..
DeleteLooking at Sharon's comments now, I realised how nice if all our toilets here are the bidet style seats like in Japan. You could choose the many buttons to spray, wash and perfume your anus plus music to lull your business inside the toilet. Muahahahaha

Only when pregnant liao a whale then cannot squat forced to use sit down one. even then the toilet paper is a necessity coz will layer the board wth many layer of tissue paper before sit down. . I duno la....either my arse not big enough or what...it shoot till my pants also wet. Darn it! I swear that would be the one and only time am using that one. No more for me. some more no toilet rolls in the cubicle. damn embrassing la walking out with wet pants.
one more thing is some times i see the batang thing sticking out from the toilet....the rim there so darn full of grimes...Dare not use. Mana tau if it is the previous people punya ahem ahem...
Better be safe and stick to tissue paper. Tarak toilet roll...make sure before go into the cubicle pull some from the wipe hand roll outside there.

small company here, we don't hire cleaner but everyone got the responsibility to make sure the office is clean and tidy.. so no one to blame, hehehehe!!

ReplyDeleteSometimes I really wanna do the toilet roll replacing properly, but after syok syok pangsai, then cleaned up everything, then wash hand, then forgot about the toilet rolls already! XD
There was one time I forgot to do the replacement of new toilet roll. My husband sounded me, so I dare not forget anymore. Paiseh la! I must be the role model for my two girls. So, I must remember to replace the toilet roll each time it was used up. Now, I train my girls to do so.

We parents must be the role model to children, so that children will do the same when they grow up.
All these small things are actually very important. I kind of agree with SK. We should let this happen. Things should be placed at the right place, inclusive toilet papers.
Aiyo your hubby so ganas! I have to replenish all the toiletries, detergents, groceries and ensure the house is being cleaned plus all meals ready. I am happy to do that actually. My wife told me to become her wife in next life! @#^%*!

DeleteJin Jin is hygienic and fussy like SK. He helps in all house chores, but he get mad too if me and my girls are not up to his standard and mess up his house. So, we get sounded by him too on and off. Normal la! Yannie is actually more garang, kekeke!
muahahaha.. of course if i am bunking at someone's home and i see such situation, i will not make noise lah.. afterall i am not going to stay there for long also.. let what the hosts feel most comfortable with stay intact, hahahaha!!

DeleteIs this happening in your office toilets? If that's the case, then your cleaners not doing their job. Same as the toilets in my ex-company too. Those that are finish, they didn't threw away the empty rolls till evening while they conveniently put a fresh roll there in case it is finish. And the cleaners are full time!!

DeleteIf this happens in your home, then it's better you talk to your house-mates or siblings or whatever. Like any other things, there's also toilet etiquette. You have to make sure the toilet is in good order and clean after using. It's everybody's responsibility. My wife and I always taught our kids on toilet etiquette too.

I've friend last time in my uni, before she leave the campus she will go to toilet to take the big roll of toilet paper home, as those are the cleaners took out from the locked one! Because those just left like quarter or half of it! So the cleaner usually take it off put aside and replace a brand new one inside back in the "lock"! My friend she did that so because she said she can save money of the toilet paper at the hostel mah, don't have to purposely use extra money for the outlet paper lo!! =.=!! I guess is this part of the reason why they want to lock it up argh???

DeleteAnd mentioning about responsibilities especially in office, there are always some idiots who do not have any toilets manners. Besides the toilet rolls and etc, I don't want to describe it here and I let you imagine it. It's like seeing ghost in the toilet cubicle and not forgetting rolls of papers on the floor.....

DeleteThis world macam macam people ada la! For me I hate those people who wet the toilet seat! How la they use the water? Even if you wet the toilet seat, can you please lift up the seat let the water drip? Or if there's toilet paper inside, please help to wipe it dry a bit la!

yes lor, i can say i really very dulan this type of people.. so inconsiderate and only think of themselves.. some not even wet the place, but they also wet the whole roll of toilet paper, like that how to use the paper??!!

DeleteIn your first scenario, I admit that I sometimes do that at home. I know. It does not make sense to leave the full toilet roll on the tank while the empty core still sits in the holder. Why do I do that? I also cannot explain.
ReplyDeleteMaybe it' allright to leave the almost empty roll there while putting a new roll in case the old one has finished. That also to prevent wastage but throw away the old roll after changing it.
DeleteAt home I don't have the toilet roll holder one, I just put the toilet roll on the shampoo rack, so got holder or not I don't mind, hehe!
Deleteof course it's okay for me that you put a few roll on the tank as backup while there are still paper left on the holder.. but the one on the holder empty, and the one on the tank is used, it just seem not nice to me, haha!!

DeleteIn the office of course I don't do what I do at home. I care about the feelings of others who share the toilet. I replace the rolls if I am the last one to finish it and take the core to put away with the other recyclable papers.

DeleteI think this all boils downs to attitude, etiquette and common courtesy. These things have to be taught from young. If you are the only one occupying the house or space then you can do whatever you like, But when others are involved, do the proper thing lah. Remove the cardboard core from the holder, put the new toilet roll in and throw away the core. Is it that difficult? No, not at all. Phong Hong, listen to yourself!

DeleteTalking about toilet rolls, there used to be a time when someone used the toilet paper to dry their hands, This person practically used up one toilet roll in two days. Our office toilet rolls were flying off like nobody's business. Now that this person is gone, we don't have that problem anymore.

DeleteToilet roll is an important commodity leh. In the office, I always every now and then do stock check. If I see one more left in the pack, I will put in on the shopping list. At home I also do the same thing. But of course if it runs out, next best thing is tissue paper.

DeleteAnyway, I don't have much problems on running out of toilet rolls at home cause my MIL always stock up the toilet rolls, like every week or every 2 weeks.
tissue paper is just good as a last resort lah, but then tissue paper sometimes may not be that "sturdy" to wipe, you know what i mean, hahaha.. anyway, you are right, must always check the stock, it's a very important commodity at home or in office.. :D
DeleteIt may seem trivial to some people the situation you highlighted but to some it is extremely irritating. I think it is best if possible to sound it to everyone concerned so that everyone is on the same page with regards to toilet paper issues be it at home or at work.

DeleteOne more thing about toilet roll is the way it is placed i.e. the paper comes out over the top or from the bottom. I know the conventional way is from the top like the second picture but sometimes I accidentally put it the other way around. Any issues there?

Another thing that sets me off is when people splash water in the toilet and the toilet roll gets wet. Arrghhh!!!

ReplyDeleteReminds me of my ex working place, toilet no prepare toilet paper one, even the cleaner is there every single day, so each of us will need to spare toilet rolls on our own cubicles and bring it to the toilet. Luckily toilet roll is office prepare one la, and not asking us to buy on our own, so I got no complains.
Deletemaybe too many people in the office already?? then your company really need to stock up a lot, or at least everyone knows where to get new rolls of toilet papers just in case those in the toilet runs out..

DeleteActually, for guys, it's better to flush it with water after doing your business rather than using toilet papers. It's much cleaner.. :)

DeleteAnyway, that's the pro and con of having water flush. Some folks will flush the water to clean their backside until like the entire toilet floods. On the other hand, it's more hygienic to clean with water than using toilet paper and spare all these issues mentioned by SK.

DeleteToday is a rant post? Actually not OCD because sometimes the top of the toilet water tank is very dusty so if the toilet roll is put on top of it, one end of the toilet roll will become dusty too so knowing that would you still want to use that toilet roll?
ReplyDeleteI assume you went into this toilet and saw this so you took a photo. Then you very civil minded put the toilet roll into the toilet roll holder and put the cardboard roll on top of the toilet water tank and took a photo. Then after that you did throw the cardboard toilet roll into a paper recycle bin to be recycled.
I guess it must be the toilet cleaner who placed that toilet roll on top of the toilet water tank if this is a public toilet. Guess the person must be in a hurry so quickly put one roll and left. Usually they do put it in the toilet roll holder.
If this is your office, then did you find the toilet roll keeper and remind them that they need to put the toilet roll into the holder next time?
BTW, just to let you know my house toilet does not have a toilet roll holder and we do not put the toilet roll on top of the water tank. Why? because we do not use toilet rolls because of environmental reason, hehehe.
haha.. you really now me well!! yes, actually these situations did not happen in my office, but i just created the scenes for the sake of this post. hahaha.. there's no cleaner here since we are still small, so everyone is expected to keep the place clean and tidy lah..

I just don't like that there's NO toilet paper at all in the toilet, 最怕最讨厌就是完全没厕纸了。
At least must ready a big roll of toilet paper outside la (near the washing basin), so that whoever can just take some of it and go toilet.
Usually those toilets in the mall/restaurants/offices (high class places) sure will maintain this la, but those small small places/hawker centers won't have, so sometimes also must see which place is it and be rational also la.
Hayley, is true that the worst day is NO toilet paper in the toilet and no water to wash, especially when do the big business ya...serious, can't imagine that...

Worse is if you know there's someone who is waiting outside to use the toilet, if you leave she sure knows is you, paiseh leh.. Then what to do? Takkan stay inside the toilet?? See, 进退两难 la!!
DeleteSo it is about Toilets etiquette! hehehehe... If public toilet, sure no paper one.. if got, it is a bonus.. I don't expect any...and I dont mind if it is not put properly... as long as they are there for use... :)
ReplyDeleteactually not really a big deal lah, if compared to when seeing just empty roll on the holder and not any other paper inside the toilet, hahahaha!!

ReplyDeleteIf your office punya , you have to KNS the cleaning lady lor. why tarak put in properly. Not need 5 minute to do that leh ....Cham or not..
Put on top of the toilet water tank there very dangerous la. later ter-opps and fall into the toilet bowl how? who is gonna fish it out. so yucky leh. If forcefully flush, sure the toilet will become clogged and need to spend more money to call plumber and kau tim it. So it is much better for you to tell the cleaning lady to do it properly la. Put into the slot correctly.
If it is photo taken from public toilet then nothing to say la . Either the cleaning lady is lazy or.....not in the mood kot.
ReplyDeleteBut I suspect if in public toilet, the cleaning lady maybe bringing a big packet of toilet roll going from cubicles to cubicles. So she just plonk the thing on the water tank first pending to be insert to the holder later.
Coz if her one hand holding the big plastic of toilet roll...how she going to insert the new roll into the empty roll place. You know la. Public toilet floor are usually wet and same goes for the toilet seat. If she were to put on the floor or toilet seat then the plastic maybe be wet. That would be yucky leh. Some more you know those plastic sometime have holes at the bottom. bocor leh. The water may go through. then how? just continue let it dry and hang it on to the roll? Not so nice la.
Hence she might just put on top of the tank first the later on when she come back to clean the toilet of sampah she will open the hanger and throw away the empty roll baru insert the new roll...
That is what i guess happend la ...dunno logic or not
even if hang on the toilet paper place also not so good.
ReplyDeleteAm not sure about men toilet but ladies one have the hose to wash feet or bum bum. I duno why or what happen la....sometimes when i go to the ladies, i see the toilet roll hanging there are wet. Suspect that when they wash leg or bum bum some how or what the water sprayed to the roll of toilet paer. Yuck! that is so gross. Worst still after the toilet roll dried up.....stick together. so I wont dare to use coz i can't help imagine that the roll of toilet paper had some how dropped on to the floor or worst into the toilet bowl and they just sumbat back into the hanger thing that.
xtaiyayaya...me banyak complain. nect time bring own toilet roll hahahaha
I am guilty of this, I always very lazy to remove the empty core from the holder and put a fresh roll of paper on it. I always leave the roll of paper on the tank.
ReplyDeleteMost scare is you do your business then later found out no toilet paper so better check if there is toilet paper before you do your business.
I ever saw a TV commercial in Taiwan, there is this kind of soapy toilet paper which is supposed to clean your butt better because it contains soap, rather than the normal toilet paper which is dry and does not contain soap to remove your "sai"

ReplyDeletelately i noticed toilet facilities are getting worst all around malaysia.
1. Of course wet and dirty (due to ppl like to spray their butt with the hose
2. Toilet tissue issues like you state.
3. Even worst, no toilet tissue provided in the cubicle now (tissue holder also dont have dy!). have to take from the one and only tissue holder at the handwash area. Many new/existing mall in kuala lumpur is/become like that.
4. Toilet seat always dirty wan!
5. etc (comments never end geh)
conclusion, i love japan toilet. lol.

還能接受，只要不把那個core留下就可以了，
